Several armed and armored Zephyr agents stand in front of a rundown apartment building. The neighborhood around said building isn't in the best shape either. The agents appear to be equipped like a SWAT team; carbine rifles and body armor. One stands off from the rest, a broad shouldered non-mutant watching for arrivals. Cigar in his mouth, the man stares over the menagerie of agents he seems to be presiding over.

Menil heads in covered in heavy armor, as he usually does outside the secure areas of Zephyr and the other factions. He fiddles with the straps a little bit as he walks up to the other Zephyr agents, not a weapon seen on him, just a somewhat dingy looking backpack on his back. Glancing over the group, his attention focuses on the broad shouldered man to the side, heading over to him as he seems to be the one in charge.

It had been a while since Edel had anything fancy to do, or had taken a job from Zephyr. Deciding on a whim that today would be a fun day for doing such, she decides to make her way there. Wearing the form of a white-furred wolf today, the woman approaches the official-looking bloke at a fairly relaxed pace, the slinky black dress she was wearing swaying around her knees as she went. "Hellooo! Is this the place?" She asks, resting her arm on the pommel of her sword.

She hated being on loan, even more so to Zephyr of all people. Why did RSX keep throwing her out to the dogs. Maybe because she was a dog... in either case Sasha flutters her way over and down, folding her pink butterfly wings behind her. She was thankful for a few things that Z was able to pull off, her business suit not only covering her up, but making impossible to tell what she had under it. It really was a marvel. Strapped to her side, her laser pistol, and everywhere she walked a felling of impending doom followed. Once she's landed, she looks casually to the Zephyr agents, "So, what exactly are we doing here?"

Benjamin looks at the group from across the street, still considering if he should risk working with Zephyr. The catboi wore a heave concrete grey cloak that looked like it was meant to keep him warm in rainy conditions, while under that he wore a thick lether vest with a silk skirt keeping what little modesty he cared to keep. On his back is a pack that was made up of lots of batteries strapped together and wired into the gatling lazer that was hooked to the side of the pack. With a sigh he walks up to the group and listens in, not speaking up unless directly addressed.

Fenris saunters easily down the street, a small, contented smile on his tanuki face. He waddles to a stop next to the gathered agents. "Hi!" he says affably, "Anything I can help with?" He has no love for Zephyr, but he didn't mind being helpful.

The man in charge takes the cigar from his mouth, looking over the volunteers who answered his call. "Thanks for the help. We're here to grab some asshole who thinks it's funny to shoot random people on the street. Zephyr, RSX, Prometheans... Far as we can tell he isn't feral. Just likes hurting people, apparently. These guys..." The man gestures to the team behind him. "...Are too scared to run in there and get him." One of the other agents calls out to him: "They don't pay me enough to get shot, Dick." Prompting a scowl from the leader. "See? Undisciplined assholes. Moving on... We know he's on the fourth floor on the east side." "West side." "Right, er, west side. Don't know which room."

Menil quirks a brow when he mentions the other agent being too scared. He glances over at the other assembled agents, then back at the non-mutant with the cigar. "So... just run in and grab him, that's it? Ah. Do you know what sort of gun he's using, or caliber or power of it? Curious how well it would penetrate armor," he asks, tapping one of the ballistic plates on the suit he's wearing.

Edel wasn't wearing any armour of her own! Or at least didn't appear to be. Who knew what kind of nanite shenanigans were going on with her, but at least the lady looked stylish. "Hmm... Fourth floor, west side. Seems straight forward enough. We just waltz in there, grab him, and bring him out?" She glances over the building, looking for any windows that might provide a sneaky entrance.

Sasha shakes her head a bit, she couldn't believe this. Looking over to Edel primarily, leaning over to whisper to her fellow canine. Wings unfold behind her a moment, shivering a bit before she folds them back up. "So, just some ass hat with a gun, not sure why you all are so afraid of bullets of all things, but whatever." She says, walking up to the front entrance, examining it a moment to see just how structually unsound this building is.

The catboi growls under his breath, suddenly glad that he decided to join in on this mission. Benji lets out a sigh as he looks over the ones who had refused to go in, angry yet sympathetic with them as he knew all too well how painful getting shot up was. The cat reaches around himself and unhooks the gatling lazor from the power pack and hefts it with both hands. Remaining silent, Benji waited to hear what kind of firepower they were going up against, that kind of infor was important.

"Sure! Sure!" Fenris says, the affable smile never leaving his face, "No worries! We'll have him out here for you in no time!" The tubby tanuki tips his bamboo hat onto his head and unsheathes his sword from his back, its leaf token jangling against the hilt. Then, with a genial nod and a flourish of his long coat he trots gamely to the front door of the building. "Fourth floor!" he calls back, "West side!" Not the least bit interested in the specs, Fenris is prepared to just wing it!

"Yes, yes, we all know bullets are rarely fatal now. They still hurt. Being hurt is unpleasant." The man takes another drag from his cigar. "Just get in, grab him, get out. Don't care much what kind of shape he's in really. Breathing, broken, headless... Don't care." He speaks to the group as a whole, not focusing on anyone in particular. "As for what kind of gun, a shotgun of some kind. And in a small environment like an apartment; just don't get your heads blown off and you'll be fine. We have a sniper watching the windows, but the bastards' got curtains up."

Menil looks over on the building, before glancing around. "Right. East side of the building then," he notes, with a nod. "Thanks for your help," he says to the man, neglecting to specifically point out his mistake. He ponders briefly, before focusing on the nanites in him, shifting suddenly to a quadrupedal draconic form. Thankfully the armor and backpack on him seems to adjust quite easily to the change in shape and size. He looks over at the others, asking, "So any of you have specific ideas, or just go in?"

Edel flashes a little grin to Sasha and nods. "Right? Ah well. Time to show them how it's done, then, I guess." With a flick of her thumb, she disengages the safety on the scabbard of her sword and starts shuffling towards the building, gesturing up to a window. "I say we take advantage of those open windows and use them. Perhaps look for a roof access?" She asks, fanning her wings a little. "All kinds of ways to approach this."

Sasha sighs a moment, afraid of getting hurt. Well. She unfolds her wings and flutters up to a window, looking in before going inside. She crouches down, listening. She is on the east side of course, but this would make for an easy approch from the inside. Should others wish to follow or come from a different way, she doesn't much care. Coming from more than one way could have advantages.

Benjamin growls softly, suddenly feeling unpleasently paranoid about the situation. 'How was this guy shooting people with a shotgun from an appartment?' He thought as he looked up at the building. Things were not matching up with what the man with the cigar man was saying and the more Benji thought about the more his paranoia grew. The cat sends a distrustful gaze towards the leader as he followed the others into the building.

Fenris enters the building through the front door, keeping at an easy trot despite his, well, comfortable physique. Must be a tanuki thing. After his brief look at the outside of the building, he turns his path to the EAST seeing as there was nowhere on the West side of the building for a gunman to hide from a sniper. Really? Not knowing East from West? Some people. The tubby tanuki keeps his eyes open and his sword handy as he looks for the stairs. No reason to fall prey to a trap just because he wanted to move fast! Strangely, the big coondog starts to hum a little tune to himself as he trots along.

The cigar smoking man clarifies to the catboi: "He doesn't shoot from the apartment. Runs up on people in the street." He turns towards those who already headed to the building, says: "Good luck."

Sasha managed to get into one of the rooms on the correct side of the building; passing straight through a curtain as every window on that side was curtained. The room she entered appears to be a kitchen; food left out on a small table, surprisingly clean, given the surrounding environment.

Those who enter the lobby are greeted with a staircase immediately to the right, several doors along the left wall. The building has refuse strewn about, seems mostly abandoned.

The building, judging by how high the fourth floor was, appears to have seven floors.

Menil would facepalm, if not for a draconic snout being terribly illsuited for such. "Right then." She glances at Edel and Benjamin. "Ah... you with the wings come with me to the roof and we can enter from the west side," she jabs a finger at Edel, "And the feline can catch up to those entering from the ground?" She flexes her wings, flapping them testingly once, before taking a running start from the ground and slowly climbing on the west side up towards the roof of the building.

Edel gives a hand wiggle at Menil and smiles. "Sort of like that! You take the roof, I'll take the fourth floor. We can regroup, and potentially catch him in the middle of us all," she says fanning her wings again to launch herself up towards one of the open, curtain-less windows on the west side of the building.

Sasha slinks along a bit, heading toward the door out of the kitchen. She looks about, making sure no one is here with her before progressing on, looking for the way into the fourth floor hallway. She pulls out her laser pistol, one finger on the safety, one on the trigger as she gets ready.

Benjamin doubles his pace to catch up with the group coming from the ground floor, then once out of earshot of those outside voices his concerns. "I think that those men are hiding something, too many inconsistancies in his story. We should watch our backs." He says as he takes up the rear position as they begin the acent up the stairs.

Fenris jogs gamely up the stairs. Sure they were likely to be trapped, but that meant that the trap would not be a surprise. It was the surprising traps that were most unpleasant. "Oh," the tanuki says at Benjamin's observation, "that is quite an accustation! And probably true!" No love lost between Fenris and Zephyr.

The pair making their way up the stairs encounter no difficulty all the way to the third floor. Same amount of disrepair as the lower floors, same number of apartments on each floor. That is, two on eache side of the floor.

Edel ends up in a bare, mostly empty bedroom as she enters the window. Broken glass on the floor, door open leading to another bare room.

Menil makes it to the roof with no trouble; a door likely leading to a staircase is the only thing on the roof worth mentioning.

The room Sasha is in seems like it has been lived in recently, food left out similarly to the kitchen. Worth noting are the shotgun shells lying on the floor.

Menil swiftly opens the door, then squeezes in through the doorframe with some trouble. She frowns a bit, not quite expecting so much trouble, although she doesn't have much experience in the form... hmmm. She remembers most mutations heightened sense of smell, and proceeds on down the staircase, trying to smell a recent scent of someone passing through that might be the guy they're looking for.

Edel slips into the windows without much difficulty, given her size. A frown comes to her face as her paws crunch down on the class, though. It wasn't particularly painful on the tough pads, but it wasn't very stealth, either! She narrows her eyes and drops into a ready stance, as if expecting something to jump out of her. When nothing does, though, she relaxes a little, but keeps her hand hovering near the hilt of her blade, ready for a quick draw as she sweeps the room briefly with her eyes before moving towards the door.

Sasha looks about, not entirely liking what she was seeing. Seems this room was recently used, and quite a bit. She thinks about it, using the comms might not be a good idea, faction comms would be best. Though she wasn't sure if there was another RSXer there with her. Looking around, she decides to look around the corner into the hallway.

Benjamin is glad that none of the traps they pass are set off, they would be useful if the men outside decide to follow them in. As the two go up the stairs, the catboi decides to ask a question he had promised himself to ask if he ever met a Tanuki. "Hey, is it true that Tanuki can change the size of their testicals at will?" The cat turns to cover Fenris once they reached the fourth floor. "We should check all the rooms together, cautiously..."

"Tripwire!" Fenris whispers, that little smile never leaving his face, "Best to keep it down from here on out." The tanuki carefully steps over the wire and begins to pad carefully down the hall. It would be awful nice to have the element of surprise on their side. He turns to grin at Benjamin, indicating his own featureless groin. "Absolutely true," he says quietly before pressing a fuzzy ear against a door.

Menil arrives at another doorway, the bottom of the access staircase seems to have been used for janitor supplies; a mop, wet floor sign, cleaning products.

Edel stands in a bare living room, all of the furniture seems to have been moved out at some point before now. Only two doors from here, the kitchen off to her right is left open to the living room.

Looking around the wall into the hallway, if it can actually be called that, Sasha is met with the sight of a hole in the wall, leading into the next apartment over. A curtain is draped between the two rooms, obscuring her vision. There is obviously someone standing on the other side of it, walking towards her.

The fourth floor is cleaner than previous floors, which is why the tripwire and noisemaker was so obvious.

Menil peers at the janitor supplies. Odd. She makes her way to the fourth floor, then, where she smelled... something other than the people she came in with. That seems to be the man everyone is after, of course! Hallways are, thankfully, wider than doorways, and not too troublesome to traverse on four legs.

Edel lofts a brow behind her glasses, taking in the lack of furniture before deciding that nothing really awaited her in this particular room. Keeping near the way, she scoots along til she can take a peek into the apartment room's kitchen, hoping, but not expecting, to find someone hiding away in there.

Benjamin covers Fenris as he listens to the door, making sweeping motions from one unattended door to the next, the gatling lazer whirring softly as he keeps the berrals spinning in case he needed to shoot.

Sasha pushes herself up against the wall near the curtain as she can, holding her laser pistol beside her head. She hoped whomever was there was either friendly or could be reasoned with, but in either case was ready to fire at whomever if she needed to. Staying as quiet and still as she can, she waits for them to make the first move.

Fenris nods silently and points at the door. The guy HAD to be expecting an attack! There was a whole troop of Zephyr agents just standing in front of the building after all. Then again, he might not be all that savvy if the best he could do for an alarm system was a simple and fairly obvious tin can trap. The tubby tanuki reaches out a hand to carefully try the door.

The man behind the curtain steps through it, the shotgun in his hand quite being loaded. His body is mostly human, not counting the lupine head and tail. Nude from the waist up, he is furless. Catching sight of Sasha, he jumps, visibly surprised by her presence. He squeezes off a shot in his panic.

Edel sees noone in the kitchen, just a counter, sink, stove... the usual kitchen stuff.

As Fenris reaches for the doorknob, he would find it to be locked.

Menil meets up with Ben and Fenris in the fourth floor hallway, then, presumably. "Locked?" she asks the two. Then winces as he hears the shot. "Okay! Quick entry time!" She tries to scoot past the two, then pushing forward and smacking her shoulder into the door, attempting to simply shatter the door with her strength and get through to the center of the room on the other side. She's not as much concerned about defenses, and being a giant target to shoot at instead of other people is quite helpful.

The door stands firm against the dragon. As Menil slams into it, little happens aside from it causing a very visible dent.

When Edel hears the gunshot, she stops her pondering of the empty kitchen and darts off to make her way into the hall, ears perked. A brief moment is spent glancing around before she darts off towards the source, hoping everything was still alright.

Sasha gives a slight yip when the shotgun goes of, jumping off to the side and bringing her laser pistol level with the guy, noticing he seems only partly changed. Maybe this was the start of his first mutation, "Calm down now guy, and put the weapon down. We can have a nice chat and make sure everything's good and fine. Here to help, have you been innoculated? No sudden movements though, or I'll shoot." She says. Thinking a bit more, "Where have you been? Where did you come from?" She asks.

Fenris jumps back from the door at the sound of the shotgun blast, making way for the dragon to throw herself agains the surprisingly sturdy door. "Ready for Tanuki 101?" the pudgy coondog asks with a grin, "Don't blink now!" The tanuki puts his hand to his bare groin and suddenly a gargantuan pair of furry, well, ahem, you know, billow out from between Fenris's thick legs. He frowns in concentration as with a HEAVE he smashes his titanic testes into the door! That's balls of steel, that is!

Benjamin grunts as he is roughly pushed aside, his finger slipping off the button on his gun and the barrels slow to a stop. "Gods damn it!" He growls softly as he looks as the dragon fails to knock down the door, he chuckles at her failure. But the shot was worrying though so his mirth was short lived. Then Fen's balls suddenly swelled and he swung those wrecking balls at the door.

The shotgun wielding man growls, kind of. Still mostly human in form. "You're with those agents, aren't you?" Doesn't seem too interested in her answer or questions as he pumps the shotgun and levels it at Sasha again. Doesn't fire though, as the door behind him collapses inward by the force of tanuki balls! He turns the shotgun on them and fires!

Edel manages to make it out of the apartment she was in just in time to see Fenris slam his scrote against the door.

Sasha looks at the man as he prepares to shoot at the door being busted in! Well, a single laser shot wouldn't do too much, but still beter to make as sure as one could to hit a shoulder. Used to this as one may be used to using a fork, safety flicked, trigger pulled.

The wolf is hit in the shoulder by Sasha's laser! It throws off his aim, but doesn't prevent the shot!

Benjamin growls and pulls the trigger, but the gun needs to start spinning before it can start firing of a barrage of lazers at the shotgun toting wolfman

Menil ooofs as she bounces off the door, rubbing her head. Ow. She quirks a brow as Fenrir suddenly grows a massive ballsack and busts down the door. She glances into the room just in time to see the person swivel around and shoot through the door. She just takes the shot, scales deflecting most of the brunt of the shot but scraping off a few scales, and a little blood. She grunts to the sudden pain, before suddenly growling at the man, and pouncing ruthlessly at the man in a shotgun. Her jaws try to snap at the man, attempting to grab onto a limb and ruthlessly jerk to the side. Kind of cruel and animalistic, yes, but she did just get shot, and it is an effective way to incapacitate someone.

Edel arrives in time to see Fenris breaking the door down! Neat. She folds her arms and slinks into the room once the way is clear and sets her eyes on the scene unfolding before her. Everyone was already making a lunge and a shot at the guy, so rather than add to the confusion and jump in, herself, she opts to hang back and watch to see if her assistance is needed.

Benjamin growls and pulls the trigger, but the gun needs to start spinning before it can start firing of a barrage of lazers at the shotgun toting wolfman. He steps into the room, gatling lazor leveled at the man as he waits for the barrels to get up to speed.

Their job done, Fenris's tanuki assets instantly dwindle and recede to their hiding place within his body. The tanuki uses the spent momentum of his attack to fling himself forward into the room, tucking into a little ball and rolling adroitly away from the door. He quickly springs back to his feet and raises his sword, ready to defend himself if necessary.

Menils charge is met with the wolf pumping the shotgun again, though when the dragons jaws catch on his arm, her teeth tear a bit of muscle from the interior section of the forearm. He drops his shotgun, tears his arm away and falls back against the wall. Defiant expression on his face, tempered with pain. He glares at the 'intruders', makes a lunge towards his shtogun!

Menil lands on her feet, not quite tackling the man to the ground, but managing to catch her teeth on his skin, at least. She quickly turns, acting on instinct for the moment, taking a deep breath as she does so. A large gout of flame is released between the man and the shotgun as he lunges for it, sweeping it along the floor slowly for about a second. She closes her mouth soon after, smoke billowing from the sides of her mouth and nostrils.

Edel furrows her brow as the man makes a lunge for his shotgun. A soft sigh escapes the wolf's muzzle, and she's about to step forward until Menil starts to breath fire all over the place. She wasn't going to walk into -that-, oh no. Instead, a deft tentacles slips out from under the hem of her dress and snakes along the floor, swiftly trying to pull the shotgun back towards her.

While Edel wasn't going to walk into that, Sasha had no problems doing so, trying to dive her way between the flames and the almost human, shouting at him, "You think it is smart to fight all of us in this little area? Wise up! I'm trying to help you, so shut up, stop trying to shoot me, and listen!" She says, burned or not looking over to Menil, "And you! You honestly think the first and best option is to burn things alive?"

Benjamin he growls as he watches Sasha jump on the man, pulling his finger off the trigger but holds his thumb on the button that keeps the berrals spinning and keeps it aimed at the target and watches carefully. Something didn't feel right here and he turns to glance out the door to watch for the Zephyr guys, suspecting they were going to storm the place at the sound of shots inside.

Fenris returns his sword to the sheath strapped across his back. It looks like his swordsmanship will not be needed here today. "Why the itchy trigger finger, friend?" he asks pleasantly, taking a seat next to the door, "Sorry about the door." That little contented smile is back. Maybe he knows something others don't. Or maybe his face is just stuck like that.

The wolfman remains as defiant as before, holding the slightly detatched muscle to his arm. Sasha diving in front of him confuses the mutant; he remains sitting against the wall, bleeding. No words as he glares between everyone, though he shoots a glance at the fire.

The flames from Menils maw catch on the carpeted floor, burning it. No sprinklers activate, nor is there any fire alarm. The fire just starts to spread slowly."

Outside, the team of agents are busy smoking, drinking and otherwise goofing off. Hell, three of them have started to play poker. The cigar smoking leader looks up at the fourth floor; still on the wrong side of the building. Over his comm unit, he speaks: "Get him yet?"

Menil growls at Sasha as she dives in the way, barring her teeth and looking quite angry at her. Then pauses a bit as she blinks a couple of times, then looks down at the fire. "Oh. Uhm. Didn't think about flammability at the moment. Uh." She shifts forms quite quickly, shifting bipedal and with darker coloration, into a Shadow Dragon. Then breathes a shadowy breath onto the fire, and follows up by trying to snuff out embers with a few beats of her new wings.

Edel closes her eyes and heaves a sigh as the room starts to go up in flames. She doesn't stick around to see how that plays out! They had the man by now, it seems, so she quickly ducks out of the room and starts to make tracks for the door.

Sasha blinks a moment, well, this went from bad to stupid real fast. Try to grab the man, and get the heck out, back through the window, wings unfolded and fly back down, with or without him, a quick, "You want help, let's go, you aren't going to be able to live her alone for long and even less so now." She says. Well, she tried. She wasn't going to wait if he still wanted to argue with her.

Benjamin growls at Menil and steps out out of the room and runs ahead of Edel to lead the way down. "Watch for the tripwires on the way down." He says as they start to decend the stairs, pointing out the noisemaker traps. As they come outside he yells at the Zephyr agents, "Evauate the area, the place is going up in flames!"

"Now, we can't have that!" Fenris says serenely, sauntering over to the small carpet fire, waving off the flapping shadow dragon. The tanuki stands before the flame and takes a deep breath before his scrotum inflates massively and bounces vigorously on the sputtering flames. "No need to panic!" he says.

The formerly shotgun toting lunatic nods at Sasha, but doesn't say anything. Still looking a bit pissed, he lets her drag him out the window; before the pair makes their way safely to the ground. The sniper goes speaks over his comm unit to the agents: "They've got him. East side of the building." Cigar man responds: "I thought he was on the west side?" "He was -never- on the west side!"

Menils efforts dropped the fire, the shadow breath chilling it sufficiently. But, the air from the buffeting wings reignited it. Fenris' balls, well, they snuff out the flame but do burn a bit. Probably not a good sensation, but no real damage.

Edel and Benjamin are greeted with blank stares mostly, the agents less than concerned by the potentially burning building. "Been a while since I've watched anything burn." Says one, another adds: "It's not our job."

Menil blinks, staring at the fire a bit. "Oh. Uhm. Right. Candles yes, embers no. ...that sort of stuff usually don't come up much with electronics." Shadow breath seemed to help at least, which was good. She hops out of the window, now that she's smaller and able to do so, gliding with her wings back down to the gathered agents. Then with a slight bit of focus, she shifts back to human, taking a few deep breaths and obviously tired, and calming down after the adrenaline rush. Menil is ignoring the small flesh wound on the side of his face for now, nanites quickly taking care of the small injury.

Edel flips the shotgun around in her grip, looking over it as she hums. "You lot a bunch of rookies or something?" She asks, looking up to the agents waiting outside. "You really could've handled that better, you know. I don't want to come out of retirement to be seeing things like this! I do hope you shape up," she chides, wagging a finger.

Sasha, with the man in her arms flies down and sets him down, "I never got your name, Sasha Arnsworth is mine." She says, looking at the 'agents'. "You can go with them and potentally live a life of mutated debotchery, or come with me and I'll show you some people who actually want to help you." She says, eyeing the Zephyr agents. "Sorry about having to shoot you, but that should already be feeling better."

Benjamin eyes the Zephyr agents suspicioustly while keeping the gatling lazer spinning, but looks up at Sasha and wonders why she has not yet landed yet. Growling up at her, the catboi yells out to her. "HEY! Get down here now!" He demands as loud as he can so she can hear him.

Fenris smiles gently as his assets dwindle and vanish again. "There!" he says, "No trouble at all!" The tanuki then turns to trot down the stairs and out the front door.

The wolf glances between the agents, several of them, including their leader already approaching, while most of them continue to slack off, and at Sasha. Not seeing any good options, and noting the guns trained on him, just kneels and waits. A sidelong glance to Sasha: "My name. It doesn't matter. But... you shot me. You're next on my list..." He sniffs at her, scowling.

Most of the agents laugh off Edels' comments. Though one stands and salutes her. The saluting woman speaks: "Sorry about them. We're not all slackers." No comment on that she didn't help either before she backs away.

The agents near Sasha and the half wolf move in to take him. "I think you missed something, Sasha. He's been shooting people seemingly at random. Don't want him walking around." Another adds: "Probably just lock him up for a bit." Being rookie slackers, neither of them seem like they would know exactly what would be done with him.

Menil rubs his cheek a little gingerly, hmming. The wound, by now, is almost completely gone, due to the amazingness of nanites. He hmmphs a bit reflexively as he hears Sasha. "Hey, mutated debauchery?" he asks, a little bit offended. He points to himself, saying, "I still stay human most of the time, and spend most all of time doing useful not sex things!"

Edel gives an appraising look over the woman that had saluted before proffering the shotgun to her handle-first. "Good! You're supposed to be fancy agents of Zephyr and all that, aren't you? Getting showed up by a former agent won't look good on your track record, you know? You and your buddies shouldn't be so afraid! Do it right, and none of you will get hurt." She folds her arms and steps back, fanning her wings out again as she looks up towards the sky, preparing to take flight once all is done.

Sasha waves a hand around, fluttering her wings, "Sure sure, you lot were so successful in talking this poor man down. He is only partly mutated! Odds are he's just getting 'turned' for the first time. And you all want to just lock him up? Do you even know what it's like not being born mutated and not having an innoculation? Naw, unless you really want to fight for him, just to lock him up, if he agrees, I'll be taking him on the first flight to Woodfield before he is transformed any more than he already is." She says, looking over to him, "Well, what would you like?" She asks the human, as she is threatened, "Look, just trying to help you out, and while you're sniffing, want to check under my tail too? Ease enough to get your scent just standing here." She says.

Benjamin growls angrily, having put up with enough with these inept Zephyr assholes and Sasha's RHX affiliations was not helping her in Benji's eyes. He lifts the gatling lazer and aims it at the group approaching Sasha and the man, not even taling care not to hit Sasha or the man as he pulls the trigger and unleashes a rain of lazers at them.

Fenris's smile never wavers as he comes trotting out of the not-burning-building. Nor does his gait waver as he continues to jog past the Zephyr agents and the bizarrely maddened Benjamin toward the shrine that he had come to call home. "I'm running West!" he shouts over his shoulder as his bamboo hat and his sword bounce against his back. Too bad about the wolf fellow, but if these slobs were any measure, the shooter would doubtless be back on the streets faster than. . . well, old analogies did not really apply so well anymore. But fast. And the tanuki had no intention of getting tangled up with Zephyr again.

The agents back up a bit, lowering their weapons. The leader rubs his chin, takes the cigar from his mouth. "Fine. Just get him out of he-." As Benjamin opens fire, his torrent of lazers spreading across the group, several shots manage to hit the agents. None anywhere that is going to do any real damage; they're armored pretty well. As a squad, they open fire on him. Their rifles all bark loud into the night; and while not every shot hits, several do. Including the single shot fired by the sniper. The catbois armor does little to protect him, and with the large number of bullets... He's likely to be unconscious.

The woman Edel was conversing with takes the shotgun, frowning at the firefight. "...Dammit."

Menil starts to reply to Sasha.... before laser shots suddenly fly around him. He whirls to face Benjamin, ready to fight... before freezing when he notices the large amount of ammunition hitting the cat. His conscious mind pushes on his instincts for the moment, stopping him from jumping haphazardly into a crossfire, but he stays crouched and... probably looks quite silly, being not properly built for such a feral thing at all.

Edel grimaces a little and reaches up to adjust her glasses, ears laying back at all the gunfire. "...What provoked him to do that?" She asks, a frown tugging at her muzzle. "Pah. It's no concern of mine, I suppose. If any of you happen to need me, I can be found out in the east forest. Just look for the cafe!" A shameless advertisement as she flashes a grin and starts to kick into the air.

Sasha slowly nods as Benjamin decides to start shooting, scooping up the wolf-man and flutter her way over to Z tower. The only flight out was Mike, and she didn't want to be late. "When we get you there, I'll introduce you, you'll have the chance to become fully human again, and get all the innoculations, both physical and mental you wish. I was born this way, and rather like it. If you choose to stay mutated, well, you can, and they will give you the innocuations either way." Flying her way away from yet another Zephyr spill over. "And don't worry, we're not unhinged like that, but you are going to have to not shoot random people anymore. They'll give you a job to do though."

Benjamin grunts as the bullets pepper him, the shot from the sniper hitting him in the side of his head, bouncing of the curved surface and leaving the cat's vision start to fade to blackness. Knowing he is about to pass out he reaches to grab something at hidden at his hip, dropping his gun to the ground and falling to his knees. He growls as he slumbs over his own weapon and looses conciousness.

Fenris is long gone by now, his bushy striped tail disappearing over the horizon. If the crazies want to have it out, they are on their own. The tanuki has a bottle of sake back home with his name on it and he is not about to miss it on account of Zephyr or the wackjobs they attract.

As Benjamin pulls the pin on his grenade, only one agent notices. The commander. "Don't touch him. He pulled a grenade. Suicidal psychopath... Alright, we're done here. Move out." The agents clear out in short order, not one of them waiting for the sniper. He speaks over his comm unit: "Assholes. You left me sitting on the roof."

Menil stands up after the threat has passed, hearing what the commander says. He looks confused at Benjamin, before heading back off towards Zephyr HQ, since everyone else seems to have left for now.
