If something needs to be decided, we have a meeting and hash it out, you know?" His attention slides over to Fenris. "You need a body? We can do that! We just need a mold to work with and enough metal to pour in and we'll have all the bodies you need. You trade with that electronic money, yes? Credits?" |

To the south lies the factory in question. According to the intel, it's being held by body builders. No, not that kind. They literally construct bodies. To what end, unknown, but it's a waste of resources. The factory has to be cleared out, then repaired and brought online. RSX will handle the latter. The group is for the former.
It'd been a while since Otto had done anything for his old RSX Benefactors. He'd done his best to alienate himself from them, but the prospect of clearing out a factory, ripe with salvage and perfect for advancing one of the reasearches he was leading? It was just too good to pass up. The coyote had primed his weapons, cleaned and sharpened each and every one of them, then made his way to the spot where he would gather with the other agents heading into the facility. He had high hopes, and wondered if he would see any familiar faces. There didn't seem to be anyone around yet, though...
Fenris trots up wearing the upper half of a police uniform and a pleasant smile. The tubby tanuki rests his hands on his heavy utility belt and looks out over the factory. "Don't think I have ever heard of Body Builders quite like this," he says, "What do they do with a body once they have made it?" Fenris has no real connection to RSX, but this sounded like a suitable adventure!
Oh how lucky, based out of the prison in Woodfield, Cerris decides to respond to the RSX call as a representative of his crew and as an excuse to get away from the administrative duties he's been shirking since returning to the region.
Double checking his wrist mounted comm unit, he he verifies he's on the right track, quietly loping up to the muster point north of the staging ground. The scent of coyote put him on edge, but rather than voice his misgivings or resume open hosilities, he simply maintains his distance, pinging RSX to let them know he is on site and ready to commence house keeping.
Arris walks to the building from the east. Seeing a small smattering of agents already present in a group, sie approaches and attempts to listen in on any details sie can catch. Spotting Cerris, sie gives him a brief handwave before discreetly walking around the crowd and over to him. "Hey, you know what the details are for this mission?"
Cerris dips his head down to give Arris a verifying sniff before nodding his head "Looks pretty simple, there are things active in the factory...we make them inactive or evict them. Later RSX will come and clean up the mess they expect us to make. Easy day and a chance to say you did something to advance the return of civilisation on a larger scale."
"The body builders? Well, if they cooperate, all the better. If not, then we convince them to do so." Otto grins and cracks his knuckles once he spots the tanuki. He looked familiar somehow, though Otto could not immediately place him. Once more folks start to pool in, he nods and waves at them individually, sometimes moving in to shake hands here and there, exchange the obligatory pleasantries and mingle with the crowd. Once Eri shows up, the canine looks more than a little bit surprised to see her, and immediately moves in to give her a hug, his tail wagging excitedly behind him as he greets his close friend. That done, he clasps his paws and looks about the group. "Run in and clear it out for RSX. That's about it." he exclaims, then looks towards the building. "Let's get moving."
As if drawn by the sounds of jolly conversation out front, a rather strapped man with muscles on his muscles steps out from the darkness. Marring his tough look is the fact that he appears very much like he's in his sixties. Maybe that's just how his strain works? "What ho, have you come to sign up for gym membership?" His eyes fall to the smallest member of the group, Pelle. "We'll have you worked into shape at no time at all."
"Sure, sure," Fenris says with a pleasant smile, "No problem." The tanuki unslings his long, ornate spear from his back and starts in a bouncing trot toward the factory. No stealth. No plan. Just infinite optimism and a brass badge that reads SGT. CHUBBS. "Hullo!" he calls out, "Heard there was body building?"
Eri knew only of Otto's predictability and the margay simply follows her nose from that point forward, knowing just how Otto may get into trouble it was probably best he had a friend or two around and so the rather large margaytaur simply stalks after the coyote silently slinking after. Though offering a hug in turn of course with a purr!
Pelle flies out from one of the clouds and spots a group of people desiding to land beside dem, dran to this lokasjon she looks at the factory wer the mission is gona be held at, she wakes the rest of the way and greats the group "hi is thos wer i herd der to be a mission to cleer a factory?" the xanadu bird seams not well peperd for this mission weat only her armor on bot somting seams to be weard at curtem plases at her armor
The mutant almost bumps into Fenris, the two going towards one another. "Oh, that enthusiastic? Fantastic! There is an admission fee, but you look like you can handle that without an issue."
Fenris is pleased to find such a nice reception, though if he is surprised it does not show. "Great!" he says happily, reslinging his spear, "Don't know much about all this body building stuff. What's the fee? I have some cookies. And some tea bags. Then there was some other business, I think, but this sounds fun too!"
Otto snerks as he watches Fenris' antics. He crosses his arms and shakes his head "I was told the body builders were not literal body builders. Are you going to take us into the factory if we shell out the admission fee?"
Arris nods, looking at the mutant emerging from the shadows, then back at Cerris. "You think we might have gotten the wrong place? I mean, they said it was body building, but in a more literal sense." Sie pauses, looking at the entrance to the factory, then speaking to Cerris a bit more quietly. "Between you and me, I'd rather not go for a workout. My looks aren't pulled off by working, it's from keeping the chubbiness on."
He hikes a thumb inside. "Just some scrap. Metal, electronics, the like. We have to keep this place running after all, and it won't do that on just good intentions, we tried that." He laughs at his own joke as he turns to the factory. "Just some from each of you to keep cover the upkeep, then we can head inside and get to making a new you!"
"New me huh?" Otto grins and reaches into his pack to retrieve some salvage. The coyote was already a master of his own physical form, so he couldn't help but be a little bit intrigued by what they'd find inside. Who knows, perhaps there was something new to be learned about physical fitness here. Then again... they have to kinda sorta clear out the damn building for RSX to claim it, so perhaps pointing that out to their bombastic muscular new friend would not put a smile on his face. "Sure, let's see what ya got. Will this do?" the coyote presents a few choice pieces of usable salvage.

I mean other than a coed steel works in this day and age...what next, it turns into a disco?
Pelle wonders to the bodybuilder and offers a bit of mecanikal and electronic salvage "will this be ok, mey i enter as the odders did?"
Arris quickly unzips hir swimsuit and discards it behind a tree before sie follows after the group, keeping the group between hirself and the bodybuilder. Sie glances around the repurposed factory as they go past, beginning to fan hirself with hir hand once they reach the smelting area.
The bodybuilder is glad to accept all 'donations' to their effort. "As you can see, they're working on a body right now." With a great splashing, the pot of molten metal is poured out into a huge basin shaped just so, not that one can see what that shape may be. "We take pride in every one we make, and today you'll join us! It's so rare we get people willing to lend a hand and get a great workout doing it."
Eri letting Otto out of her cleavage and free of her hug the margay taur merely hoists Otto up and then onto her tauric half before marching forth with various broken gun parts in hand to spend for the salvage costs, passing it to their host before wandering for the hot gates and farther along, since she has such stalwart and wary companions the feline chooses not to worry. Though she does eventually say. "I feel like we're going to be building some sort of giant robot..."
"Oh, I see." Otto nods in understanding once the picture becomes clear. "Folks came here to work the heavy machinery and get a proper workout, then? Hell, I could go for a good..." he interrupts himself once Eri speaks up behind him "That'd be pretty badass, wouldn't it though?" he smiles at her, then returns his attention to the group. The others seemed a bit more on-edge than he or Fenris were. "So listen... is there a superior we can talk to around here, or do we just speak with you? Because you see, as great as the workout sounds, we're actually here on business."
Pelle will folow dose the group filing a bit alone she wonders closer to the taur and the coyote
Fenris's smile does not waver. "Oh! I was confused!" he says, "I thought you were going to help us build our own bodies. Who are you building bodies for?" The tanuki stands on tip toe, trying to see into the bins and crucibles, trying to figure out what is being made. "I mean," he continues, "Do you take commissions? I think that Woodfield and RSX were sort of hoping to get you to make some stuff for them."
Many heads turn at the mention of a superior. The one that led them in laughs softly. "Not that kind of superior, guys, get back to work." They laugh and grumble, but get back to it in seemingly good spirits. "We're a bit of a commune here. Nobody's 'in charge' per se. If something needs to be decided, we have a meeting and hash it out, you know?" His attention slides over to Fenris. "You need a body? We can do that! We just need a mold to work with and enough metal to pour in and we'll have all the bodies you need. You trade with that electronic money, yes? Credits?"
