It was a nice clear sky today. Plenty of people have already gathered, especially near the refreshments table. To identify the organizors of the event, all the volunteers wore green shirts that had 'I am here to help, ask me!' on both the front and back. The head honcho himself was near the recruitment tables. The pudgy, short, middle-aged Alpha husky known as Giovanni Sabella was all smiles as he traded conversation and jokes with the people around him.

However, he was not the only aspiring politician here. Various other independents joined this fray in support of this effort, it was not a secret by now that the unaligned survivors were trying to take the reins of the government back from the Big Three, especially Z and RSX. That was not going to be easy, as politicians beholden to the two corporations also showed up in force, mainly keeping to themselves right now as their gazes threw daggers at Mr. Sabella. The Prometheans had their own separate delegation here, preaching support; however, skeptical minds do note that it is unlikely that they will unequivocally support a police force not influenced by their teachings.

Other than the invested parties, various mutants and survivors just came to watch the spectacle, people who just chanced the meeting or who do not know enough to form an opinion. Another oddity that can be noticed, are the armed guards standing around the edges of the gathering, a reasonable precaution given the recent attacks by the Old World Order.

The stage is set, and the players begin their moves. It is unlikely that the winner of this battle, will win the cold war for power, but it will certainly help.

Due to the close proximity to their station, and the topic of the event, it was no wonder why Vari Arak'Than, leader of the K9 Unit, was to be found on the grounds. After all, this was exactly what she wanted too, to instate an impartial police force, that was not swayed by any coorporation. The kemo kitsune in a police uniform walked straight up to the host, and bowed down politely, taking the beret off, holding it in front of her chest. "Thank you for hosting this event, Mister Sabella. I am sure you are aware, but let me introduce myself to you nonetheless. My name is Vari Fiona Arak'Than, leader of the K9 Unit. It is my pleasure." She offered a calm, professional smile. "If there is anything I or my Unit can do to help you, let me know." She looked over the crowd.

Razz pads along, letting out a sigh. Time to be on best behaviour... not piss of people and try not to get annoyed. The Jackal holds his arms behind his back as he surveys teh area, doing his best to look prefessional. Upon Stopping Vari the jacakl sighs slightly and heads towards her, Bowing to the husky When he Arrives. "Nice to see you, Boss. Hope thi goes well." he turns to eye the Rsx and Zephyr groups a moment. "Glad we're finally trying to move forwards, heres to hoping it goes well."

Marcoant stays in the tent drining what it seems to be water, looking with keen interest at the other mutants, trying to figure what they are thinkig and what are they going to do next.

Fenris is sort of here as a Promethean. But mostly he is here as a tanuki. The burly coon dog has stacked a paper plate high with goodies, (Along with the treats he slipped into his surprisingly small, and even more surprisingly capacious rucksack) and is wandering around the gathering. He is dressed in a bright yellow and orange robe, reminiscent of Buddhist monks, pre-P-Day. The Tanuki wanders up to the information table, looking over pamphlets and recruiting propaganda. His normal, pleasant smile turns into a full on grin when he sees Vari and Razz. "Hi!" he greets them, "Remember me? I submitted that application a few weeks ago? Hadn't heard anything, so I thought I would check out this new policing thing!"

One of the Zephyr agents around was Naiko. The short, almost completely robotic and sometimes friendly kemo kitsune with a peculiar taste for drones and other mechanical companions. She was dressed in her usual black and white synthetic labcoat, trying not to draw too much attention, however, it is a little difficult not to draw attention when you have a big Zephyr patch on your coat.

Naiko walked up to the host as well, following the other kitsune's example and bowing as she introduced herself. Her voice sounded partially synthetic, but gentle nevertheless. "Good afternoon, Sabella, yes? You can call me Naiko, it is a pleasure to meet you! I've taken interest in your efforts and I'd love to hear more about you later on. For the meantime, I'll meet the other guests."

Shortly after, she bows towards the familiar tanuki, Razz and Vari. "Ah, good afternoon to you too! I believe I remember some of you. Welcome to this little event."

Ebreus walks down the roat to the intersection where the stage for this town-hall type meeting is taking place. The Hellhound unable to help but smile as he wears the suit he'd gotten for such occurances and carrying a case filled with documents he'd been working on. Technically a Promethean Ebreus might support them... or see if he can get that the other way around. To that end he makes his way to the Promethean representative, a Latifa Halfpaw, to introduce himself, "Hello Ms Halfpaw. Nice to see you could make it to the meeting." he says as he extends a hand politely to her.

A feline woman with rosy-pink fur is taking the long way home on the way from the Zephyr building. Rosi has obviously been hard at work if the grease that stains her clothes and fur is anything to go by. Among all these politicians and cops, this blue-collar kitty sticks out like a sore thumb, and as she walks through the group her eyes dart back and forth and scan the crowd. Too many suits. Lots of police. Lots of armed guards. Very few familiar faces. And not a buffet table to be found, unless... "Oh." The first word Rosi has said at all since she's stumbled on this event, and barely a word at that. The cat makes a beeline for the refreshments.

Aaron decides to take position nice and close to the front, considering that's where the action will be. Of course, not TOO terribly close, considering the potential for the wrong kind of action. She makes note of anyone she might recognize, any political allies or enemies, as well as the guards and their armaments. Hopefully there will be no attacks, but if there are, she's going to lend a hand (clear upside someone's head if she has to). For now, she takes care to look decidedly neutral, showing no signs of being particularly for or against Sabella. If nothing else, she wants to hear what she has to say. The presence of Vari is encouraging - even if she's with someone the bunny doesn't recognize - and Fenris and Ebreus being there is even more comforting. These are people she knows, people she can count on in a pinch. These proceedings might be safer than the organizers even realize. As for the others, well. More agents is usually better, right?

The usual click-clack of heels is mostly drowned out by the murmur of the gathered crowd, allowing Chell to approach unnoticed until she gets to the buffet table. Snagging a small saucer and a few carrot slices, each eactly the same length, the executive smiles politely at an approaching supporter. "Before you ask," she lilts at the kangaroo morph, "...I'm not running this event and don't know when they will start."

The proceedings proceed normally so far, with plenty of mingling and haggard volunteers trying to maintain the refreshment table against the onslaught of hungry hordes.

As Vari approaches Sabella, another familiar figure leaves his presence. It would surprise no one to see Miru here and questioning the pudgy politician, but she is soon lost in the crowd again, at least a drone floating further above the scene indicates that she is still around here. Regardless, Sabella turns and grins at Vari as she arrives. "Ah, if it isn't the leader of the K9 unit. It is a pleasure meeting you, Doctor Arak'Than. I am honoured by your presence, and I thank you for your service." He said in a deep, jovial tone. The alpha husky glances Fenris before looking back at Vari, "I see you are busy right now. Do not worry, I do not require your help right now. I am pretty sure your friends from New Dawn do however. They are right there." Sabella adds as he points at the location of the Prommie delegation, "Regardless, I must attend other business now. If you would excuse me."

Halfpaw is speaking to some of her colleagues when Ebreus. "Greetings, child. Yes, it is an honour that my fellow Prometheans chose me to represent our people here. I hope our influence aids in the betterment of all of us." The kindly roseander says with a motherly tone.

All in all, things are still going slow. More people are arriving, especially young, post P-day children fascinated by the idea of joining a 'police force'.

Vari nodded to the husky as he left. Turning to Razz, she chuckled. "Well, I don't think we will meet that many issues. The big three will be mad, of course, but I think most of the citizens here ire agreeing that we need a police to keep things in check, and that they should be not in the pockets of any of the coorporations." With Fenris approaching them, the kitsune turned to them. "I am sorry about that, but things have been a bit interesting for us the last few weeks, what with the talks of a new government, the continued effort in trying to gain hold on the Old World Order, and now this. We aren't even sure if we will actually be a police force after this, if people deem us unqualified." Vari smiled. "So I figured it would be in our both interests if we waited until after things of this sort have settled down, and we can be sure of the way things are headed."

Razz nods to Vari. "Yeah.. Time will tell, eh?" he glances at Fenris and nods "What Vari said, we didnt wnat to waste your time." he smiles at the 'nuki and looks around. "I didn realise we were associated with the Prommies?" he glances at Vari. "Or is that old issues from back when james was lead?"

Marcoant starts to walk around the area trying to get a better angle, finally he decides to climb the pharmacy hopping no one notice what he is doing to, when he is at the top he starts to analyze the area to know what to do if something goes wrong and searching for suspicious mutants.

Fenris sucks a cocktail sausage off of its little toothpick and waves a pudgy hand. "Oh, yeah," he says, "No worries. I'm not in any hurry. I just figured, since I'm trying to keep things all civilized like Lord Tanuki wants, I might as well get a uniform out of it, right? I like uniforms." The burly tanuki looks a little disappointed when Sabella leaves without speaking to him. "Darn," he frowns, though the unusual facial expression does not linger on his round face, "I was hoping to get a little recognition with Sabella. If this police thing goes through, he might be making the decisions. I'll just have to try and catch him later. There were sign-ups around here somewhere, right?" He looks off after the departing Husky, hoping that he might still manage to slip in between hand kissing and baby shaking. Or something like that.

As Naiko further approached the other kitsune's group, she added with a faint smile, "By all means, I don't think 'the big three' will be too mad. They might be mildly disappointed, but not mad. Still, you have done a great job, miss. And I'm willing to pitch in my efforts to help the populace in any means necessary. I've been patrolling Fairhaven, but the old world order requires a little.. Touch." She attempted to then turn back towards Fenris and Razz in order to properly greet them, not before her head twitched back nearly a centimeter, whirring. "Pardon me. Edwards Air Force Base, ring any bells?" The kitsune robot gently smiles towards the tanuki. We can catch up later if you wish to go after Mr. Sabella. I'm sure he's not going to run off anywhere." She said, looking around in the general direction of the crowd for a moment.

Ebreus nods as Ms Halfpaw explains what an honor it was to be chosen as the representative for the Prometheans. He smiles warmly and replies, "It is an honor I believe you are well suited for. I think with a bit of work we may be able to build a government good for all of the people of Fairhaven." As he finished his keen ears pick up on the sound of climbing and he discreetly glances to Marcoant. At this time the sound of Ebreus' voice could be heard playing in his head while Ebreus looks away, 'Hello there. Might I ask why you need such a vantage point?' The telepathic message is followed by Ebreus' comm number so that he may reply.

The rosy-furred feline doesn't seem all that bothered by the lack of attention paid to her at this party. As a matter of fact, she seems perfectly happy being a wallflower. A fancy bread-and-salmon hor d'oeuvre and a plastic cup of water and she's content. The noise doesn't seem overwhelming either, which at the very least does make this a more pleasant afternoon. As she chews on her snack, Rosi starts making a who's who list in her head. Miss Halfpaw she recognizes. There's the husky man who must be throwing this event judging by the crowd gathered around him. A few other vaguely familiar faces. That's about it. So she makes her way over to the closest important-looking person, which just happens to be Chell.

Aaron furrows her brow, holding her position for the time being. Things are happening around her, and that's perfectly fine...it means she's probably going relatively unnoticed, which - while admittedly slightly galling - is probably a good thing in the end. This way, she can watch in relative anonymity and gain some perspective that might elude others. Hey, it worked in the OWO rally. Er, sort of. And maybe if he comes out to greet the crowd, she'll get to meet him face-to-face!

Chell smiles politely at the rose-furred feline, pausing with a carrot stick partway to her lips. "This is going to turn out to be some gathering," Chell says not exactly to Rosi, but not talking through her either. "P'raps someone will say something new, something inspiring, something..." the executive trails off, searching for a word while twirling the carrot stick. "...something more than empty promises and double speak." The carrot returns to her plate, neatly arranged with the others in a row. "One must wait and see."

Sabella have disappeared by being surrounded by more people, so not really disappeared. Halfpaw nods at Ebreus, "Thank you for your kind word. Now excuse me, I need to discuss something with my colleagues." With that, the flower lady turns around. Suddenly, most cmmunits start beeping...and the Prometheans announce the severing of ties with the K9s. The RSX and Z lobbies both jump into activity as they begin discussing the implications and trying to perform damage control to recover some of their arguments against the independent police force. The independent politicians appear more calm, still caught by surprise, but some of them are just glad due to the announcement. The Promethean delegation remains calm, some of its members looking almost smug at the political chaos that is occurring in front of them. Looks like things will take a bit to recover and go back on track.

Fenris purses his lips in though. "Airforce base?" he muses, "Nope! Your going to have to remind me. Were there vampires? Or was that the one with the spear rabbits?" The big tanuki grins sheepishly. "I kinda get around a lot and I have a terrible memory for names."

Vari had to laugh at the Promethean announcement. "As if on cue!" The kitsune smirked at Razz. "Well, I think these problems have all been cleared up now anyways. Maybe this will make us more presentable now." She looked over the crowd, the politicians scrambling around to get better arguments now that one big driving force was eliminated. When Naiko approached them, Vari nodded. "Hmm, I heard of the place, but haven't had any interaction with it. So I can't say I am familiar with you, either. But you seem to know me."

Aaron raises a brow at the announcement. Okay, there's something you don't hear every day. Okay, so the K9s are no longer aligned with anybody. This has implications in all sorts of directions...and, predictably, people are flipping their shit about it. A brief nod of the bunny's head follows the formation of a plan of action: she needs to speak to Vari, who will undoubtedly know what's going on. Forging her way through the crowd - as gently as possible, but by force if necessary - she begins to make her way over to Vari, heedless of the others for the moment. Giovanni will wait.

Rosi perks her ears at the ensuing buzz of activity. Casually the feline leans back against the buffet table, peering out into the crowd as she watches all the suits milling about and trying to figure out what just happened. "Politicians, lawyers, business types... none of them ever actually say anything worthwhile." She seems to be answering Chell's statement with her own, but she doesn't actually look the other woman in the eye. Instead she glances out of the corner of her eye and sizes the seemingly human Chell up.

Razz blinks and rubs his head, at the announcement. "huh.. so.. the paperwork finally went through.. or.. you were waiting till now to get it submitted?" he glances to Vari, grinning. "nice move, though... i think.." he chuckles and nods to Aaron as she comes over. "looks like you've made many people confuised now, Vari.." he chuckles again and shrugs "It was a long time coming though!"

Marcoant Go to the farthest cornen and get outs of his backpack what a first glance is a big pack of food, he starts to 'play' with the food and eating very slowly.

"My, my, right place, right time." Naiko adds, towards the annoncement. "Vampires?" She chuckles, "No no no, only the military remnants with a supply issue and a very energetic flying... pony thing. I do remember your badge though, Chubbs." She laughs again yet again. "Anyway, Miss Vari, I've only heard of some of your exploits, but It's a pleasure to meet you in person, for certain. I believe you should drink some water first, because I'm sure many politicians and supporters will be asking you questions for weeks."

Chell reacts to the announcement calmly, adjusting her glasses with he left hand while replying softly to the nearby feline. "While this is true what you say, the recent announcement should sway things in interesting ways." A smile finds her lips again, and she turns to face Rosi now. "A few things that were assured mere moments ago now have no basis in reality. Basically who watches the watchers, Miss..." again Chell trails off, waiting for the feline to respond.

Ebreus nods as Ms Halfpaw excuses herself just before the chaos of the anouncement is made. He manages to keep quiet as he looks over the chaos but not to suppress the grin on his face. He makes his way over to Vari and the K9 he is unfamiliar with as discreetly as an 11ft tall Hellhound in a clean and pressed suit can. He listens for Marcoant to reply to him but as no reply comes he instead says, "Hello again Dr. Arak'Than. I must say that was rather fortuitus timing judging by the response."

"Jacqueline Rosewater." The feline extends a surprisingly manicured hand to the woman as she turns her head to face her. "But I go by Rosi. General contractor, handycat, occasional hired gun." Rosi's smile suggests a possible refinement to her that her outer appearance sorely lacks. "Pleasure to meet you, Miss..." Following Chell's lead, she trails off and allows the human to answer.

Vari laughed once again. "Well, to be fair. It wasn't me, that made that announcement. But I sure am happy that the Prometheans agreed to do it. Because this will leave an impression with everyone gathered here." The kitsune was clearly enjoying this situation. And now with more and more people approaching her, she knew that the effect was just as big as hoped. She nodded to Ebreus. "Well, you can't really make a good argument for your cause, when there is still doubt about your integrity." And finally with the bunny approaching, Vari smiled. "After all, I still have to fulfill my part of a promise I made."

Shifting the saucer to her empty left hand, the human shakes Rosi's with her right. "Chell. Just Chell. Nice to meet you Miss Rosewater." Retracting her hand Chell swaps the saucer back again. "And as a general contractor, how do you see this dog and pony show that's going on here? Or have you just been caught up in the curiosity of the supposed new government and policing?"

Aaron smiles when she sees Vari doing likewise. Good, even that tells her something: this isn't a disaster or something that caught the head of the K9s by surprise. This is, at least ostensibly, a good thing. A fist is extended, for purpose of bumping if Vari should be willing. "So! Fun day so far." she observes. "The man of the hour is nowhere to be found, RSX and Z are in a tizzy, and the Prommies are drinking it up like fine wine. So, level with me: how much of this did you know about in advance, and to what degree did you come to see people squirm?" A broad grin follows.

"Oh! Yes!" Fenris says, "I remember! I like that badge. I have a few others too!" The tanuki munches happily on his tray of snacks.

"Politics was never my strong point, I'm afraid." Rosi finishes off the lox-and-bruschetta snack she'd been nibbling at. "But I do know one thing for sure, I'd rather not have any one company in power if it can be helped. 'Specially not those Woodfield mercenaries. Pretty much any arrangement that's not letting them run rampant over the policing is fine by me."

Vari elegantly yips, "To be honest? I wasn't sure if this would be happening at all this early." Vari exclaimed. "I was already preparing to make public appearances for weeks. And, judging by mister Sabellas first reaction towards me, I wouldn't have been mistaken in thinking this." Vari said, grinning, adjusting her glasses. "But I think the Prometheans do get something out of this, as well." Vari said, closing her eyes for a bit. "After all, this doesn't affect them heavily, since we only were loosely affiliated with them after I took over the unit. Cooperating in the treatment of ferals. This really is more affecting the other companies as a whole, since they now have lost a weapon in their arguments. But I do must admit. Seeing the suits hustle for new arguments is pretty fun." She leaned back, against a table, her tails fanning out."

Razz sighs and glances to Vari "I feel bad for leaving you here alone, but i must go... I have things to tend to and as much as i'd like to represnt our image.. Someone needs to keep teh streets safe and help others." he nods to her. "hope it goes well, Boss." The jacakl then turns to leave, grumbling to hismelf ever so quietly.

Ebreus nods as Dr. Vari Arak-Than mentions that the change in affiliations was made for prescicely the right reason, at least as far as Ebreus is concerned, "Yes, maintaining your integrety will be extremely important... especially if any of the survivors present payed any real attention to the politics that was around preP-Day." he says. He takes a breath and continues, "I think we can all see each of the Big Three wants the new government not-neutral in their favor and the other two won't accept that." He looks out over the crowd then back to the K9s, "I'm glad to see this move that will make it easier for us to have good police."

Marcoant He eats vigorously his pack of food, then save the package again in his backpack and starts to climb off the pharmacy

Chell does one of those polite chuckles at a joke that's not really funny or not really meant to be funny. "No, no no. While I have a certain fondness for those that go out and put themselves in danger for my personal safety, I do appreciate that there is a structure to RSX agents and even my own Zephyr agents." Her gaze moves out over the crowd, and she gives a subtle elbow nudge to Rosi. "What makes life bearable is structure. Order. Accountability. Without those things, there's chaos. And with chaos, there's less and less time to enjoy a well-made shirt or a great massage."

Rosi frowns as she looks out over the throngs of gathering suits, then back to Chell. "Accountability I can certainly agree with. People in power need to be kept in line even more than us common folk, I believe." Her tail lashes back and forth, annoyed. Seems all the noise of the event is getting to her. "But I've always found structure stifling. Better to keep yourself loose and ready for anything than to make detailed plans and watch them all unravel." The feline gestures vaguely to the drama unfolding. "Case in point."

Aaron chuckles faintly as she settles in beside Vari. "Completely fair." she answers in a calm tone. "Honestly, on a functional level, I can't imagine this changes a whole lot for K9s. Based on my understanding, you were mostly affiliated in name alone." Her brow furrows as Mr. Sabella is mentioned, and she adds, "Somebody should be looking after him, making sure nobody takes advantage of all the chaos to get rid of a political rival. Is anyone doing that?" This said, she regards Vari for an answer, even if it's one the offer might not actually have.

Marcoant after climbing down starts walk in the are without focusing on anything and just trying to see if he can catch valuable informacion to use later, or at least learn how to talk with other people in a normal way.

"It's part of the politician nature. Talk, talk and talk." Naiko sighs heavily, "Still, Lady Chell is right, if we want to bring something close to a proper democracy back then all this talk is inherently part of the show. What concerns me, however, is the old world order situation. I've.. Analyzed some of their presented material and they seem to thread dangerously close to fascism. Silver Legion fascism, even." Naiko's tails brush up against a passing supporter, who looks down at her with a confused expression. Her ears twitch a little in an unnatural manner, seemingly glitching and whirring a little. For that, she apologizes once again. "Ahem, pardon me. I haven't been too stable." She turns towards Aaron, slowly recognizing her from a previous chat. "Oh. Hey there lady! How're you and Maxwell doing?"

With a nod, Vari looked at Razz. "That is alright with me. I can handle this here on my own. I got good company, anyways." She said. "So you are excused. Just remember to put a report on my desk once your done with your Patrol. After all, we still are looking into the OWO, and any hints could be useful."

After that, she turned back to Ebreus. "Well, being a good police is on the ones that will get this position. And those have to work hard to do so. Making the streets safe is a colossal task, one that even we will have a hard time with."

Lastly, the Kitsune was adressing Aaron's concerns. "Yes, mister Sabella has put up guards in the vicinity. Of course, i have my own officers here as well, seeing as the station is right here. And you are right. We were only affiliated in name. I have cut ties a long time ago. It was just that there was no need for us to actually change our affiliation before now. Still, Naiko is right too. We are still looking into the Old World Order, but it's hard to get a grasp on them."

As the situation slightly calms down, a tall kemo-husky clad in a pantsuits gets on the stage. The amazonian women smiles, "Fellow citizens, allow me to welcome you all to the this meeting. Mr. Sabella is glad that all of you could make it here, and we are certain that with our work together today we can sow the seeds of a strong, independent government. Away from the clutches of the factions." With her little message said, the husky looks around, awaiting everyone to calm down before the event begins.

Fenris flits his attention from one conversation to the next, polishing off his tray of snacks with brutal efficiency before waylaying one of the t-shirt marked volunteers to help relieve them of some of their edible burdens. Then he turns his attention to the stage, wondering if maybe he should have dressed differently.

Aaron mmmns. "It's never going to be easy to handle the OWO." she answers in a thoughtful tone. "So long as we stay on the reactive side of handling them, we're always going to be a step behind. If you ask me-" And then there is conversation. Official-sounding conversation. Mention of Sabella's name from someone she *doesn't* know. This prompts her to move her thumb and pinky finger in the usual 'call me!' gesture toward Vari before retaking her place amongst the crowd, only her tall ears making her visible at all. Naiko gets a quick nod as well, but the doe is on a mission, albeit one she assigned herself.

Marcoant While he was distracted he catch a conversation that caught his interest, it was from a group of Prometheans and he just go there and start talking about how were they lifes before the P-day and if they would like to change to humans or be free for nanites, nearly all disagrees with the idea so he just say goodbye an leave

Chell snickers. "That certainly is an understandable position to take, but I am sure with enough dicipline, even the most unruly can find solace in structure." Her hand waves and she dismisses that thought. "Nevermind that for now, Miss Rosewater. I do believe that given time..." Chell quiets down once the woman starts to speak.

Rosi turns her attention to the woman on the stage. Her imposing presence does certainly make the cat raise an eyebrow, but surely this is neither the time nor place. "Note to self, ask for her comm number..." She whispers under her breath.

Ebreus nods as Aaron suggests it'd be best to keep an eye on Sabella. "Yes, it is a big task trying to make the streets safe and then getting recognition for it. Glad to here your investigating the OWO. Leaving them to their own devices would most assuredly be ill advised when trying to move forward." He nods to Aaron, "We are going to have to act at some point though doing so too soon or in a way they've prepared for likely won't help us." he replies. As the presentation begins Ebreus turns his attention to the podium.

Once the announcement is made, the swarm of people around Sabella begins to dissipate, allowing the Alpha husky to move towards the stage. The other lobbies and delegations have also slowly went quiet as they looked towards the stage, that did not stop the corporate aides to keep bringing their representing politicians more papers to look at.

On Giovanni's end, the rotund canine with as jovial as always. He quickly got on stage without any kind of ceremony. Quickly hushing any attempt at an applause with a frantic wave from his arm. The besuited husky took off his jacket and gave it to an aide, trying to look more humble perhaps? With a grin, he looks around the place one more time before taking a deep breath. "Hello there, friends! I hope all of you are well. And enjoying yourselves. I hope that you like the work of the chefs as well. I certainly did, as well as some of you I am sure." He said as he winked at the tanuki in the crowd. "But enough chatter, and no need for flowery language. My goal for this meeting is clear. We need a police force to protect the civilians in this society we are rebuilding, whether from criminals or external threats. And people like me believe that this police force should be independent. The K9s have done an admirable job...and now that the Prometheans are cutting all ties with them, I and many others will be glad to have them help us in this new effort."

Some portions of the crowd cheer at this declaration, mostly independents and some Prommies, and a good portion of the civilians. "Preposterous!!" A strong bellowing voice says as a rather tall human, almost seven feet, moves through the RSX lobby towards the front of the stage. "You want us to hand over to job of protection the main city in the new government to you and a bunch of barely trained police force? RSX has been protecting civilians in Woodfield for years now! Your attempts at sidelining us will bring nothing but an undisciplined police force that will crumble within weeks once the Old World Orders decides to swipe you away!"

Vari looked at the human, stepping up herself. "Preposterous, you say. How can an act of this type be preposterous. We are trying our all to help the citizens of Fairhaven, just as you do." Her voice was calm, yet held all the authority needed for a woman in her position. "And who is talking about sidelining? What is so sidelining about wanting to install an impartial force? Doesn't that only bolster the integrity of such a group? Isn't it important for the safety of everyone, when such a force is in noone's pockets?" The kemo kitsune shook her head. "Our one goal is the safety of the citizens. As should yours. And we are by no means undisciplined. because we do have experienced people working for us, veterans or former policemen. We have promising youths, that are giving it their all in their training. Is it in any way different from what you can offer?" The kistune smiled. "So, why are you against this idea?"

Marcoant looks at Richardson trying to record in his memory his face to remember whit who he should ally in the future, with nothing to saye he look at nothing only concentrating on what the rest says.

Fenris jovially waves a canape from his hijacked plate of goodies at Giovanni's wink. He is not much of a cheerer, but he nods his approval to the announcement of an independant police force. The tanuki is not particularly surprised by the bluster from the RSX representative. There is probably something in his commission about being generally against anything new. Probably next to the requirement for manly facial hair. There must be something about mustaches in those officer commissions, right? "RSX has never cared about Fairhaven before," he says, more to whoever is nearby than to the crowd at large, "Why do they care now?" He pauses for a moment, chewing thoughtfully, "What does RSX stand for, anyway?"

Naiko nodded back towards Vari and Aaron before she turned towards the stage, listening to the kilohertz- Ahem, sweet sound of official conversation. Her ears twitched again, naturally this time as she heard the tall human's outcry. She turned away from the kitsune's group again, gently and quietly adding. "Please excuse me for a moment." And proceeded to walk into the crowd, attempting to get closer to the human in order to properly analyze him. Her short height would probably prove useful in this little endeavour.

Ebreus allauds Giovanni Sabella's delcaration and idly scans the crowd for the largest pockets of malcontents with the announcement. As Lt. Richardson interrupts the thusfar reasonably orderly procedes of the event Ebreus moves through the crowd so that should it be necessary he can deny Richardson unwarrented access to the stage. He holds a neutreal expression as his crimson glowing eyes tract the formor Marine.

Rosi just stays silent through all of this. The rising tension leaves her in a foul mood, as her ears pin back and she clutches at something underneath her hoodie almost reflexively. But when she realizes that her fight-or-flight reaction is running away from her, her hand falls away and leaves her looking at everyone suspiciously, especially the man who had interrupted Sabella's speech.

Aaron peers at the man who spoke up. "Hey, fucko." she calls out, rather candidly. "Rather than whine about the K9s not protecting your ass in the particular way you would prefer, how about thanking them for protecting it at all, /like they have been this entire time/?" She is not being at all subtle about her opinion of the man, much like he is not being subtle about his opinion of the K9s. "But hey, we could always look to RSX and all the work they've been doing to protect Fairhaven /oh wait/."

Chell comments mostly to Rosi and herself after the outburst about RSX. "Sounds like the man has the beginning of a point, but loses it there in the end." Chell looks down at the plate of carrots. "Though the prep cook probably deserves a good bit of praise. Uniformity is nice on the vegetables," she comments.

Sabella gazes on the crowd and grins, "Now, now friends. No need for all of us to get worked up. Everyone stay where you are and let us discuss this like civilized men." No one really stops Naiko as she begins moving, but Ebreus receives a lot of groans of protest and offended 'Heys' and less polite statements.

Richardson glares at his detractors, "RSX has been doing a lot to its own survivors, and we helped in the rebuilding effort when Zephyr decided to just stop supplying the volunteers!" This statement raises the ire of some Zephyr supporters, but they could only muster grumbled protests, no one wanted to really talk back to the angry marine. "A lot of us have fought for this land even before P-day, and this attem...." The human attempts to continues as he is interrupted with a loud 'Enough!'

The word came from none other than Giovanni, "Yes, yes. We get it, but what you do not get, Richardson, is that the people of Fairhaven never cared for you in the first place, your company always disliked dealing with us until a few years ago, and now you expect us to thank you for deciding that we are not all animals? You do not need me to tell you this, look at all those citizens and agents staring at you. My sincerest apologies to you, but the fact of the matter is your company move is too late, we are moving forward before you can bring your resources to bear here." The husky says before a wide grin covers his face.

If a gaze could kill, then Richardson would have killed everyone on stage right now. "Now are there any other questions or things any of you want to bring up?" Sabella says as he regards the crowd."

The kitsune with the white hair leaned back against the table. "All I wanna have the people know, is that we will continue to serve the public of Fairhaven." Vari then closed her eyes agaio. "In that regard, I'd like to offer my cooperation in whatever is decided here today." Her ears twitched, and Vari tried to focus on something she wasn't sure if it just occurred. With nimble fingers, she sent a message to the officers in the vicinity.

Marcoant raising a hand and says "I think it's normal for someone as uncivilized as Giovanni that only is the owner of a bar to not know all that RSX does good, if you would read a bit more you can easily understand why is better for us that RSX be the police force of Fairhaven and Woodfield" after saying this he lowers his hand and sit down.

Leaf and Bells! Now THIS is entertainment! Fenris could almost wish for popcorn, but another canape will do just as well. The tanuki very nearly laughs out loud at the furious Richardson and the husky. "At least we know what the bartender is serving up!" he calls out. It seems like he is about to say more, but he is suddenly distracted by something. Fenris's ear twitches as he looks off down the street, away from the gathering. ". . . and called it macaroni?" he mutters under his breath, tilting his head as if to hear better. He turns away from the stage, his contented little smile fixed on his round face as he quietly reaches up to remove a pair of glittering studs from his leaf-shaped ears.

As the one currently closest to Richardson, Naiko attempts to scan the man, looking for any peculiar devices, weapons or anything he might have on him. If anything, it was an attempt to prevent a conflict to escalate. After him, she would focus on other nearby malcontents.

Ebreus keeps his eyes on Lt. Richardson as he walks off. He takes a deep breath and as Vari chimes in with support of the descision to be made here today. As Richardson withdraws he clears his throat and says, "I would note, Leutenant Richardson, that when concerns of training came up before P-Day the proper response was to ensure that the training be administered was improved not have some other organization do it. I'm sure all of us who were around before P-Day apreciate your service in the Marine Corps. Now if it is you're concern that the K9s couldn't handle the domestic threats to Fairhaven wouldn't it be best for everyone for you to work with Dr. Arak-Than to ensure their training is good? At the very least they're here now and RSX needs some time to move."

Rosi turns one of her ears in the direction of what appears to be a faint sound of someone talking far away, though she can't quite make out the words. She puts that to the back of her mind for now though and looks up at the stage with a somewhat relieved expression. "I know I said politicians were all talk, but his talk seemed pretty forceful to me. Color me impressed." She turns to Chell and waits to see her reaction.

Aaron chimes in, "Don't get me wrong. If RSX wants to get in on some of this Fairhaven action - ten years after the apocalypse, after we're already making leaps and bounds - welcome aboard. I'm pretty sure you can make a valuable contribution to the cause." She offers Richardson her sweetest smile, putting on her best 'adorable bunny' look. "What I'm not okay with is you walking into town with your dicks in your hands and complaining that you wanna play the cops this time. The K9s were here before you, simply put, and they've been doing a bang-up job keeping our asses safe. Now, you wanna play ball? Let's play ball. Fantastic idea. The more the merrier. But RSX doesn't own us and isn't going to. /Get used to the idea./" In a slightly more even voice, she continues, "If it makes you feel any better, Z doesn't own us either. We're aiming to be free and self-reliant, not choose which master we have." Hands on her hips, she seems pretty firm on the topic.

Chell doesn't seem to be concerned or impressed as she observes the crowd and the back-and-forth with the speakers. "I don't believe that anyone here has really thought any of this through. Though with the recent announcement, who can blame them." She gestures towards the other boistrous person, making sure to keep her voice low. "On one hand you have the supporters of the K9 police who seem to be adamant that the K9s won't suddenly flip out and murder everything in sight." A turn to the original outburster is next. "Then you have guys like this who sees slight civil unrest as a chance to expand and advance. Neither side has convinced me that there's no ulterior motives involved. I'm still of the 'wait and see' mode here."

Richardson was done talking it seems as he went back into the midst of his colleagues. Giovanni on the other hand smiled, "My sincerest apologies, Richardson, but fact of the matter is we do not require your help." The husky quirks a brow at Ebreus's suggestion, "I do not think we want trainers from RSX, or equipment from Zephyr either. That's the entire point. The new police force should be provided by the people it protects, not some self-interested group. The K9s have already started that effort, I have heard about them getting their own freelance experts, and even their own supplies." Sabella says with a nod.

The rotund husky then looks at Marcoant and grins. "Uncivilized because I owned a bar after P-day? Good sir, that is uncalled for. I assure you some of us read enough about corporate lobbying to not want them regardless of their expertise." By now the crowd have went more silent, the Zephyr delegation seemed agitated, but none of them dared to speak given how there has been no voices decrying Sabella, and certainly no voices aiding them.

"Right, we already have had a lot of volunteers who want to join this new force. I guess most of us agree that we can let the K9s lead in this effort while we provide independent overseers to monitor their progress?"

Ebreus rolls his eyes as Giovanni Sabella proves to be less politically astute then anticipated. His ears flick as he catches the sound of drums... Yankee Doodle... of course the Old World Order would show up. Ebreus takes a deep breath and smiles. He relays.

Of course this notion would earn a nod from Vari. "In return we promise to continue to do the utmost in our efforts to keep the citizens safe. We..." There was the sound again. This time it was easier to pinpoint, as it seemed it was approaching. Once more Vari used her comm unit, to send out a message to all of the officers in the vicinity, and at the same time receiving messages. Vari nodded, and motioned to two officers, telling them something. "At any rate, as I was saying..." She continued afterwards, as the officers left. "We will of course welcome the help of others, as long as that help is voluntarily, and not just to try to sway us in any way. because I can assure you right now, that will not work with me."

Marcoant again raises a hand and says "The fact isn't if you read or not, you can easily read all the day and still be uncivilized, what matter of reading is understad what the books tries to transmitir and evaluate if the message of the book is valuable or not" Marcoants clear his throat and keeps saying "The security of this area is a clear exaple that none of the 2 factions here or K9 are capable of making security protocols, they can't even organize themselves into something that implies the security of those present here, anyone could easily break their defences and enter here and plant bombs or something else killing dozens of people.

When considering who is more capable to be the police, don't think here is more charming or more atractive, but instead of who is better to save the life of the rest of mutants and always remeber that experience is nothing without efficiency."

Fenris slowly grows. Gaining more than two feet in height and considerably more bulk. The people near him on the edges of the crowd will find themselves suddenly crowded by the growing tanuki. Fortunately, his clothes seem to grow with him.

This little bit of nanite fueled theatrics gains Fenris both a better vantage point for the stage, and makes him an effective wall for anything or anyone coming this way.

"So," Fenris asks, waving a ham-sized hand at the stage, "How does a tanuki get involved with these shenanigans?" The tanuki's ears swivel about, still on the alert, though his fat tail bobs about calmly. He turns a grin on Marcoant. "Nobody is as civilized as a tanuki," he affirms with all the confidence a seven foot tall raccoon dog can muster.

The robot kitsune hurried back to the tanuki, Vari and the others as she heard the familiar melody. One she celebrated for years and years before P-day. Yet, this time there was something that left her uneasy. The patriot question, if one could ever call the responsible, a patriot. "I can't signal my drones." Muttered the now alert kitsune, looking worried. While she reconstruct her form in order to defend herself an others if there was an emergency, for now, she merely stood alert, gazing into the distance and awaiting. Her presence, however, now felt a lot more static.

Through all the bluster and the corporate dick-waving, Rosi seems to shrink away from the stage. There's nothing to immediately suggest that an incident is imminent, but the fact that all the security forces seem to be on pins and needles means that by necessity the feline woman must also be. Her eyes scan the crowd, looking for potential problem people. "The hell is going on out there..." She mutters under her breath as her tail flicks.

Ebreus rolls his eyes as Giovanni Sabella proves to be less politically astute then anticipated. His ears flick as he catches the sound of drums... Yankee Doodle... of course the Old World Order would show up. Ebreus takes a deep breath and smiles. He relays, 'You hear that? Yankee Doodle on drums. Old World Order's MO isn't it?' to Vari, Aaron, and Fenris, making sure they're aware that there mayb be party-crashers. He turns his attention to Marcoant for a few moments as he seems sorely mistaken the nature of the security here. He moves to one side of the crowd so they won't be in his way should fighting break out.

Aaron asides to Marcoant, "Yep. And they could do it to RSX HQ, too. Welcome to the real world, where actual total safety is little more than a myth." With that said, she looks up to Giovanni and notes, "A government of the people, by the people, and for the people, huh?" There's a concept that might ring a few bells among those present. She does ear-perk slightly at the sound of something in the distance, but is quick to shake her head and return to the matter at hand. "I'd like a chat with you at some point." she advises Giovanni, before falling silent once more. She's already reached her quote for disruptive behavior at this gathering and bust through it like a furry Kool-Aid Man. Woman. Whatever. She'll let the others fight amongst themselves, now that the offer has been made; something else has her attention divided, and she slowly tries to ease herself out of the crowd toward the noise. Ebreus will get a quick nod, but she isn't about to stop moving.

"Beats me, Miss Rosewater." Chell comments. But she does elbow the catgirl. "All in all I think it is time I took my leave." Chell passes over contact details, and readjusts her glasses. "Tell me how this thing ends. We'll get some breakfast or whatever meal is time-appropriate." Chell glances at the further outbursts. "I can't run in these heels, so I'll make my way slowly now to beat the traffic as they say. Good day."

"I wouldn't worry about all the noise too much. Because very unlike how that one person..." Vari said, looking at Marcoant while continuing, "...wants to make us out to be, I do have prepared security in advance. And my men have reported to me, that the people approaching us are not looking like ready for a battle. While I am willing to bet that they are here to stir some kind of commotion, I reckon it will not go beyond a verbal quarrel. Which of course is normal for these types of events." The kitsune leaned back. "The OWO is contrarian, but not stupid. They know that causing too much of a ruckus, especially with violent activities, now would only hurt their own agenda. Which is why it is so hard to actually get them."

Sabella looks back at Vari, "Of course, and I am certain that we can secure supplies that the people control." He said with a knowing grin. "I am pretty sure that the citizens will be happy to support those who protect them. Tha..." It is Sabella's turn to be interrupted as the voice of fife and drums gets louder for most people to hear. The husky looks into the distance beyond the crowd.

"Minutemen!" Shouts one of the guards as she, and others, rush towards the direction they are coming from, right behind the crowd. Members in the crowd grow concerned, and people begin moving away nervously. "Keep calm, dear friends. If this was an attack they would be make it so clear to us. Maybe they came to negotiate." Sabella said with his iconic grin, the made might die if he stops grinning it seems. His words does soothe the crowd a bit, but it is not stopping them from moving away from the firing line, with some of the civilians and the Zephyr delegation leaving.

In the distance, most can now see the Minutemen approaching, and they look like they are going to an American Revolution enactment. The Minutemen were clad in Revolutionary uniforms, standing four abreast. There must have been about thirty of them, most holding musical instruments, with the middle two rows holding laser rifles. Leading this parade was a commander that would be recognizable from the last raid, at least some K9 officers would have definitely already written report about him. Commander Quincy was leading his men - A fancy officer uniform, a magnificent beard and mustache that oozed 'Southern Gentleman', head held high, and his sabre resting on his shoulder. Say what you will about the OWO, they are certainly good when it comes to dressing.

It would surprise no one that the entire 'regiment' was human. The men and women were proudly singing along as they moved closer to the meeting. 'And every time they shoot it off, It takes a horn of powder; It makes a noise like father's gun, Only a nation louder...'

Marcoant Raises a hand again and starts to talk "It's interesting how they 'advanced' security is used on people that they say aren't willing to fight, this is another example of how little capable they are, they cant even detect that they have music instrument only at a distance of 1000 meters, that is enough for a sniper to be cappable of killing someone here, and yes, so far it has not done safe areas, but that is because they have not tried to do it, i'm sure that if they are willing to protect fairhaven they will do a excelent job."

"I am sure that anyone who wants to is welcome to come and listen," Fenris says pleasantly, as he is given warnings by various, attentive agents. The burly tanuki saunters toward the side of the crowd where the Minutemen are approaching. He has not drawn a weapon, but instead carries a large tray of commandeered goodies.

"I'm worried." Spoke Naiko, not too loud but loud enough for the small group around her to hear, which included Fenris, Vari and Aaron. "If they're coming to make any speeches about the way they want their 'great nation' to be, I'm going to end up vomiting. And I'm pretty sure I shouldn't even be able to, at this point." She added, crossing her arms, ears swiftly at attention as she awaited for them to approach.

Marcoant

Ebreus look back out over the crowd scanning for signs of panic but is seems Giovanni Sabella did in fact possess one of the skills useful for both polititions and bartenders, the ability to make people feel at ease... though anyone sufficienty wealthy could buy that from Zephyr. He spies Lt. Richardson amungst the RSX delegation and not having slunk off somewhere with the OWO aproaching he returns his attention to the aproaching regiment of Humans. Ebreus takes a few steps out from the crowd and watches the Minutement, and especially Commander Quincy, as they aproach. Once he's decided they've come far enough he decides to play greeter. "Greetings Americanists. Come to hear the news about the K9 Police?" he says with a small amount of warmth in his voice and a perfectly neutral expression.

Aaron gives Marcoant little more than the dismissive wave she would give any heckler as she approaches the oncoming parade, arms folded, looking as if she's going to stand against the oncoming march single-handedly. Between giving them time to advance and her own motion forward, she looks intent on meeting them close to - but not at - the gathering. "Welcome." she calls out, calmly and clearly. "If you want to engage in the democratic process with us and state your case - not speak in platitudes, mind you, but give your actual plans for the future - well, I'd say that part of that process means giving everyone a voice. Even you." A bit of a sour expression follows. It's not hard to tell that she doesn't like the throwbacks at all. "On the other hand, if you're here to stage an attack like the one not long ago..." Fist punches palm, and she gives a slow shake of her head. "...well, I'd have to say that you're under-equipped and ill-advised. So tell me, Mr. Quincy, if that is your real name. What's it gonna be? Talk earnestly and fairly with us, or...?" She has no right to speak for the gathering, of course. None at all. She represents no one's opinion except her own. But MAN, does she do it loudly. At least she's not alone in meeting them halfway; having Ebreus and Fenris there too makes her feel a little better, in case things go down.

Rosi doesn't wait around to see if the fighting she was afraid of would take place. Unfortunately her way home takes her straight past the line of fanatics that's making its way toward their gathering. Her step is light as she tries to make her way around the crowd instead, passing by the gathered rabble and away from any possible conflict. Before too long she's managed to make her way behind everyone, using the group for cover. Curiosity does get the better of her though, and she pops her head up over the crowd to watch. "Who are these people?" She asks whoever nearby will listen.

Vari chuckled at Naiko's response, before she moved towards the front of the crowd too, sending one last message to the officers on guard. She adressed Marcoant one more time. "We are not here to shoot people that are unharmed. Yes, my officers told me that they were coming. But they also said that they didn't look like ready for a battle. I am sorry, but a police should not shoot first and ask questions later. As of right now, I have to treat them as normal civilians, even if I personally don't agree with their ideology." With that said, Vari looked back at the approaching people, standing there with Ebreus, Fenris and Aaron. But unlike the others, she didn't say anything, instead focused on studying all their faces, and reading their movements.

Sabella looks at the crowd and grins. "Now, now. Relax everyone. Some of us have the right idea at least." He says jovially as he point at Fenris in particular. "Let us see what they have to say." With that, Sabella began moving from the stage towards the marching Minutemen. He gave Rosi a reassuring smile as he walked past her, "No need for fear, friend. They are just misguided people." he added with a whisper.

As for Quincy, he did not slow down as the two large being lined up in front of his soldiers, as well as the smaller ladies. Eventually, the Minutemen came close enough to the four beings standing in front of them. Quincy stopped not a meter away from the assembled agents. He simply sheathed his sword and gazed at the four assembled be....no Sabella just reached the four agents, so make it five individuals in front of him.

Quincy start pacing in front of the agents, he idly takes the tray from Fenris and hands it to one of the flag bearers, "Share it with the men, it was a march and a half." He said in a practiced Southern Gentleman accent, someone should tell him that he is mixing up his eras. "As for you good sirs and madams. I have nothing to say, we require not to parley with you even as you prepare to arm yourselves to attack us. We already made our demands clear. We want America back, not this new government of yours. And we want it without any of the Big Three that hold your hands." Quincy then stands at stands at attention and gives Sabella one final look. "I am no here to negotiate. I am here to say one thing. If you accept our demands, we can all move together and rebuild this nation. The Minutemen will gladly defend all our citizens. If you are not accepting all of them, then...my hands are tied."

Aaron scowls slightly - she already has an answer to this, having heard this many times from many sources. "See, you call yourselves Americanists and patriots, but there's nothing about what you just said that holds true to the American spirit of old. I would know, I lived that spirit. The idea that you should be able to step forward and dictate government to us, that there should be no vote, no conversation...I can't think of anything more un-American. Our forefathers would spit in your face for what you just said." With that, she turns her back on the man. "America is by the people, of the people, and for the people. ALL the people, not just you and your warped vision of what the country once was. I already said it once: we're looking to be free. No masters. Not Zephyr. Not RSX. Not the Prometheans. And not you." With that, she strides back toward the crowd, looking decidedly irate.

The white haired kitsune shook her head. "It is as my lapine friend said. If you are not ready to negotiate, then I am sure you haven't even considered the voices of the majority of people." Vari chuckled. "And this isn't the place to make your demands, anyways, as we are simply talking about the safety of the people. A group that will protect the citizens, making sure they can lead a happy life. I am sure that is something even you have to agree to?" The kitsune sighed. "And we will continue to do so. No matter what you say or do."

Sabella's words do little to reassure Rosi, and when she finds a moment, the feline makes a swift exit. As she makes her way back around the group, though, her eyes lock with those of the Old World leader, and she gives him a pointed glare. She can't let the man go unchallenged, can she? Everyone else has already voiced their rebuttals, though, and Rosi has nothing to add verbally. So as she makes her way out, she does it straight through the would-be revolutionaries, muscling her way through as she silently, wordlessly, dares them to challenge her.

Marcoant looks at the 5 mutants talking, after a while he notices that the conversation is over then he says "Goodby, always remeber to think about efficiency even if you don't like the way you get it" while he heads toward the ephyr tower, when he is near the back of the group he gets a piece of paper and saves it in his backpack withoout anyone noticion it because all OWO members.

"Did America go somewhere?" Fenris asks brightly. He looks a little sad to lose control of the appetizer tray, but it does not shake his happy disposition for more than a moment. "I think I must have missed something," he says amiably and extends a huge hand to the apparent leader of the group. "Quincy, right?" he asks, "You want to talk about this? I'm sure that any of the police groups here would be happy to have you and your men. . . " he looks at the assembled troop, "And women?" he tries, "I think there might be women back there?" The burly tanuki fishes in his rucsack and produces a bottle of what seems to be whiskey. Really good whiskey. "I'm willing to share if you want to talk?" he offers.

Ebreus watches Quincy closely as he speaks. As he makes it clear the Americanists are not here to negotiate he formulates his response. "Mister... Quincy, is it? If we're to resolve this non-violently then agreeing to sit down and talk is absolutely necessary." he nods to Vari and Aaron as they say their piece. "As my associate said America was a nation of, by, and for the people. A Democracy. So, Quincy, why don't we work together and make a government that will be good for all of us?"

Naiko smoothly says, "Gladly defend our citizens. If that's what you call raiding civilians and blatantly stealing supplies, in the name of your 'great nation', I'm sure the part of 'showing us the error of our ways' means nothing more than bullets to our heads." Naiko added, with a tone of spite towards Quincy. %r%r A spark even came out of one of the kitsune robot's many modules, causing a subtle twitch on her left eye. "You come to us with threats, disguising yourselves as patriots, when in truth, you seek to uphold yourselves and your 'state' above all else. As our friend said, our forefathers would be turning in their graves if they saw what you were doing." %r%r After a brief pause, Naiko added. "I -only- ask that you look into yourselves and question whether you're following the correct doctrine or not, but I must, by all means, tell you that you thread dangerously close to Fascism and I hope, no, I really hope, that you know what that word means in the history of the land of our forefathers, but the whole world." %r %r Taking a deep, calm breath and trying not to have any malfunctions out of disgust, she adds few more words. "Think of how many died because of Fascism, if you have ever studied it.""

Taking a deep, calm breath and trying not to have any malfunctions out of disgust, she adds few more words. "Think of how many died because of Fascism, if you have ever studied it."

Quincy eyed the group and furrowed his brows, "The same forefathers who discriminated based on many categories across the centuries? Yes, they will be rolling in their graves once they realize that people who are not white, male, landowners are voting. Do not presume to lecture me on what is America. We are not taking away your rights. We are inviting you to be part of our movement, and you will enjoy all the rights of American citizens. The Patriot is no dictator, he is here to bring Columbia back from the dead!"

As Quincy talks, Rosi suddenly comes rushing towards the column. "Loose formation!" The commander shouts, causing the men and women to stand aside and let the cat through. Quincy then looks back at the assembled agents, glancing Fenris and his whiskey bottle, then looking at the more angry outburst from the crowd. "We already negotiated. We gave you our demands, you refused them and are now insulting us and accusing us of tyranny and fascism, while you suckle on the teat of the profit-whores in Zephyr! The Patriot will weep at your ignorance. I told the patriot that the parasites and the scavengers are beyond saving, but he insisted on this."

Quincy then unsheathes his blade and walks back to his column. "Enough! I have wasted enough time here. I shall relay your refusal to The Patriot." As Quincy orders his men to turn around, he gives the crowd one final stare, "If any of you here are true patriots who are ready to defend our nation from the parasites and scavengers. Join me here!" And with that Quincy ordered his men to march with him quickly following.

To the shock of some members of the crowd, Richardson begins moving towards the leaving column, "Fuck this. I think I know where people would actually appreciate my service." Some members of the crowd gasp as a few others follow after Richardson, most of them are survivors from before P-day. Sabella shakes his head and moves back to the crowd, "So be it. This will end one way or the other." And with that, things go silent as people begin to disperse, dreading the worst.

Fenris blinks, his hand still outstretched for a handshake that never came. "So, that is a no on the whiskey?" he says, then shrugs, putting the precious bottle away. "You know what they say," he smiles at the others with him, "Only a Sith deals in absolutes!" The tubby tanuki then turns to find his way back to the food tables. Quincy took all of his canapes.

Turning to Aaron, Vari sighed. "I am not at all surprised this was going this way. But it will mean headaches for me and my personnell. because this means we need to reinforce our security measures, and increase patrols." The kistune walked over to the table again, leaning against it. "I really need to talk with you soon, and invite some other people, as well. This issue is too big for us K9s alone." The kitsune looked at the people dispersing. "But not now. This thing has left me drained. I think I will return to the station, and make my report."

"If Mr. Quincy wishes to stick his head up his ass so far up as to his confederate and slaver forefathers, then yes, those would be rolling in their graves. But such was not how -America- was before the P-day." Naiko adds, before crossing her arms one final time and spitting on the floor. "If that's the America -you- want to bring back from the dead by trying to force us to serve you, then by all means, you are surely beyond saving, just like your 'Patriotic' dictator." As his men marched back, she sighed. "I will be writing a long report to Zephyr on the subject as well. By any means, we must be prepared for more hostilities from these.." She twitches again, her whole body following the movement this time. "..Illiterate fools."

Ebreus sighs and shakes his head as Quincy replies and turns to march away. "You are wrong about a few things Quincy. Issuing demands isn't negotiation and we're building a government that is to be independant of corporate interests." he comments. As Luetenant Richardson does the predictable he turns to Dr. Vari Arak-Than as she walks over to the table. "Well I'm willing to provide support where I can. Coming up on a decade of surviving in the ruins of a city I think it's about time we build ourselves a functional civilization." He then turns his attention to Giovanni Sabella, "If you're available I would speak with you about what just happened."

The Minutemen continue marching away behind Quincy with their new recruits following them behind Richardson. The Minutemen began playing another tune now - Battle Hymn of the Republic. '...is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored...' The Minuteman sang as their voice grew more distant. Sabella grinned one more time at the crowd before bellowing, "Friends, no one said that rebuilding will be easy. Take heart, for today we took the first step forward. We will not let those clinging to the past to drag us down!" With that, done...the various groups finally began dispersing in earnest. Sabella then looked at Ebreus, "Perhaps later, I have more work to do today."
