They stand at attention. Each has a variety of tails behind them, nine in total per. The females are slender but well sculpted. There is a ready air about them despite lack of obvious weapons. The male is more relaxed, tapping at a phone, or a tablet? of some sort as he waits.

Each is a kitsune, with fox like head, agile, if furry, fingers, and digitigrade paws, though the latter are concealed in business shoes that have been constructed to fit their inhuman anatomy.

Linasha scampers through the city happily humming a little tune to herself carrying a bag of salvaged items, mostly frilly things. She scampers across the lot before stopping infront of the kitsunes looking up with a curious and perplexed expression on her face. She blinks ears tilted forward, staring for a moment before lifting a tiny hand to wave.

Technetium walks down the street, her labcoat loosely hanging against her body. Strapped to her back is a laser rifle, which tingles a light green. Her tan fur reflects the sunlight, showing off her Coyote figure. She bows slightly to the Kitsunes, and stands to the side to allow more visitors.

Fenris saunters down the street to greet the envoy of kitsune, his spear in hand as a walking stick and a sword with a leaf shaped bangle strapped to his back. He wears a green shirt advertising, "My Other Hat Is a Leaf!" as well as a long, open coat. Aside from that, he wears nothing but a smile, showing off his obvious tanuki calling card. "You can just turn around and go home, ladies and gentlemen," he says amiably to the kitsune, "Lord Tanuki has already laid claim to this wayward city!"

Nephele having gathered a hot cup of coffee from the lobby.... and suitably fled, given the... activities yet again taking part in Zephyr, she'd quickly walked outside, away from the business of the place. Yet as she rounds a corner, the blonde comes to a halt, eyeing up a group of people. Still strapped in her armor, and the chain-blade at her side, she doesn't quite move any further, simply observing while bringing the cup up to sip at idly.

Menil has been wandering through the city, scavenging and exploring Fairhaven for the time being. Idly disappointed in the lack of hostile ferals, odd as it is, due to the Tanuki's... help. He pauses as he sees the odd gathering, heading closer to get a closer look. On seeing what looks like kitsune in business suits, he stays a little ways away, still dressed in the makeshift combat armor and not quite all that presentable right now. No visible weapons on him though, at least, aside from oddly sharp teeth and nails.

"Has he," speaks the male kitsune, "That lovable oaf is muscling the locals and hoping to intimidate you into a bargain of bad faith. What you need is a sympathetic ally, one that won't force themselves on you. We know business, and you are business." He slips the tablet/phone away, "Zephyr has the right of things. Why force change on those who don't want it? They'll come around on their own schedule. There are more important things to focus on, gentlemen." Suddenly he has an array of business cards between fingers, offering one to Linasha, Fenris, and anyone else standing close enough to be given one without stepping much further.

Seguro flys to the contact point, her worn ratty lab coat flutters over her combat armor. With a thud she land lands behind technetium. As she dust herself off traces of golden scales glitter in the sunlight "I am not late am I?"

Linasha places her stash on the ground and accepts the business card, sniffing at it briefly, then bowing slightly before studying it further.

Technetium plucks a business card out, and quickly stashes it in her organizer. "Please forgive my... colleague. He's been heavily sided with the Tanuki since this mess started. It is a pleasure to meet your acquaintance."

Menil upon seeing the friendly nature, and the giving out of business cards? Menil approaches the gathering of foxes, gingerly taking a business card out of curiosity. He steps back a bit again, peering at the business card and looking at it, while still focusing with his ears on the conversation directed at the kitsune. He hasn't done much with this whole mess so far, but it does intriuge him, and the consequences do concern him.

Fenris gingerly takes a business card and reads it. "Well," he mutters, "If it is just business, I guess I can't complain." Still the new tanuki resolves to stick around to see what these sneaky foxes are up to.

Nephele's brow lifts in response to what was happening. It was a little hard to hear - she seemed perfectly human after all - forcing her to take a few steps closer, walking in a calm jig jag as to not appear as if she were really paying attentoin. The mention of Zephyr draws her gaze again, however, her lips pursing... before she takes another sip of her coffee.

Sami shuffles nervously as she waits among the assembled "delegation" to greet the Kitsune envoy. She takes an offered card and stares at it somewhat perplexed. "... and just what is your business?" she finally asks, trying to learn more about the enigmatic Kitsune.

The card introduces him as Shou Kitsune, Vice President of public relations of Fox Inc. It has an email, phone number, and a few social media contacts. If only there were an Internet to make use of any of that, or a working phone system, hmm... There are also some Japanese words on it, indecipherable to the average agent as they may be. "I was hoping to arrange a meeting with your PR man. I would have called ahead, but you know how phone service is these days." He raises a thin brow, "Email's been equally as troublesome."

Seguro looks a little confused accepting the business card "Well this is a nice change from the tanki, I wonder how is your tech still operational?"

Linasha stows the business card in her stash of under things and shiny things. She scampers closer to the group and inspects each closely, with the curiosity of a cat. "You seem nice MrSouKitsune" she mews cutely. She lets the bigger creatures do the talking for now.

Technetium coughs awkwardly. "It's not very likely you'll be able to get a personal meeting with Zephyr Inc. PR office. We can't even get them to listen to their own agents. As for internet and phone, that went down as our society went down. I would like to introduce myself, however. I am Technetium, Agent of RSX Inc."

"Oh, this?" asks Shou as he pulls out his tablet, "A gift from the CEO. He admires your 'lightning magic' as he likes to term it. Technology, wonderful stuff." With a swipe of a furry finger and a few clicks, it begins playing 'Domo Arigatou Mister Roboto' at a soft level. "Capable of such frivolity, or changing the world entire." One of his tails gives Linasha a pat on the head in response to her words. "A pleasure to meet you," he says towards Techentium. "I think we can tempt them out. We're not dealing with threats or vauge insinuation. Boss man wants what Zephyr's offering, and he's willing to pay for it."

Nephele hmms at the conversation taking place as she simply moves to lean up against the nearby wall, setting herself just so as she finally has the opportunity to listen in. Her brows climb at the mention of RSX however, her lips forming a momentary smirk. Though she doesn't offer any words of her own, she looks over the people the Kistune was speaking to, trying to determine if this were a planned meeting.

Fenris frowns for a moment at the business card before his characteristic contented smile returns. "Isn't Shou a chinese character, Mister Kitsune?" he asks, "And what do these other characters mean?" the tanuki points to the bottom of the card.

Technetium nods slowly, taking in the digital music, creating a wave of unmistakable nostalgia. She absentmindedly fingers the USB port in her arm, a connection to their technology filled past. She looks at the kitsune again. "Of course! Even in this era, we can understand the value of currency and bartering. Trying to set up a communication line from you to Fairhaven's corporations should greatly please them."

Sami bows slightly to the handsome Kitsune, "I'm so sorry for any potential inconvenience our situation has caused you sir, Zephyr management undoubtably appreciates the tremendous endeavor it must have taken to come to our fair city. On behalf of Zephyr Inc, we welcome you! My name is Samantha." she says with her tail wagging slightly behind her. "What may we do to assist you in this business endeavor?"

Seguro Watches the fox closely "Zypher INC still may make a meeting if they feel that contact is mutually benefit, I am curious as to what Zephyr INC has that attached your interest? It may help my higher ups make up their mind."

Linasha seems mesmorised by the tail, purring contently as it pats her on the head. She paws at it with fingers curled, giggling a little and wiggling in a feline manner before recollectings herself. "Why is MrSunes and those silly tanukiki's so interested in Zephyr stuffs?" she asks softly to no one in particular.

Menil huhs. He turns the vard, looking at the other side. Sadly he does not understand Japanese... and not much reason to currently, although recent events might change that. He slips the card into a pocket for now, could always check what the japanese on the card says later. He steps forward, but glances at Sami as she speaks up instead on behalf of Zephyr. He gives a friendly nod, adding, "Menil Lawson, Zephyr tech here."

The two femme-kitsune remain quiet, lurking within a few feet of Shou as he moves, but remaining always out of the way of whomever he is speaking towards. Their personal power is less concealed than his, with the lingering promise of action should it be required.

Shou raises one of his ears, "Chinese? It's a very popular name where I'm from," he says almost indignantly, "Ah, those? 'The tail leads the way,'" he says in a translating tone, "And a few other little sayings." When Sami speaks up he looks towards her, "A pleasure, to be sure," A bright smile, "I dare not dream to hope that you are an authorized agent of Zephyr Inc? We really do wish to hash out a deal, and there's only so much a field agent can do about that." Anyone who doesn't have a card gets one as they speak to him.

Sami's taik curls between her legs, "Of course! I meant no disrespect to you sir. Merely that I would like to assist your needs to the best of my abilities as per my station." She says with only a slight tremor before stepping away from the kitsune.

Nephele finally speaks up, emerald eyes settling upon the group of Kitsune. "I fear most of the people you will meet at Zephyr are field agents. At least... those present in the lobby. You ought... find a place to stay and set up an appointment. Or..." She shrugs her shoulders a touch. "Just march on up to the upper floors."

"Tempting," admits Shou, "But it seems ill suited to impress that we don't wish a hostile takeover when we go ignoring all protocols." He taps at the phone number on the card he's holding, "Have them call that. It will work." A tail brushes against Sami, squeezing her about the middle before it's just gone. From which kitsune it came from is unknown. "We'll be available."

Seguro shrugs "The higher up will read sami's an my own report making their decision based off of our input. On an unrelated note are you affiliated with the kitsune shrine to the south west of Fairhaven?"

One of the females suddenly breaks her silence, "That is our field office."

Technetium angles her shoulder to better identify her RSX Solutions insignia. "I am a researcher for RSX incorporated. Unfortunately, with both corporations you will face an indignant amount of red tape. I will be able to influence RSX to talk to the kitsunes, but I'm afraid I can't secure a position."

Seguro nods "It's good to know that we have a local contact. Also I must complement you on the sushi bar in the shrine it's the best in the city."

Menil clears his throat. He speaks up, replying to Shou, "Disasters in the previous years have made phone and email contact unlikely. Phone and internet infrastructure is destroyed, or at least maintenance has stopped due to lack of personnel. It also... complicates matters that the nanite bubble we're in right now quickly breaks down any technology like that." He assumes, by now, that the kitsune aren't quite aware of the situation Fairhaven is in, or at least the specifics. At least if they think phones work.

Linasha scampers to her stash and fishes out a shiny bouble, a silver ring of sorts. She scampers back and offers it to Shou, "For MrShouKitsune, for being nice and friendly and civil and not all stompy stompy" She coos holding up the ring.

Fenris shrugs. "Means longevity, I think," he says, moving on almost instantly. He holds onto the card for later reference, secreting it away in his coat somewhere. "What sort of business proposition did you have in mind, Mister Shou?" It certainly didn't cost the tanuki to be polite, and despite the longstanding rivalry between Tanuki and Kitsune, they weren't really so different.

"That number," speaks Shou in a confident manner, "Will work." He looks down at the ring being provided towards him. He crouches down and accepts it reverently, "May this be the first of many profitable exchanges between us." He kisses her hand if not prevented, then raises, the ring somehow stashed away without it visibly being put into a pocket or elsewhere. "We keep the Tanuki from strong arming the locals, provide security to be used as they see fit, and we get a reasonable price on the goods they're already so willing to sell. We will become their best customers."

Technetium bows politely, wincing slightly at her distended stomach. "Is there anything else you would have of us, Mr. Shou? We are very grateful for your alternative to the Tanuki hostile takeover."

Linasha blushes and wiggles at the galant actions. She seems to ponder a bit. "hmmm linlin will give MrShou-sune bussiness card to Dr. Stella. Linlin work for Lab 6, one of the Zepher Labs, Maybe she can think of some business dealings that could be arranged." The faemera says with a lil sagely nod.

"Strong-Arming!?" blusters Fenris, "Keeping the streets safe to walk is strong-arming now!?" So this WAS just a move against the Tanuki! "All we have done is discourage ferals and uncivilized behavior in the streets!" the tanuki says, "What is wrong with that?"

Nephele considers the words being spoken, her eyes darting to the other again. Yet she can't help but prompt another response, unwilling to just allow Zephyr such free service. "Zephyr," she begins, calling over to the group. "Is all too happy... to even elevate Ferals to standing positions. They will not care one bit about the Tanuki strong arming their way in... or even that you will be helping to keep them in check." She clears her throat then. "RSX, however, is all about business. They would be much more willing to... side with someone."

Menil quirks a brow at Shou. "Uh... huh." He sounds skeptical. He's aware of the possibility of magic with the few divine things he's heard about, just has a hard time accepting it. Or, well, even knowing much about it. Drops it for now, though, glancing over to Nephele and what she said.

"We were given to believe that Zephyr controlled the technology involved?" asks Shou towards Nephele, "We know little of 'RSX', tell us more." The matter of competing with the coondogs gets casually ignored in favor of information gathering. "Perhaps there are other ways, if Zephyr chooses to remain steadfastly neutral in the face of invasion." One of his tails tickles Linasha under the chin in thanks at her words.

Menil says, "naughty I vote for vixen of ice. Ice isn't sexy, fire is. >:("

Menil says, "ooc mav. @.@"

Linasha lets out an audable eep at the outburst from the Tanuki and tries to hide behind the tail, lifting and curling her own multitude of tails around herself protectively. She relaxes soon enough occupied by the friendly tail.

Sami:shivers from the contact with the Kitsune tail, though it is unclear whether it is out of fright... or something more. She waits for those speaking to finish before adding "Given the situation here in Fairhaven Mr.Shou, such an offer is incredibly generous... I am certain our employers will be very interested to hear it. However given present circumstances it may be difficult to convince them to prioritize such a meeting... is there perhaps something we could take back to our employers as a show of good faith and future ... prosperous relations?" she concludes with a small pant, doing her best to remain polite, deferential, and pleasant to the delegates.

Seguro places a hand on her chin "Mr. Shou I was wondering if you could answer a metaphysical question?

Nephele's cheeks redden a touch as she's suddenly adressed with such intensity, though out of embarrassment than anything else. She's quick to glance to the other that had labeled themselves as an RSX operative before looking back to Shou. "I am... certainly not of a high enough position to disclouse any real information in that regards. Unlike Zephyr...they do not mediate everything through their operatives. Nor do they casually allow anything and everthing to go on in their very lobby." She inclines her head then as she straightens, pushing herself off the wall. She pauses for a little while, allowing Sami to speak before... "Once you are disatisfied with Zephyr's way of business, do give RSX a.." She pauses, eying the phone from before, "...call."

Technetium prepares to explain RSX. "RSX Ck-Developed the Promethean nanites with Zephyr incorporated. RSX was a government contracting organization who did much work on computers, software, and occasionally R&D. We strive to protect and serve our people, and are executing our directive well." She says, being highly formal.

Fenris is a little put out by being ignored by the kitsune, but not enough that it shakes his calm. "Zephyr is only a corporation out for their own intrests anyway," he says, "They will do anything for money, Mister Shou, and will certainly be glad of your offer." Fenris left Zephyr behind long ago. If only they weren't the sole suppliers of so many neccessities in the city.

"Fascinating," speaks the fox in a tone that implies he's storing it away for later use. "Metaphysical you say? I'm afraid I'm a business and people person, not much for faith and R&D, but there's no harm in asking," he prompts. "And I think I may do just that. I think this meeting is just about at its end. You've all been great."

Seguro pondering for a moment "Why do the supernatural entity's value mako nanites so much? It seems that a dedicant must make an offering to such an entity in exchange? The is true at your shine?"

Menil idly wonders what other japanese supernatural beings have presence in Fairhaven now. Hmmm. Wonders if there's any dragons... Refocuses back on the topic on hand as he pushes those thoughts elsewhere for the moment, listening curiously to Seguro's question.

Technetium gestures to herself, as a Coyote. "I am dedicated to a supernatural entity - the coyote. We can transform others at will, and reshape them as we want. I am personally not that devious, but it is a frightening and somehow enticing subject." She says, straightening her labcoat.

Fenris sighs. Why can't anyone see that Tanuki just has everyone's best interests at heart? That things would be better if people would stop attacking each other in the streets and just learned to enjoy the good things in life? Even before joining Tanuki, he had been a firm supporter of the Promethians. Especially after seeing Zephyr's true colors in one too many schemes gone awry. He raises an eyebrow at the Kitsune as he prepares to depart. "That's it?" he asks, "No invitation to see what you are offering? No tea service? Nothing? Kitsune manners have slipped, I think."

Nephele finally becomes silent as she watches the group, letting those more experienced speak. Yet she does blink in surprise at the mention of what a coyote can do, her brows climbing momentary... before shivering just a touch, wrapping her arms about herself. Well, AN arm. The other brings her coffee up to drink further.

"Ah!" exclaims Shou, "You said metaphysical, but that's entirely a matter of practical economics," he says, looking quite relieved. He reaches into his pocket and draws out a mason jar. In it glitters can be seen dancing about, "Mako, or as the boss man calls it, 'The heart of the storm', is the most concentrated form of your world's magic. One milligram of it is worth several kilograms of the every day stuff at the least. Space is money. You need magic in small spaces, or you just can't get things done. Imagine this tablet," he says, holding up the tablet, "With a battery twenty times as large. Useless! Of course mako is valuable. Economics and nothing more. I really should be going. I have to submit a report ASAP. You're all welcome to stop by the shrine. We can do lunch." He slips his things away and then makes a gesture of 'call me'.

Seguro gives a bow "thank you that was most enlightening."

Linasha is completely lost, hugging and snugging a nearby kitsune tail.

Technetium bows once more. "I would be happy to accommodate you to lunch - I'll pay." She says politely.

Fenris rolls his eyes at the invitation. Then pulls the card from his pocket for another look. He almost expects it to turn into a leaf in his hand. He would have to bring this development to the attention of Lord Tanuki.

The tail, despite certainly having been Shou's before, seems to be connected to one of the females. She squeezes Linasha in the collection, lifting her up for a full body embrace before gently setting her back down. With a wink, she moves with the others, as it seems they are departing.

Menil stares at the kitsune for a bit as the question is answered. Recognition quickly dawns on him as he realizes the implications of that. "...huh..." he manages to say.

Linasha purr wiggles during the hug and happily waves after them as they start to depart. She collects her things and moves to return to one of her nests.

Nephele watches the group walk off before sighing in relief, rolling her shoulders a little before she focuses her attention all upon her mug in silence.

Seguro waves before pulling out a pad of paper to scibble down notes.
