It'd been a bit of a bumpy ride, the group having had quite the hard time moving from place to place, especially given the overabundance of keen-eyed ferals. These... humans, they were hardly fitting of the word, their bodies bloated and molded by the nanites to such an extent that they'd merely be a semblance of what their unmutated brothers and sisters actually were. It'd taken a little while for the injured among them to recover, thankfully nobody had suffered greatly and the presence of a nanite signal made healing a cakewalk.
Having roused the ferals in the area, stealth had been pretty much thrown out the window, and the group had one thing left to do to avoid another confrontation. Run, run away from the three they'd taken down before more arrive. Some struggled to keep up, but all together the party find themselves behind cover, far from danger and right by their target.
Looming directly above them was a large office building, surprisingly intact, with even all its windows seemingly uncracked or damaged in any way. The scents of ferals was absent in the area, a peculiar thing. Neither fur nor scales nor sweaty flesh, nothing but the lingering aromas of the ruin that was the post-nanite hellscape. This was it, as seen on the map. Now the matter remained of gaining entry. Silence would be preferable, but there is more than one way to skin a cat, so to speak.
Arris splits off from the group once more after everyone breaks into a run towards the office building; instead, the gator turns northwards lightly towards the house north of the building. As she approaches the front door, she slows down to a sneak. From one of her pockets, she pulls a shield drone and deploys it, keeping it on point just in front of her as she sidles up to the window and exposes one eye to see into the building, on lookout for any possible enemies within.
Seeing nothing but two bodies within, she circles around to try both doors. With the front, she has no luck, but the back door has been kicked in already. Slowly, cautiously, she creeps towards the stairs, making sure to avoid any creaky wooden boards on her way there. No knowing what was on that second floor just yet.
Having defeated the group of ferals who had spotted the group the Hellhound bolts from the scene as quickly as his booted paws can carry him... which doesn't seem that fast given everyone but the vixen out-pacing him rather quickly. Reaching the building Ebreus looks over to the others who'd dashed here and making use of his telepathy says to everyone but Arris, *Follow me, let's see if there's a back door.* as he walks south along the wall to see if he can find a rear entrance less exposed to prying eyes.
The elf was, as before, not as eager to offer any manner of suggestions for the fellow comrades in arms. The quest was slowly but surely drawn to the dramatic culmination. The time for them to face the ultimate evil of darkness was upon them! Now, being stealthy was the key. To venture into the beastcock layer and to slay them in their sleep. The bring forth the entire building upon the unsuspecting fools! The burn to ashes their wicked bodies, to engrave death upon their very souls was the only proper way to end this adventure! decided ind, the foecock nesteth is place within the stable. Prithee bareth in mind yond those enemies art but a simple beasts. Hardly wouldst their intelligence alloweth those folk to setteth some mann'r of guard. We shalt ent'r as kings, through the central gates!el The elf exclaimed in reply to Enbresucock mental molestations. Those words alone are enough to make the elf go in heat. The heat of battle that is, Yush!
Not having any better plan, at least as for this moment, the jello lamia simply follows Ebreus closely, together with the rest of the group. She keeps an eye for any danger, holding her customized PPD-VA with her arms outstretched, ready to shoot. Her focus is disturbed for a moment, however, when she notices the hellhound in front of her idly groping his cock. "Maybe he can't wait to get gangbanged by Night Stalkers?", she thinks to herself and shakes her head, trying to focus on the job. If it weren't for the filter mask she is wearing, one could probably see her cheeks turn slightly red.
Zophah stores her bow and checks her invisibility before taking to the sky, flying up to see if there is a roof access. After a smooth landing she checks the building with Biodetection nanomagic, Zophah replying telepathically to the group: 'All the windows are whole and closed. The roof looks like a strong hit might break through in places, but otherwise no entrance. My nanomagic detects three Nightstalkers, but all of them are... underground?'
Arris slowly, steadily moves through the house, making very little noise outside of the low whirr of her shield drone's propellors. Even though nobody is around to hear her, she takes the caution regardless of checking around for possible opponents before setting up outside a window. There, she'd scan the office building for anything of note; and, once more, sees nothing.
"I'm in position." Arris' voice rings out through the squad's comms. "Stay outside to stay safe. I can only get them if they're exposed." She lets her scope glint towards the roof, signalling to Zophah where she was before it gets focused back towards ground level.
Rounding the corner to look over the back wall and quickly finding the slightly opened garage door Ebreus replies to their elven cohort, "Shock and awe. We're best served with a decisive surprise attack appearing in the nest as we destroy it." Looking over the large door he slips his fingers from one hand under and carefully tests the door... how much effort will it take to budge and how noisy will it be if that much effort is applied. Humming a light note as he assesses that the door would make quite a lot of noise he looks back to his allies, "We'll just have to go under." and begins to shrink down as he slips any of his gear that's sufficiently not nanite-based that it isn't shrinking under the door.
Crawling under the door the Hellhound blinks his thermal vision on and looks around before beginning to grow back to his usual imposing hight. After the growth finishes and picks back up all his non-shrinking stuff he walks over and leans against a wall as he waits for his allies to follow him... quietly cursing himself for not bringing an energy drink and yet deciding to burn up so much energy on drastic alterations to his size. Hearing Arris radio he replies, "Too late, already inside... can't return the way I came. Should be a strait shot from here to the nest."
The elf still puzzled by the notion of everyone splitting to take higher ground when the target was said to be in the garage. Normally those were located on the ground levels and with severe lack of windows for outside support. However. The elf also knew that this was a group well acquainted with one another. A squad of professionals. Perhaps they were going to go with a bang and needed the others to cover the escape. Though, that was not in the plans laid out earlier? She also recently found out that she can run faster than most of them and if things were to look really bad... But of course, she was the hero. And heroes doncockpit run in the face of danger. Next it was the matter of Ebreus squeezing beneath the door. "A shrinking mushrump." Notes the elf. "Thou are bright." She didn't have a way to follow and so, the only way for her to get inside, was the central entrance. Which, she promptly decided to seek out. "Art thee cometh with me? Or shall thee beest following him?" Asked the adventurer gesturing to the door as she gazed upon Uvi.
The lamia girl, now stuck outside together with the elf, simply shrugs her arms. She quickly makes a hand signal to Olathiel, which she was taught during her RSX Operative training, ordering her to wait, actually forgetting that she may not be able to understand it. Nevertheless, she takes off her mask and leans towards the gap. She whispers loudly, "Excuse me? Aren't you going to let us in?" Uvi manages to squezze her serpentine, jello tail through the gap in an attempt to poke Ebreus. She succeeds, feeling something resembling a limb, so her smooth gel tailtip reflexively wraps around it. Thing is, it isn't a limb. It is actually his cock!
Zophah glides down to Olathiel, recognizing that no ferals will be aproaching any time soon so she should rejoin the group. Zophah uses her nanites to withdraw her wings back into her body as she telepathicly messages Arris 'We're heading inside, I don't think there will be any more trouble out here, but just in case I'll deploy a drone.' She then pulls a shield drone from her bag and activates it, leaving instructions to protect the front entrance from any ferals getting in. "We can just use the front door, can't we? we already know the stalkers are not going to be on the main floor."
"...Goddamnit, Ebreus." Arris looks up from her scope to look at the building with a distasteful frown, muttering to nobody in particular. "Man, what the hell happened to 'sniper overwatch would be great'? The one time I actually stand far away to shoot things, too..." She keeps a close watch on the building, looking for anything that might come out, at least until she gets that message.
In short order, the gator puts the strap of the rifle over her shoulder and slides down the front of the house, holding against the wall. As she makes her way over to the rest of the team, she notes that her supressor - which she attached earlier to her rifle - is missing. Must've not been secured properly. "The front door idea sounds wonderful, Zoop." The gator glances around. "No idea why Ebreus didn't think of it, speaking of which, where is the bugger?"
Ebreus grabs Uvis tail and removes it from groping at his cock, his pants blocking access to it beforehand, and replies, "I thought you two would be able to follow me. I can't open the door without further complicating the mission." He sighs as Arris chimes in and starts to quietly make his way down the garage a few steps to counter any further unprofessional grabbing. His voice plays into the heads of the entire team, *Yeah, and I thought we weren't going with that plan. Besides our objective is /underground/ and I found a rout that leads right to it around the back of the building.* he takes a breath and continues with less agitation apparent in the telepathic voice, *I thought Uvi and Ola would be able to follow but it turns out I was wrong. Going to see about getting eyes on the objective.* And with the end of his telepathic message he continues deeper into the garage as quietly as he can.
Uvi gasps quietly as her tail gets forcibly removed, making her wonder what she's actually grabbed. Shaking her head again, she whispers, "Fine!" and redons her mask, signalling the rest of the group with a gesture to follow her to the front door as she starts slithering towards it.
Zophah makes her way to the front door with the rest of the group, still invisible. With her drone protecting the entrance, Zophah sneaks her way in. Sneaking didn't realy matter at this point because the stalkers are in a lower level, but better safe than sorry. She telepathically comunicates: 'Nothing here just yet, better move forward if we are to catch up with Ebreus.'
The door clicks open and Zophah is the second to move into the building. Her fingers while not experienced in the art are nimble enough to undo the simplistic tumblers. Her ability to keep low however is undisputed, naught but a shimmer in the darkness. Ebreus having returned to his usual size makes his way downstairs into the depths of the parking garage. There, he'd sense the presence of three slumbering individuals. Feral beasties of the night passing the daytime in restful respite. Their ears twitch and their snarls are heard once a noise the hellhaund causes stirs them in their state, but doesn't awaken them quite yet.
Arris follows shortly after Zophah. She keeps her sniper rifle focused in front of her, figuring that the three stalkers they were after would be grouped together. Unfortunately, she doesn't watch where she's stepping - a creaky board, of which she was more careful about earlier that day - and soon, the sound of growls and snarls float up through the floor, from the garage basement.
On the spot, the gator freezes up. Her eyes dart left and right, looking for possible ambush spots. Knowing everyone's in the basement already, her sights lock on the downwards stairs east of her; the AW aims directly at the topmost step, ready to blast the first feral from it.
Ebreus telepathically confirms, *Visual confirmation of the objective at underground parking.* to the party as he stays still to avoid waking any of the stalkers. As the creak from above reaches his ears he adds, *Careful, heard whatever you just did. Will get interesting if they wake with just me down here.* as he slowly crouches and slinks off away from those closest to him... his scent, that of strong cologne covering brimstone, may linger in the air but there wasn't much that could be done about it now. Getting behind some visual cover he fishes a small canister out of one of his bags and a vial to go with it. Slotting the vial into a small opening in the canister he closes it off and checks that it has activated before setting it on the ground as quietly as he can and rolling it over to the stalkers... rolling near the group he relays *Two or three down in just a moment. Unknown to go.* as he waits for the 'fuse' to run out on his nanite grenade.
Olathiel never imagined that there could only be three stalker in a nest. That isncockpit much of a nest. It isncockpit even a family. But who is she to judge? Though, things were starting to get a little complicated. The eneaky hound went to Solo the mission and was most likely in need of dramatic rescue. Arris was battling a very particular squeaky board on the floor and that particular part was having an upper hand it would seem. Zophah was most likely somewhere around here as well! And elf was doing her best the follow the invisible party member. It was a difficult task. The all made so much harder by Ebreuscentral accusation of the team failing to communicate and follow the plan as well as her inability to squeeze her body beneath the garage door. He also have mention a back door what was apparently leading to where they needed be. Turning back was too late now. Judging by the look of Arriscentral face, all hell was about to break lose! So the Elf draws! Trice! First the Bow, Second the Arrow and third, said arrow on said bow. She furrowed her brows so if anyone is to look upon her, they would knew she means business and they would know that they will rue the day the stepped in her parlor! Of course, this mission wouldncockpit have been nearly as hard if the voice in the elfcock head didncockpit keep whispering things about cocks in cunts constantly interfering with what Ebreuscentral invasive bring fuckery. "Matter are ill with folk below. We shall make haste before our dear friend meets and evil faith be claw and teeth."
Zophah draws her bow, coating an arrow tip with paralytic venom before continuing. She replies to Ebreus telepathically: 'coming down invisible, ready to knock out or pin down any stragglers but there should only be three of them.' She stops to double checks her biodetection nanomagic to double check there aren't more than three, and she notices that two of the stalkers now register as huskies? 'Did you use a nanite grenade or something? While I agree that making them female huskies should make this easier that sounds like a bit of a waste...'
Following the bikini-clad vixen, Uvi, alarmed by the noise coming from downstairs quickly switches her gun to blunt mode, something which should be more suitable for indoors combat. She knows well that the acid spray could turn against her or her teammates in this situation, and concussive expulsions produced when it's set to sonic mode aren't a great idea either in enclosed space. However, she also knows well that shooting while there's somebody invisible in front of her is also bad. What a great strategy. But then, when a voice in her head mentions the nanite grenade and two huskies alone with a Night Stalker, she hurries downstairs. This mission could very quickly turn into a rescue mission instead.. On the other hand, the two huskies may actually enjoy their new fate...
The transformed ferals wail and howl in surprise as they are unwittingly transformed. They stagger and flail before collapsing and starting to roll around in a chaotic mess. Before long, their feeble minds surrender to the call of their feral drive and they are reduced to naught but female puppies, tussling each other and play-fighting... for now. It won't be long before those other features huskies were known for push through. The one stalker remaining however sniffs out its nearest target, and makes a leaping lunge around the corner and the hound's visual cover, lashing at him with its talons. Its claws lash right at his armor, scraping and cutting into its surface, but leaving the flesh beneath undamaged. It spring back and makes a dash upwards, towards the main chamber and the now unlocked exit, perhaps sensing the fresh breeze coming through~
Once Ebreus gives his word that two of the night stalkers were now huskies, Arris raises one hand before pointing it forward, towards the stairs, glancing to Zophah and Olathiel for confirmation before sneaking forwards... or, at least, until Uvi rushes ahead of her. And the one remaining night stalker rushes into her. The gator raises her arm to fire, but the feral's movement is too erattic and she only grazes its shoulder.
Firing indoors might not have been a fantastic idea. Oh well, being able to hear shouldn't matter right now, right?
Ebreus replies to the vixens telepathy, *Wait there's only suppose to be three?* he replies, *Was expecting more. Oh well... not like they're made of mako or anything.* His message ending at his attention is draw to the remaining stalker as it vaults over his cover. Rolling with its momentum as it attacks him he manages to ensure its claws glance off his armor. When there's the slightest of moments he grabs his scattergun... only to find it fleeing, *Stalker incoming!* he calls, unsure if it'd have reached them by the time of his call, then rising to his feet and looking over at the remaining two, now huskies, as he plots out how to get them to come with him. After a few moments he whistles to get there attention.
Olathiel being the hero that she is, was ready to make things right! And by that, of course, she meant stealing the kill and claiming all of the glory and experience. There were bodies in front of her. Multiple bodies. Big and small, snake and not, visible and invisible, friend and foe. She had to make that shot count! She had to strike true! The only way was the way of Obi! Taking the higher ground like so many tried today. Tried and failed! But not her! Not here, not inside this building! She takes one step, another! Speeding towards the wall. Has our hero gone mad? Perhaps! Or maybe not! She leaps! Steps her foot against the wall, another and... Pushes away! Like a ballerina giftent in the art of gymnastics she sores through the room above the heads of her companions, spins and flips upside down! She loses her arrow aiming for the stalker as her feet just barely miss the ceiling before drawing an perfect arch to land gracefully on the floor. The done with such precision that even her tunic follows along without flashing any one the comrades! Ah what art! What beauty, what grace! And what accuracy! The beast is smitten! As if the lighting came down from heavens, her arrow found the target... If that target was a filing cabinet right by Uvi's buttocs. That was a close one! The elf seem so sure of herself she take a bow! "Fighting battles thee cannot hope to winneth is nothing more than folly!"
Is it how it is going to end now? Is that it? It can't be! As the great, nocturnal beast rushes upstairs towards the group of seemingly helpless agents, a very brave jello lamia girl rushes downstairs. She tosses her gun aside and reaches with her right hand for the blade on her back. Only she can protect the group behind her, and the success of the whole mission lies in her petite hands. But will she make it? As bullets, arrows and even bodies fly past her, a battlecry escapes her mouth, slightly muffled by the filter mask, "FUUUUUUUCK~!!". Lamia's serpentine body curls, and she springs, desperately lunging towards the feral monster. And, after a brief moment of silence... She did it! Her sword goes through the furious Night Stalker's chest like if it was butter. Uvi looks deep into mutant's eyes as drops of its blood drip from the tip of her sword, but it isn't the end yet, because it is still alive! Who will be able to finish it now, or maybe were Uvi's efforts futile?
Zophah would shoot an arrow, but with close quarters, quick actions and poor markmanship she figures out a better idea. Using her nanomagic she assults the Stalker's balance and visual senses to make it feel like the room is spinning faster than than a funhouse tunnel set on 'tumble dry'. As the stalker stumbles backward into the ground like a pickled drunkard, Zophah drops her invisibility and says "That stalker is not going anywhere for the foreseeable future. Still dangerous, but we'll be fine as long as we stand out of it's reach. Any ideas on what we'll do with the new huskies? Or patch up the stalker you skewered?"
With the feral presence dispersed and the party none worse for wear, the mission is deemed accomplished, and Woodfield is just that much safer. Well, it is with less nighttime terrors running around. In the end, the group would return for some rest, and respite.
