The world stretches on grey into the distance, the strip of land suspended in the void goes on and on. After having smashed the statues of the wolves, the ragged trio of humans continues to follow the wolf that had scouted them, to Smokie's persistance and to the strange unnamed man's reluctance. They walk and walk and walk, and see nothing for the longest time. Hours? Time? They do not exist here, but they feel as if they've gone on and on and on. The strip of land widens as they go, until they can no longer see the edges. That is when Smokie begins to panick, looking for tracks and cussing to herself.

The unnamed man however, stays mostly on his course, assuring the others that the wolf really has nowhere to go but straight.

The landscape begins to change the deeper they go, becoming a place of hills and fissures that they must either climb or skirt. Wilder and wilder it grows, rocks jutting up straight and jagged from the landscape randomly, gnarled and backened trees twisted morbidly. When the party is cresting yet another hill, the unnamed man stops, and shortly thereafter, Smokie stops. The both seem to be looking. There's a cliff before them, where it looks like the landscape was just suddenly stacked atop itself. Atop that cliff, only around twenty feet up, stands that wolf from before, grinning down at them with his ears and tail held aloft.

Sithra walks beside the group, glancing around and mumbling. As the wolf appears in Sithra's sight he immediately turns his attention to it. He stops walking with a quiet whine, though even if he scared, he continues to stare at the wolf

Angus was watchful as he walked, eyes scanning their surrounding as he leaned his axe on his shoulder. He didn't mind the long walk, in fact, it was actually peaceful compared to what they had already been through and it helped to clear his mind. Clearing the last hill he sighed as he finally noticed the wolf, that cocky grin annoying him more then ever. "Cute, what next. You going to do some tricks?" He asked tauntingly, as he glared back.

The wolf on the hill looks down at Angus, and its smile seems to fade. Its muzzle wrinkles as it turns its back, its eyes wary upon the three down there until it can no longer see them over the edge of the cliff. The unnamed man grimaces, and immediately runs up to the cliff, looking for a way to scale it. He comes only against its shear earth and rock face. "Damn it..."

Smokie growls. No, she doesn't growl, she just makes an annoyed rasping sound. She stands her ground and stares it down until it leaves. It doesn't look at her, or pay her any mind. She shouts an obscenity, and steps forward, stomping her fur-booted foot on the ground to make a soft 'pat'. Frustration and anger have been boiling in her as she walked, trying to track, unable to without her long snout or her keen ears. She watches the unnamed man try to scale the wall, but give up as he can find no good footing. She shakes her head. "Damn, we have to get over this cliff..."

Sithra tilts his head as he sees Smokie stomping her foot as the wolf leaves. He walks closer to her and places his hand on her shoulder, squeezing it for a bit, trying to comfort her. He looks at the cliff, curiously and heads over to it. He slides his paw across the wall and stands there, looking at the wall, unable to do anything else.

Angus smiles as the wolf starts to frown, then walks away. He knew that they were supposed to follow him, but that doesn't mean he can't be happy about that smile being wiped away. "Well, we could always use climbing gear, or a ladder....or you know. Making it so that the ground we stand on is at the same height as the cliff.." He pondered out loud, already envisioning it in his mind.

Things happen. But dreaming is more than just mentioning things and hoping they'll appear. A few sticks do fall out of nowhere and land randomly about on the ground, but besides that, nothing happens.

The unnamed man sighs and turns back, looking at Angus. "Those are good ideas, but we have no... What did you call it? Gear. And no ladder. But the ground..." Smokie sighs softly as she feels Sithra's hand upon her shoulder. She looks at him, the naked human, and sighs. At least she can look at that human form and not be so freaked out anymore. She puts the hand of her opposite arm on his, not used to feeling the soft hairless human skin.

Nothing happens for awhile, but right when Angus is about to give up, the ground begins to shake, and around where they stand the ground begins to fall... Or, no. The area they're standing on begins to rise, and the cliff before them begins to collapse a little. The whole place is shaking and grinding violently, making standing difficult...
