Those latex foxes are assholes and I'll deal with them later, but these wolves are our allies. Stand down. What I want to know is, who did this? No way those foxes could do this much damage." In truth, relatively little has been done to alter the scene outside the Zephyr headquarters. Same sturdy walls, same security cameras, same employees manning the same armaments. The key difference is that a podium and a small stage have been set up, slightly elevated from street level. Facing an open area where people are obviously intended to gather, it's a simple enough affair, easily assembled and easily disassembled.
Aaron makes her way up onto the stage, looking around to see who decides to join the project. There does seem to have been some attention raised by the notices she's been putting up, but attention is different from action, and she remains quite curious as to who will actually make an appearance.
Nisha is standing, leaning against the wall just next to the doors into the Zephyr building, her arms crossed over her chest, waiting for things to kick off. When the panther taur sees Aaron moving up to the podium, she stands up straight and takes a few steps closer, to listen to what the plan is for the day.
Astara stands, waiting for the presentation to actually start, idly plaing with one of the flowers in her hair. Curiousity and anticipation is visible on her face.
Coyotes are known for their curiosity, in addition to their love of mischief and fun. Redd's certainly no exception, watching as he leans against one of the barrier walls. "Could go well, could go poorly, I'm curious how it'll end up."
Thelergramor just happens to be around, scarf pulled up over his face, all armed and guard-y. Despite losing the guard job a while ago... The Fox yawns, checks over his weapons, watches the other people around. The goggled, scarfed Thelfox peers at the podium, stands quietly a bit of distance away from it, just listening to things that're going to be said. Or not said.
Fenris saunters up in front of the stage. The burly tanuki is wearing the upper half of a police man's uniform and a badge marched "SGT CHUBBS" and a heavy gun belt. There is no gun on it. Instead there is an ornate sword hung from his waist and a long spear strapped to his back. He has even acquired a police hat from somewhere. The burly tanuki folds his arms across his chest and tilts his head to one side, willing to hear what's going on. His fat tail wags slowly behind him.
Phosphorus is leaning on her rifle closer to the Zephyr building, the butt of the weapon planted firmly against the ground. The panda's frowning slightly at the stage. Then again, she's always pretty much frowning. They peer at the crowd of gathered mutants, and the ones entering, and peer at the stage, and generally peer at anything worth peering at. Because waiting is terrible, unless you're waiting for a very good reason.
Edel was a curious sort, the tanuki, albeit a tanuki in the form of a feline today, was sure to be present. She's content to watch from the back today, the sleeves of her regal black and gold robe linked and concealing her hands, while a straw hat sits lazily upon her head. The brown furred cat turns away as her muzzle parts in a wide yawn for a moment before turning her attention back towards the stage.
Cameron padded in from the street, her hand settling her bulging pack on her shoulder. She glanced around at the crowd that was gathering at the space provided, wondering if there was any familiar faces about. Her mind ticking of things on her checklist to bring along for taking back some city blocks, hopefully no one would need to get patched up. She then checked the copy of the notice she had taken to make sure she had the right time. Spying Redd nearby she gives the coyote a small wave and another to Thelegramor as well. Seeing the chilly fox all armoured up she wandered over to him. "Hello Thelergramor...." Pondering a moment on whether she said his name correctly or not. She then smiled up at him and settled beside him to watch the crowd.
Razz Walks out of Zpehyr and just blinks "Well.. By Inari.. That's a crowd.." he mumbles, adjusting his claymore on his back as he looks about, confused. "Huh.. so....It a Party and I wasnt invited.. or.. something else?" he asks no-one in particluar. The wolf finally shrugs and Moves to lean against a Wall, ears Flciking about.
Ferus sniffs the a little nervous as the taur pads out of the lobby. A little nervous at such a large crowd of unfamiliar sights and scent, but a few familiar scents calm hir nerves. Picking a few familiar faces out of the crowd, Ferus calms her self. Pulling hir self up straight the amber and black rosettes furred feline takes a seat on her hunches at the back of the crowd. The margay taur angling hir ears forward to see what the fliers were about and to listen unblinking and intently before events call her away.
Forkbomb was enjoying a nice highly caffinated, previously barely legal energy supplement while enjoying a nice issue of the evening paper. And by evening paper, I mean the poster that he just found kinda lying around. He thought that the wording there was a bit vague, and could be easily construed as... Well. Culty. Or like a huge, /huge/ trap. Luckily, Forkbomb is nothing if not a shifty sort, so if he is walking into a trap, he's determined be the last person shot at. So, he sat at the lobby doorway for a bit before ditching his little bottle of human nitro, walks into the crowd, tugs on the hood of his windbreaker to obscure his features, and tries to blend into the scene and not bring too much attention to himself. Except for Naiko, Angus, and Razz. He gives them a quiet little wave. No point in bringing the thunder until the kool-aid or the feral hordes came out.
A thump sounds from an alley followed soon by a shadow in the dark. Coming around the corner with a clipped stride, Love steps up to the crowd. Massive wings curve and shift comfortably around her shoulders, the taloned tips gripping one another to hold in her heat. Swaying her hips as she stops with a nod and smile for so many familiar faces, the sultry Dragonesses ears swivel here and there while she double checks her kit and waits for news. Occasionally a strange sound catches her interest and has her peer into the dusk-lit street, keen eyes on the lookout for opportunity and trouble.
Zophah barely reaches the back of the crowd before Aaron started speaking, glad that she made it in time. She brushes off her fuzzy gray fur and straitens her flame-patterned bikini, catching her breath. She looks around to find only one other fox other than her in the crowd, buttoning up her lab coat. She takes one sniff at the air to see if she identifies anyone before pulling a cam bow from her back, ready to hear about clearing the streets.
From the Zephyr lobby exits Joseff, a latex fox approaching the crowd of other people. He had a flat and serious expression by his face and body language, displaying his discipline. He wears a second-hand jump suit for modesty and carries a standard-issue chainsword for defense. His eyes glance about, searching to find the sight or smell of his missing squadmate. Not finding them, he focuses to the front of the congragation for whatever announcement was being made. There was something about clearing the area of ferals being held.
Aaron looks around, smiling broadly at the sight of so many faces - some she knows, and some she has yet to know. And yet, there's work to do, so she clears her throat. "I want to thank all of you for coming today. This will hopefully represent the beginning of a new expansion for the good people of Fairhaven, allowing us to walk a larger portion of the city streets without having to worry about being attacked. If we are successful, we will also have a much larger portion of real-estate in which to operate, set up accommodations, and otherwise rebuild this city." Taking a moment to allow the implications to sink in, she continues, "It's been eight years since P-Day took so many loved ones from us, and Zephyr - while it's created a safe zone for itself and the people who go there - has made no real steps in expanding its influence. I understand that stabilizing has been a priority, but let's face it: after this long, they're pretty damned stable. Now it's time to start taking back our city! Are you with me?"
Nisha looks around over the gathered morphs, her ears twitching to the more prominent sounds some of them make as she steps closer to the podium to get a better spot for herself to hear when the speaking starts. A few of the people gathered around her she recognizes, some are merely vaguely familiar, and still more she's sure she's never seen before. As the assembled agents gather round and the air of excitement begins to pick up, the panther taur does a last minute check of her armor and weapons, then starts to do some simple stretches to limber herself up for whatever is coming next, her ears perked towards the podium all the while. She looks up when Aaron begins to speak and listens attentatively, then offers an energetic cheer when Aaron's speech comes to its climax.
Sensuen looks no worse for wear at the travel it took her to get here as she wonders what this place has been set up to do. From the crowd Sen can see a woman up on stage looking around at the assembly of people which she's recently joined in on. Sen wonders what this is all about, as the posters promised they'd 'take back the streets, but before any action must come a plan, as always. Sen looks to the crowd of gathered people and notices what they do, she even knows some of them from past encounters or professional relationships. Some are even friends of hers. At the idea Phosphorus gives Sen is glad she has a rifle on her slung on her back to provide a means of defense for her if there's any longer ranged trouble that needs taking care of quickly. Sen hears the woman on the podium talk about why they're all assembled today. She finds vague words, but some sense of purpose in them. She did try to be prepared for as much as she could be with a duffle bag containing all she doesn't have worn at the moment.
Astara has a conflicted look on her face in response to Aaron's speech, but still makes a confirming nod to show her support. She then begins surveying around to see others' reactions - and to see who else is here she might now. No one yet, but some did say they were interested in attending, so she waits and sees...
"As much as anyone. I have my doubts, admittedly." Redd isn't too visibly enthused, but he raises a hand. "What're we expecting to go against?" He rubs his muzzle, talking to nobody in particular, and hardly in the midst of the crowd.
Thelergramor rubs the back of his neck while listening to things... greets those he knows with a nod in their general direction, though he answers Cameron as she gets all up near him. "Hello. Lotta people today." The fox shrugs, strokes the barrel of his Auto-Hammer, listenfoxes.
This means violence! Win. "Heh." The Fox is otherwise quiet, though. Shifts the autohammer to his back, gets a hand on his flamethrower. For burning out feral nests. Smartfox.
Fenris stands still, his striped tail swaying gently behind him. "What do you mean?" the tanuki calls, "Space for who? For the Z? And what about people already living out here? What kind of mob justice are you planning out here?" His burly arms stay folded and he looks mildly disaproving, but he hasn't left yet.
Ferus beams a smile at Aaron talking about the date and giving it a 'we've been idle' too long spin. Shi hasn't even been alive eight years! The perspective was - Fersus loses the moment as hir comm vibrates at her. A blinking a pink twenty sided die taking up it's display. The world as she knew it wasn't that small, but what would she know about what was? Music was treasure beyond compare to her and she'd heard maybe five whole songs in her whole life. Not even that otter artiest, with his gems, really measured up. It doesn't due for the game master to be late to hir own game though. Taking one more breath deep to inhale the moment, The margay taur stands and turns hir turns around to head back in side. It wouldn't due to be late or unprepared at all. It was a interesting project, and well worth coming back to help with. semi ood luckstar Ferus whispers as she disappears back into the lobby.
"Right, then." Phosphorus notes, shifting her weight off of her weapon and onto both of her feet, picking up the rifle and cradling it in her arms. Naturally, more territory being rendered so-called 'Feral-Free' is pretty good for all of the still-sentient ones, for the time being. Easier than trying to round all of them up and rehabilitate them, at least.
"I was trying to do that for years," Edel mumbles to herself, tipping back the brim of her hat. "But who knows, maybe there will be progress this time." She steps forward and folds her hands in front of her before speaking up. "It's a great goal. Many have tried, and many have failed. But say we are successful this time, where will the ferals go that already take that space? They've got to go somewhere, after all."
Cameron looks up to the podium and nods in agreement with the eager little bunny. Her head then shaking at the very little effort to reclaim Fairhaven so fair, still at least they were going to try now at least. Smiling she looked around at the crowd and all the faces, curious to see how all the others would take it and who was going to help. She gives the battle ready fox a small nod. "Yes there is. Hopefully it will go well. Think I can stick with you if you are coming to help? You seem ready for everything." She then smiles as she turns her attention back to the bunny and the questions being thrown her way. She did not envy her at all.
Razz Huffs and frowns , while it was something he'd help in... too many People, too many to risk too many Targets.. The wolf just nods to people and walks on past. "Good luck." he says quietly, headding out into the stresses they were supposedly going to 'make safer'.
Forkbomb bites his lip. Wow, twenty seconds in and he already wants to be an asshole. That's a record. He braces himself to run. "Um. What's your plan good... Ma'am? I, uh. I am /not/ a fan of just going block to block beheading folks. Torches. Pitchforks. Farmer hats. Just saying, that way is probably not the way forward, it's kinda a step or two or ten back."
Love brushes her thumb across her belt and activates a small box, followed by a flurry of nanite activity in those around her which suffuses them with a feeling of wellness. Removing six digital camo-pattern sleeves to cover her golden horns, she settles in to clipping the blunting tips on the serated edges. As Aaron starts to speak, she stands at attention with a quick nod and cheer for the thought, her brow furrowed with a quick line of worry. Her preparadness is obvious at a glance, and anyone who knows her might guess it's in concern for her fellows as much as for herself.
Opening her winged cloak reveals a kevlar vest, dotted with clips and supplies while open down the middle to bare her naked chest to the moon, wings rustling in excited anticipation. Waiting for the moment to ask a question, she joins the crowd in its fervor.
Zophah cheers as Aaron finishes the first part of her speech. She may disagree with Zephyr's methods taking control of the city, but with 13 children and more on the way, it will be a good deal safer for them. While she waits for the speech to continue she makes her way over to Sensuen, waving to get hir attention. "Hi Sen. You here too?" She then takes a look at Sensuen's bag. "Good idea. I would have brought more myself but I'm already weighed down," She says, patting her own leather mailbag.
Joseff stays quiet, mulling over the ethics of this mob-rush against the ferals here. Still, he may as well try to follow the hirde around to see how well they can stay organized. He revs his weapon to show his readiness and begins to wander with the mob.
Anyana was heading towards Zephyr, hands in her pockets. Decked out in a t-shirt and jeans, the native taur is presently a biped painted wolf. Which she was still adjusting to. Her triangular ears flick as she hears a familiar voice. Her brows furrow as she notes the gathered crowd. She stops in her tracks, noting a good chunk of her friends and acquaintances... And judging from the scent, her dad was around here somewhere, too. Her eyes are drawn up to the primary focus - her head tilting. "Aaron?" she asks, having not seen her lapine mate in ages. "Of course I'm with you, darling," she says with a wry smile and a wink, raising her hand if the long-eared one can't hear her. Of course... Whatever she was getting into, she was new on the scene - and thus knew little of what was going on. How typical.
Brahms crosses his arms and listens to Aaron, then the people who apparently had doubts. He yawns a bit. He didn't even have to check his stuff, he was always ready anyway. What he did have, was that hunger. But that would hopefully change. On the other hand he was wondering just what exactly did Aaron meant or what exactly she was talking about? To whom exactly they were taking the city for? And from what? Ferals? It's not like they were a viable threat to him anymore. He could fight hundreds of them in his sleep. But curiosity had him. And he was wanting to find out what exactly was the plan. He moves through the crowds to get closer to his mate and slides an arm around her. But he doesn't talk yet.
Aaron can hear the various objections raised, but rather than being put off or upset, she seems...satisfied? "You have doubts, and that's good. I assure you, anyone who's here to hunt ferals down, this is not the right mission for you. Combat will be what happens if things go /wrong/." Taking a moment to draw in a deep breath, she continues. draws in a deep breath. "Before we get started, I want to explain our mission. Our goal is NOT to set up the barricades and armaments ourselves, nor is it to pick fights with the local ferals. This is a fact-finding mission. The intent here is to investigate the surrounding area, scope out the damage and make sure that the part we're hoping to reclaim is feral-free, and compile information. I'm not exactly Zephyr's biggest fan, but the fact is that we're going to need their resources to set up the defensive perimeter we need to make this project a success." Continuing onward, the rabbit doe smiles. "The good news is that I've been working closely with the local ferals for years, and most - MOST - of them have agreed to cede this land to us without a fight."
Nisha's ears droop and she immediately quiets down after her cheering is met by so much silence from the other mutants around. She furrows her brow and crosses her arms again as she listens to the assorted words from the rest of the crowd. Not one to be needlessly argumentative, the panther taur holds her tongue for now, in the hopes that some more assurances from Aaron will draw more enthusiasm from the rest of the crowd. As vague as some may think its objective, Nisha sees merit in it, and plans to assist in any way she can. As Aaron responds to the grumbling amongst the crowd, Nisha smiles again and nods as she looks out over the small sea of various morphs assembled around the podium.
Sensuen just tries to keep calm, but does voice her concerns, siding with Fenris as she asks, "So, could we give the homeless out there homes? I mean the civil ones, the ones that are at least willing to reason, maybe even ferals that have some hope of getting their lives back, in whatever capacity that means now. I'm all for housing projects, but not if it earns us the resentment of otherwise useful people, people with skills and knowledge, who knows if it's from before p-day or not, it's worth a shot though." seems as though somebody else might take offense to that sentiment. Sen might be willing to work out a solution with them though, however many people that turns out to be though it doesn't seem to be that many as people voice their opinion not to be an angry mob armed with torches and pitchforks for once. Sen just takes a deep breath as she prepares to deal with the people who don't like her position on this topic. Sen looks to Zophah and says, "Hi there, yeah I brought some general stuff. And you can expand that mail bag if you want, I've got a kid who can help, but later ok?" before she ends up covering her ears with her tentacles at the sound of revving chainswords. Sen hears Anyana a bit later voicing her opinion, and catches sight of the paintings of a painted wolf form, Sen still has hope that she'll come around, maybe the painted wolfess has empathy after all, maybe she's naive. The sea angel still gives her time to see more of the situation than she might be aware of as of yet before she jumps to conclusions before they both know what exactly will be going on. Sen listens to Aaron's words and says, "Oh, sorry for directing at you what I said earlier then, it's a good plan and I agree with it." trying to make up for what she said earlier, but still, she does hope she's changed some minds in the audience, even a little bit.
Astara smiles a bit when she sees Brahms show up, and walks through the crowd over to him and taps him on the shoulder and gives him a light wave. She then refocuses her attention on Aaron, her posture more relaxed now that she's more reassured in what the project leader is saying. She speaks up now, perhaps not loud enough to be heard by Aaron, but at least /someone/ will hear it: "How will the land be used and distributed? It's hard to get on board if it's just going to go directly into Zephyr control; and if it isn't, will the individuals or organizations that inhabit them have a good degree of independence from Zephyr itself? I /really/ don't want Fairhaven to just because Zephyr's company town..." she says, sighing.
"That's not exactly my concern. You all realize, ferals aren't the only ones who hold territory out here." Redd points upwards, "There's more than a few non-human entities at play here. Some of em staked territory out even. They don't give a fuck about us, really." The coyote shrugs. "I suppose a couple blocks is a good start, though."
Thelergramor shrugs to Cameron. "Yeah, if you want to, sure." The fox then looks at the others. "Morality's overrated. They're ferals, they walk around fucking raping people, so forgive me if I've got no remorse for anything I have to do to them." Thel smirks, little bit of an outburst there. "But, fine, combat's the last thing you want. Would be better to just go remove them, but fine." Thel gestures vaguely, yawns again, resettles his hands on his fire tosser.
Clearly prefers the angry mob with torches route.
Fenris seems to open up a bit at this latest revelation. He unfolds his arms and rests his fists on his ample hips. "I don't like putting more power in Zephyr's hands," he says, "But I don't mind using their resources. Especially if we're not taking people's homes." He shoots a frown over at Thel and his sentiments, "What is it you want us to do?" he asks Aaron.
Edel stretches out and nods. "Well. I can't say I've seen too many places where the ferals don't roam, here in the city. But if you've convinced some of them to give up land then so be it. Just tell me what you'd have us do," she says simply brushing her bangs back and tucking them under her hat.
Cameron thought a moment and figured the rabbit's plan might work. Though she figured there was always the possibility of some other group of ferals seeing the chance to move on in instead of them. She then looks into the crowd with a small frown at so many people more eager to bash in some heads then to secure a new safe zone for people and agents alike. Her eyes looked at the various people gathered, wondering who would stay now that it was not a kill mission and who would leave to go else. She smiles at Thel and nods, glad to have a meat shiel... I mean guardian should anything go wrong. She then frowns as he continues and fumes a little. "Or worse... But they might be the next us in a day or a weeks time." She then shook her head some, especially given that they practically need to be turned to ash to prevent a feral from getting back up at a later date. She then looked up and Thel a moment. "Glad to have you around any way if things go south."
Vaeri silently wraps her tail around Brahms waist and pulls him closer, leaning on him gently and glancing up at him for a moment and saying to him "I bet you were hoping there'd be a fight huh?" before turning her attention back to Aaron and waiting to see what happens next.
Forkbomb leans back a bit, looking as if a bunch of his objections melted away. He wasn't gonna cheer, because as aforementioned, he's an asshole, but he does so far have a silent stance of approval going on. He's cool with Big Z going for a land grab. "Dude, Big Z can't manage space for shit. They've been out here for eight years and have managed to fully control /one/ building. Their whole input to this is probably going to begin with the cheapest equipment freecred can buy and end with putting up a couple of billboards for cock-expanding pills once agents do the actual work." Shit, he probably said that a bit too loud. He looked over his shoulders, feeling a touch of the old paranoia.
Zophah shakes her head at Sensuen. "No need. I can always change it myself with nanomagic." She then turns her attention back to Aaron's speech, getting a bit calmer now that 'cleaning the streets' doesn't mean '...with blood.' So she thinks alloud: "I may not need by bow after all. And maybe I can get some of my illusions working too."
Loveblade listens to the babble around her, everyone shouting their piece and few talking amongst themselves in a bid to be heard. Keeping calm, Love stays alert. This much noise, if any Ferals were out there listening, they might take offense at the topic. So much noise...too much for them to not have alerted anyone nearby. Frowning at the thought, creating resistance before approaching someone was a sure-fire way to provoke a fight, and she'd like to see this done with a minimum of fuss.
Considering what to say, she takes a deep breath before loud enough to be heard "Aaron, I'm glad you're spear-heading this project. Did you have a plan of action in mind?" her purr rumbles at the last, lifting her chin with a little chirrup of greeting for her lapine companion.
*speaking just loud enough
Joseff glances around. Hearing that the street sweep didn't have to be messy gave him a little more confidence in this mob. As much as he felt like speaking, the questions he would've asked have been asked already by others. He waited to hear what plan this agent had for the expansion.
Anyana moves in closer into the group, hoping that Aaron would spot her. As a rule, if one of her mates was utterly gung-ho about something, as Aaron obviously was, she was behind it too. Now if only she could get up on the stage and talk to her... To see just what was going on. Something about Zephyr getting more control...?
Brahms smiles at Astara. He then focuses on what the other morphs had to say, including Astara's own doubts. "Clearly I would also have gone with the route that gives me more fo- focus on the matter." He quickly ammends "But..." His eyes focus on Aaron "If we are going to do it the easy way, I have no qualms about it either." He yawns a bit again as he keeps an arm around Vaeri's waist. "Fighting is more interesting, baby." He answers to his mate before he grows quiet again.
Foxheart wanders past the lobby. She does notice the commotion, the kitsune hybrid resting her hands on the hilt of her twin blades. "Fighting offers no long term solution to ferals. Clean the streets on a regular basis." The kitsune does wander closer to listen to the speaker, spotting a few friends in the way.
Jaro works hir way through the crowd to sidle up next to Nisha. "Hey, sorry I'm late. What's going on? I caught something about not fighting and ferals moving?" shi asks the big 'taur. "Though it sounds like someone's opinion of the bureaucrats is right up there with mine," shi mutters, flicking the tip of hir tail in the direction of Forkbomb's voice.
Parthenia walks out looking like she've got a wrong memo. Armed and armored to the teeth the mutant hating human has joined the gathering that didn't look all that hostile at all! Smooth skinned population was kept to minimum too, but the subject was sensetive! Perhaps there will be blood. The words will be said the things will be done and at best a few hairy bastards will die in the ordeal. Staying in the back lines, she pulled out a pack of cigaretes, pulled out one of them cancer sticks and got it going. Fork there had a good point going about Zephyr being good for shit. She was going to add a thought or two of her own but... Her uniform kinda had Zephyr logos all over it so... Gotta have at least a bit of a brand pride, huh? And they did pay her enough...
Tyron quickly rushes to the entrance of Zephyr after he oversleep. As picks up the pace as he sees a huge crowd outside. As he approches he sees the bunny on a small podium and hears bit and pieces of a fight. Since he was late and did not hear what is going on he tries to make his way through the crowd and find someone who can fill him in. In the end he asks a random person next to him what is going on which turns out to be Parthy. "Hey Party, do you think you can catch me up to speed on what we will be doing. It sounds like we are reclaiming territory from the bits of conversation I picked up, but I am also hearing about a fight? I am not sure." he says with a confused look.
Aaron draws in a slow breath, and reminds herself that people are going to have differing priorities and /she expected that/, so it's okay. "I'm afraid we need help from Zephyr on this, and they're still a business...and to get something FROM a business, you have to give something TO a business. Unless we can get enough normal agents to staff the walls 24/7, we'll need their employee force to handle the expansion. I'm not in love with the idea either, but if we want to make things safer for the weaker residents of this town, I don't see a lot of options." With that, her gaze turns more serious as she looks out among the crowd. "Now, if we're going to do this, we're going to do this intelligently. I don't want anyone at risk. So I have a few rules that I need everyone to follow if you're going to be part of this project. These rules exist for your benefit and for the benefit of our goal, and they need to be heeded 100% of the time."
Aaron softly churrls, "Rule #1: We go and investigate in teams. Each team consists of no less than one combatant and one expert. They can not be the same person! The combatant's job is to protect the expert, stand guard, and deal with any attacks. Experts will be equipped with a bell; if you are being attacked, your job is to ring the bell and keep ringing it until help arrives. Ferals will not want to fight us if we support one another. Experts, your standard role is to take measurements, note damages, and otherwise gather information in your assigned area that will go toward the report I write for Zephyr."
Aaron softly churrls, "Rule #2: If you need to leave, I completely understand. This mission is not intended to interrupt your life, and I know that some of you have places to be and people to do. I only ask that if someone needs to leave, /the whole team/ comes back here to report in. The person who's leaving can freely do so, and their partner will get a new assigned partner as soon as one comes available. I expect people to join us late, so you probably won't have to wait long. And those are the two big rules. Any questions?"
Nisha's smile grows and she lets her arms fall to her sides as most of the dissent simmers down a little bit. The assembled dislike of Zephry drags at her a bit, though that's nothing she's unfamiliar with, so she continues to hold her tongue. No need to get anyone riled up again so soon after they calmed down. The panther takes a moment to secure her weapons at the assurance that combat isn't guaranteed. As Jaro sidles up next to her, Nisha looks down in slight surprise and smiles. "Hey there. It's alright, nothing's really happened yet. C'mere, let's get you a better view." The panther taur leans down and picks Jaro up and lifts the small mouse onto her lower back, then turns so Jaro will have a view of the podium, instead of just Nisha's upper back. As she listens to the parameters of the mission, Nisha humms for a moment, then looks back at Jaro. "Well, that sounds like it would fit us alright. I can take the measurements and stuff." She says after Aaron finishes her speech.
Sensuen looks to what the gathered crowd does and says in support of her words, or maybe in opposition, she doesn't really know quite yet. Sen nods to Zophah and says, "Alright then." to Zophah before she listens to Loveblade, it seems Love's efforts go beyond the immediate needs of the crowd that Sen got caught up in. Sen gives a sigh before she nods to herself, getting her wits together for everyones' sakes out here, or at least giving her best shot to do so. Sen takes in the information that people operate in pairs out here one stands guard while the other one takes measurements and notes. Sen's not quite so equipped for measuring stuff out as she didn't bring that stuff with her. Maybe Zephyr will supply tools if people didn't bring their own.
"Experts being what... Surveyors, Psych specialists, Architects?" Redd calls up. "I can do any of those, or fighting..." The coyote scans the crowd, picking out a couple of friends amongst. "At least I see a few people I know I can work with."
Thelergramor smiles behind his facescarf at Cameron. "Glad to be around. Hope it doesn't go too badly. Big numbers here." The Fox nods again, resumes listening to all of the things being said.
"I'm good with the rules. I'm surprised you didn't say 'no fucking while you work.'" The fox snickers, waits... Is very obviously a combat guy.
Astara taps the fingers of one of her hands on the side of her face, a little lost in thought, and thinking out loud; "Ahh, it's been a while since I've last done some proper surveying..." she muses, shaking her head slightly and widening her eyes as she brings her focus back out of her head. "I'm in, if I can be a Expert!" she says with a smile, looking around to see who else asides from Brahms and Vaeri she recognizes in the crowd.
Fenris raises his hand. "Dibs on Edel!" he cries, eager to join forces with a fellow tanuki. Whatever misgivings he may have about working with/for/or nearby Zephyr are forgotten at the prospect of adventure.
Edel tilts her head to the side, considering that before shrugging and stepping forward, tail flicking. "I can be whatever you need me to be. My sword is second to none, but I make for a good expert as well," she says, smiling at Fenris. "Ah, my tanuki champion. Yes, I would be happy to work with you."
Cameron nods at the rules laid out by the small bunny up on the podium, they sounded fair to her. Her hands dipping into each of her pockets and pouches to see what sort of tools she hand taken with her as welll as any weapons. Looking over to Thel and then to the other armoured figures she realized she should be the expert. Hopefully her tools would let her take measures, if not she always had a rolled up rule. She then looked up at Thel curiously, wondering if he would let her tag along. "Can I go with you and be your expert? You seem ready to take on a tank or three."
Vaeri shrugs and snuggles into Brahms arms looking up at him again and saying to her mate, "Looks like there may just be a little bit of combat, unless we end up scaring all the ferals." still listening for any more announcements
Forkbomb looks around. Well. Looks like this is happening. And if it's happening, he's getting his cut of the city. "... Tech Expert here. You put me in front of a computer or a fixture, I can probably find out anything you need to know about it. If you need me to do, like, survivorman stuff, you better put me on Combat team. I'm not the greatest at combat, but I know how to work a gun good enough to put bullets center mass. Good question is, who's getting paired with who?"
Loveblade catches a shadow in the doorway, spotting the relaxed stance of a practiced warrior, a pose she knows well. Waving Foxheart over, she moves to the right and comes closer to the steps, taking in the new view of the street while scanning the crowd.
"I would happily take either role, but if Foxheart would join, I'd enjoy her protection." considering for a moment, she pauses to turn to Aaron "Were you going to assign teams?"
Zophah looks over to Sensuen, feeling good about pairing up with hir. "You can join me! I already have plenty of instraments for analysis. You be my guard and I'll do the surveying." She then looks through her bag and pulls out a fresh notebook, getting ready to take notes.
Foxheart makes her way over to Redd at that mention, punching him in the arm with surprising firmness. "Since I got stuck in a plush form I got cuddled and poked and squeezed sore yesterday by my friend." She huffs softly at that. Loveblade gets a wave, herself, but she has affairs to settle! "So many guns about, too. Not sure how well I'd fit into any squad with only swords.'
Jaro gives a thumbs up from Nisha's back. Shi's sure nobody can see it, because, y'know, Nisha's upper torso is taller than shi is in hir entirety, but stil. "I have absolutely no problem watching your back. And if there's a smaller space that needs attention, we can probably swap roles, too, since I'm at least passable with the tech and mapping type things."
Parthenia takes a puff of her cigarette listenning to the bunny. This could work out in her favour, one way or the other. "I'm sure Zephyr would be more then happy to keep me and few other agents busier. This after all will make streets a little cleaner which in the long run may be a good for them. Please, kindly sign me up." She sighs rolling her eyes, a good time for another puff. "And what is this nosense about taking us away from our life? If you can go out without something humping your boots, it is an unavoidable part of our life. We need to get as many creatures involed as possible!" Listening to the others talk, she can't help but let out another sigh. "The rabbit there didn't say anything about 'not fucking' because we aren't a group of ferals in heat or rut who are going out for a daily walk..." She smirks addind quietly to that. "Well... I suppose some may as well be."
Tyron hears the instructions the bunny named Aaron gave out and says to himself "Well I guess I will be the combatant." since he knows that info gathering is not his strong suit in the slightest. He then looks around if to see if there is anyone he knows that would like to pair up with him, otherwise he will pair up with a stranger. He looks down at Parthy and asks "You mind if I team up with you? You might not think much of me, but I can take a hit when need."
It did take a while, but it wasn't so long before a figure familiar to some flew close to the stage. As it landed, loud mechanical whirring could be heard as its wings retracted. Stepping closer and with almost no idea of what was going on except for what she read on the posters and flyers, the very sizable humanoid robot looked around the crowd, scanning it. "So uh. Who's in charge? I'm pretty sure I'm slightly late, but if you're doing what I think you're doing, perhaps you'll need a little bit of fire support." And in fire support, Naiko wasn't lacking, counting with an arsenal ranging from high caliber mounted firearms to missiles and various types of drones all over the robot's several mounting points.
Aaron smiles broadly as she looks out among the group. "I've been assured by my contacts in Zephyr that if we can form a good report that gives enough info, there's a good chance this can actually be a thing. I've been doing enough architecture work lately that I'm pretty sure I can write one up, so long as I have the data I need. Now, if we can just distinguish who wants to be an expert versus who wants to be a combatant, we can get this mission underway. Also, if you have a specific person (or people, groups don't have to be precisely two) that you want to work with, come up here and call their name." A pause follows, and she notes, "Also, anyone who's willing to pitch in a little extra, this mission will also extend underground into the sewer system. I don't want something sneaking in under our feet. I can't promise that there aren't ferals down there, so combatants might get a bit of a workout, and the damage from neglect is likely to be more extensive. Note: since your bells wouldn't be heard above-ground, nobody goes sewer-side until we have at least three teams ready to do so."
Nisha grins and gives a sharp nod to Jaro. "Sounds good. This should work nicely, if I'm hearing the plan correctly." The panther taur looks back to the podium, and Aaron, to hear more detailed instructions. She glances out over the sea of heads and her height lets her see there seem to be several teams already forming, or formed. With her prospective teammate already standing on her back, Nisha takes care to prevent Jaro from falling off her back while she walks towards the podium. "I don't know I have to particularly call hir name because shi's right here, but... Nisha and Jaro reporting for duty." The panther taur says as she stands at the base of the raised podium.
Astara takes a deep breath, and walks up to the stage to sign up for duty. "I'd like to be the expert for a group," she says, before looking out into the small crowd. "and Vaeri, you okay to group up in lieu of Brahms? I figure even if he was still here, we'd probably still be together, too!"
"Hehehe." Redd chuckles at Foxheart. "But you make such a cute plushie! Maybe we could use a plushie version of you to negotiate with ferals." He gives her a hug, and raises a hand. "We'll volunteer for sewer duty if you need someone for it. Otherwise, perfectly fine topside." The coyote watches the others, and whispers something in the feathery kitsune's ears.
Thelergramor snickers at Cameron, shrugs. "I don't know about a tank, but a few ferals, sure. You and me then." The Fox nods, shifts about on his feet. "Gonna be a long night, I think."
Thel, still smirking, whistles up to Aaron as he approaches the podium. "Yo, me and Cameron got the sewers." Glances back at her, shrugs.
Fenris jerks his head toward the stage as he joins Edel. "You wanna be an expert?" he asks lightly, "I'm not all that good at measuring and note taking. I can do whatever else you want, though!" He pulls a packet of cookies from his gun belt, takes one, then passes the packet to Edel. "Or we could take someone else along," he offers happily, "If you don't want to be the expert." The burly tanuki bounces on his toes. "Let's boogie!" he says with glee. It has been a while since he has really explored the area near Zephyr.
Edel offers a little shrug, smiling at Fenris. "If you do not wish to measure, and if we can't find a third, I'll be the expert of our pair. I imagine it won't change much anyway. I've still got my weapons on me and am not planning on giving them up just because I'll be taking measurements."
Cameron turned back to the bunny and nodded as she explained some more about the task ahead of them. Seemed they had quite the task ahead of them regardless of the role one would take. Still she could likely be of use here as an expert, she had some knowledge of structures and about buildings. She then looked at Thel and then all the gear that he was decked out in, and given his outburst earlier it seemed likely he was going to let out some frustration out on some ferals if he could. After a moment she follows the fox a step and holds up her hand before stopping beside the large vulpine morph. She then pointed to him. "I can be his expert."
Forkbomb looks around with a smarmy look on his face. "Oh, come on. I'm starting to feel like the last kid picked in dodgeball. I'm getting high school flashbacks here." Eh, but fine. Any way that he can get out of a dangerous, horrifying job is just plain alright by him.
Vaeri shrugs and says "That's fine it would be even better if Brahms comes along too, but I guess it's alright for now if it's just the two of us"
Zophah slings her bow back onto over her shoulder, taking Sensuen's hand and raising her own. She then walks up to the stage. "I'm Zophah and I'll be the Expert for the pairing with Sensuen here." She then takes a look back to Sensuen and asks "Are you ok doing sewer duty with me if possible? I can give you a good bath afterwards if need be."
Foxheart tilts her head and listens to Redd for a moment. If she had any reaction to what he said she wasn't showing it past the light grimace at the mention of a sewer. Perhaps she shouldn't have worn a nice kimono today! "Is this the first time we're fighting together, then?" She asks softly.
Parthenia turns to Tyron the bull, she looks rather annoyed at the crazy suggestion of her teaming up with him! A heavy sighs can be heard as she rolls her eyes looking away from him. "I suppose I could bare to be around you for some ammount of time." The cigarette returns to her mouth as she looks around the croud. None look as good as she would have loved them to, so.. There wasn't much of a choise really. "As long as you can manage to keep yourself up to date without me having to baby sit your large ass, I think we can manage to accomplish something." She mumbles letting the smoke escape through her lips as she've spoken. "Anyways though... Seem like it's my turn for glory." She sorta walked in the direction of the stage, though there were quite a few beasts between her and the bunny, so she just yelled out. "Parthenia Kairis here! I will just fill the gap. If you need an expert or a combatant I will take the role." She crinkled her nose. "Another human would be an ideal partner." She raises her hand pointing at one who was picked last for dodgeball. "Like... That guy!"
Tyron hears what she said about the sewers and he gets a little excited. It has been a while since he got to use the sword he made and he is dying to use his new drone. Having been shot down by Parthy he shrugs and walks up to the podium. "Tyron will be a combatant for any group lacking one. I am not picky."
"So, bells, squads, experts, combatants? I guess I'm in just in time then." Naiko walked up closer to the stage and closer to the bunny. "While I don't have anyone specific in mind to call, I gladly volunteer to be a combatant. I've been handling ferals for quite some time now so I don't think a couple more would be a problem." Scanning the crowd a little more, she tilted her head, unable to really recognize anyone.. Except for.. "Oh. Hey there." She waved over to Forkbomb, Parthenia and Sensuen, recognizing the humans and the sea angel.
Aaron does a little cross-referencing with her comm unit to determine names. "All right. Teams and assignments are as follows! Northwest doesn't need to be checked out; that's Lyli's Emporium, and Zephyr has been taking good care of it. Nisha and Jaro! Take the northern street, up to the next intersection. Check the outsides of buildings. Astara and Vaeri! You've got the restaurant to the northeast. Thel and Cameron, street to the east, up to the intersection. Redd and Foxheart, you've got..." She pauses, making a slight correction. "...the warehouse to the southwest. Fenris and Edel, street to the west. Zophah and Sensuen, you've got the car wash to the southeast. Parthenia, Forkbomb, you've got the street to the south. Which leaves us Tyron and Naiko. If you're willing to be a team, We've actually got the cardinal directions covered, so if you want to hang back in case someone needs to go, that's fine. If you want to head out, I understand that too. Your call." Looking at the teams, she holds up a bell and a flashlight. "Each team gets one of each. I explained the bell; I hope you know what to do with the flashlight. Everyone got their assignments?"
Nisha waits for Aaron to call out her and Jaro's assignment, then nods and looks back over her shoulder. "Alright, ready to go?" She asks, then takes a moment to let Jaro get hirself settled on Nisha's back. When Aaron hands out the bells and flashlights, Nisha takes the ones she's offered. She knows where they're going, but she decides not to run off just yet, instead simply stepping out of the way of the other teams until such time as she is given the go ahead to move out.
Sensuen looks to the people pairing up but isn't quite sure if she should pair up with Zophah or someone else. Sen will pick Zophah, since she's an old friend. Speaking of old friends, Sen looks to Cameron and Loveblade and wonders about teaming up with some of her old friends, of course they all have a job to do, but she knows their capabilities quite well, hence the advantage in working with them. It seems that while considering these advatages Sen let the others go ahead of her. Sen does appreciate Zophah's lead however and gives a nod to Zophah as she says. "It's ok, I've been down there a few times before, I know some of my way around there but I don't use it for travel very much because, yeah it stinks." Sen then catches Naiko's wave as she seems to know her, but Sen might not know the giant robot from sight quite yet. Sen does hope that robot goes Iron Giant to protect her if she joins up though. Sen gets her assignment and notes it's the carwash to the South East, repeating that to Zophah and Aaron at an appropriate volume for each, enough to be heard, but not alert any ferals beyond, hopefully, before she looks to her teammate and asks, "Ready to go?" while she takes the allotted gear in case they need it.
Astara walks over to Vaeri, looking up at the dragon and nodding. "Well, restaurant it is, eh?" she says, putting the bell and flashlight in an easy-to-get place. "Can't say I'm already familiar with the location, though."
"Warehouses are always fun, never know what you'll find in em." Redd takes the bell and flashlight. "Ready to head out, Foxy?"
Thelergramor shifts impatiently, goes to take the flashlight and bell. Passes the Bell to Cameron as he moves past her. "You heard her, east street it is." He nods, still smiling behind his scarf, the cold fox then starts heading off towards his objective.
Fenris is a little disappointed that he wasn't assigned to the old restaurant, but he trots up and accepts the bell and flashlight before returning to Edel and passing along the tools to his partner. "Forward!" he says happily, trotting off toward the assigned street. The happy little smile on his face and the skip in his step making him look like a kindergartener off to a playdate, rather than a professional agent on a potentially dangerous mission.
Edel chuckles quietly and takes the tools, eyeing the bell for a moment before shrugging and following after Fenris. "With luck we won't end up in combat, because I don't plan on staying out of it if we do," she says, winking behind her glasses. "Bloodlust always was one of my weaknesses!"
Cameron gave the bunny a small nod before she stepped up to take a bell from the impatient fox. She gives it a small shake to make sure it is working before stepping back to Thel with a small smile. "I can see perfectly fine in the dark. A perk of being a cat girl." She then pulled out a sleder sword from her pack and strapped it to her waist. She gave him and nod before jogging a moment to catch up to his longer strides, setting off for the street to the east.
Vaeri nods, "I don't know it well either but oh well, We'll learn the area while we're over there, I'm ready whenever you are, and whenever Aaron tells us we can go" she lets out a soft sigh and ensures her pistol is well secured as she prepares to head out.
Forkbomb whips his flashlight around before shining it at the lady who decided to take on him. Take him on. They'll be gone. In about an hour. Whatever. He decided that a lady by her standards needed a gun to cover his back with, so he handed her one that he got from a man around town. Said something about it being a Mossy 590? Whatever. It has gold bits. Ladies love gold bits. "So, south we go?"
Loveblade waits for her name to be called, not quite believing that such a basic oversight happened. Clearing her throat with a little nod to Aaron, Love quirks her brow. "Seems you missed one." she says, smirking at the thought. "Put me down for either role. Excellent at battlefield control, but would be even happier making notes. This touches on research that I've been doing into Feral populations and some of the people out there have received initial treatment and assessment from me. I have the skills to help us approach them peacefully." she finishes and takes stock, "If you need me working overwatch, I can take to the skies for observation. Makes me wish I had a digital camera."
Zophah smiles and flicks her foxy tail that Sensuen agreed to come with her, then looking puzzled at the location of their survey. "There is a car wash in Fairhaven? I've been here a year and I never knew..." She then thinks at the possibilities. "I must take notes! But first, our tools." She then takes the bell for herself and passes the flashlight to Sensuen, taking out a pair of light-intensification goggles from her pack. Slipping them onto her forehead, she explains "I made them after the last time I had an exploration. I couldn't see in the damn dark!"
Foxheart laughs. "In before we find out it's your warehouse and the reason for all those ferals is Rorne being there." Foxheart sticks her tongue out of her muzzle right back at Redd, affectionately licking his nose in retaliation. "Right, you lead the way, then??
Joseff walks over to the dragoness Loveblade. He taps her shoulder to get her attention. "Excuse me, ma'am. I'm here as a guard for the pairs everyone is getting into. Do you happen to be doing the notes?"
Jaro nods sharply from atop Nisha's back. "North we go, then!" shi says. "You know, I go out that gate all the time, but I've never actually stopped to look around, unless you count the Mall."
Parthenia smirks. Such luck! Not only she've avoided the grouping with a mutant, she've got a chance to hang out with another human! They've met before but she didn't really remeber what was his view on the situation at hand. She was shallow enough to just be happy with the way he looks to overlook his beliefs for now though. The gun was accepted and the gold was inspected! She liked it. "Indeed! I'll take point!" And she did!
Tyron shrugs and says "Sure I don't mind hanging back unless a group would like some extra muscle." He then starts to take a seat on the ground as all the teams start to move out. He then turns to Naiko and says with a smile "I guess we are the leftovers...or not." He then sees the sexy dragoness speak up and says "Well if you need a combatant, me and Naiko don't have teams so you can choose." He then sees Joseff pairing with the dragoness and sits back down.
"I'm completely okay with being support along with.. Tyron, is it?" Naiko looked over at the Minotaur for a moment, inspecting him. "I could also stand watch at the Zephyr building, looking out for flashlight signals the bells to provide support when necessary." Stepping up a little closer to Tyron, she noticed the rather cheerful tanuki, even raising her eyebrow a little bit. "Well... That's.. A type attitude I've never really seen before... But okay." The tanuki certainly.. Caught her eye, so much that she whispered over to Aaron, "Are you sure those two are going to be alright?"
After that, the robot also finally noticed Loveblade, sending her a wave, faintly recognizing her.
Aaron watches on as the majority of the groups disperse toward their specific goals, then turns to Tyron, Parthenia, Loveblade, and Joseff. "I actually have plans for you." she advises them. "Loveblade, you're in a unique position to offer some aerial coverage. If you could keep an eye on the teams from the rooftops and lend help if it's needed, that would be awesome." Looking to Joseff, Tyron, and Naiko, she notes, "I'd like you three to stand guard. While you're here, you're not far from any one group; if you hear bells, there's a hard limit to how far away you are, no matter where they are. Even if they come from more than one direction at once." Naiko & Jaro and Fenris & Edel will find that the areas nearer Zephyr HQ are much better-kept than the opposite side, predictably enough. There's assorted miscellany among the streets, the occasional pothole and damage to the road, but nothing too rough. Thelergramor & Cameron will find evidence of recent combat, a kicked-over fire hydrant and dented lampposts, and some of the nearby walls have been damaged. Parthenia & Forkbomb will find much the same to the south, though the damage is a little more extensive; the buildings in this area will need work before they can safely be inhabited.
Nisha arches an eyebrow as she sees a few people jumping the gun and leaving already, but realistically they know everything they need to, so she doesn't pay it much heed. At Jaro's comments, Nisha grins and nods. "I know what you mean... I almost always fly out of here, so... Walking will be a novel experience, I'm sure... Everything is already only vaguely familiar..." Nisha says as she glances at the buildings around them. Once Aaron says her final bit of advice for them, Nisha looks back over her shoulder again. "Alright, we're headed out, then." The panther taur says, then heads off to her team's assignment, slowly working her speed up to a jogging pace to give Jaro time to adjust on her back.
Sensuen looks to Zophah and says, "That's quite handy. Usually takes my eyes hours to adapt to the darkness. Do you want me to take the flashlight then? I might want to web it to my rifle as a sort of sight, but if we're going to be in close quarters I've got a laser pistol." before she looks southeast to their destination and can't quite see the car wash from here. Sen takes some binoculars out of her duffle bag as they'll be useful when they're closer to the car wash, but not quite yet inside of it as she gets anxious to head out there and do work.
Joseff takes listens to miss Aaron's instructions and states, "Alright," before heading to the southern part of Zephyr's current border.
Tyron smiles and looks up at Naiko the giant robot. He then hears his orders from Aaron and nods. "Got it. So just stay on guard and help any team that is within reach." He then gets up and starts partolling the northern part of Zephyr's borders.
"It is worth noting that if more aerial support is required I can also provide. After all, the wings aren't just for show." Naiko added, activating some of her drones and setting them to patrol mode. "Anyhow, I haven't really seen you before around these parts, miss." The robot glanced over to the bunny, inspecting her closely. "So, what's your name and what do you usually do around here?" She curiously asked.
Loveblade smiles broadly, plush lips parting to reveal sharp teeth and a long forked tongue "I can do that, quite well. Will keep in touch via Comms, so you can co-ordinate" she clicks a few things, locking them in place while slipping on some climbing gloves and moving off a bit. Her wings boom, a magnificent span spreading out to either side with enough room to work as she flexes her neck and blinks those golden eyes, taking a look around before raising them up above her head. The first downstroke sends a wave of air flowing across the ground, rustling leaves and blowing grit into the air, quickly followed by a second.
ising with speed, she's soon out of the circle of light, a dark shadow passing over the moon which quickly disappears as she levels off to glide silently out of sight and on patrol.
While Astara and Vaeri take the lay of the land in the restaurant amd Zophah and Sensuen start taking notes about the car wash, Redd & Foxheart are apparently a bit more...active? An explosion can be heard from the warehouse, and Aaron's reaction is immediate. Turning to Joseff, Tyron, and Naiko, she says, "GO." and points to the southwest! And yet, no bells have been rung, encouraging others to continue their work. Measurements to be taken, damage to be counted, information to be gathered. Whether or not any of the rest of you abandon your station is your choice!
Thelergramor looks over the area, which saw combat recently. "...I didn't do it." He clarifies to Cameron, then moves to stand up the hydrant. "Something strong, though, clearly. Fun..." The soldier fox turns on his flamethrower, the flame at the front flicking to life as he does.
Thel looks over the damaged walls and dented posts... Shrugs again. "Alright, so... Get to epxerting then, Cameron, I'll watch your back."
Fenris walks along ahead of Edel, spinning the long bladed spear he has unhooked from his back holster. He does a little dance as he goes, humming to himself and turning to and fro, the things hanging from his belt jingling in time with his steps. To the untrained eye he probably looks more than silly. But he is covering all angles. Probably just an accident.
Edel pauses, lifting her hand. "Just a moment," She says, pausing to measure the width and depth of the potholes as she goes. "They aren't that big of a deal since we don't have vehicles, but I suppose it's worth recording in case they want that kind of information."
Cameron frowns as she spies the signs of some combat, her eyes darting at every nook and cranny with caution. Seeing the walls she looks to which are damage and takes note of them as she moves, her small body more adept at sneaking behind the arctic fox then for battle. Her slitted eyes peering into the dark and her nose sniffing as she searched for what lay just out of sight. Speaking softly to Thel as they moved. "Seems something was busy a little while ago." She then nodded as she stopped and began to check the walls for damages and whether they were still sound or not. She left everything on the street alone such as the steet lamp. It was mainly scrap at this point anyway.
Joseff revs his chainsword into idle mode. "I'm going to the warehouse. Miss Blade, I'd like some backup while I go, if you can spare time," he informs to the dragoness by comms. "Tyron. Naiko. If shit hits the fan more than it might be now, I'll call in for reinforcements," he says to the others of the spare team, leaving his post to head for the explosion.
Forkbomb starts heading down the road, looking on edge as hell. Okay. Okay, this is deal-withable. He hoped to get a requisition of tools, willing to toss freecred at the problem. But if not, well. Just made it a bit harder. "Parthy," He notes. "I want you to check out the buildings for violent mutants. This place is wrecked, we don't know what's up. I'll be right behind you, and I'll ring the bell as /soon/ as you start yelling. Alright? If it's clear, I'll start boarding up windows and get to making each building a workable barricade. When we can wall off the south street here and turn it into a fortress, I'll work with Zephyr guardspeople and see if I can't grease enough palms to get it cleaned up and pretty. Sound good?"
"So much for a little chat." Said the robot.
Soon, the active drones head towards her, attaching to their respective mounting points, and with the sound of loud mechanical whirring, he wings spread out, its thrusters quickly warming up for a lil' ride. With a loud boom, the robot is flung into the air and, maneuvering southwest towards the warehouse.
Tyron seeing that Naiko and Joseff have both headed over to the warehouse, he stays behind in case something else happens.
Loveblade hears a boom off in the distance, her ears swivelling this way and that to trace the echoes until she's sure. Using an offshoot of her Data Nanomagic, Love sends a message back to Aaron reporting direction and asking for confirmation and advice. Banking into a turn that keeps her in sight of the groups moving through the streets but close to a breeze that could carry her quickly into trouble.
Jaro rides into battle, as it were, on Nisha's back; what they find outside the gate is the expected wear and tear of several years of use - there doesn't really appear to be any structural damage to the buildings, though there are several potholes in the road. The glass from the windows is almost all missing, much of it glittering inside the potholes. There's the odd bit of debris and detritus, but not that much, considering it's a high-traffic gate and the Mall (and Rod's crew) is just up the road.
Those of you who did not go to investigate the explosion - which appears to be everyone but the backup crew - will find that your jobs are much easier when uninterrupted. In particular, the street crews seem to have carte blanche to take what measurements and list what damages they need to; it looks like those were the easy jobs. Those in the car wash and restaurant are dealing with their own challenges, but as long as the street crews are reasonably competent at detailed work, they'll soon find that they have the information they need about the surrounding area.
Parthenia been around this street a few times. Well more then a few really. Of course being of duty for a long time had it's own perks! A few more new dents in the road, a few more lamps knocked over, a few more buildings in a shitty shape. Though nothing out of ordinary really. Still, this sorta felt new and different. Like driving a car for the firt time after a long vocation! She flinched hearing the voice of her Expert. Adrenaline! "Sure thing boos. Let's see them buildings!" She said with a grin. Hazard monitor wasn't making a nose, so there's probably nothing around. Still cautious she waled by the half broken walls and missing windown checking if there is anyone inside. Finally she rolled over the edge of the window cell inside the building. Her wide armored ass squeeking against the concrete.
Nisha walks out into the street and takes a look around, then lowers herself down so that Jaro can climb off onto the ground. She takes a pad of paper and a pencil out and starts to mark down some details, relaying the more important ones on to the proper people.
Thelergramor idly plays with his flamethrower, waiting for data to be taken from the area... "Yup, something was busy..." His ear flicks a bit after the explosion... "Eh, Redd went to the warehouse, right? It was probably just him then..." The fox shrugs, isn't overly concerned... Yawns a bit and just watches Cameron.
Fenris follows Edel, standing his own brand of watch while she works. He also starts to sing a little to himself. He hooks his spear back in place and actually starts to drum a little rhythm on his belly! He heard the explosion, of course, but no bell means no problem, right?
Edel perks her ears at the sound of the explosion, but. Such things happen within the city. Who knows, could just be someone with a grenade. She carries on with her work until she's satisified, moving over to stands next to Fenris again, smiling. "I have my measurements here. Shall we move on?"
Cameron frowns at hearing the explosion nearby as she worked. "Seemed someone found something they shouldn't have." She then looked back to Thel. "I am done here, we can move on." She then started off towards the intersection. Making sure to take notes of the buildings as she went.
Forkbomb starts to grin a bit. Okay. This isn't so bad. He continues on his work, trying to get the big things- Light poles, fire hydrants. All while trying to put together checkpoints on the cross streets, all while trying to put barricades on cleared buildings that Parthy said were safe so things won't be able to leak in from windows. And, hey. Maybe tidy up a little here and there whenever it wasn't time-intensive.
Jaro walks along beside Nisha, keeping an eye - and an ear - out, hir trusty laser pistol held loosely at hir side. "Someone's having fun," shi comments idly as shi scans the empty storefronts.
Parthenia thought that most of the things Forkbomb was doing are time-intensive. "Almost done?" She grunted at him as he was cleaning up a room that clearly just needed to be viciously immolated! "C'mon! Hurry up!" She growled as the guy was setting up the barricaeds. "I though we were here just to check things out not to run reconstructions!" She sighed and huffed while Fork made sure that the stairs are safe. Of course, she could have help, but she just wouldn't. First of all she needed to save her strength for a possible fight, and secondly... She was a Zephyr agent and those assholes wouldn't do jack shit unless they are getting payed for that! She wasn't an 'expert' so she was just gonna do her job! And she did. Every room she came in first and only let the man follow her in when she've made sure it's clean. Not like she had to keep him back though. He seemed to always be busy doing something. Such a hard worker he was!
Tyron yawns as he continues patrolling the northern part of Zephyr. He then returns to Aaron when he sees nothing of note happening. He then asks her "So have you heard back from the team at the warehouse?"
Aaron nods to Tyron. "I'm pretty sure the four of them can handle it, though. Warehouses have nasty surprises, and that's why I sent Redd and Foxheart; they're the most likely to be able to handle it." And then, ring-a-ling-a-ling! There's a bell chiming from the northeast. The restaurant! "Go!" she shouts to Tyron, pointing in the direction of the bell being chimed. "Nisha, Jaro, Thel, Cameron! Go!" she calls out, hoping that the people adjoining the location will swarm in. Five additional agents should be more than enough. She hopes!
Nisha chuckles and nods, then takes a look in the direction she heard the explosion from. "Not sure if I should be jealous or not." She says, then goes back to looking around. A few of the buildings have built up structural faults that should definately be investigated, though they're obviously still standing, so it's not terribly urgent. She spots something out of the corner of her eye after a while and beckons Jaro to follow her. As she comes up on it, Nisha sees what was likely once a pothole, but has developed into something more like a sinkhole over time. It's roughly two feet in diameter, and maybe three feet deep. Nisha takes a few notes about it, and makes sure to relay that it might not be the only of its kind. Just as she sends it off, Nisha hears the bell ringing. She takes a step towards it, then looks down at Jaro. "That's our cue, I think!" She leans down to let Jaro onto her back again. "Hop on again, and hold on tight!"
Thelergramor raises a hand from his 'thrower when Cameron says they can move on. "Woo! Away from the empty street." He chuckles, looks over the area again, then starts leading onward... Completely forgetting exactly where he's supposed to go! Professionalism!
And then there's a bell from the northeast! "Someone's getting buttfucked, c'mon!" He looks back for Cameron, then starts running, careful to make sure she can keep up.
"Bell!" Fenris says happily, ending his drum solo and whipping the spear from his back. "Good thing, too!" the tanuki says, heading off at a fast trot toward the abandoned restaurant, "Let's go, Edel!"
Edel lifts her shoulders in a lackadasical shrug. "Yes, yes, let's," she says, tucking away her tools in favour of drawing her bow. "I suppose we can't let them have all the fun," she says, following after the other tanuki, tail flicking behind her.
Cameron frowns as she hears the chiming of the bell. She takes a moment to make sure her own isn't rinhing before heading off towards the sound of the bell. "I hope who ever it is is alright. Might take a minute to get to them. She then dashed off after the large fox, the small feline surprisingly fast on her feet when she needs to be. She draws her own sword as she follows, readying herself for battle.
Forkbomb works in panicked murmurs. "Okay, okay. Our job is to help survey the damage and do minor reconstruction efforts where possible. This place needs to be a fortress, and if they're not safe working on this, then this'll never be a defensible area." He looks at a knocked-over street-lamp with some idle curiosity. He gives it a boot to see if the old electric nanomagic will make the thing work again. "Like light! Streets need light to be defensible-" And then chaos happens. The world went quiet for a moment yet for the sound of bells. Then he heard the call. "... Okay, we're not being called in. Let's just..." He slumps his shoulders. He doesn't clean up debris as much, just stays focus on doing minor reconstruction in an efficient was as possible while following his guardlady.
Loveblade radios ahead to Astara and Vaeri, warning them of an incoming attack while she glides overhead and between the two groups of ferals. Pulling out a pair of grenades, she drops one into just in front of each moving group, making sure to get serious bang for her buck. It might not hit them at all, but the noise should sure as hell be enough to start them running! The only question becomes where will they go? Her smile turns slightly mischievous as she glides out of sight and onto a building that overlooks the street, unlimbering her rifle while as a bell sounds from inside the restaurant and two rather large explosions rip through the night
Jaro swings up onto Nisha's back, using her wing as leverage. "Sorry," shi offers as shi gets a grip. "Now, go, go, go!"
"Really?" Alsked Zephyr CorpSec.I must have miss heard something... Oh well, do what needs to be done." Most of the area was already checked out, so she hardly had anything to do and now was just waiting on Fork. "So, did you hear that explosion earlier?" Parthenia murmured nudging her 'expert' at one point as he was working. "Heh! Heh. No bells after! I hope they'r all dead there!" She singed dreemily and right then and there there was the bell! "Awww damn..." She grumbled rolling her eyes. "Well if we are to go help them, there could technically be some accidental friendly fire!" She've suggested before nodding to Fork's words. "Hmmm... Nope, not being called in." She agreed shaking her head. "Lets make sure the south is safe! Who knows! There may be ferals who are getting really turned on by the sound of the bealls, and they may be coming from this dirrection!" Said the human raising her weapon and looking down the street away from the sound of the bells.
Tyron quickly nods and starts to head over to the restaurant in the northeast. There is a little boost in his step as he is glad that he might see some action. He then activates his drone as he gets closer to the restaurant to provide him with some cover. He then takes out his sword and enters the building when he arrives.
Well, the good news is that by the time the street crews arrive, the latex foxes are in the middle of being routed. Vaeri and Astara are doing a fine job of holding their own, and - more notably - there appears to be a second group of ferals. Wolf beast ferals. And they're doing a fine job of kicking the foxes' asses! Looks more like a gang fight, with ferals instead of human gangs. Everything seems fine! And then a few treats fall from the sky. BOOM! BOOM! Explosions all around, taking out foxes and wolves alike. The odds are still against the foxes, but not nearly as much as they used to be. Fortunately, the de facto leader of the shiny vulpines decides 'fuck a whole bunch of this', and they work to beat a hasty retreat! The wolf beasts aren't as willing to abandon their companions, and it's worth noting that the AoE on those grenades has done a little more damage to the restaurant than was there before. Measurements and damage tolls will need to be taken again, eventually. Soon afterward, the bunny herself shows up, and she beats feet to one of the injured wolves, tending to his injuries. "Somebody tell me what happened." she demands, firmly.
Nisha wraps her arms behind Jaro to make sure the mouse doesn't fall off of her back, then leaps into the air witha mighty flap of her wings. She decides forgoing walking for the much quicker, tactically advantageous air insertion. As she flies over the target area, she spots Loveblade slipping into one of the buildings above the problematic groups of ferals. She circles for a few moments as she tries to size up the situation. As the situation turns in their favor, aparrently, even without Nisha and Jaro's help, she slowly glides down the the ground and lands at a run in the middle of the street near to Aaron. "Everything alright, here?"
Forkbomb bites his tongue for a moment. Parthenia had the right idea, damnit. But that doesn't mean that he wasn't gonna stack a few rocks or something on the way over. Because they might need to hide behind something.
Tyron arrives just as the foxes scatter. He walks up to Aaron and Nisha and says "I saw the foxes leave, how are the wolf's doing?"
Loveblade watches without firing as the explosions go off, an imaginary line drawn between the two groups of Ferals and the space needed to protect her charges. The explosions seem to have flung mutants about, causing severe but not un-healable damage to a few. Grim-faced, she takes her eye off the sights and puts her weapon into stand-by before throwing her wings out and gliding down to street level, landing gracefully and walking over to Aaron. Seeing that she's tending to a casualty, Love messages her through comms to let her know what happened, and that she was in her own way marking territory without leaving a clue as to the source of damage. Her eyes soften when she sees what she's done, and her finger once again brushes the box at her belt, activating her Automated response kit to heal the wounded.
Speaking out loud after a moment of staring, she purrs "I hope this one is okay."
Astara sighs. "There was a horde of latex foxes coming at Vaeri and I... maybe 10? 12? And they were just about to breach the compound, so I hit the bell. Those wolves came out of one of our blind spots shortly thereafter, and then... explosions. My line of sight wasn't good enough to tell what happened out of those..." she says, trailing off for good this time.
Thelergramor was unfortunately too slow to kill things with fire! Maybe next time... "Heh, already handled it? Damn." He snickers, checks back over his shoulder for Cameron. Thelfox walks over to where Aaron's asking questions. Proceeds to guard, threateningly, waiting for another Feral to try something.
Fenris leads the way through the empty area outside. "Bet the excitement will be all over before we get there," he says, though the smile does not leave his face, "But maybe they've made food! They ARE at a restaurant."
"I hope not!" Edel says, jogging after Fenris, ears perked under her hat. "About the fun I mean. But... Yes. If there's no food, well. I've got snacks I can share with you, you know! You only ever have to ask. I always have food."
Cameron skids to a halt as she sees what is unfolding within the restaurant. The cat arriving a moment after the eager battle fox. She looks about her blade still at the ready despite the one side of ferals having decided to skedaddle. Once she saw things calm down and their bunny leader appearing to mend some poor batter wolfies, she sheathed her blade and took a moment to look about. "So what did happen here?"
Vaeri sighs, looks around for a moment, and says "Ya that's pretty much it...there wasn't that many that you needed to blow the place up, but it's fine as long as we can get this done and they don't end up back with more friends, though we may wanna make sure those wolves don't give us trouble. They didn't seem to be after us but they could always change their minds." she then turns her head to Astara and says "It should be safe to go back to work now"
Forkbomb bites his tongue for a moment. Parthenia had the right idea, damnit. But that doesn't mean that he wasn't gonna stack a few rocks or something on the way over. Because they might need to hide behind something.
Loveblade watches without firing as the explosions go off, an imaginary line drawn between the two groups of Ferals and the space needed to protect her charges clear while she holds her fire. The impact and shrapnel seems to have flung mutants about, causing severe but not un-healable damage to a few. Seeing the melee coming to a close, the Grim-faced Dragoness takes her eye away from the sights and puts her weapon into stand-by before unfurling her wings to glide down to street level, landing gracefully and walking over to the Lapine as blood stains her soles. Seeing that Aaron is tending to a casualty, Love messages her through comms to let her know what happened, in detail, and that she was in her own way marking territory without leaving a clue as to the source of damage. Her amber eyes softening in regret when she sees what she's done, Love's finger once again brushes the box at her belt, activating her Automated Response Kit to heal the wounded.
Speaking out loud after a moment scanning the street, she purrs "I hope this one is okay."
Jaro jumps down from Nisha's back without waiting for her to land. Shi fires off a few half-hearted potshots with hir pistol at the fleeing latex foxes, but doesn't really bother to put any effort in. After all, they're already fleeing. "Looks like somebody decided to turn a turf war between ferals into property damage," the little mouse comments in response to Aaron's query. "Dunno for sure, me an' Nisha just got here as things started to go boom."
Parthenia considered her job well done. She've stick by her man and made sure he is well, the bell is quite and the theretory is safe. Helping him build the baricades was still not an option, cleaning up also was out of the question. She just stood there like and armored guardian that she was. Eyes narroed, lookin south. Well for the most part. The gun Fork have given her did have nice finish and she was rather distraced by the way it shined in the light of the flashlight.. Or the lamp post that her man got working through the power of nanite magic! For a moment there she though she saw a baby bunny... But dismissed it as an apparition...
Tyron looks around to see if there are any stragglers looking for a fight. He then lowers his sword and looks around at all the people here. "So Aaron, what are your orders?"
Aaron manages to do some basic first aid on the wolf, who looks up at her and pulls his teeth back in a low, hostile growl. This prompts Aaron to pin her ears back and give a similar growl...and then the scene dissolves into the wolf beast laughing and Aaron giving him a hug. "Okay. Those latex foxes are assholes and I'll deal with them later, but these wolves are our allies. Stand down. What I want to know is, who did this? No way those foxes could do this much damage." When Loveblade gets close enough, she glances at Tyron and notes, "Good question." before she asks the dragoness, "You're my surveillance. Exactly what happened? What caused the explosions?"
Nisha watches Jaro firing at the foxes, but has nothing to do so herself with, so she simply stands and waits for a sitrep or orders. She arches an eyebrow at the hug between the injured wolf and Aaron, then puts her hands on her hips as she looks around at the damages to the area. "We just came when we heard the bell." The panther taur says as she looks back down at Aaron. "I've got some notes from the north area here," She pulls out her notepad and waves it around for a second before stowing it again. "What should we be doing now?"
As Thelfox sees the wolf lighten up, he lowers his flamethrower, gets less aggressive. Relaxes, even... "Heh, would've been nice to know we had a team of wolves out here... Anyway..." Thel glances to the restaurant; peers... "Any food in there? I haven't eaten all day."
Astara begins walking around, re-inspecting the outer booths of the restaurant. "I didn't know anything about the explosions 'till they were happening; scared the living hell out of me. I'm lucky /I/ didn't get hit my shrapnel, let alone Vaeri or those in the mob." she says, sighing again.
Fenris rounds the corner, a look of pure glee on his face! Then his face falls in disappointment. There are no monsters. There are no ghosts. There are no angry gods or cultists or runaway machines or surprisingly delicious dinners. "I guess there isn't any excitement after all," he says sadly, then perks up, "You think I can come stay at the Teanuki tonight, Miss Edel?" he asks, changing the subject completely, "Only some plum wine and a soak in the hotsprings would be nice after all this wandering around." Seems like the burly tanuki has written this job off as finished.
Watching the wolf heal before her eyes is satisfying, Love's compassion coming to the fore while she answers honestly, her ears laid back in chagrin "I was coming around overhead and saw two groups converging in the street with hostile intent. Radioing you with details as I watched overhead, I reacted to the obvious danger. Before they could close, and in order to end the fight before it began or could spill in to a point that harmed allies in the field, I made a bombing run and dropped two grenades, one ahead of each party." she pauses for breath, continuing after a second "I'm truly, truly sorry to have hurt unknown allies. I was working as much to mark territory without leaving a clue as to the source of damage as I was in defense of our people." she bows her head to the Wolf, obviously not happy with the results "I will send supplies to you and yours, to make up the difference in damages. I was watching out for my pack, and at the time I did not realize that meant being careful and watching out for you as well. I'm sorry." Having said her piece, Love waits, unsure if her apology will be accepted with good grace, or no.
Joseff:nods and begins a thorough search of the opened room, leaving no stone unturned amd no box closed.
Edel tilts her head at Fenris' sudden question, but she doesn't reject it. "Ah, you certainly may. I am not going home yet, but you know the way, yes? My daughters will be there to get you tended to. They can get the wine and show you to the hotsprings. And to a guest room at the end, if I'm not back by then," she says, glancing back towards the Zephyr building. "I suppose I ought to return then and seek another partner. Pity."
Cameron looked about curiously, figuring she could do some assessment while the bunny was figuring out what happened. She looked over the walls and ceiling, taking note of what was still good and what needed to be repaired. "I have some jerky in my pack Thel if you want some." She then tossed him her pack.
Vaeri shrugs "I wasn't the one who caused the explosions either and we were both inside, so no idea who caused them, all I know is that whoever caused them should really try and hold back next time...since we are trying to fix this place up if I'm not mistaken"
Forkbomb continues on his search. Eventually, he settled down and just sort of followed Parthy's lead. "... You see something? You look tired." He said, becoming paranoid in a hurry. "Seems like the street's getting close to secured. If not already there. You think there's anything else we need to do, Parthy?"

"Ahh, friendly fire and close encounters with explosives. Not things I'd missed," Jaro mutters to hirself, as shi trots off a few yards in the direction the foxes retreated. There's still work to be done, after all, and 'experts' to be guarded.
Parthenia didn't look tired, not in the list! All she did is walk around looking angry, kicked some doors down and aimed her gun in the empty rooms while the poor buy was building barikades! "No-no. The coast is clear. And you know what. This shit hole of a street looks much better then it used to." She offers a highfive and once it was recieved she pats Fork on the shoulder. "Good job today! Maybe we should hang out one day." She sugges with a nudge. "Now you need to go report back to Aaron, and I'll go report back to Zephyr." With that she throws the gun over her shoulder and walks off!
Tyron shakes his head. "I am not sure." He then hears Love's story and says "You did not know and it seems that the wolfs are going to make it." He then sees that things are wrapping up and says "It has been a blast working with you all. I hope that we can work togethe or at least talk again in the future." He then deactivates his drone and walks back to zephyr after waving to everyone.
Aaron gives Loveblade a hard look. "So, to sum up: flying overhead, without a clear idea of the disposition of either group, you dropped grenades ahead of both of them in such a way that when they interacted, both groups would get blown up and badly injured, possibly killed. Near enough the restaurant that it damaged the building as well." She draws in a deep breath and gives a decisive nod. "Got it. So noted. Filed for future reference." With that, she moves to help the injured wolf beast to stand. "You said you'd watch out for us, and you did." she tells him in a firm, determined voice. "We won't forget. If you need any further help, you know you can count on me." Hearing this, the wolf pack makes its rather slow exodus, the healthy helping the injured.
Nisha listens to Aaron for a couple moments, not quite sure of the situation in its entireity. After a couple moments, while the wolves are retreating, the panther taur takes her notepad out of her pocket and hands it to Aaron, then moves over to Jaro. "Sounds like we're done here. Ready to go?"
Thelergramor catches the bag, letting the flamethrower hang from it's hose all... not safe like. Then goes through the bag, searching for Jerky he was told of. "Hah, jerky, thanks Cameron." He pulls the meat from the bag and tosses it back to her, pulls his scarf from his goggled face and starts eating it... "This" He says, mouth half full, "Is why I love you." Chews, unlikely to completely mean that.
Thel's not too concerned for the wolves; none of them are dead, and the injured will be fine by tomorrow. Probably. "Eh, it could've been worse. Better too, but could've been worse."
Astara gives a sharp look to Loveblade before she begins going outside, checking the damage from the explosions; "Well... we're lucky the building didn't suffer much damage to its structural integrity." she reports as she inspects the front of the place. "Doesn't mean it's... well. It's /certainly/ more worse-for-wear than it was. Gonna go finish my inspection of the kitchen and back areas!" she says, quickly making her way around back, avoiding the debris now strewn in the main dining area.
Vaeri takes a seat on the counter and says "Well hopefully those didn't do too much damage, I don't think it should be too much trouble on the building, and the wolves should heal up just fine. Someone should try and track down those foxes and scare them off a bit further so they don't just come right back here though." then she hops off the counter and follows Astara to ensure nothing is in the kitchen ready to jump out.
Loveblade stays watchful outside for a moment, taking stock but seeing that the majority have made there way there, she shuts down her rifle and locks it into its' back holster "Admittedly not my proudest achievement. I've some salvage I'll bring to you in the morning for the wolves, it'll be enough to see them set for a long while. If you like, I'll get back up to observe the area and send back reports till the groups are safely home." she pauses to shake her head, absorbing her fault with good grace "Unless you would prefer I stay?"
Cameron's pack contains plenty of tools if one was ready to tear apart a machine of some sort. Though the jerky was relatively easy to find and pull out. Despite knowing he didn't mean it she still turned a little rosy in the cheeks. "Thanks." She then looked to the rabbit before forwarding the notes she had taken to the rabbits comm unit. She then gave a small wave to everyone. "It is getting late, night everyone. She then set off towards home.
Astara walks back out to Aaron, reporting in the details of the restaurant. "It's... servicable," she says, digging out some of her notes. "The back is in okay shape, the best out of it all. Minimal work should need to be done back there infrastructurally. The front, however..." she pauses, turning around to glance at it again, "... is gonna need some serious work before anyone is going to eat here again. Probably replace the doors, new window fixtures and new windows, repair some holes in the walls, replace a number of booths now beyond repair..." she sighs. "Surprisingly free of any traces of ferals, though. Doesn't look like anyone actually inhabited the joint. Recently, at least. I hope this is a satisfactory report?"
Aaron nods to Astara. "This will do fine." she replies with a faint smile. "Now comes the part where I put all of this into a report and submit a plan to Zephyr. Good thing I've been doing my homework on this front lately!" She breathes a sigh of relief. "This could have gone WAY worse than it actually did."
The sound of thrusters approached the stage and Zephyr's building rather quickly as Naiko closed in, the Giant Robot morph's servos whirring rather loudly as she Landed. After a brief pause and a little scanning, she stated firmly. "The warehouse issue has been handled. I believe Redd has sent you the measures? Anyhow, someone emprisoned a bunch of skunk mutants and apparently intended to imprison something else, or perhaps more of them in there." After another pause, the robot sighed, adding, "I could not find any traces of what or who was behind that, however."
