| Description: | The Balaur Taur's body is covered in shaggy, densely layered primitive feathers, with a tall crest of more advanced feathers running down the spine from the back of the head. The limbs are scaled below the elbows and knees, like bird legs. The head and neck are hooded in black, while the rest of the body is bright cobalt. Bold, striking markings in black, white, and mingled shades of red break up Balaur Taur's outline. The crest alternates between black and white, with glittering silver accents. A metallic-looking play of color flows fleetingly over Balaur Taur's coat when she is struck by strong light, producing liquid gleams in iridescent rainbow hues, mingled with an occasional shimmer of gold or copper. The effect is similar to a piece of polished ammolite. Her head is that of a predatory dinosaur - long and low, with a blunt, heavy saurian muzzle full of dagger-sharp teeth and a fleshy, slightly forked tongue. The sclera of her eyes are metallic silver, contrasting with the moon-yellow irises. These big, forward-facing eyes have round pupils usually fixed on something in a hawkish, hungry glare. The ears are nothing but small holes behind the back of the jaw. Her body is tautly muscular, flexible and strong. Although powerful, her torso is battered-looking and noticeably thin from malnourishment, the ribs visible against her scar-crossed skin when she moves in certain ways. Her chest has two standard breasts, each of which are taut and have nipples that are softly glistening with wetness. Her arms are many. Due to the type of taur she is, Sheela has two sets of arms. A pair of mostly humanoid arms are connected to her humanoid torso are slender, more dense than bulky in her muscles, with thick, heavy bones. Her hands are more reptilian than human in form, with four short-clawed digits each, one of which is a thumb. The two arms of Balaur Taur's taur-body are thoroughly bestial, identical to those a Balaur dinosaur would have - short and powerful, but articulated something like the wings of a bird, thus limiting her range of movement. These dinosaur hands have three fingers, each bearing a large, hooked claw. Wing-like display feathers grow along the back of each of her arms. These are much too small to allow for flight, but they make Sheela look bigger and fiercer when outspread. At the hips, Balaur Taur's torso merges into a feral lower body of a Balaur dinosaur, complete with a pair of forelimbs placed where the animal would normally have them to complement those on her humanoid torso. This theropod body is, naturally, bipedal, giving Balaur Taur a bizarre look and stance compared to that of other taurs. A long, tapering raptor tail arches outward from Balaur Taur's otherwise human buttocks. It is stiffened into a springy pole by supporting internal tendons so that its owner cannot allow it to drag, or even move it very much. It can be lashed from side to side, raised, and lowered, but that's all the movement it is capable of. A fringe of elegant feathers grows at the tip, giving it a flashy, pheasant-like flair. | ||||||
