This page is a walkthrough for getting the Ancient Tome, going to the Hell Realm, and how to get the ancient tome and the demonologist companion.

In order to get the Ancient Tome, the player must recruit Eric from the Tenvale College Campus and bring him to the bunker. The player must be level 8.
If Eric is familiar with the player and has not found the Ancient Tome yet there is a 50% chance Eric will have found the tome and be reading it when the player returns to the Grey Abbey Library.
Take the tome immediately or let Eric keep it for a while. The player can get the tome later if Eric keeps it.
Carry around the Ancient Tome for a while and it will prompt the player to use the tome. Do this three times and the player will be able to fully read the Ancient Tome.

The Ancient Tome can be used to experience scenes with Egg-Laying Tentacles or a Demon Fox, but only for male players.
The Ancient Tome has a cooldown before it can be used again.
It may be possible to be soft-locked out of the tomes content if the player is regarded as Female when they read the tome, even if they become male later.

Encounter the Hellish Trashpile event at the Warehouse District
Either wait for the imp to finish away or draw him out for a fight with an Imp.
After completing the fight or waiting for the imp to finish you will acquire a Demonic Ritual Tape.
Watch the Demonic Ritual Tape. You will need a video camera from the Outside Exploration event Lost Camera.
If the player does not already have the Ancient Tome, the player muses that the book is still at The Grey Abbey Library but will need the help of someone from the college to find it.

Notes:: Encountering the Hellish Transhpile event repeat times can reward you with either Demon Seed, Libido Pill, or nothing.; Watching the Demonic Ritual Tape before having the Ancient Tome can soft-lock the player out of the Hell Realm Questline.

Theoretically, after the player has done the above steps an entry to use the book to mimic the ritual should appear when using the Ancient Tome. The person writing this guide had difficulty getting the option to show up, so everything after this bullet point is based on code.
The player will need one Demon Seed and one Libido Pill to complete the ritual
A portal to the Hell Realm will appear. There are three options to get in:

1. Fight 3 Demon Brutes
2. Submit to the Demon Brute (game over bad end scene)
3. Free entry if the player is a Demon Brute or has the Brutus companion. If neither, fight 1 Demon Brute.

Trying to find out how to get this questline done was a pain. It seems very buggy if you're playing as a female character.
