It's late afternoon, the temperature just starting to drop after a day of stifling heat and no breezes. Perhaps most interesting though were the letters delivered to various mutants around Fairhaven, requesting aid in discreetly moving a vague something outside of the bubble and supplying a general location to meet. A home just off the path to New Dawn. Sitting in front of said home is a clearly male mouse, ruddy brown, staring into a roaring bonfire he built and waiting.

Hearing from a rat who knows a rat, Mickey had decided to follow the tip and take wing nearby the meeting spot. She's been waiting on the path a bit aways from the house, her arms crossed and foot tapping as she occasionally checks her watch. While the pink one is unsure about just what the issue was and who else may of gotten the letters, she did hear a rumor that a 'Yote would be showing up. Curious as to exactly who, she'll wait to link up before finishing the rest of the trip to the house.

What Mickey had forgotten about yotes is that they were always fashionably late, that and....Angus got a little lost on his way here. Shading his eyes he looks up at the sun to check to see what time it was as he walks down the path, muttering something about a left turn and what not. When his eyes finally returned to the road he notices something pink not to far off, and his smile grows as he waves to the Rat. "Hey Mickey, didn't expect to see you here!"

The mouse gets up from his seat in the dirt to go and check the path for any takers of his offer. How long does it take for a promethean to pass out a few letters? He gets partway down the short path and spots the 'yote and rat before going back to waiting patiently. Is this all he could get interested in his request?

Mickey's ears perk up when she spots the shape moving down the path, and after flagging the yote down with her arm she returns the smile with her own. "Really? I was somewhat expectin' you," she informs, then gives a brief hug and light peck on his cheek. "Well, some'yote anyway. Other then that, I was sorta in the dark." Taking his arm, the rat sees fit to escort him the rest of the way to the spot. "Been waitin' awhile. If you came, then you're probably the last.." who else would arrive so late anyway?

Angus perks up happily as he is escorted by the pink one, and he nuzzles her in turn. The peck on his cheek making his tail wag faster as he chuckles. "Ya, but I wonder if this job really needs more then two..Whatever it is." He looks up as they continue down the path, head tilting as he lays eyes on the Old mouse and he waves his free hand at him in greeting. "Hello there, you the one looking for assistance?"

A little breeze kicks up and there's silence from the greying rodent as he gives Angus and Mickey critical, examining looks up and down. Not exactly impressive. Not at all. "So I got a pair of lovers I see. Great. Can I offer you two a drink and a seat before we talk business?" The mouse fidgets and slumps before heading back in the direction of his house, naked mouse tail dragging in the dirt behind him as he sullenly pads off.

Mickey's ears flick at the comment, and while there's a bloom of color along her ears she has no problem giving the arm a squeeze before gesturing more normally with her hat. "Not like there's a certified mail outfit out there. Probably have better luck asking for help by bird." She flutters her wings and waves down the offer for a drink with a handwave. "Nah, I'm straight. What's this all about anway?" Can't just dangle 'buisness' infront of her nose and then just draw it out. She's clearly more used to the rapid, dark-of-the-night trades instead.

Angus just smirks at the mouse and pulls Mickey a little closer as his tail wags. "Whats wrong with a couple that's comfortable with taking on a job like this?" He comments, his tone light as he watches the Mouse start to walk towards his house. He had no problem with being underestimated, but when drinks were offered he just shakes his head. "No thank you, I don't usually drink on the job." He was curious as well, letting Mickey ask the question as he stands there.

The mouse leads the pair to his house and motions for them to sit by the fire before scurrying inside his home and rummaging around noisily for a time. Eventually he comes back out with a plastic jug that has a little sticker of a rat head on it, joining the pair at the fire and quietly sipping at what may very likely be some sort of moonshine. He coughs a bit to clear his throat and speak to his volunteers, "Well. The business is simple enough. I need some help moving... me." The mouse looks pensive as he says that and goes quiet as he contemplates silently.

Mickey takes her seat and smooths her skirt-like wrap over her legs. Her eyes go to and stay on the jug the mouse sips on, but after hearing the request she changes her first question to; "Moving ya? What..like escorting?" It seems like a strange request to her, and she looks about the home curiously. "Place just not feelin' like home?"

Angus takes a seat by the fire, and then scoots away as the flames feel a little to hot for the chill coyote. The rat sticker causes him to chuckle, wondering if the jug was homenade or not as he listens to the mouse. "Considering your reaction when we appeared you expected more people. Which means that this won't be a walk in the park, will it?"

Angus' last statement hangs in the air before the mouse nods at the coyote and Mickey. "Yeah. Oh. Name's Martin by the way. Always forget to add that..." He trails off and wrings his tail in his hands anxiously while he tries to think and summon the proper words. "Well. I've been here since before P-day y'know. Camping when it happened. And those prommies keep me nice and safe. Never had good cause to leave. Too scared anyways." Marting goes quiet and takes a big 'sip' of his jug again.

Mickey's whiskers quiver. "Mickey," she volunteers in return with a proper pull on her hatbrim. "All these years, huh?" she whistles, then gives a twitching tug to her whiskers as she thinks. A glance is given to Angus, perhaps to see what sort of insight he had on the whole thing. "So..got a good cause now, I guess?"

Angus raises an eyebrow as he leans forward, his chin resting in his hand. "Angus." Something didn't sit right with this, his tail twitching as he eyes the Mouse. "....Something must of spooked you if you're willing to over come that fear to leave. Something that you believe not even the prommise can handle I take it?" He was fishing in the dark, but he didn't want to be rude and just tell the mouse that he will walk if he doesn't come clean. Coyote wasn't going to walk down this road without knowing about the potholes along the way.

Martin taps his chin and nods sullenly at Mickey and Angus. Vague isn't the way to go here it seems. "Sorry. I ramble sometimes. Well... I left a lot of loose ends hiding here these past few years." The mouse sets down his jug of booze, stands, and starts pacing to help him dispel all the nervous energy he's been saving up. "Mostly I just want to go to my home town. Like... paying my respects. I'm sure I won't find anybody left, but yeah. And honestly, I highly doubt I'd make it there on my own."

Mickey strokes her whiskers into a slight frown. "Where would that be?" Sure they were peppering him with questions, but not like they could just pick a direction and start walking. "I mean, it matters if it's sorta outside the bubble or not. And how much we gotta bring along, too."

Angus leans forward and rests his hands on his knees. He kept quiet, waiting for an answer as he analizes the Mouse in front of him. His tail flicked, his gaze flicking to Mickey for a few seconds before he looks right back to Martin. "It's outside of the bubble isn't it, in a rather nasty spot as well?"

"It's out the bubble. A good few days of walking. Real small place." Martin eyes the pair and crosses his arms with a huff and a little shiver. "And last I heard... it was bad. Bandits and such. Pet ferals. Other odd things." Martin's tail flicks behind him like a live-wire as a short beat of silence takes hold. "The only thing I can think to give you is a hidden safe my parents had in their home. A couple fancy guns in it. Jewelry. If it's still there and un-opened." Kind of banking on a very miniscule long shot isn't he?

At any other time the rodent would of just followed the red flags and suggest that dream of 'paying respects' be rethought. Add the sweetener of vaulables, tho'.. "What do you think?" She turns and asks Angus. "I dunno if we can do it with just ourselves, and have you ever been out of it?" She has to adjust her hat as her ears refuse to stop twitching. "I could probably rope a few more rats in, maybe.."

Angus taps his foot on the ground as he turns this over in his thoughts, there really were a lot of red flags. A lot of holes in this...but... The coyote stands up....and offers the Mouse his hand. "How long until you have everything prepared for the journey? And don't worry. We can handle anything these bandits throw at us." He smiles, turning to Mickey and giving her a nod. "If you can rope a few more Rats into helping that would be nice....but I know a way we can get some backup. If we really are desperate."

"Take your time. Really. As long as I can get home." The mouse shakes Angus' hand and then goes to Mickey and shakes hers. "And... thanks. I know it's asking a lot." Martin pads back to his jug of moonshine and plops down with a huff. "Just... come back whenever you're ready. I guess."

Mickey shakes the offered hand, then stands up with a soft little sigh. It really way, but still. "Thanks. Will be a few days; if we start hitting roadblocks in plannin' we'll let you know." Not at least referring to another group anyway. And she had just gotten used to being back in the bubble, too. Doffing her hat farewell, the rat will follow the Yote out and back to the city.

Angus smirks and returns the hand shake. "Will have to pack a few things myself, probably a few surprises for these bandits of yours. But don't worry, we will get you back to your home town." This wouldn't be his first trip outside the bubble, and this time he wasn't nanite reinforced...which was a good thing. He wraps an arm around Mickeys shoulders and smiles. "I'll be back to check up on you tomorrow, and probably ask about the lay out of your old town if you remember it right. Just so we can use it in our planning."
