Cooldown, also called Recharge, determines how long it takes before you can use a power again. The amount of cooldown is specific for each power. Cooldown begins at the moment a power hits its target and decreases at 200 plus Recharge per ATB tick; if the power doesn't go off, cooldown does not occur. (Note: Charge happens even if a power does not fire.) Cooldown may also be reduced by the InstantCooldown status. Trying to use a power that is on cooldown will automatically cause the player to pass until the cooldown ends, if they have enough energy for the power.
