| In-Game Desc | The mystical Draupnir ring, or at least a copy of it. Active Loki Dedicants who wield this ring gain the boon of its duplicative powers in an illusory sense. One of two powers can be used. The first is to summon a duplicate comprised completely of magical illusion. It will act as you would and appear real to observers visa vie the magic. While this is in effect, the wielder may chose to be concealed as an innocuous object via illusion. Interacting with the wielder's doppleganger is treated as if interacting with the wielder, but should an intentional blow be struck against it, the image disappears in an effect chosen by the wilder, whether it be a billowing cloud of smoke, collapsing into a pile of beetles, or turning into a log before falling to pieces. The effect is purely cosmetic and illusory, but can add flavor and be distracting enough for the real wielder to make an escape, as they, too, would be revealed. The second choice, not to be used while the first is in effect, would be to create up to two mirror images of the wielder. The images are illusory but will not disappear with a strike, but it is up to the wielder to sell the results of interactions, as the images will mirror their movements. The wielder can, at will, shift which image is them and which are the fakes. Neither power can be used while the other is active, and you must be actively dedicated to Loki in order to use them. The duration of a power is 10 minutes, but it can be extended by an additional tenminutes via expending a Hero Point. The illusions affect the five natural senses and can only affect other senses the wielder is familiar with, such as having the badge for supernatural senses gifted by other dedications or nanomagics that give extra sensory input. |
