Mysterious Shop

There is a mysterious shop at the Smith Haven Mall, with dark and mystical objects and a dark and mystical owner.

There is no hunting area immediately attached to the mysterious shop, though it does connect to the Mall.

Notes:

Introduction Event

  • If a player encounters the Strangeshop event while Outside the player will begin being chased by an angry mob of monsters, only to be saved by a Shadowy Figure! You will then be brought into the Mysterious Shop by what is revealed to be Nermine.


                                        WARNING - YOU MAY ONLY CHOOSE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING TRANSFORMATIONS, ONCE ONE QUEST CHAIN IS STARTED THE OTHER IS UNOBTAINABLE!
                                          The Player may reset their transformation by talking with Nermine at any stage before they achieve full mutation

Helper Quest (Jackalboy)

  • Upon entering the Shop the Player may decide to help Nermine.
  • Nermine will offer the Player a deal that for help with a few chores she will help indeed, and also address your problem of 'Looking Like That.' Acceptance of her offer will grant the Player 1x Jackal totem, which has to be consumed before the Player can help Nermine again.
 * Use totem will consume the totem, granting the First Jackalboy mutation, the Tail. +3 Dexterity
 * This Jackalboy mutation will revert any other Tail mutation.
  • Nermine will now give the Player her first Quest, to fetch her 3 Samples of Wyvern Goop in order to make a Charm for another customer. Wyverns can be easily hunted from Outside the Library.
  • Once aquired, Player returns to the shop and eagerly receives 1x Jackal totem.
 * Use totem will consume the totem, granting the Second Jackalboy mutation, the Fur. +4 Charisma
 * This Jackalboy mutation will revert any other Skin mutation.
  • Once the Second totem is used, Nermine will give the Player her second Quest, to head into the Museum and locate her a sample of satyr wine, the Player can barely wait to set out!
  • Once in the library, keep heading east into the Museum until you get the Bacchus Wine event, where after a Dexterity check [unknown value - passed with an 18/unknown failure result] you successfully hide from the encounter, and use Nermines Vial to take a wine sample.
  • Once aquired, Player returns to the shop and eagerly receives 1x Jackal totem... but this time its grinning.
 * Use totem will consume the totem, granting the Third Jackalboy mutation, the Head. +3 Perception
 * This Jackalboy mutation will revert any other Head mutation.
  • Once the Third totem is used, Nermine will give the Player her third Quest, but not before a cheeky kiss and promises of future delights! This time she wants 3x Peacock Feathers, which the Player can easily hunt from the High Rise District.
  • Once aquired, Player returns to the shop and eagerly receives 1x Jackal totem... and this time your grinning too!
 * Use totem will consume the totem, granting the final Jackalboy mutatation, the Legs. +4 Dexterity
 * This Jackalboy mutation will revert any other Leg mutation.
 * This Jackalboy mutation will also change any Genital description to Jackalboy, but will not affect number or size of Genitals, or Genital changes in the future.
  • The Player can now sleep with Nermine every 18 hours.
 * Sleeping with Nermine will move you more towards being a complete Jackalboy. +Chance of +1 Dexterity / +1 Perception / +1 Intellect +Male -Cocks -Female


Rare Item Quest (Jackalman)

  • Upon entering the shop the player may choose to Talk Rare counter to enter into series of jobs for Nermine.
  • Offering to help Nermine will have her offer the Player some jobs with the promise of payment in Gold.. Golden Ankhs that is! The job is collecing up some Special Fruit...
  • The Player must adventure in the Park until they discover the Twisted Fruit grove event. The Player must then defeat 3 Parasite Plants Failure results in a unique scene witha chance to try again.
  • WARNING: If the Player fails the second much harder battle, they get a unique game over instead.
 * Note this unlocks the Injured Felinoid quest if you win either battle.
  • Talk to Nermine over the rare counter and receive her latest bid to improve you!
 * Use ankh will consume the ankh granting the First Jackalman mutation, the Tail. +4 Dexterity 
  • Now Nermine wants some rare coins and the Player must complete the A treasure well earned! quest.
  • The Player must bring some of the treasure back to Nermine for the next Ankh.
 * Use ankh will consumer the ankh granting the Second Jackalman mutation, the Fur. +3 Charisma +3 Stamina
  • The Player must now find some Jewelry from the Museum that is a lot harder to find than advertised! First the Player will need to find out where the items are, so adventure in the Museum (SP) until they discover the Stolen Artifacts event. Afterwards the Player must talk to everyones favorite Sphinx Valerie and she tells them that next they need to find how the thieves got in.
  • Continue adventuring in the Museum till you discover the Alternative Entry event.
  • At this point some help is needed, the Player must talk to Mary at the New Ewe Store (unlocked by the Little Lost Lamb quest) who will give them the last piece of information you need to find who stole the items.
  • The Player must now confront the people who have it in a very tough series of fights by encountering the Hyena Challenging event found outside.
  • Note:
  *  If you have lost to the Hyena Matriarch before, this part of the quest will not be finishable, though they do enjoy your attempt. 
  *  If you have already become the Hyena Matriarch, this part of the quest is extremely easy. 
  • At this point the Player must fight between four Hyenas followed by the Matriarch, careful as losing to the Matriarch ends the quest here, however it may be possible to redo the event if failed before her.
  • Finally the nice easy item retrieval is complete! The Player must talk to Nermine for their next and according to her, last Ankh.
 * Use ankh will consume the ankh granting the Third Jackalman mutation, the Head. +4 Charisma +4 Perception
 * The Player now experiences two short scenes based on succumbing to, or rebeling against Nermine.
  • But wait, you aren't complete yet, and while Nermine doesn't want to make you even better, there is someone at the Museum who just might be able to help!
  • The Player must adventure in the Museum (SP) until they encounter the Anubis Statue event where someone sends you to the Zoo to gather some new ingredients for him.
  • The Player must adventure in the City Zoo until they encounter the Beastial Pheromones event and fight with several Cheetah Women after which they will be able to return to him at the Museum and claim your final ankh!
 * Use ankh will consumer the ankh granting you the Fourth and Final Jackalman mutation, the Body. +4 Strength +2 Dexterity

Bargain Bin

  • For the price of a bottle of water and a food, the player may 'sort or hunt bargain' to find a random object. They will find one of many random items, resulting in a mini-scene. Sometimes positive benefits occur, sometimes negative ones. Though in many cases, what is positive or negative is purely up to the player's preference.

Hospital Quest

  • Dr. Mouse will eventually send the player to the mysterious shop at the Mall to finish a transaction he'd started with Nermine as part of the Hospital Quest. Talking to Rod and Ronda about this will give some flavour text. Nermine will end up sending the player off to the Museum to find a Viking Longboat (Museum event) to steal the gems from the dragon figurehead as payment for an ancient object. Showing this object to Dr. Matt before handing it over will shed some light on the contents, but raise new questions for the rational scientist.

Stables Quest

  • As part of the Stables Quest, you will be asked by Fancy to get some stuff from Nermine, who will make another request of you.
