An overcast day, threatening rain, though it seemed to only mist here and there versus actually rain. The building itself had definately seen better days, with vines growing over it in various places, small sections having collapsed in. On a table nearby a few of the Children of Glenstock have some blue prints of the building and what they are trying to convert it into. It looks like it was once an apartment of some kind many, many years ago... but... "No, we have to add more support! Some of us are literal tons of weight!" Says a mechanical fox taur over her breasts to a much smaller male mouse who points at the building again, "And you think we will be able to convert enough sections to add THAT much support! You large fat asses can just stay on the bottom floor." He responds, the fox taur growling a bit back, "That means we have limited housing, and we'd have to convert more buildings. And what about businesses? Do you expect us to not be able to go upstairs anywhere!?" She yells back. All the while work crews move about salvaged lumber, mixers for concrete, and generally prepare for the work ahead... once the two foremen had made up their minds how it was going to procide...

Astara came trotting up, out of breath, carrying Niles on hir back! Shi was in a rush, and shi overestimated hir momentum as shi approached the arguing foremen... having to curve to the side and circle back around to avoid bowling them over. Not that it seemed a possibility. "A-aaahhh... oof. What... what are you two arguing about?" Shi pants out, bending over a little bit as shi catches hir breath. "Here to help, by the way."

Niles had his upperbody resting against Astara's back. His hands gently sit on her sides but grip tightly as she comes to a sudden halt. He curves his body to keep his balance on the taur. When they come to a stop, he looks around with low ears. He grumbles softly at the surroundings. He turns to look at the foremen as Astara addresses them but keeps quiet with his tail twitching nervously behind him.

Walking down the street, Parsnip is trotting down the street, she looks quite uncomfortable with herself as she sees a growing group in front of her. Seeing the mix of genders in front of her, she blushes and looks away from them, trying to keep her invasive thoughts away. "H-hey.... What's going on here? What's all this hustle?" She asks to nobody in particular, though from the smell it's clear she's in heat somehow, even if Parsnip herself doesn't realize it.

Already mostly present in the situation, Jaqui steps into the workshop with some blueprints of her own, overhearing the two speak. "Oye! That's really rude! Don't be saying shit like that." she interrupts them, speaking to the mouse. "I'm sure there's a better way to plan without shouting. Let me have a look." she offers, walking up behind the mouse and trying to get a better look at their blueprints, provided her two cents are desired in the first place.

The mouse and mechanical fox taur look up as Astara near knocks them over looking ready to quikcly move the table if shi didn't stop intime! Once they were sure that the work they had wasn't in danger of being destroyed, they look around at the new helpers, "Well," The fox taur starts, "we are trying to repair this old apartment complex for use by us, housing is getting... more than a bit crowded, with Miranai and... well... I have more brothers and sisters than I can count!" She says, the mouse snorting, "If you all could keep it in your pants for more than an hour..." He gets a cold glare from the fox taur, "Anyway, we were trying to fix this building up for use again, but... the upper floors were never built for, well... bigger or heavier people. And there isn't room to add more supports, so...?" The mouse laughs, "So they should just live on the bottom floor! I mean, how many of us weigh more than a ton?" He asks, looking around again, seeming to not care what Jaqui had to say about his language.

Parsnip looks down at the mouse and clears her throat. Standing near the mouse is an thinner bird attached to an impressively rotund bird. "I for one would rather be able to live on some of the upper floors..." Parsnips sighs. "I've picked up a thing or two about doing housework.... I could help maybe." She fidgets with herself, pressing out her cloaca as the thick-rimmed orifice demands attention... in more ways than one. She grunts as she tries to hold onto herself, what is WRONG with her? Her brows furrow in frustration, but she pushes the thoughts aside to address the situation at hand. "I can help move materials too... but I would need to return with a sturdier harness for it."

Niles looks around at the approaching people but focuses on the rude mouse. He frowns and furrows his brow at him from on top of Astara. "What's the matter, short stuff?" He asks, tail flicking testily. "Jealous you can't get laid, even in this day and age? Don't worry, it's probably not just your winning personality. People are repulsed by your face, too, I'm sure." He says, his tail poofed up.

Astara giggles as the clockwork fox reveals herself as one of hir sisters... not that it would be hard tell, given her mutation. "I hear ya, sis. Not everyone can just fork over dough for their own place like some of us, and a more permanant place than Robin's would be a welcome option." Meanwhile, shi just gives a piercing look to the little mouse. "Here, lemme see those blueprints, if I may?" Astara glances around as some familiar faces arrive, giving them a little wave; "If *we* may." Then, shi studies the blueprints, and rubs hir head, sighing. "Ahh... tough. Gotta replace a lot."

Jaqui can't help but snort at Niles' insult, even laughing softly after it's over. Quickly clearing her throat, she looks over to Astara as she speaks. Scooting a little closer and peeking at the blueprints that Astara holds, the little hyena gives a nod. "That's right... For example, if we replace all the supports on the first floor with cement or stone, the second floor /might/ just hold up. No guarantee though." she says, looking towards the mouse after. "You need to watch your mouth, I'm serious about that. Cut the crap if you want cooperation." she raises her voice a bit so that he can't ignore her anymore. Her attention then turns to the one arguing with him. "We're gonna do everything we can, I promise. I want you guys to have a place to stay too. But you need to understand that in this case, it might just not be possible. We're gonna try, but try to have realistic expectations." she tells the angry taur, her expression regretful.

Looking to the others, Parsnip has an annoyed look on her face. "Hey now..." She says softly to Astara, Jaqui, and Niles, "No need to pay rudeness with rudeness." Gesturing to the mouse, "Look at it from his perspective... he's so small, compared to most of us here, he's just plain tiny. Could you blame him for having an attitude? Lets focus on helping the problem."

The fox taur makes way for Jaqui and Astara to look over the blueprints, and, rather reluctantly under Parsnip and Niles' scrutany, he backs away as well. "So, big stuff, how do we do that?" He asks when Astara mentions replacing a lot, then listening to Jaqui talk about how much would have to be replaced as well! "Like hell, do you know how much we'd have to rip things up to do that!?" He says, the fox taur giving a soft sigh as she rubs over her breasts, the smell of her heat getting a bit more dense, "Yeah, he has a point. That would be a lot of work, and work only the smaller of us could do." She comments as she looks over at the building, "How could we do all that?"

Niles harrumphs a bit and turns his head away at Pasrnip's words, though he snickers slightly as the bird goes on to disparage the mouse's size herself. His tail unpoofs as the mouse seems to stop being so overtly rude. He shifts a bit on Astara before getting off her back completely. He grunts a bit before leaning against her tauric half, watching the proceedings with a waving tail.

Astara scratches hir head. "Y'know, at the very least, the ground floor will be reserved exclusively for people of a oversized weight. That... isn't the end of the world. Still, not a satisfying answer..." Shi takes a look to Jaqui, back to the building, and then to the blueprints again. "I mean, steel?" The taur slightly lowers hirself to help Niles get down off the ground, and then rests a hand on his head, ruffling it a little.

Still, not a satisfying answer..." Shi takes a look to Jaqui, back to the building, and then to the blueprints again. "I mean, steel? Steel would help. A lot." Jaqui gives Parsnip a llookk of disbelief at what she said, but figures arguing about it is counterproductive. Shaking her head instead, she focuses back on the task at hand. "I'd gladly help out as much as I can." she offers to the both of them, giving a soft shrug. "It's all possible, it would just take longer. The simple answer: don't try to build more support. Sorry, I know it would be more ideal to have more support for higher floors, but as far as I can tell, it's just not reasonable to do right now. I'm with Astara on this one." she says apologetically, turning her attention back to the mouse. "Sorry if you're frustrated, maybe even stressed out. But the way you're being right now? It's just not professional, and that reflects back on those you work for and with."

Parsnip looks to the mechanical fox taur and tilts hir head hir way, she thinks on the interaction between the two. "I think we should at least try. Look at us, most of us are rather on the big side... If we just pass on every difficult obstacle, we'd just be living out on the streets!" She pauses to think about how she is, indeed, living on the streets, but that is besides the point. "I think besides the mouse here, that hyena is the smallest one of us. I'm not even the smaller one around here. That.... Miranai...." She huffs, the day still fresh in her mind. "...Probably isn't even the largest around. I think it would be better if we'd try so solve this issue head on for all of us." She looks around and scrutinizes her surroundings. "This place is so weird though... I thought I was the odd one out from the farm... but here... there's so many different people... Did you see the one with pink flesh? I think she called herself a human, but she had cow features!"

At first the fox taur looks more than a little disappointed in the answers she's given, squirming there and sighing, but... Parsnip's answer seems to perk her up a bit, looking to the mouse, "Yeah, you are right, it would be a lot of work, but the big birdy over there is right too! We can get that work done and it will help everyone, mother included. We don't have to reinforce all the way up, just the first and second floors would be plenty! And reservered for us 'big ones' first. The third and fourth can be just for littles." She says, giving a few swishes of her tail, "What do you think? We can get enough material together to do this? Do the blue prints look alright?" She asks.

Niles murrs and immediately relaxes as Astara's hand lands on his head. He moves in front of her, pressing his head up into the hand as his eyes close. He shivers and tenses a bit when Parsnip mentions Miranai. "Yeah, build something to hold her up and it'll hold anything up." He says softly before opening an eye and looking up at Astara. "Don't we have access to anything stronger than steel? Some kinda... nano-fiber... stuff?" He shrugs and looks down. "Dunno why you brought me here." He mutters.

Jaqui looks between the fox girl and Parsnip, giving a brief shrug. "Well hey, if you guys wanna go through with it anyway, I'm still gonna help." she says, not commenting on the mention of her stature. She knows how little she is. "I can work on the plans with you if you want, and even help build it up. It's gonna take a lot longer, just so you know."

Astara scowls and looks down to Niles, tilting his head back up so shi can look at him. "Hey! If you're thinking you're useless... this is good experience for you. You get experience by actually experiencing things. ...*I* don't think you're useless, though." Hir scowl lightens into a small smile, before looking to hir clockwork sister. "That could work! I'll help also, with Jaqui! ...We still need to choose what we're gonna reinforce it with, and up to what weight we SHOULD reinforce it to. Ideally, a material we have. Or else we'll end up with a never-ending list of things to restore."

Parsnip nods to the fox. "Yep! You'll have my help too! I may be a big ball of fat..." She grumbles lightly at that. "...but I can pull carts like the best of them!" She nods. "You'll even have the help of all of us!" Though soon her womb clenches, the bird haunches down a bit as she strains. She growls under her breath, her rear raises up, but she half-groan half-squawks as her skirt tents behind her for a moment, followed by a heavy clack on the road. "GAH!" She grumbles aloud accidently, a pool of fluid spreading under her. Parsnip blushes heavily, but pretends her latest outburst didn't happen.
