The First Werewolf
REDACTED returns from yet another trip to the restroom. She looks flushed, her ears sitting down, and her fur itching in some really uncomfortable places. Tails twitching agitatedly. She moves over to press herself up against her mate. "I must have some sort of illness coming on." She says, exasperated.
Sorien hugs. "Well... About that, sweetie..."
Sorien softly churrs, "I know what the problem is. (she's keeping her voice down, but the sharper-eared would likely catch it.)"
REDACTED says, "Hmmm?" distracted already. "I'm sorry, I'm getting distracted easily today too."
Sorien nuzzles. "Well... Have you seen this anywhere else? Anyone else acting like this?"
Taggart yawns large and loud as he steps out of the back hallway with a cup of hot tea, looking a bit worn and beat up. The Irishman rolls his shoulders, uncomfortably, as if he's slept poorly, his free hand moving up to rub and massage a shoulderblade through his shirt. Glancing him, he gives a small wave to all gathered, but frowns then, giving a small sniffle. Blinking rapidly, he tweaks his own nose and then frowns again, shrugging before he crosses to the bar.
REDACTED frowns, "No... Not that I can think of." Her brain’s clearly not working very well today.
Sorien waves to Tag distractedly, then continues talking quietly to REDACTED. "Maybe... Me from time to time?"
REDACTED' ears twitch and her head quirks, looking at her mate closely, then it finally dawns on her, "Oh... oh crap." She suddenly looks very self-conscious.
Taggart blinks again, both bushy eyebrows raising up as the two females appear to come to a conclusion without him. "Everythin' alright, then?"
Sorien giggles. "Welcome to the club." She embraces REDACTED. "It’s not too bad, and hopefully the pills that Z sells will help." Looking at Tag, she grins a bit. "Its girl stuff, sweetie."
REDACTED is immediately silent, looking very uncomfortable. She looks like she is trying to shrink up into a little ball and disappear, but before long she's distracted again by her mate's touch.
Sorien gently scritches REDACTED' back. "It’s okay, and nothing all that terrible. Just... Inconvenient."
Taggart frowns gently, and then leans in, sniffing at REDACTED a few times. He seems... oddly confused. "You... yer..." The Irishman just shakes his head and wrinkles his nose, as if he's caught whiff of something particularly pungent. Turning head aside, he winces and rubs at his shoulder once more, pulling his head back to sip from his tea.
REDACTED' body immediately reacts to her mate's touch, her voice shifting into a steady purr almost immediately as she presses herself against Sorien. Her scent fills the room even stronger than it was before.
Sparhawk wanders through the room looking for something. "Taggart! Might I get something to take away with me? Preferably meat for my daughter who devours knowledge like salami?"
Sorien softly churrs, "Oh my. (giggle) You got it BAD. But it’s the first time, so."
[Taggart(#9274)]: At the sudden increase of scent, the Irishman's eyes roll around in his skull for a moment, as if he's suddenly dizzy and the hand at his shoulder reaches out to catch himself on the edge of the bar. "Oi... bloody'ell."
Sorien softly churrs, "Tag? You okay?" Sori kisses REDACTED on the cheek and gets up to go to Tag. "You don't look so good...""
REDACTED holds herself, not really sure what to do. She seems distracted once again.
Taggart shakes his head, finger and thumb moving to pinch the bridge of his nose. "Slept sumtin' orrible last night... aches an' wut all day. 'an she bloody reeks. I ain't never smelled a lass like that." He swallows, slow and hard and looks up at them both. His emerald eyes are bloodshot, the crimson fluid infringing upon the green of his iris. "It ain't unpleasant... jus'..." He lifts his head once more, wolf-like, eyes half-lidding as he sniffs again.
Sorien softly churrs, "Oh... Geez. But you're human... That shouldn't hit you in the least... "
REDACTED seems too distracted to notice Taggart's reaction, the itching all over her fur, especially at her tail base is almost too much. "Do... do you have those pills? Anything to stop this love?" She asks meekly.
Sorien softly churrs, "No, sweetie, not on me..."
REDACTED groans and shivers as a nerve is struck down there... again, releasing her thick musky vulpine scent into the room.
Sorien glances back and forth between REDACTED and Tag, knowing things are WAY cockeyed but not certain exactly how.
Sparhawk glances over at REDACTED, who is covered in itching and fidgeting. "Smells like a fox, which smell like skunks do sometimes all the time. I think I've got some scavenged febreeze among my supplies..." The gryphon, with much more modest heat-scent, leans on the bar and peers around for the cold cuts."
Sorien softly churrs, "... I don't quite think that'll help, Spar sweetie..."
Taggart reels again as Spar leans in close, a momentary flare of his nostrils picking it up as well. The man can only groan, dropping his cup of tea to the wooden floor as his hands each grasp the countertop. Large, deep breathes in his mouth and out his nose can be heard, head ducking down between his arms and shoulders while knuckles turn white on the mahogany bartop.
The loud sound of crashing ceramic pulls REDACTED up out of her stupor, and she looks up in confusion and concern at Taggart, and tries to say, "What's happening?" but slurs the statement.
Sorien softly churrs, "Tag, I think we need to get you to bed. Come on, sweetie, I'll get you upstairs." (She moves to help the human.)"
Sparhawk blinks. "I'm gonna...go borrow a doctor maybe. Nothing pleasant follows Tag breaking cups." Shi backs away, eyeing the human who's being pretty weird. Certainly gets out of Sorien's way.
Taggart dumbly shakes his head between his arms, "Not... tired..." He mumbles it, but then the breathing changes from the slow, method of trying to calm, to slightly faster paced pants, tempo changing. Nostrils flare once more and very suddenly the edge of the bartop splinters as fingers clutch through the carved root, jagged wood lacerating the soft flesh of his fingers as blood trickles.
Sorien softly churrs, "Never said you were, but something's not right sweetie. Come on, let’s get you upstairs."
REDACTED sniffs the copper tint of Tag's blood filling the air mixing her her vulpine musk and Spar's light heat scent. She tries to get up to come over and find out what's wrong with Taggart, but immediately sits back down, the drive to be filled putting too much on her to not have -some- sort of pressure against her rear.
Sparhawk shuffles farther away regarding the broken root with obvious alarm. "Not a normal thing, busting open ancient trees with your fingernails! Particularly not your own bar."
"This... is not okay. I can't deal with this happening every cycle." REDACTED cries.
Man-shoulders hunch once more, the muscles of the Irishman's arms bulging almost grotesquely with unforseen strength as his head slowly raises upward. His eyes have shifted from the emerald to that of a deep crimson and his already oversized teeth have extended slightly. "God, get her to SHUT UP!" The voice is gravely, a strange mix of Taggart and some otherworldly animal, but his crimson gaze locks on the fidgeting and uncomfortable REDACTED.
Sorien looks at the tension in Tag's back and the damage to the bar. "Spar... Can you get REDACTED home please? I really think that'd be a good idea..."
REDACTED gasps, and shivers in fear at Taggart's words, "What... Taggart? What's wrong?"
Sorien steps back and makes sure she's between where Tag is and where REDACTED is. She drops into stance, relaxed looking but ready. "Spar, get her home please."
"No love, what's wrong with Taggart?" REDACTED cries again, her question a mixture of pain and concern. The concern about her friend breaking through the haze of her overwhelming heat.
Sorien softly churrs, "I'm not sure. Just go; I'll handle it. "
"Righto," is all Sparhawk says as shi is in sudden motion. The strong arms grab at REDACTED' arm and tug her away from the chair, working at combat speed to shift the incredibly dense lady. "Your room across the way?"
Sorien softly churrs, "But go slow. No sudden motions."
Taggart shivers, breaking out into a very sudden, but very heavy sweat as moisture clings to his forehead. He swallows again, followed by an animal whimper. It's then that the most visible start of the change happens. His shoulders buckle inward an inch between the blades and then spring outward, as muscle mass rips his shirt open and starts to crawl down from the bottom of his neck. It surges down his back and up and over his shoulders, arms expanding with dark reddish brown fur soon following after.
Sorien softly churrs, "Oooooh boy this is not good..." (She stays in stance, not taking her eyes off the changing Taggart.)"
REDACTED shudders at the touch from Sparhawk, for the fourth time her scent releases into the room. "What... is... happening?!" She cries out, confused by her body as well as Taggart's reaction, as she's tugged by Spar.
Sorien softly churrs, "When I know I'll tell you! (Her own heat is something she's used to ignoring, and right now the surge of panic she's fighting is definitely aiding in that; her eyes dart, locating cover and weapons that might be needed)"
Sickening pops and cracks of bone can be heard as he leans back, front of his shirt tearing open and his ribs visibly changing and shifting, growing thicker, stronger while his legs expand and then pop into an extra joint. His hands twist with claws as they suddenly come down and gouge into the bartop, his gaze suddenly rearing around to lock on REDACTED. Even not completely changed, he starts to pull himself over the bar, half-morphed legs not working properly yet as more clothing and boots tear and strip away.
Sorien sees the motion, and yells, "TAG! HEY! OVER HERE!" and waves her arms, to draw the shifting creatures attention from her mate.
Sparhawk's firm intention is to flop REDACTED across hir back and gallop on out of the room where incipient violence awaits. Shi's not sure what's happening either, but not having it happen to REDACTED is important. "File this under tell-you-later."
REDACTED finally sees what's happening, and her instincts kick in, a mixture of thick cloying fear and her sexual drive confusing them. She follows Sparhawk's lead toward the exit but stops, "Sori, love, come on." She says, wanting her mate not to stay behind.
Sorien softly churrs, "Out, sweetie. I'll be fine. We can't let 'em run off."
Taggart seems to ignore Sorien completely as that overwhelming scent of REDACTED fills the rapidly shifting muzzle of the wolf creature that is now in Taggart's place. It looks much like he did before, if more feral. The intelligence, when seen in those crimson eyes, is devious and nothing like the man that normally carries those orbs in his head. Digitigrade legs finally cooperating, he bounds over the bartop and directly at the fleeing Sparhawk and REDACTED. Of course, it is then noticed the massive erection the wolf creature has, his scent also impressive for a male.
Sparhawk squawks, "Come on, zoom time. You need a cold shower all over." Even dragging a laggardly REDACTED around there are few things that can compete with Spar's speed. "Up you go!""
Sorien doesn't hesitate. two quick steps and a SPIN plants her foot in the leaping thing's side, driving it well away from her mate and Sparhawk! As to harm? Unknown...
Taggart barely notices the kick, though it does send him away from intended target. He crashes through chairs and tables, turning them to firewood with ragged pieces sticking from his shoulder in a couple places. The wolf, however, seems as unstoppable as he once was, picking himself up as his gaze shifts to his attacker and the wooden sticks slowly being pushed out of his muscle by the natural regrowth of his cells.
Sorien waits, arms in the bizarre Mantis stance she favours. "We don't need to do this dance, sweetie. Get control!
REDACTED is hauled by Spar as Taggart's scent hits her nostrils it causes her body to react even further, her heat addled mind going completely, struggling to get out of Spar's grip.
Taggart ignores the words as if he doesn't hear them, leaning over onto all fours as he uses the extra momentum to charge at Sorien. A table sits in the way, but simply lowers his head and shoulder a half inch and ducks beneath it, only to send it up and over behind him with a swipe of a strong arm.
Sparhawk has dragged a few nigh-feral family members around in hir time, and deploys a clever distraction while attempting to apply hir superior number of limbs to REDACTED' dense set. "How many paintings have you done this week, REDACTED? Tell me the number." Hir squawking voice is slightly strangled by exertion.
Sorien awaits the charge, and just as he approaches she turns and lifts tail; a jet of wet mist blasts out right into Tag's sensitive nose and eyes! Skunks have a way of ruining romance!
REDACTED cries out, "Don't leave her there, Sorien!" As a bubble of thought and panic rides through her lust and haze. ***
Taggart blinks slightly as he watches Sorien turn, some deep part of the wolf creature processing. His charge scrambles, arms and legs scrabbling on the wood as his head raises up and his eyes shut tight. He catches the blast low, more to his mouth and neck, but he still catches it. However, this close, the wolf suddenly brings a clawed hand up, swiping straight for Sorien's midsection.
Cilan comes rushing down the stairs, a look of panic in her eyes as she hears the crashing, and the screaming, noticing the wolven Taggart, she calls over to him, trying to get his attention on her, "Hey, wolf, you want something to fight, THEN COME AND GET ME!" her stance moving into a threatening demeanour.
Sorien leaps over the blow, but it catches her leg causing her to spin to the side and land hard; she scrambles into the mess of broken furniture, getting back to her feet- Well, she DID get his attention at least...
Taggart pauses for a moment, ears flickering at the attempt of Cilan to catch his attention, but the wolf lifts his nose and tries to sniff. The skunk spray still thick in his muzzle, he growls and looks around. Obviously, skunk is the only thing he can smell. However, this doesn't seem to bother him too much as he turns his attention back to Sorien and leans back down onto all fours, slowly stalking toward the offensive woman.
Sparhawk takes wordless advantage of REDACTED's momentary clarity to dash with her out into the courtyard. Out of line-of-sight should help as Spar drops the kitsune onto the ground and points to the bathhouse. "Home. Count paintings. Write it down." Then Spar returns to the bar to skulk by the entrance and watch with regrettably-shiny scales.
Sorien starts circling, eyes on Tag and waiting for the likely attack. She flicks her tail, ignoring the little bit of blood from the wound on her leg; whether it’s serious or not she can't tell through the adrenalin-rush. She plans a matador approach; control, not direct conflict.
REDACTED groans on the ground, crawling to her hands, the wolf musk clearing she begins to calm slightly, the buzz of her heat is still in the foreground but she's finally able to process through it. She panics, realizing for the first the strange things happening to Tag, and Sori all alone in there. She gets to her feet, and begins turns back to where Spar went, then back to her home, not sure what to do.
One of the wolf/lynx children quickly trots over to REDACTED outside, looking concerned. Shi tilts hir head to the side, eyebrows arching upward in a manner similar to hir father's. "What's going on, REDACTED?"
REDACTED says, "Your father... something’s happening to your father. He's changing into a creature and... and has gone mad. Go, help my mate." She says, vehemently pointing toward the bar.
The child looks horrified, but nods and quickly stands, crossing the Lot and entering to look down at the scene below.
"I SAID.. OVER HERE!" is shouted as she rushes to Taggart, attempting to barrel him over with a powerful tackle, and subdue the beast, obviously a showing of her wish to bring the possible danger down, and then figure out what had happened later.
Sorien softly churrs, "Cil, shit, No! (Sori doesn't rush in, knowing that might get both of them killed; instead, she hefts one of the chair-fragments and lobs it at Tag!)"
Taggart feels his ears flicker at the shout, eyes darting just to the side as Cilan charges toward him. Sorien might catch something of a grin on that musk and saliva dripping muzzle, but he doesn't seem to make any other visible acknowledgement. However, as the chair fragment is chucked, his hands lift from the ground, left swinging up to knock it aside while his upper body twists. The giant wolf-thing greets Cilan's charge with a massive hug, latching about her and rolling as they go bounding across the floor and into the bottom of the bar, dislodging bottles and breaking glass as the smell of beer and liquor grows strong, mixing sickly with the skunk spray.
Sparhawk just cannot shut up! The bird's piercing voice rings out, "When this is over, I get to make fun of you forever! Smashing things, being naked in your own house! Chase me, Thinks-With-Dick!" Shi is coiled up like a spring at the staircase, backpack glowing but claws still folded away.
Taggart's child enters some time after Sparhawk, hir blended lynx and wolf features quite striking, only to be surprised by Sparhawk.
Sorien, seeing the disaster she'd been afraid of taking place, leaps after the pair by the bar. She shifts form, becoming a LOT bigger, grabbing Tag by the scruff and throwing him bodily across the room and away from Cil!
Taggart gives a sudden whine as he's grabbed, his grip around Cilan shaken free before he's tossed through the air. With a dexterity and centre of balance that most would find ridiculous, the wolf turns in mid air and "lands" upon the wall, claws gripping tightly before he counter-momentums and launches himself back at the newly-changed Clydesdale Sorien.
Sorien knows she's going to feel that in the morning.
Sorien earflats and just turns, a massive fist balling up and meeting the leaping wolf right in the face!
Tag's child crawls around Sparhawk, and shouts, "Da! Wut's going on?"
Cilan groans out a pained, "Ungh!" as her charge is countered with the massive hug, being wrenched away from his grasp she rises up from the ground and, prepares watches for an opening for her to throw a punch, or kick to help in bringing Taggart down.
Sparhawk says in a normal tone of voice, "We should leave," to the arrival of the child. Then shi dashes down to the main floor unconcerned with splinters and hollers "Cat wolf! Caaat wolf! Bastard child of a feral and a fire hydrant! Betcha can't find my face to punch it!"
Taggart rolls his head slightly to one side as he's launching at Sorien, her knuckle knocking his chin just a bit further to the side. His momentum, however, continues, but he again, pulls amazing feats of aerial acrobatics. Ears twitching the large and heavy wolf digs his claws onto Sorien's shoulders while his lower legs come up. This time, he uses her as a springboard and launches himself at the taunting Sparhawk, while sending to the Clydesdale back a few feet from the weight of him jumping off of her body.
"Hey, don'tcha go insulting my Da, or me." The child says to Spar, still not having seen his father's eyes.
Sorien staggers from the force of the kickoff and slams hard into the bar. "Oh fucking NO you don't" Shi snarls, and grabs and TWISTS one hindleg as hard as she can!
Sparhawk laughs madly and leaps hirself, wing and antigrav-assisted toward the doorway where a world full of less breakable stuff awaits. "Come, let us find the cold shower of the ocean!" Adrenaline burns through hir as shi stays just outside arm's reach, dancing with the wolf.
Tag's kid looks frightened, finally seeing hir dad's crimson eyes, "Da?" Is all he asks.
Sorien grabs and twists Taggart's hindleg as hard as she can, but to little effect. His bones seem to be made of steel and it appears that she does little more than give him a nasty fur-rubbing, tearing a bit of muscle and skin. This, however, seems to knit together, only moments later.
Sorien looks at the child. "RUN, kid!"
Cilan decides to duck out of the room, and charges towards Taggarts child, catching him and rushing into the kitchen.
Taggart growls and whines at the twist to his hindleg, stumbling slightly, but he quickly recovers and pounces after Sparhawk. The wolf's crimson gaze latch onto the child's for only a moment, and any recognition that the man might have at hir, is completely hidden behind the red. After the passover, he looks back after his taunting target, starting to claw and bound his way up the wooden steps.
Sparhawk growls for a moment. "Thrice-cursed goo blood, events conspire against me." The hexataur bends like a snake to let Cilan through, pacing up the stairs toward the open sky. "Watch out Tag, gonna go hug someone! You'll have to shoot me in the leg and feel smug about it! Half a chance and you'll take violence every time!"
Sorien follows the wolf, trying to figure out what might snap Tag out of it and coming up empty; she prepares to try to pin the maddened beast, waiting for the right moment...
Above, REDACTED has started to make her way toward The bathhouse and her home, but she hasn't made it all the way, her indecision and condition have left her with a laborious pace.
Taggart growls again and gives a wolf-bark at the taunting dragon, chasing hir out and into the Lot. When he reaches the fresh air, he stumbles just a bit and slows, his crimson gaze turning up to the star-filled sky and the large half moon. As he slows down, he raises up again and sniffs a few times at the air before raising his muzzle and letting out a mournful howl. However, it isn't that of a wolf, but a coyote, higher pitched and almost whining. Halfway through, there's a loud crack of a hunting rifle and Taggart suddenly pitches backward, the flash of a muzzle seen from up in the watchtower that overlooks the city from gate entryway.
REDACTED flinches at the noise of the howl, and then the gun. She focuses on the monstrous beast and begins to run for the bathhouse.
Sorien runs forward to see if Tag's alive; perhaps not the wisest choice on hir part.
Sparhawk dances up out of the pub door and gives a thumbsup to the general direction of up, not losing focus on Taggart. "Ignore my advice and receive peril!" Shi pauses to sigh as a ground-bound horse follows hir into the courtyard. "Please stay out of arm's reach, Sorien. That is officially advice."
Sorien slows but doesn't stop, worried for hir friend but wary of being diced as well.
Before Sorien can get too close, the wolf rolls to his side and hunkers down, growling warily at her as she approaches. The gunshot through his shoulder is slowly knitting shut before the light little plink of the spent round dropping to the ground is heard. However, Taggart-wolf lifts his nose again and catches smell of something, head turning toward the wall that separates the Lot from the city. His erection gives a visible lurch, but he turns and starts to bound off toward whatever seems to have caught his interest, the speed of such a big and heavy thing almost mind-boggling.
Sorien neighs, "Dammit, this is WHY I didn't want him outside! God knows who'll get hurt! (She goes after, shifting once again!"
The bloodloss of Sorien's wound and the act of shifting causes blood to drop from her head, causing a temporary blackout.
Sparhawk leaps into the sky with a sudden additional wyvern. "I know," shi says grimly, flapping faintly-glowing golden feathers to pursue the annoyingly fast wolf from the air.
Cilan emerges from upstairs, leaving Taggart’s child down below apparently, outside of the pub, she shifts to a better form, to take the wolf on, and like the other two, she takes to the skies, following the large wolf.
The Lot is quiet in the aftermath of Taggart bounding away into the city, Cilan, Sparhawk, and Sorien all ready to take to wing to try and track down wayward wolf.
Sorien shakes off the vestiges of the blackout, then glances about. She takes flight, following the trail of the maddened Taggart-beast. "Use your radios if you have them if you see him!"
Cilan nods as calls out, "Alright!" as she takes to the skies soon after Sorien, the large dragonesses eyes looking to the path of destruction, and of debris, to find her target; Taggart.
Sorien soars, following watching carefully for her quarry; she knows she's not a physical match, but she's hoping that she can at least slow or herd the maddened creature.
The large wolf creature doesn't seem to leave much more of a path of destruction than is already made in the apocalyptic city, but keen eyesight can pick up the bounding form moving straight east down first. He's moving straight down the middle of the road, apparently, not at all worried about his safety or the large target he might present. Of course, from what he's shown already, not many are capable of taking him down, so, he must be used to it.
Sorien follows, looking for the best opportunity for a strafing strike on the creature.
He seems to be moving up and over most cars, but then jumps straight through the husked out backseats of others. It's efficient, his path, making use of his large size, but dextrous speed at the same time.
Sorien powerdives, dead silent in the action and whips past Tag at full speed; her tail lashes out, the envenomed spur in the tip ripping into the wolfish beast as she arcs up and away in preparation for another strike!
Cilan attempts to swoop in, in the middle of one of Taggart’s jumps, using the point where he'd have little ground to stand on to her advantage, and using the speed gained from her descent, she attempts her original tactic again, plowing into him, using the much larger form to pin him down, being assisted further with Sorien's own attack.
Taggart gives a very sudden growl as that spur slashes into his back, his head turning and gait slowing slightly as he becomes aware of something above him. The venom doesn't appear to affect him, stumbling for a half second before he starts bounding and leaping across cars again. His direction changes, slightly, however, and he appears to be heading toward the large parking garage in this portion of the city. The wolf makes the occasional glance back over his shoulder as he does, catching sight of Cilan's decent. Unused to the aerial assault, he bounds and is knocked into by the large dragoness, while she tries to latch on with her claws. The wolf, however, is more than willing to shed fur and skin to pull his limbs free, scrambling and scraping out from beneath her to flee into the bottom floor of the garage.
Sorien hesitates, then swoops down. She shifts form, as the wyvern is going to be useless in the tight confines of the ramp.
Sorien softly churrs, "Dammit. Dammitdammitdammit. God I don't wanna fight him..."
Cilan watches as Taggart dashes off into the parking lot, and quickly shifts again, taking on Sorien’s idea, and picking a form that would do better in the garage, but still keeping the weight.
Cilan lustily hisses, "Yeah... well, we have to otherwise who the fuck knows what the guy'll do to any innocent that crosses his path!"
The garage is home to all sorts of creatures, as the two well know, but a few can be seen scampering wildly away from the garage at Taggart's entrance. The trail leads further in, the darkness and smells of who knows what as oppressive as they ever were.
Sorien softly churrs, "I swear to God I'm gonna deck Coyote." (She sighs) "Well, let’s see what we can do." She heads in, watching the trail left by Tag."
The trail leads into the first level of the garage, broken in places where the wolf has bounded over cars. Disturbingly, the amount of blood spilled grows fainter, as the wolf's regenerative properties kick in, denying them of their easy tracking. Thankfully, they don't appear to need it as they hear a loud scream from above them, a female of some sort. "Noooooooooooo! Git away!"
Sorien charges in towards the scream, the fear in it taking away her hesitation.
Cilan blinks in, and bounds off in a mad dash towards the scream.
The two race in further, heading for the ramp that would take them to the second level. As they listen over their echoing feet, they can hear the wolf growling and panting... and then they can hear the female moaning, and she doesn't sound so unhappy anymore. "P-please... no... wait! Oh gods!" An excited gasp echoes through the cement parking and the smell of sex grows strong in Cilan and Sorien's nostrils, both male and female incredibly enticing. Another sharp yell of excruciating pain and ecstasy, before the female starts to pant in time with the wolf, moaning and yelping.
Sorien says, "Oh, bloody hell..."
Sorien heads into the scene with some caution, knowing that the female, whatever she is, is likely to be killed if they startle the beast in its throes...
Sorien and Cilan round the corner to find Taggart-wolf brutally thrusting at the bent over form of a husky female, and brutally is almost an understatement. She is near limp, almost unconscious, shoulders bleeding gently from claws holding her tight, but she seems to be truly enjoying the breeding of the dominant wolf above and behind her. She is his plaything, at this point... the wet hole in which he's trying to slake his unquenchable thirst. Never even in twisted fantasies has there ever been so stark a representation of submissive and dominator, the wolf exuding a palpable aura of strength and unconquerable will.
Sorien earflats, not knowing what to do; she doesn't want to attack, as the poor creature is tied to Tag, but at the same time she can't wait for him to finish! She wishes for help, knowing Cil is there, but needing something that could bind the beast. Sori sneaks closer, hoping she'll not be noticed yet- he IS quite distracted after all.
Cilan comes to a screeching halt as she notices the scene in front of her, the metal plating covering her form letting loose a grinding screech as she slides to a stop, a look of discomfort crossing her as she notices the scene, "Ugh.. now then.. I.. uh.. I wasn’t expecting that.." looking curiously to Sorien, she waits, as if waiting for an order on how to split the two, the husky, and the wolf.
Sorien continues moving around to get the ideal point to strike; she knows she has to get them apart, and she'll just have one shot at it to keep the girl alive; she just wishes she didn't have to do it.
Taggart visibly cringes at the grinding screech of the metal behind him, the husky barely noticing as euphoric and numb as she is. His ears perk and his thrusting stops, turning his head while his knotted cock is hilted inside the poor creature beneath him. He sniffs at the air and then growls low before turning back to the woman wrapped about his shaft. He opens his jaws, about to crunch down lethally on the back of her neck.
Sorien swallows, and before the jaws clamp shut she charges in, pushing with all her strength and desperation to get Tag clear of his victim!
Cilan quickly pulls out one of her handguns the moment she notices the threatening action and quickly fires off a few rounds, each meant only to glance, and hit non-vital areas, hopefully to distract the wolf, and give it a more ideal foe, before too much damage can be done.
Taggart crunches down upon the husky's neck before he's barreled into, most of Cilan's slugs landing in the big fleshy wolf, but one tagging Sorien in the shoulder as well as she tries to disentangle the poor thing from him. His grip on the husky is iron tight, however, and she simply rolls with him and Sorien against the side of a car. The wolf growls ferociously and pulls the creature from his shaft, tossing her still limp body to the side with a small spray of blood from between her legs before he rolls around in fury at the skunk who dared to attack him.
Sorien scrambles away, getting one of the wrecked cars between herself and Tag.
Still gripping tightly onto the twin handguns, Cilan fires away again, still attempting to get the wolfs attention on her, each shot aiming towards the legs, and this continues until each of the 15 round mags are emptied.
Sorien, under cover for the moment, concentrates to deal with her wounds before she continues.
Taggart flinches slightly as each round slams into his legs, obviously destroying muscle and ligaments as he buckles forward slightly, leaning upon the car between him and Sorien. Almost as quickly as they're shredded, the flesh turns to goo and reknits, solidifying into muscle and then skin and fur once more. It isn't complete, but enough of it has healed for the wolf to use them for leverage, hands slipping down and then upturning the car, sending it flying to the side to reveal Sorien to him.
Sorien immediately does the only thing she can- spins and sprays Tag in the face before he can be ready for it!
Taggart is expecting the skunk to try the same tactic, a hand reaching down to swiftly wrap about the base of her tail, keeping it low while sending the spray harmlessly at the ground beneath her. His fingers clench tight at that tail and he yanks... hard... toward him as his other comes up and tries to latch around the front of her neck.
Sorien deforms and slides away between Tag's legs!
Seeming to still favour her ranged combat, Cilan grips a small cylindrical grenade from her belt and calls out, "HEY WOLF.. FETCH!" before pulling the pin, and lobbing it towards Taggart, the white phosphorus grenade detonating moments after it lands next to the beast.
Taggart doesn't seem to notice the grenade until it goes off. The entire right side of his body is lit in burning chemical, a howl of rage and fury and pain resounding through the echoing parking ramp. An odd thing happens, then, and his body seems to... split down the middle. Almost like a lizard, the burning and damaged half of the wolf sluffs off into a pool of burning goop, as the other pulls itself together and tries to reform. What appears, is obviously mad of mass half the size as Taggart was previously, but a feral, four-legged wolf now stands where Taggart once stood, bounding and leaping across cars to get away from the burning chemical.
Sorien slips back out from concealment and pauses to heal the horribly wounded husky. "Get after him! I'll follow!" She calls as she tends to the victim; hopefully the last victim.
The husky is unconscious, but the nanites begin to do their work, repairing the crunched spine.
Once she's fairly certain the girl will recover, Sori rejoins the chase.
Cilan nods and says, "Right!" as she again charges towards the bounding and leaping wolf, attempting to chase him down, before too much healing has been done, and her efforts becoming useless, should she reach him in time, a powerful metallic fist would be forced into his jaw, putting every ounce of strength behind it.
Taggart bounds down, in, around and through the various cars littering the parking ramp, a good deal of his mass and weight lost, making him lighter and faster. He's slowly making ground on the heavy MSPA behind him, heading up to the third level of the ramp and disappearing from sight.
Sorien follows as soon as she can, once again shifting in motion to what is possibly her fastest form. Aassahke. She remains on all fours, bounding in pursuit and now able to track by scent as well as sight.
Cilan swears under her breath as the wolf remains out of her reach, but still gives every ounce of energy she can to push herself in hopes of catching the wolf.
Sorien catches up to Cilan, and then gains on her slightly as they head up the ramp to the third floor. Open night sky above them, they look about and try to catch sight of the new wolven Taggart, both of them sniffing at the air, as well. Nothing is seen, and sadly, nothing is smelled except for the strong, lingering sex that seems to flood the city.
Sorien casts around for a trail.
Few prints are found, though the occasional wolf pawprint can be seen a bit of packed dirt. They head further into the third floor parking lot, but don't really seem to have a definite pattern and it isn't far in that the trail is lost completely.
Sorien stops and simply listens carefully.
Cilan gives up on the weight that the MSPA brings, and shifts to a form built for speed, and like before, she moves at full gait to catch up to the two, or at least to Sorien.
The sounds of the feral city ring, the panting of a coupled pair of ferals across the street, howls and growls to the north where territory is being redefined, but nothing that might tip off to the location of a wolf-like Taggart.
Sorien looks down at the ground on the side of the ramp; Tag could easily handle the drop, so she looks for evidence that he jumped and ran from there.
There don't appear to be any footprints close to the edge of the ramp, nor is there an impact crater of any sort that usually accompanies a Taggart-drop.
Sorien starts looking towards the inner portions of the ramp once again, tracking.
Cilan peers into each car, wondering if he had ducked into one of them to heal again.
Cilan is caught off guard by a pair of wolven jaws lashing out her face, knocking her backward, but her instincts and training kicks in and she rolls with it to catch sight of the wolf-that-is-Taggart leaping from the back of a car, the reek of sex wafting after him. He'd been masking his own in the sex den of another, apparently. His cover blown, however, the wolf bounds toward the edge of the parking ramp and jumps off.
Sorien spins at the sound of the attack, grabbing a hunk of concrete and lobbing it at Tag's head! She sprints after when the throw is made!
Cilan gets back up from her roll, and looks around for the wolf, noticing the slab of concrete sailing through the air, she rushes off to its destination.
Taggart is knocked to the side, mid-air by the slab of concrete, though, he's already long over the edge of the ramp before it lands. A wounded yelp of a wolf as it collides, and then he disappears over the edge. A few seconds later, the heavy impacting thud and crunch of concrete, followed by another wounded yelp.
Sorien dives off the ramp, shifting again on the fly as her head starts to pound from the strain she's put onto herself; once again a wyvern, she dives at the hopefully-stunned Tag and lances out with hir stinger once again, hoping to paralyze the beast til they can bind him!
Sorien is gonna collapse relatively soon- she's pushing herself to the limits in this. However, hopefully not before they stop Tag.
Just like before, Cilan follows Sorien in going over the edge, and like before, she shifts to her sexy dragoness form, and sails the rest of the way down.
Sorien and Cilan are greeted by customary impact crater, but a small pool of blood sits at the bottom. A short distance away, another, smaller crater and similar blood pool. Apparently, he bounced. Where he bounced from there is hard to tell, though, a sharp decline toward an abandoned hotel is a short few feet away.
Not seeing the wolf again, Sori lands and shifts again; this time, however, she reels and drops to all fours for a moment, disoriented. She shakes her head clear, however, and starts tracking the blood and prints.
The blood and prints lead over the edge of the incline and down toward the hotel before they curve about. With Sorien and Cilan's level of survival knowledge, it is obvious the wolf is limping and severely injured, and the blood doesn't seem to be stemming off as it did before. As they go down the incline, the trail curves about to an almost hidden sewer entrance, through which he's apparently crawled. Any trail at that point, is lost in the muck and smell of the underground.
Sorien picks up a length of pipe, hands shaking a bit as she does, and follows as best she can.
Sorien stops a moment and regains her center.
Sorien looks until it’s obvious that he's finally lost them.
Cilan lands and looks forward, noticing Sorien running off in the distance, she shifts again, morphing into a shape meant for speed, passing Sorien she grips her arm and lifts her onto her horse body, once on, she passes a small hypo to her and says, "Quick, use that.. it'll help.."
Sorien waves off the hypo, but does lean against the centaur, eyes closed. "Dammit."
Sorien shakes her head, rubbing a hand against her forehead and muzzle; she looks exhausted and slightly disoriented, but still capable. "I'm... I'm going home. I don't know what else to do." She starts heading back towards New Ireland, with the knowledge that someone may die for their failure.
Cilan reaches out to Sorien, attempting to grip at her shoulder before she can leave, "Don’t you dare leave me.. I’d rather not take this guy alone, and right now, it’s just you and me.. so.." and with that, she jams the hypo into her neck, and releasing the contents into her system, and continues, ".. quit moping about this, and lets save what’s left of this world!"
Sorien yips, "Cil... He's in the sewers. You can't go in at that size. I can't track him, and I can't... Can't shift again. We've lost him, for now."
Cilan grins and says "Then leave it to me.." shifting again, she calls over her shoulder, "When I figure out where the guy's gone, Ill radio the location.. alright?.. Just don’t give up!"
Cil notices a bit of blood at Sori's nose, and her eyes are extremely bloodshot. She's not all that steady on her feet, even on all fours.
Cilan timidly giggles, "Actually.. get some rest.. call some backup too.. you look like shit!"
Sorien shakes her head slowly, not a refusal, more a 'something isn't right' motion; she staggers off towards New Ireland, looking to be running on autopilot.
Some time later, Sori, on all fours staggers back through the gates of New Ireland; she makes her way to her apartment, but collapses at the doorway.
Using her diminutive size, Cilan flits into one of the sewer openings, giving a wave over her shoulder as she disappears underneath the city, and quickly darts after Taggart, again pushing herself to find a way to Taggart before he can escape. The puny soldier showing little wear and tear, as her body has been trained to undergo rigorous strains.
After Sorien had managed to crawl her way home, Cilan decided that she was going to go into the sewers and tackle the monster Taggart had become on her own. As a one inch fairy, no less. The sewers provide no reliable way of tracking the injured wolf, his scent and blood trail masked by running sewage, and calf-deep water hiding footprints. Water droplets and flows echo off of the cement and brick that make up the sewer tunnels, as well as other more nefarious ones further in, home to all sorts of interesting creatures, as Cilan is aware.
Noticing there is little way to track the beast Cilan curses silently to herself, and looks around, attempting to listen past the running water, and the sewage to figure out any sounds of life within the sewers, anything that Taggart would need to regenerate after the incident with the grenade, and with being thrown over the side of the parking garage.
Ears perk, as much as fairy ears can, and Cilan tries to focus upon the various sounds echoing around in the underground chambers. Water is the prevalent sound, rushing and dripping, trickling and meandering with whatever other unpleasantness is using its current to travel. Cilan can recall the sewers being home to gators and goo girls, with a few Ashen closer to the mall. Perhaps that particular sloshing noise was a gel-creature, but then, maybe it was water, too. Growls resound from various tunnels, echoing and bouncing, making it difficult to determine distance to them, and faintly, moaning and panting of the coupled ferals, unable to keep from rutting in heat, even in the unfriendly and smelly environs the sewers make.
Cilan timidly giggles, "Shit, shit, shit.. can you guys stop fucking for a few seconds so I can find that coward?" is silently said to herself as she just gives up on listening, and wasting time, and picks a direction to dart off to, moving towards one of the more guttural growls, rather than that of a raspy gator, "Please let this be the correct way.."
Cilan starts flitting off down a tunnel, slowly wending her way about, trying to find the source of the growling. Twists and turns of the maze-like sewers can easily confuse most novice agents, but Cilan was trained and more than capable of preventing herself from being turned about. Seconds pass to minutes and then minutes become even more minutes. Almost thinking she can't locate the source, fairy ears prick up at a sudden, excited shriek. "Puppy!"
Cilan blinks at the shriek and with renewed vigour, she darts off to the voice, her face shows that she may fear the worst, that of course, being another possible husky.
Cilan rounds a corner to stumble upon a goo girl, who is smiling and wrapped, quite literally, around the slowly bleeding Taggart. The girl is thoroughly enjoying the comfort of the furry creature, petting and nuzzling against it as if it were her own long lost dog. Taggart, is simply soaking up the attention, tail wagging as he returns the comfort and the almost constricting hug as the gel-flesh wraps around his body.
Cilan comes to a sudden halt, her flitting coming to an abrupt end as she comes to another scene, her face is just blank, as she stares, but still she flits around, attempting to conceal her presence, from the two, waiting for an ideal moment to part the two, and bring the beast down.
The gel creature grins and gives more giggling, as her eyes half lid and she cuddles a bit tighter around the wolf. "Oooo... puppy. I just -love- puppies..." Taggart continues to let her wrap about him, but then starts to panic slightly as the goo girl starts to creep up and down, starting to envelop him completely. The wolf thrashes and wiggles about as the girl's head sits raised, watching the entrapped creature inside of her body. "They're just so very tasty!"
Noticing the new danger for Taggart, Cilan shifts again, the heavy form making a large splash as she lands hopefully gaining the goo-girl’s attention, and if that doesn’t, the fact that she pulls her handguns again, and calls out, "Hey.. bitch, OVER HERE!" most likely would.
The goo girl turns her head and looks to Cilan as she calls out, a pouty frown curving over purplish lips. "What do you want? You're interrupting my fun!" Gel body wiggles slightly and moves to the side, the wolf creature floating around inside and pulled along with as she turns her attention to the handgun wielding Aassahke. Cilan can see, however, that Taggart's fur is beginning to dissolve, revealing patches of skin beneath.
Cilan grips the handguns and moves into a threatening motion, her firm gaze as she growls out, "Let. Him. Go!" finished she fires off a single round, just barely grazing the goo girl’s cheek.
Cilan yips, "The next one WONT miss!"
The goo girl gasps as her cheek is torn open, only to slowly start filling in with her gel-flesh. A purple tongue sticks out and the head disappears, melding into the ball of glop encasing the wolf. Only a mouth forms to speak, "But he's so delicious! Kind of spicy! And... hmmm... wait.... ouch! What was..." A bit of Taggart's blood starts to seep into the goo girl's form as skin dissolves... to an explosive reaction. The blood turns black, along with the chunk of goo flesh around it. And then Taggart turns into a black mass of a similar material, spiking out in random directions, piercing through her body and then quickly surrounding it to do to her what she had just done to him. The reaction is viewed in slow motion, but happens in a half second, energy and action, Taggart consuming the gel girl completely as the black mass reforms and solidifies into a slightly larger wolf. At the end of it all, he sits back upon his haunches and raises a paw, licking it a few times before doing the same to his muzzle, head tilting curiously to one side as crimson eyes lock on Cilan.
With that changing, her face suddenly shifts from one of firm anger to that of fear, and doubt, shaking her head soon after, she again returns to her old fashioned tactic of, trying to keep distance between her and the wolf, and firing off rounds into Taggart’s body, the 15, and 14 rounds all aim for Taggart’s chest, and abdomen, all the while swears can be heard, just the word, 'Shit' being repeated over and over again.
Taggart blinks a few times at Cilan's reaction, taking a slug into his front left chest before he rolls to the side. The wolf gives a pained bark, scrambling and scrapping against wet concrete as he tries to dodge more bullets, and doing so remarkably well. The food has rejuvenated him, to a degree, at least repairing most of the damage and providing much needed energy for bullet-time-style-wolf-jumps. Less than half of the fired rounds find target in his body, and those that do either fire clear through, leaving gaping wounds, or are slowly pushed from quickly healing flesh. Taggart growls at Cilan and turns to bound down another tunnel.
Cilan blinks at Taggart’s reaction, namely his fleeing, and unwillingness to fight back, but shakes off those thoughts, and concentrates on following the beast, shifting again to the centauress, and charging off to chase him down.
Taggart bounds and runs down the tunnels, the hooves of the centauress behind him clopping against the cement and echoing loudly. Attention was sure to be drawn. Taggart leads Cilan through a winding path. Cilan has a small advantage in speed, but Taggart's is in size and dexterity. When she starts to get too close, he makes a hard turn, causing her to avoid slipping her hooves on the slick cement and go bowling into the water to follow. Cilan's impressive survival skill will tell her that he appears to be leading her in a large, if slightly twisted-in-some-places, circle.
Cilan, seeing her weakness in the lack of traction, shifts again, still making sure to give him the chase of a lifetime, the soldier seeming to give everything she has, but obviously showing slight wear and tear from her continuous shifting, and the constant running, after the shift ends, she jabs her neck with a hypo and resumes running off after him.
Taggart gains just a bit as Cilan shifts and fumbles for the hypo, disappearing around a corner for a half minute before she can catch up. He's still in sight as she rounds the corner, and in fact, closer than she might expect, his head turned to one side to make sure she was still following.
Cilan looks blankly at Taggart’s actions, but, shakes it off, her mind showing little wish to actually think, as most of what's keeping her on her feet is the adrenaline, and the overwhelming urge to drop Taggart.
Taggart bounds ahead, coming to a T-intersection before he bounds over the water and then heads down the left tunnel. He slows, however, and turns a circle, bringing his crimson eyes to Cilan to watch her. It's a curious look, head tilting to one side, but even in her adrenaline pumping mind she can feel the warning in it.
Cilan slowly comes to a stop, and stands still, her gaze meeting Taggart’s as she pants heavily, the handguns again being re-holstered as she waits to see what the beast is going to do, whether it runs again, or it attacks in her moment of weakness.
As Cilan goes to leap over the water, it explodes with action as multiple gators launch themselves into the air to try to nab her. Out of the corner of her eye, she can see them springing at Taggart as well, but the wolf turns and takes off down the tunnel once more, leading a handful upon another merry chase. In the meantime, Cilan is beset upon by three of the ferocious creatures herself.
Cilan groans, as she dodges away from the gator's snapping jaws, "God damn it.. not the best time.. you fuckers.." is panted out as she turns her back to them and runs, along the way, she drops an incendiary grenade and hopes that it either catches the gators while they pass by it, or creates a wall of fire that would buy the soldier more time.
Growls and shrieks of pain are heard behind her as the grenade erupts, followed by multiple splashes. She tries to find where Taggart has sped off to after the distraction, but only catches sight of a running gator. In the corner of her eye, multiple waves in the water denote more beasts heading toward her and after the running gator. Apparently, they've been waiting for a bit.
Cilan continues her panting, and muttered swears as she runs off, using every available attempt to gain on the fleeing wolf, and at the same time, keep a watchful eye open for any possible gator attacks, making sure she's not killed, or raped in this chase.
Cilan has drastically fallen behind the fleeing wolf, but she can hear the growling of the gators down the tunnels and uses that to try to find him. She swears she keeps seeing more disturbed water, the head of a gator in the murky water, but nothing strikes. The growling starts to grow louder and louder, mixed with deep wolven bellowing before she turns the corner to find Taggart beset by four gators. Well, used to be beset by that many, at least. He's larger and returned to manwolf form, claws swiping and teeth ragged with scales and gator flesh as he tears open the belly of another reptile. Two already lay at his feet, in various states of mangled and dead as the third falls on one of the former, clutching its belly. The large creature turns on the fourth, growling and rumbling, and nothing but pure fear overtakes his target, the gator quickly diving into the water and swimming down the tunnel and past Cilan. The former Irishman turns slowly and straightens up, watching the aassahke quietly with those crimson eyes once more, this time, not so curious or friendly, though he doesn't move towards her.
Knowing he'd not fall for the same trick with the grenade again, and figuring he'd be too fast and attack her while she attempted to set the rifle up, Cilan stands still, pulling a knife out of a sheath positioned width wise with her back hip, as she looks firmly down to the giant wolf, remaining quite silent, aside from the panting.
Taggart watches Cilan pull the knife from behind her back, an almost amused snort blasting flecks of blood from his nostrils as he blinks eyes coloured the same. He rolls his fingers a few times, each finger tipped in a claw half as large as the knife, but just as sharp and wicked. The Irishman locks his eyes with hers and stares, she can almost hear him, but his mouth doesn't move, nor does anything invade her mind. It is simply there. "This will not end well for you."
Cilan yips, "I’ve.. got no.. other choice.. I can’t.. let you hurt the innocents in your.. rampage.. I just.. WONT!"
Taggart blinks, as if unable to understand the words, or unsure to what she's responding to. His eyes glance around a bit, then back to Cilan before his muzzle upturns into a warning growl, his hackles raising and shoulders hunching slightly.
Cilan pulls into a readied position, her knife held out as she remains ready for any attack, hoping that with her current strength she can counter anything the beast could throw at her.
Cilan ends her panting, and watches as her skin again, shifts, fur falling out, and becoming metallic as she decides to attempt to shift again through the weariness, and still remain quite alive, "I.. don’t want to do this Taggart.. but.. I’ll be damned.. if I don’t.. try.." finished shifting, she becomes a full MSPA once more, the metallic skin seeming to take quite a few bites before it breaks through.
Cilan shudders as she finishes her shift, dizziness swarming her and blackout threatening her field of vision. Taggart seems to notice and loses his threatening stance, sniffing at the air a few times before he takes a step or two closer. The MSPA shivers and falls to a knee, then rolls over onto her side as the rapid shifting finally takes its toll on her mind and body, darkness overcoming her vision slowly. The last thing she can see, hear, and feel, is that of the large wolven creature padding over and sniffing along her body, then poking intimately into her crotch.
Cilan feels the poking, and immediately awakens with a start, and before she can think, she forces a fist into Taggart’s jaw, putting every single ounce of strength behind the metallic fist.
Taggart blinks as his head is turned aside from the massive fist slamming against it, his jaw cracking and unhinging slightly. Obviously in a small amount of shock, the wolf blinks dumbly once more and then starts to growl, a low and deep rumble as his hand slips up and slides the jaw back into place with a loud and sickening crunch. Head turns and slowly raises, now-working jaw opening and snapping forward in an attempt to latch about the front of Cilan's neck while she's still lying on the ground, attempting to finish her off quickly.**
Apostasy, warned by Sorien and REDACTED of a rampant Tag and Cil off ready to get herself killed in the sewers has found the location of the entrance to the sewer a short time before the gator attack. The clear sound of explosions and gunfire direct her toward them.
Havingtrailed first the sounds of Taggart and Cilan, and then the evidence of their passage in the form of shell casings, scorched ground from an incendiary grenade, and dead gators, Apo comes upon the scene just as Cilan punches Taggart in the face. She roars and attempts to bite down on the back of his neck, to hurl him bodily away from Cilan, before taking Cil up with one arm and quickly heading for the exit again. "Fuck this, sis. I'm not letting you get yourself killed, no matter how badly you want it."
Cilan stares over to Apostasy as she is hefted up, "Ungh.. I.. I can’t.." though she doesn’t seem to fight, and even if she wanted to, she'd not be in the position to do so.
Apostasy growls, "I'm not giving you a say in this, Cil."
Taggart dodges the punch but is still struck on the shoulder, and Apostasy attempts to bite down but Tag has shifted, however the surprise throws the wolf off and he stumbles away from Cil. He growls menacingly at Apostasy as she grabs Cilan, but he makes no attempt to follow.***
Cilan's arguing comes to a halt as the rush that had her awaken in the first place soon comes to an end, and her body again succumbs to the weariness, leaving Taggart behind.
With Cilan passed out and in no position to argue further, Apo makes her way out of the sewers and back to New Ireland.
