In the offices of Zephyr, Milo the Pangolin calmly sat reading his paper. It had been a brisk day with a lot of paper work, but he was happy to have reached this point of getting on with the job. Looking out to the elevator and stairs, he awaited the arrival of applicants for the position Zeph had posted.

For one jackal who was still dealing with retraining after his recent stunt in the town of Eureka involving the demolition of a crime den, it was a welcome diversion to pop a shot at doing something challenging for a while! He had a lot to make up for, so every opportunity was a gift from the gods themselves. On this day, the canine seemed to be in... a fairly good mood, actually! Perhaps something had happened to lift his spirits, considering how troubled he'd been for the past week or so... who really knew. T'was not the smile on his face, nor the plethora of weapons upon his body that drew the eye so quickly, though... neither the flamethrower, nor the laser rifle, nor the belt loaded with gas canisters or mysterious retracted claws wrapped around his wrists, nay... such things were common these days. What drew the eye, rather... was the color of the male's fur. He was a bright and vibrant pink, from head to toe, save for his nose, which remained that same shade of pitch black, and his eyes, a reflective golden shine. He whistles a tune and makes his way up the stairs towards the meeting point, without a care in the world... Once inside the room, he peers around and flashes a charismatic smile towards Milo. "Howdy." he greets. "Here for the assignment!"

A surprisingly light footfall could be heard rising up the stairs. A pair of ears, tall and defiant against the rise was the first thing to be seen from the one who rose up. Adorned in what appeared to be workout gear, a halter top and long shorts covered her, close and swaying. Her legs bent and her step was springy, lifting her up towards the floor she had found in the flyer. Said flyer, still grasp in her hand, was where her eyes lingered. Up and down, before a familiar voice caught her attention. "... Yep, right place," she murmured, stepping slightly back towards that Pangolin lad. "Let's see... This the place for the... ah... Sewer right?" A tilted smile played across her vulpine maw, the lass shifting lightly as she stood, trying to breath slowly and calmly. "The applications that is." Her eyes drifted for a moment, that pink lad beside her disturbingly familiar... But she bit her lip, shaking her head with a soft chuckle, mirth devoid of such a sound. "Sorry, touch out of sorts. This is... there, yes?"

Khaybat ends up wandering into the room though she seems to be having trouble walking quite right. Her leg might be healed but she had spent a good two hours until it healed up so the doe wasn't having an easy time walking on it again. Especially since all the nanites in it had to regrow after the radiation got into the same limb.

Ebreus hums Paint it Black by Guns & Roses to himself as he rides the elevator up to the office of Milo the Pangolin to respond to the call to check in on the sewer colony again. After a few minutes and completing humming the tune he does a simple stretch, starting with his neck as he shifts position to more of a power-pose. As the elevator door opens it reveals the 8'7" fox clad in his usual armor standing, legs apart, with his head held high. He takes a deep breath... and yep somebody has a Lust Aura he knew since he'd just delt with his rut and now it is back. Unceremoniously, he dismisses this revelation and steps out of the elevator to spy the other agents who have responded to the call.

He snerks to see perhaps the most professional, even in light of the recent news, agent he knows not his usual golden but rather pink, "Hi Otto. What happened to all your gold?" he says he waves a polite greeting to Mokou then when he sees Khaybat he aproaches by one step and says, "Hello. How are you feeling since the reactor run?"

Milo looks to Mokou as she asks him "Yes, this is the application place for the interview with the Reservoir Colony Queen." he says with a smile, before looking to Otto with a small bit of confusion, but brushes it off. Once everyone has arrived and seated, the Pangolin gets up and begins to speak "Thank you everyone for applying, as you may or may not know, a couple weeks ago, Zephyr came in contact with a small colony non-ferals that reside in a dried out sewer reservoir below town. Thanks to the help of both our agents and those like Eberus for New Dawn, we were able to work out a deal for trade, and to gather information for later development for the sewers." Milo pauses for a brief moment before continuing "As a part of that, we had hoped to have an interview with the colony queen a few days after, as it was reported to use that she had been a sanitation worker before P-Day. Unfortunately, she has had complications with her current pregnancy, and has asked us to have the interview within her place." He stops and points to the group. "This is where you come in. We need a few agents to negotiate and work this interview, so as the information gets back to us in as clear a form as possible. So the question is...what can you bring to the job for that?" As he finishes he feels the Lust aura that about and simply comments to them "Whoever that is, please stifle it. Wouldn't want it being a distraction."

That familiar tingle, the flash of warmth that crossed Otto's body, his entire form feeling awash with a sudden urge to... to... wait a tick, he knew that feeling, and it would take but a moment longer for him to identify the source. "Mokou?" he smiles warmly once he spots the lovely girl, just as radiant and wonderful as he remembered her. She'd not been absent very long, and they'd kept in touch as best they could, but to see her and work with her again? T'was a dream come true. Otto moves right in and pulls her into a quick and tight hug, even going so far as to squeeze around her waist, pick her up off the ground and spin her around once! He was just that happy to see her, and was definitely not afraid to show it. "My god, of all the places to run into you." he sighs quietly, then releases her.

He'd go on, but his speech was interrupted by Ebreus' entrance. The jackal gives his fennec comrade one more peck on the nose, casts her a wink, then returns to the matters at hand. "Hey Eb." he greets warmly, then laughs for a few moments, a chuckle more than a guffaw, really... "Oh, some know it all dared me to waltz around like this for the day, and you know what?" the canine strikes a pose, pressing one paw upon the back of his neck, the other meeting his hip "I can rock ANY color, so DAMN RIGHT I'm gonna win this bet, and I'm gonna look fabulous as FUCK doing it!" he says with a sly wink, then teases "Why, you like?"

His attention is then drawn to the impala from before, his features softening as he regards her. "Hi there." he says with a quiet tone as he nears her, his tail swaying behind him "You doing okay? You had a very nasty fall back there..." clearly though, the medics had done their job proper. She was in fine health. "I am glad you are up and about." the male adds, places one paw on her shoulder and squeezes, casts her a subtle wink, then turns towards Milo. His arms cross behinds his back and he nods in understanding. "Gotcha, I'm not the best at negotiations, but I can provide protection should the shit hit the fan. I believe my colleague here." he points to Ebreus "is specialized in the words talkin'." but then again, they already knew that...

Khaybat was doing a good job of making it seem like she was walking funny due to her leg though in truth it was due to going into heat. The impala didn't exactly expect it to happen so she hadn't brought anything to counter it along with either. Of course as if this wasn't bad enough Ebreus and Otto walk up and mention the whole nook thing which makes the 'pala just look up at both with the hugest of Q_Q eyes. Clearly she's still trying to forget the whole falling thing.

Ebreus nods as Milo aknowledges his contribution to the project of getting the cooperation of the Sewer mutants. He snerks in response to Ottos answer, "Alright... though this bet is really making me wish I had reproduction Nano. Debbie has to see this." he says. Then he turns his attention back to Khaybat and noticing her expression his ears droop a little before his says, "Yeah... I wouldn't want to be reminded od it if it happened to me either. Sorry." In response to the question of what he could bring to the job he clears his throat, "What I bring to the job are the skills of a trained and proven capable negotiator, as my record shows, in addition to the Queen being familiar with me and have recieved assistance from me. Additionally I am a capable engineer so where talking my way around fails I can easily offer improvments to their infrastructure in exchange for acess." he says, flaunting his skills just a little. For only a brief moment, Mokou didn't quite know what was being said, or what was going on about her. The feeling of someone familiar, of their voice rolling in her ears, of those hands brushing about waist as they hold her and... she is spun. The voice, the familiarity, the touch of their fur against her own... Her smile grew warmer and softer, the lass finally lookign upon the pink lad with eyes full of recognition, arms briefly squeezing him in return. "Heh... Well glad to see you too..." Settling down upon the ground, a wink was shot his way, tail brushing across and lighting upon his leg, "... Stud," she nearly purred. The word lingered there, the lass looking to him for but a moment. Trying to say a thousand things, but life moved ever onward.

Mokou stood there for a moment, lingering back for a half moment as another familiar form entered there in. A halfhearted smile returned to Ebreus, the lass simply trying to nod at what had been shared. After all, reunion was a delight, but they were there for a reason. In this case... Non-ferals below the surface... She couldn't help the smile that touched upon her maw, a warm sound seeming to echo in her throat. "People still... in the sewers," A hand fell to her belly there, a smile playing at her lips as she nodded back up to Milo as they spoke. "Got it then. Pregnancy kept her down there, so can't quite... leave. That... makes sense." A soft breath, the lass gripping the hem of her shorts, head dipping faintly before a sad smile played at her lips. Voice not above a breath, she sighed out in response, "I'm trying sir... pardon..."

At the moment though, a question had been leveled. One she stood at attention for, tail swaying behind her with a soft warmth... as she tried to respond. "What can I bring to the job for that... Well sir, I'm not the most... level negotiator. I can only affirm what Otto said there. Ebreus... he is much better in terms of word smithy than I. What I bring is simple. History of the past and legends of what have become of it now. Negotiation I can't perform, but informing either side of what the state of the affair, the world about it, and where it came from, that much I can provide. Above that, I'm not the strongest about, but if worst comes to worst, I won't flee a scrap, nor be useless." She opened her maw, trying to find the words that failed to come.... before simply nodding, "That is... what I can provide. S-sir."

The Pangolin nodded to the responses before looking back to Khaybat "So, What can you bring?" he asks, having not heard a direct response, which he awaits calmly for.

Otto listens with mild amusement and snerks as Ebreus brags about his skills. He gives a subtle roll of his eyes, crosses his arms and reaches into his pocket, pulls out a small toothpick and locks it between his teeth. Somehow, that helped deal with the presence of a certain... influence.

Poor Khaybat continues to Q_Q face at Otto and Ebreus all the while though it's pretty clear that the poor thing is going to have a hard time living down the whole falling through any time soon. When asked what she can do there's a long pause and then the doe replies, "I'm good with empathy?"

Ebreus grins lightly seeing Otto's response to his bragging, sure he was in fact bragging but he felt it appropriate to show off when asked about his skills. He staves off his rut though the self-control that would be taught as part of conducting oneself in such a way as to be conducive to negotiations and controlled breathing though he makes mental note to check if Otto has a trick up his sleeve for it.

Mokou shifts slightly upon her feet, peering betwixt the lot of them as she slowly tried to softly breath and... smile. Rubbing her shins for a moment, she quietly sat back, looking over back to Milo before quietly shrugging. "Well then... I suppose that is what is... what we've got? Pardon... Not much to say there." Indeed, there wasn't much that she said in that term, only shifting from foot to foot, trying to peer between them, lingering for a few moments... before passing to the next.

Milo looks at the response and sighs a little. "I was hoping someone was good when it comes to recording or had that nano on hand like before, but it seems thats not the case. Empathy could work in this group so you all are accepted for the mission. There is a scout awaiting for you at the Sewers which will lead you to the colony." he says before pulling out a notepad and paper, and handing it to one of the members. "Here is some recording materials if needed." he says "If there are no other questions, you are dismissed and good luck."

Otto is startled once he hears about the recording biz. He reaches into his pack and pulls out a laptop, then raise his hand and exclaims, "Oh oh oh! I have that nanofuckery. No problem!" the pink jackal exclaims with vivid enthusiasm "I'll get you a recording, no problem!" he adds with a smile and a thumbs up, then peers back to see the rest of his team already departing. Tucking his laptop back into his pack, the jackal clasps his paws and exclaims "ONWARDS!" before rushing after the rest. It was time for adventure! ...in the sewers... yuck. Oh well, ADVENTURE indeed!

Ebreus can't help but snerk at Ottos enthusiasim and tendancy to incorporate the word 'fuck' into just about any discusion of Nanomagic of any type. He makes his exit with Otto and walks with him to the Sewer. He smiles, "Thanks." he says to Otto in response to being given a tablet and then telepathically continues, 'Mokou have a run-in with an Uber Fox?' Reguardless of answer they make their way to the sewer and meet their guide whom he greets politely then follows them to the familiar hazard of horrible goo.

Along the way it was pretty hard to miss the certain... well... scents his colleague was... ahem, exhuming... so Otto tucks a paw into his pocket, gives Ebreus a poke on the shoulder and flicks a red colored jelly bean at him, which to his surprise the fox manages to catch. "To help with that itch between your legs. Eyes on the prize, pardner." the jackal winks, then returns his attention to Mokou, idly chatting with her all along the way, happy to be in the fennec's presence. She was... as intoxicating as ever, but in a good way.

Climbing down into the sewers, you are greeted by a Frog Prince morph. He smiles and takes you down the winding passage on its way to the colony as he had done for the group before. As you reach nearby the colony, you find yourself looking at a giant pile of sludge, one that the frog walks though as if it was nothing.

Deeper and deeper into the bowels of the city's sewers the group winded. Paths and roads that the inhabitants knew like the back of the hand flew over the head of those who intruded. A path torn through the sludge and the slime was cut, Mokou leading near the rear. Leading from the rear? No, hardly. The quiet conversation that ambled about, following hither and yon, chasing rabbit hole and hen house was what kept her attention rapt. Deeper and deeper they delved... the lass ever mindful as she shifted and swayed, seemingly constantly off balance, or rather, simply not trying to stay in one place long.

Eventually the party would find their way down the sewer and face a rather... ick, unpleasant sight. Otto had primed the laser rifle in his arms by then, and was doing his job as their guard, keeping his eyes peeled and his ears perked up for any signs of trouble. Quiet out of place footfall that might hint at an ambush, the presence of armed ne'er-do-wells that might cause them problems, anything that seemed out of place or threatening, he was all over it. He keeps his weapon down and eyeballs the frog, but keeps his yapper shut and lets their esteemed negotiator handle the words' talkin'.

The goo posing no threat to Ebreus in his sealed power armor he turns to his companions and recalling Khaybats earlier limp he says to the Impalla, "If you would preffer I could carry you over this... hazard." He glances over to Mokou as well suggesting the offer is open to her as well.

Khaybat ends up going Q_Q once again after seeing how long the jump is. When Ebreus offers to carry her over it though the doe ends up climbing onto him and clings to the top of his suit with her arms.

Finally, a titanic pile of... garbage... It was their trial of sorts. Not quite trial perhaps, but their obstacle. For a moment, Mokou felt as much as saw Otto move his hands, reaching for weapons to destroy and to maim. Eyes that sought to peer and to scour out the injustice that might about. No word was passed, the fennec lass simply raising her hand, placing it upon his shoulder. A reminder as much as a gesture. "Breath girl... b-breath," she murmured. To him. To her. To them all. The sludge stood still and fast... but the fennec did not. Step by step, her ankles dissapearing through that sludge, the sensation of it cloying and clinging. Wrapping fast about her feet, pulling through her fur, seeping against her flesh with a chill like death. She did not know what was within that... Nor what might have lingered there in... A simple glance to her, fur standing tall and sharply was enough to tell one what was felt. Her gaze turned though, those words dancing in her ears. "Y... Yes please. This feels... It feels wrong here. Just... Pardon... S-something off." The Frog Prince smiles back at the group "What? you guys weren't so eh about that last time...or at least who was here." he says with a minor laugh, kicking away what little of the sludge stuck to him as he waited for them to cross.

Having to carry his rifle, Otto nods at the other three and casts a glance at Ebreus "Watch your step. One slip and you'll douse all of them in this... gunk." he casts the frog a sideways glance, albeit joined by a light smile. "I'll scout ahead." he announces "Make sure nothing shady is happening. If you hear anything out of place... well, you know what to do." That said, the jackal takes a light squat, and suddenly leaps right out of the slime, his body carried across the filth in a single bound, the jackal ending up on firm ground on the other side with a roll. He stands firm and tall, scanning the environment, his eyes taking in every inch of his surroundings. He keeps his rifle lowered so as to not spark aggression from anyone, and once he makes sure that nothing was worth worrying about, he turns to the others and gestures for them to make their approach.

Ebreus smiles in his helmet as the Impalla climbs atop his armored form. "Sure thing, Mokou." he says as he begins to trudge through the sludge. He snakes his lower left arm between Mokou's arms and torso then lifts her out of the muck. "This is some pretty nasty stuff, the last group was just able to get around it without fuss." he explains as he carries them. After a few moments he reaches the other side and sets the women down. "I'll carry you back when we're leaving he says to the women." he says then nods in aknowledgment of Otto's statements and procedes with the groups guide.

Khaybat goes from sad eyes to happy eyes as she's carried across the muck but then again after her last brush with her own bad reflexes she didn't really want to take a chance with getting across on her own. As they get to the other side the doe hops off and tries to hug Ebreus though it might look rather weird since she's so tiny in comparison.

Hoisted bodily upward and lugged across the span of sludge, Mokou quietly... leered would perhaps be the most accurate word. The junk that flowed beneath her, slipping and sliding as most unnatural a fluid did, it nearly made her queasy simply at the crossing. Somewhere, she recognized what Ebreus was saying, that it was fine and that the others before had passed through without the least of harm. But this... it made her shiver, clinging fast to that arm about. Even once through the titanic wall of goo from which that disturbing sensation seemed to pour, she was remiss to let go. Finally, releasing, she shot the lad a warm smile, something pleasant compared to the gunk that surrounded. A smile and... she turned, looking back for that Frog. "Alright... let's... let's keep this going."

Having cleared through the gunk, the guide continued, leaving the group down to the main colony. Once Reaching it's entrance, the group finds themselved walking along the floor of what is a dry sewer resevoir, the bottom of which has become the site of the small town. Small ranshackle houses dot the paths, thought Eberius would notice signs of improvement from the last time he was here, likely the results of the trade between Zephyr, New Dawn and the Colony. Even with that, the sounds of people getting freaky in the side tunnels could still be heard, likely a result of them being excellent hideaways. In front of them, the group finds a long well kept path, leading to a small tunnel at the back wall, two ember warriors standing there in guard of it.

Otto murmurs something under his breath as he traverses the area with his team. He felt off-guard... his ears perking in response to the sounds around them, and while he recognized what they were, they served as a reminder about how easily once could prepare an ambush in a place like this. Why would anyone want to ambush them, though? They were here on a diplomatic mission, right? The jackal sighs lightly, his nose doing its best to seal off against the... particular odors wafting about a place like this, putrid and pungent stink perhaps only so interpreted by his overly sensitive sniffer. He felt the urge to make the joke about he who smelt it, but with the frog nearby, it felt out of place, and kind of offensive. His glance wanders about, feet falling heavily against the terrain below, the armored boots thereupon producing audible thumping.

Once they near the wall, he swallows dryly and keeps his weapon down. The jackal had faced off against literal platoons of these slimy bastards in the past, and two would be no issue now, but... he knew not how many there were, how many lurked in the shadows... perhaps armed with rifles already aimed at their heads... ready for a signal to turn all their brains into a fine mushy paste. No no no! Stop it, stop it! It was exactly that kind of paranoia that'd gotten him in trouble before, and he would not let it happen again. They were in no danger... "No danger..." Otto mutters under his breath, quietly... though one with an acute ear or two might hear him repeat those words over and over~

Khaybat is doing her best to ignore the sounds of humping going on though it was awful hard given she had gone into heat. The doe is even blushing though she doesn't seem to notice it yet. Then again she's too busy trying not to undress the rest of the party with the power of her mind.

Mokou slowly strode onward with the group, ears eternally kept vigilant as they did so. Sounds echoed against rackety walls and pipes half full, sounding out and reaching to her. It... made her smile? A sad smile that never reached her eyes, but a smile none the less. "At least we know they are as much people down here... as they are above," she murmured. Indeed, as she looked upon what housing she couldn't help but feel... proud of sorts? "And even here... People are living... Surviving. Thriving." It was a warmer smile that graced her maw, peering back to the others. Otto, Ebreus, Khaybat... "Astonishing... isn't it?"

Her tail flicked errantly, a flinch running its course across her maw. She swiftly turned back, looking forward again, that sort of... warmth seeming to grow nigh imperceptibly as they slunk further down the path. The Warriors before them... taller than her. She shot up a gaze, brief and... a touch sharper than needed. Her muzzle split open, moving to speak. But... it was not her place. It was not her mission for that. This... Her ears caught. A voice. Otto. Her eyes softened as she turned halfway, a step back taken. Nothing to say. Nothing to be. Simply to lift her hand. To place it upon his shoulder. To attempt to smile and have it feel real. Danger could be around every corner... but it wasn't. It couldn't be. She didn't want to believe that. No... She didn't believe. That. Right? A whispered word, a soft smile and she did what she could. "Hey... Relax. You're... you're going to be alright, okay? Going to be... alright." Pity... why couldn't she believe those words?

Ebreus follows their guide, a bit behind Otto as they reach the Outpost. He smiles warmly to see that they've managed to improve their infrastructure since trading has begun. Not enough people who haven't worked with it or been educated on relevant fields appreciated good infrastructure is seemed to Ebreus but the Queen of this Colony seems to. Seeing the guards to the location of the Queen he nods to himself and takes the tablet Otto provided him before approaching the guards, just ahead of the rest of the group. He says, "Greetings, I'm one of the Agents who was here a few weeks ago to meet with the Queen. We have returned to continue the business we have had with her."

The two guards nod in response to Ebreus' comment with a nod "Yes, the Queen mentioned expecting you" one of them says before both Warriors step aside and lets the group pass.

No no no, the jackal's problem was not as simple as having the jitters from being in a strange place, no. His entire career as an agent was all about dealing with hostile ferals in strange places, and there were plenty he could think of that were far stranger than this. No, the problem lied deeper down, rooted as a memory that had plagued the jackal for many years now, this place... it reminded him of something, something he had intended to lock up in the deepest recesses of his mind, far away where it would never poison his mind again, but being here... it was the equivalent of unearthing those festering evils and replaying them back all over again in the back of his mind.

Transversing into the small tunnel, the Agents soon find themselves walking into a large torch lit room. Circular in shape, they find it populated with several morphs inside, most of them seeming to be converged around a well endowed Ember Breeder who seems to be in late term of pregnancy, a Tall Ember Warrior standing beside her. Looking up she smiles with a struggled huff. "Ahhh, hello there," She says as she sees the agents.

He swallows hard and releases Mokou's paw. It was time to get going... Into the belly of the beast they wandered, through the confined tunnel and into the torch-lit den of the queen herself. The jackal quirks an eyebrow, for she seemed so strangely unprotected, welcoming even. Well, Otto had agreed to record the procedures, so he reluctantly puts his rifle away and retrieves his laptop, then starts the recording process, feeding a copy of the data into the portable computer's drive.

The jackal flinches a little once Mokou makes contact with his shoulder, then glances down at it, following up her arm and onto her muzzle, then up into her eyes. His breathing had picked up and his heart was thumping out an unsteady beat, though looking deep into her mocha eyes, it... was soothing, hearing her voice, so sweet and melodious, it... was calming, and seeing her smile, faint and perhaps forced, it... it was heartwarming nonetheless. He moves his paw over atop her own and flashes a nervous grin of his own, "Yah..." he exhales sharply, "I uh, I think so too." He didn't.

Khaybat just kind of stares at the Embers meanwhile. She thinks the entire species looks so weird it's hard not to. So the doe decides to direct her attention to the rest of the room, unaware she might be getting ogles from the rest of the morphs. At least her tail's wiggling is just adorable in its motions rather than fanning her condition around. That done, he exercises some manners and dips down into a light bow before the queen, flashes a smile and says "A pleasure, I'll be recording the proceedings for Zephyrian records, if that is permissible ofcourse. My companion here will do the talking." he gestures towards Ebreus.

Mokou slowly slipped further into the hollow beneath the earth, following the path set before them. Naught but a quiet whimper falls from her lips, feeling... almost wrong here. Not in danger... but in someplace one doesn't belong. A strangled sound tried to free itself from her maw, the lass clamping down and swallowing the... sensation as she continued further on in. Deeper... warmer... it felt like dipping into the bowels of some strange monster. Her eyes narrowed at the thought, a memory startlingly recent flashing by her... before the lass simply... held upon Otto's hand. This felt wrong. It felt too familiar and wrong.

Her heart lept at seeing the Matriarch there, at the presence that they seemed to permit. That this was the end of the road, that this was what they were here for. The fennec lass tried to smile, trying to keep her head down as the Breeder loomed over them. Nothing to say, not by words at least. The flick of her tail, the warmth of her being and that which she... exhumed gave another message... but one she tried... tried... to stiffle. To little avail.

Ebreus smiles seeing the Breeder Queen, "Greetings, your guards mentioned you were prepared for us." he says. He retracts his helmet around his head then continues, "I am ready to begin the interview if you are as well." he says then looks back to his allies to see their discomfort and just turns his attention back to the Queen.

The Queen smiles "One moment" she says before pushing back those about her, and having the Ember Warrior beside her help her sit up. "Alright then...wh--" she begins to say, before there is the sudden sounds of shouting from the entrance. A moment later, one of the guards approach "Apologies for the intrusion my Queen, but it seems one of the Tunnels may have collapsed and there are people trapped inside."

Feeling Mokou reach for his hand once more, Otto doesn't let go another time. He does what he does with one arm, carefully fiddling with the electronics and carrying the laptop one-armed as best he could, but does not release Mokou's hand. He could feel her anxiety, hear it in her quiet whimper, see it in her eyes as well... so no, he doesn't let go, at least not yet. His fingers grip the fennec's paw reassuringly, firmly but not painfully so, even going so far as to interweave with her own as the proceedings went on, the large breeder creature looming over them.

Once everything was set to start, they were interrupted by a guard, who promptly announces a catastrophe in progress. The jackal sighs quietly and lets his glance wander between his teammates, then casts an apologetic gaze to Mokou, and folds his laptop shut. "I'm an Earth Nanomage with plenty of experience in mineworks. I can assist with that while the negotiations take place. I guess Zephyr will do without their logs." he states firmly, as calmly as possible before releasing Mokou's paw. "Take care of what needs doing. Our mission takes priority." he tells Ebreus, then turns to the guard and says "I'll help with the cave-in, lead the way." Stay behind and try not to feel weird watching the Embers or go help with the cave-in? It doesn't take Khaybat long to decide and soon she ends up going after Otto. Maybe she can help kick the stones with her hooves or something!

It took a few seconds for Mokou to actually grasp what the guard had said. Her ears slowly dipped down, a breath taken that was a touch too sharp. Eyes flicked back to Otto as he moved up, speaking and volunteering. She shot a sad smile back, nodding. Of course he would volunteer. Of course he could. She tried to smile, lifting the pad that had been given to the group for the moment, pulling out a pencil to put to paper, "Zephyr will just have to deal with hard copies this time. You.... you go and help them." A slight smile was returned to the group, the fennec pulling her feet beneath her, settling to sit upon the ground as she looked on. "Sh... Shall we?" Gesturing forward, she swallowed her heart, trying to listen. Ebreus nods when she says 'Alright and prepares to begins then when the grard rushes in he imediently shifts his attention, "Hold on! We could clear it together in a matter of moments, no sense in allowing this to continue in light of that." He looks back to the Queen, "My apologies but there will be a short delay." he says then jogs toward the exit, "Lead the way, let's get the rescue underway." he says to the Guard who game to get help.

The Queen nods "Understandable, thank you and good luck" she says as she rests for the moment as they leave to go help. Reaching the door, the group finds a tired and panicy looking Goo Girl who tells them that she was having some fun with their friends when the tunnel collapsed. Following her, you find yourself climbing into one of the tunnels that are part of the left wall, and work your way back a few feet. Looking ahead, you find two morphs there, a Frog Prince who seems to be out cold on the ground, and a Male Gator struggiling to keep whats left of the tunnel from falling on top of them.

Otto sighs quietly and fleshes Mokou a smile, then once there was no point in her sitting by, he gestures for her to follow as well. If there were injured, they'd need treatment, and seeing as the jackal knew jack diddly about medicine, well... suffice to say he needed her, badly.

Once they arrive on-site, it becomes abundantly clear that the tunnel was barely holding. The jackal wastes no time and immediately focuses his influence on the stones above, hardening the loose rock and making it so that a collapse was far less likely. It took a lot of effort, but the nanites do their job, the end result being a ceiling and surrounding walls hardened enough to sustain themselves.

"Bloody hell." the jackal sighs out, then wipes his brow. He struggles, but focuses once more to assist in loosening the worst of the rocks. Well, he tries...

Khaybat meanwhile goes over towards where the fainted frog prince and starts trying to use her medkit on him. Good thing it doesn't require her to know much about healies since she doesn't actually know anything about it. This is exactly why she lives above ground where she doesn't have to worry about being squished by debris! Just falling down pits to her doom.

After a few moments of settling upon the ground, peering to the others, it became clear they were intended to head out at this intrusion. Mokou thus... simply raised, giving a small smile back to the matriarch before swiftly heading back out with the others. That she hastened towards it... well, that was beside the point. Even a collapsed tunnel was better than... She shook her head, a silent growl falling from her lips. None of that.

Upon reaching the tunnel, it was not her prerogative to unearth the ground or support the tunnel. The one upon the ground, fainted, she peered and shook her head. "The frog will be alright. Just... burnt out and broken for now. Your kit will help." Slipping closer to the gator that was attempting to support, she gestured out, eyes locked to the ceiling above. "Come on, we need to get out of here! Can only support this for so long, and then? Well... rescue would be grim." As much pushing as dragging the gator out of the way, she tried to pull them away... Out from where this might fall...

Ebreus rushes the group to where the collapse is. He takes just a moment to survey the situation as Otto begins to stabilize the tunnel with his own Nanomagics. "Don't worry, we're here to help." he says as he extends his upper pair of arms and begins to orchestrate the nanites to move the bits of collapsed tunnel off of the Gator as well as he can without compromising Ottos work to stabilize the tunnel. After Mokou gets him clear he takes a breath and turns to the Gator and slime, "Was anyone else here?"

As the tunnels are strengthened and the debris is cleared away, The Gator lets out a sigh of relief. "No...it was just us three" he says "Just...having some fun in our own private nook of this place." he says before looking over to the Frog Prince, who with Khaybat's help seems to start to awake, thought still rather woozy. "Thank you...if you hadn't came I fear this would of been our grave..."

Otto breathes a sigh of relief, then leans against one of the walls for a moment. He mutters something under his breath, the words unheard by anyone but him. He peers among the group and nods, then crouches down to check on the injured. He flashes both the girls a thankful smile, then looks back up from his crouched position towards Ebreus. "Well, that was... I expected worse." he shrugs "Once the ladies are done with the injured, what say we head back and finish our job, huh? This place is giving me the heebe jeebees."

Khaybat is just trying not to daydream about what the three might have been doing together. Luckily doing things other than staring at others helps keep the doe occupied enough to not start having impure thoughts. She continues using the medkit on the frog again and again until he finally wakes up!

Mokou let a quiet chuckle fall from her lips as she guided the Gator away, shaking her head. "Your grave? Six feet under you would be, but no such release you'd recieve there. Earth closing fast and wrapping about you and keeping you fast and close." She glanced upward for a moment, shaking her head at the sound, at their words. "Not a comfortable feeling... So just... be careful next time, okay? For everyone's sake." She flicked her tail, a wince running across her maw as she made haste. Otto's words rung true. It felt... wrong down here. Not... It felt wrong.

Ebreus breaths a sigh of relief when the Gator confirms they were the only ones here, "Glad to here eveyone's alive." he says looking over the Goo, Gator, and Frog. He smiles and says, "Good thing we came today. I'd hate to have seen what may have happened had we not been here." He nods to Otto and says, "Yeah, let's get back to the Queen and do our jobs now that the crisis is over." He then procedes to begin walking back out of the tunnel, stopping after a few feet and looks back, "Make sure this area gets marked as being dangerous and needing repairs." he says.

The Gator nods before going over to pick up the Frog Prince, who while groggy accepts the lift. "We will...was kinda odd that happened, but...We've been told the tunnels are really old so it could happen." he rumbles before nodding to Ebreus and heads to the exit. Reaching the entrance, they are hugged by the Goo Girl, happy to see them safe. She looked concerned at the Frog Prince, but she's calmed by the Gator who tells her they will take him to the Healers to rest. The job done, the group works their way back to the Queen's room. Smiling as she gets up agian she looks to them "Thank you for helping there" she says "Now then, what shall we begin about?" she asks.

Moving back into the main chamber, Otto was trailing behind the rest of the group, his paws in his pockets as he tries his best to shake the feeling of wrongness about this whole complex. He sighs deeply and watches the others enter before him. He nods at the queen in acknowledgement of her thanks, then takes a seat nearby and re-opens his laptop, integrates with the piece of equipment and commenses the data feed. He shoots the rest of his team a thumbs up and gets to it. By the looks of things, the canine could use a hug right now~ Khaybat ends up sitting down and waiting for the rest of the group to copy down the notes of the meeting meanwhile though she doesn't sem to notice her tail is wiggling again. It's just a natural deer thing!

The earth loomed close, surrounding them in ways that made Mokou quiver as she walked. Eyes peered and scoured the land, seeing the same shadows and same voices that sounded out earlier. She did not leave the group now... feeling... off. What on earth was this blasted... Eyes. Eyes in the dark. A few peered out, watching and looming as they entered the central chamber. Eyes in the dark that wondered and watched them as she settled down in... listening. It was too familiar. Too... too familiar. She reached out, a half hearted squeeze given to the one beside her, Otto subconsciously. A squeeze and a fearful smile... Before listening. Writing.

Ebreus returns to the Queens chamber with the group, "My apologies but, as I am sure you understand, I cannot stand for there to be suffering that I can end and then not end it." he says and then in response to her question he nods, "Let's start with your past. Last time we were here you said that you worked in the sewers before P-Day. What, if you remember it, was your specific job title and what were your responsibilities having that position?"

The Queen laughs "It is quite alright." she says "I am more than happy that you helped them out. I only wish the town was a little better at that aid..." she says with a minor sigh "But we are digressing. Before P-Day, I was a Maintenance officer for the stretch of tunnels that went from the south bend all the way up to the filtration plant resevoir. I was working down within the tunnels that day when all hell broke loose really...and was quickly overcome. Somehow though, I never truly lost my mind...and in time I used my knowledge and new strength to free myself of the choas down here." she says.

Otto sighs softly and leans against Mokou, one arm wrapping around her to place a paw on her waist and pull her in. He zones out from the words being spoken, his NICE registering the speech and his eyes recording the needed footage, but his mind? It was lost in snuggletown, the mayor of which was the lovely fennec at his side. This much was certain, alongside one more thing. "Can't wait to get out of here." he murmurs, so quietly that only Mokou's sensitive ears could pick up.

Ebreus nods, "Alright, sounds like your profession would require extensive knowledge of the underground in that range." he says. He takes a breath and uses the second or so to compose his thoughts before continuing, "As a maintenance officer what would you say the condition of the system in that range was when P-Day happened and as far as you're aware how much has it degraded in the years since?"

The Queen smiles "I would say most of the system is structurally sound as far as I can tell. This doesn't include the treatment plant which I don't have access to from down here. However..." the Queen continues as the two discuss the inner working, conditions and issues of the pipes as shes seen and she recalls. Her knowledge while wide, is taken with a note that whatever she knows is a decade old by know, but Zephyr knows such knowledge is good knowledge nonetheless. After about a half an hour of discussing, the talks complete, and the agents return to the surface. Returning to Milo, Otto and Mokou give the Armadillo the report, which he thanks them for and gives them their pay for it. With that, they are thanked and then dismissed on their way, a job well done.
