As those who managed to hurry in arrive, one of those at the table looks up after glancing at her watch wondering if they were going to get any help from the various agents running around. Spotting those arriving, she heaves a sigh of relief and nudges the cougar next to her and points to those arriving. Walking over, her companion in tow, had she deemed to wear a breastplate, a scale mail skirt and hold a large two handed sword, instead of hte flight suit she did, she'd have been picture perfect for the image of a Valkyrie. Stopping in front of the group approaching, she nods. "Captain John McGregor, RSX Air Fleet. This is my co-pilot Captain Franklin Hernandize. I take it you are all the ones who got the green-light for taking part?"

Locke:nodded vigorously, pulling her firearm into view. Highly modern in appearance with a pump-action firing mechanism, it looked more than capable of blowing away the femme's opposition. The girl herself, rather Human in form, was nonetheless tainted by nanites, her arms and legs matted with fur from the elbows and knees down, respectivvely. "Yes, mam! Locke, reporting and ready for duty!" She shouted excitedly.

The six foot five nanite adept dips his head in acknowledgment, and rests his hand on the hilt of the large ebony blade strapped to his hip. Rev had for the moment ditched his larger bulky equine form. For that of a nephilim. That along with his combat uniform gives him a sort if heavenly mercenary look. "Well lets get this show on the road."

Edel shuffles along, not in much of an armour, instead having decided to dress herself in a dark crimson silk dress, complete with white frilled trim. Quite regal. She was certainly not wanting for weapons, though, with the large sword strapped to her back over her black cloak, and the 'smaller' sword strapped to her back hip. And whatever else she was hiding under that dress. "I do so enjoy going out of bubble," she remarks as she shuffles forward, a grin plastered on the wolf's muzzle.

To and fro, forth and back; the noraneko's tail swings like an idle pendulum, painting the air around him with lazy strokes of black. He stands a short distance away from the others, eyeing their congregated forms auspiciously, though whether his mauve-tinted regard is out of genuine interest or the dire need of a distraction remains to be discerned. Laurie fails to understand why he's even among them. Why, when given leave, his paws had chosen to carry him here, of all places. What a group, he muses to himself. From what he could see, it so far comprised a horse, a wolf, a not-human, and .. an angel? Considering their ridiculous assembly, the fact that they were armed; wondering what the hell had called them to gather here as one, the noraneko can't resist a derisive snicker, barely managing to conceal it amongst the shallow noise of a sneeze. So many weapons and so much pride! It was almost cute, how bad they thought they were--Laurie was almost of a mind to stick around, perhaps even accompany them on their little mission, if only to see how they fared when faced with the loss of their precious weapons. Would they still be so apt to think themselves badass then? he wondered.

Hearing of something that might actually be fun, and a chance to finally go out of the bubble once more Angus nearly jumpbs at the chance! He hoped he wasn't late as he tugs on the rest of his gear, butting back up his pea-coat as he skids into the room, trying hard not to slide into the nearest wall as he checks the strap of his Tesla rifle, revolver in place, tomahawk in its sheath as he gives a smile! "Hellllllooooooo there everyone, we all here for the picnic or am I in the wrong place again?" He asks, eyeing up the pilot as he whistles at their sword. Holding his tongue for now.

Watching the area around the arrival point with cautious eyes, the reclusive plant double checks her gear. Never one to be trusting, she eyes the RSX agent slowly, but says nothing. pointedly ignoring her comments regarding being 'allowed' to join the mission. Her masked visage taking in the group in full detail, Saviante nods slightly to Angus, then waits for the details of this mission.

Locke seemed slightly irritated by Laurie's snickering while she saluted, frowning at the edge of her lips but otherwise keeping herself rather pumped-up. Turning to the Wolfish girl in frilly clothes, she grinned. "You enjoy trips O-O-B? I've never been outside the thing, myself! Is it fun? Is there lots of stuff out there? Is it valuable?" She said in an excited tone. "Oh, by the way, I love your dress! I like a more rugged look, but that's very cute. Does it have hidden compartments for grenades and stuff?" Even after continuing her endless assault of questions, she still yammered on and on, seemingly about any little thing that caught her attention.

Nodding, McGregor looks over the lot. "If you're here for the scavanger mission in San Deigo, you're in the right place. Need to have an idea of what the lot of you can do so we can stuff you in the right birds. The Zephyr helo is for the science-types since we're quite likely to be dealing with new forms down there. San Diego was massive bubble hit on P-Day. The Chinook's will be holding most of the mechanics and engineers who can figure out how much hardware we find is usable and what parts aren't. The fighting folks are going to be stuffed around where we can squeeze 'em." She says, ignoring the whistle. "We're chalks off in 20 minutes, so ya'll got time to make sure you're ready. Weather report shows clear skies the whole way down."

Angus whistles as he looks over Mcgregor again, nodding to Saviante in greeting as he points at Mcgregor. "You packing or just happy to see us?" He teases, giving a wink before he takes a step up and chuckles. "Angus, I'm a biotech engineer with combat experience against the ferals. Also, I've been told I have some....skill with explosives, at least that's what I think people tell me half the time." He flash a smile, patting his chest to make sure he remember to bring his handcanon just in case.

Savi looks over the options for a moment, knowing she would fit on any of the craft. After taking a few moments to run through options, she grabs her pack and shuffles to the engineering chopper. "I'm best put here." she says in her whisper soft voice. Setting her combat gear down amidst the engineers and squeezes into a seat. The mocery of a face carved into her helmet's mask providing a black stare into the eyes of those already loaded, dissuading any conversation regarding her choice of transport.

Edel gives a polite nod to Angus. "Hey there! Glad to see that I'll have a familiar face going along with me today. And Savi, too! That'll help. I'm not usually fond of working with strangers," she says with a little grin, propping her arm up on the hilt of her sword. "So, I'm ready to go whenever. Brought everything I need with me," she says, patting her duffle as she moves towards the vehicle.

Laurie doesn't hesitate to move in front of the others: leaping forwards and snagging the seat in the very back, stretching out his legs to ensure no one else would dare try and plop down beside him. Tch. Licking a paw pad, the noraneko begins to groom, dragging his palm across his ears and throat, smoothing out the unruly ruffles here and there.

Locke raises her hand curiously, as if she were in a classroom. "Hey! Excuse me? What about me? I apologize for sounding ignorant, but I don't have any real skills in the sciences, nor building... And I'm a bit inexperienced in combat." She seemed to droop. "My only real skills are running, climbing and generally moving... Oh, and keeping myself alive in the bush, I guess?" She said, growling lightly in thought. "So... Got any jobs for us meat-heads?" She asked, leaning in towards the Valkyrie pilot(?). "I'll do anything I can, really. So... Is there a position I can take?"

Rev thoughtfully searches his chin for a moment, and is just about to stepforward, and give his own introduction. When he suddenly stops having decided to make one change before joining the others who are ready. The Nephilims body is suddenly surrounded by violet shadows shadows. That overwhelm, and hide his form. A dark mirage briefly huddles. Where the nephilim had once stood. Almost like a budding flower. Before blooming outwards. Leaving a short Dusk Dragon in the nephilims place. Who quickly steps forward quickly adjusting several straps on his outfit so that while it doesn't fit him perfectly the clothing wouldn't hinder his movement."Names Rev, and I guess I would be.....combat personnel for this mission. I am ready to head out when you all are."

"Angus, Blackhawk. Locke, you'll be in teh Zephyr bird as combat. Rev, Chinook. Find the emptier one and settle in. Miss Wolfess, I ain't sure where to stick you yet." McGregor says, pointing to the various craft. "Settle in." She states, turning around and walking back to the table, which appears to be finalizing whatever it was discussing. The cougar just chuckles, and looks at Edel. "Got enough weapons to make me think combat, so to save you some breath, you'll join me and John in teh Blackhawk. Let's get ourselves set up."

Locke nodded silently, then rose, righting her navy blue tank top before running full-sprint to the assigned helicopter, leaping in to lands on her rear. "Let's go!" She shouted impatiently, sitting her firearm on her lap, atop black cargo pants lined with zippered-up pockets. Her tail curled up and around a leg.

Edel chuckles softly and moves off towards the blackhawk with a nod. "Works for me. I'm whatever is needed. Engineer, scientist, and swordsman extraordinaire! I'm a one woman army, truly! But this works for me," she says, settling in with Angus.

Angus blinks a bit, nodding as he looks to Edel and sticks out his tongue. "Nice to see you again Edel." He comments before he goes walking off towards the Blackhawk, humming to himself as he just casually walks over to the Blackhawk as he nibbles on a dog biscuit.

Rev nods his head, and adjusts his blade so that it is no strapped sideways across his back just above his good. Just before scurrying over to the Chinook helicopters in search of the emptiest helicopter, and upon finding it he climbs in to the helicopter, and settles in to the nearest seat.

Savi patiently crosses both sets of arms and waits, wondering exactly what they are getting into. Shifting softly in her seat she watches the others go to their respective choppers in silence.

Franklin slides into the co-pilot's seat of the Blackhawk, already powering on the systems and seems to pause a moment as the helicopter comes to life in a purely mechanical sense of the phrase. Shaking himself out of his revery, he continues working, the helicopter props starting to spin up to speed. The rest of the pilots have gathered the materials on the table, and dashed to their respective helicopters, McGregor climbing into the pilot's seat of hte Blackhawk.

"This is your co-pilot speaking, please make sure you are wearing a headset, it is set to the general channel for hte duration of this flight. There will be no in-flight movie, nor are there trays or served meals on this flight. Do not worry about how you're seat is set, there is no means to adjust them. Thank you for flying RSX Air, where military issues, are OUR issues." Franklin says, grinning as he looks to the troop compartment. McGregor however just chuckles at teh cougar, and continues the pre-flight launch.

"Zephyr Control, Zephyr Control, this is Vulture 1, San Diego Expedition Team is ready for launch." She says, watching teh centaur with two light rods in his hands step in front, but some distance away. For those looking around, they'd see similiar things happening, though teh one's holding the wands might not all be the same form. At this point the garden area is washed in the rotor wash of the helicopters. "Roger that Zephyr Control, clearance is confirmed. Here's hoping we bring back good stuff." And with that, the helicopter's were guided off the ground and into the air, turning to fly south towards their destination.

Locke grinned, then spun about in her chair to grab up a headset. Placing it over her head, she suddenly noticed it didn't quite fit right, due to her canine ears... Looking about, however, she quickly discovered a great number of different models, including a set with oddly angled muffs. Palcing these over her ears, she nodded in approval. "Zephyr really does get the best stuff!" She said with a laugh. Locke could hardly wait to see how things would pan out. Looking out a window, she watched the road lift away from them. "Coooooool~!"

Taking the handset in one set of hands, Saviante turns it over for a few moments before just simply taking it apart. After examining the inner workings for a few moments, she drops the handful of equipment onto the deck of the chopper before reaching up to the side of her helmet and making a few adjustments. Speaking into her helmets com system she notes "Systems synched." Turning her head slightly to garner a better view of the passing land, the psychotic flower continues to wait patiently.

Edel has her own inflight snack, producing a candybar from her bag, which she nibbles on as she tries to fix the headset on her altered lupine head. "So, how're you doing, Angus?" She seems rather unbothered by... Well, just about everything! "Well, I hope?"

Angus crunches the dog biscuit rather quickly as he starts chewing on the inside of his cheek as he picks up the helmet and taps the mike. "f-fine....just not a fan of the flying express, never enjoyed a ride that didn't involve snacks." He mutters as he clenches his hands in his lap.

Rev slips on a pair of head phones as instructured. Before looking out of the helicopter at the land beneath them. Less for the sights than it is for in the off chance that he, and the others may have to hoof it back. The rather short dragon digs a small bag of dried meat out of one of the pouches on his hips, and begins to snack on it. While listening for any instructions that may be given.

Locke, being in the Zephyr bird, would see a large lupine form pull out a notebook, and check over it. "Alright ladies and gentlement, this is Bruce Yankeer. I'm the mission commander for this all-faction job. Here is the good news for all of ya. Number 1, we have confirmation that a nanite bubble is operational there. So for those who like having their fancier 'talents', ya ain't screwed over. Number 2, What information we've been able to gather of the region shows a fair number of vehicle and supplies in good condition. Better than good actually. However, on the negative side, the fact that those materials are still in Pre-P-Day condition, means that there are people there maintaining them. Ferals or survivors, we're unsure. The other issue, is we've no idea WHAT to expect if there are those altered by the nanites in the area." He says, looking at Locke as he talked, making sure she at least paid attention. "Captain McGregor, what's the ETA look like?"

"4 hours by this rate Sir. That's of course assuming nothing goes wrong." McGregor responds, her focus constantly flicking between the console in front of her, teh air around them, and the map taped onto the blank screen between the pilot and co-pilot.

At the phrase "Nothing goes wrong" Saviante snaps her head up and grumbles. Suddenly feeling the obsessive need to check her gear, she begins eyeing the area outside the chopper pack, expecting to see rockets fling their way any second. "Why did you have to say that..." she mumbles half-heartedly into the comm as she begins to make sure she is strapped in properly.

Edel frowns at Angus and reaches out to try to put a comforting hand on his leg. "Hey! Relax, yeah? I'm your bodyguard now, remember? You know I won't let nothin' hurt you. And if you happen to fall, I have wings! I can get you down safely."

Locke otherwise unaffected by the pilot's words, as he seemed to stare at her, she nodded as if to confirm she understood. However, in the next few seconds, her face was plastered right to the window once more... Scanning the horizon in what seemed a mix of happiness and slight panic.

Angus freezes for a second when Edel's hand lands on his leg and he smiles a bit. "y-ya, I know...." He mutters, eyes darting around around as someone just had to mention that nothing would get worse

Unlike a few of his comrades Rev just lays his head back, and calmly shuts his eyes. Choosing to leave the worrying to the others for at least the moment.

For the most part, the flight from Fairhaven to San Deigo had been uneventful, and the helicopter pilots were constantly communicating with each other, making sure they remained in formation for the flight south. "How are the systems looking Franklin? Bird ain't been in the air for a long time, I'm still worried the nanites might have eaten something besides the GPS map." McGregor says, still doing that constantly shifting of her focus, though not as intently.

"All good John. We got clear skies, a loaded bird and hell, be glad we're actually flying again. I was going stir crazy just doing checks. Besides, think abou-" He was saying, when a sharp short toned buzzing began screaming in the cockpit. "TARGET LOCK! TARGET LOCK! IT'S WEAK BUT WE'RE PAINTED!" He yells, quickly dropping the happy-go-lucky attitude and now focusing heavily on making sure they could fly right.

"VULTURE 1 TO ALL CALLSIGNS! MISSILE LOCK! POPPING CHAFF!" McGregor barks in command, jerking the stick sharply to the side, flicking the safety level up and hitting the button that caused rattles over the helicopter, causing the 8 beings in the troop compartment to feel like peas in a pod even in the harnesses. Those in other helicopters, if looking in the right direction, notice the blackhawk suddenly spew what looked like glittering shards of something as it suddenly veered to the left, while hte other helicopters break formation and go away from teh center line of hte formation.

Just as Locke feels teh helicopter veering, a tube shape speeds past her window the fins on it wiggling wildly as teh glassy front of the missile can't seem to fly straight. Meanwhile, Yankeer ain't freaking out much. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT! GET THESE BIRD'S ON THE GROUND NOW!"

Her strength rippling to the surface, Savi stands up, not bothering to undue her harness. As the security device snaps into useless strings, Savi's tentacles shoot out in near every direction. Standing center of the tight chopper deck, Savi wraps her tentacles and vines around the other passangers, acting as a secondary brace and support. "Hold on." she says simply as she stretches herself thin trying to cover the entire cre at once. "This might get very bad."

Edel squints, ears perking as she reaches out to put her grip firm on Angus. "Stay calm. If things go bad, put your trust in me, Angus, and hold on tight. I'll get us out safely, like I said, okay?" She gives the coyote a genuine smile, trying to calm his nerves. "Just relax."

Angus was trying hard to stare at the pilots ass, a thought going through his mind before Edel snags his hands and his ears perk up. "Wait, what?" He asks in a paper thin tone, trying hard not to panic as the alarm starts ringing and he just gulps....pulling down the front lip of the helmet to hide his eyes as he squeezes Edel's hand tight and nods, gritting his teeth. "Can I get off now!"

Locke:shouted in surprise as the missile blasted past her window... That was a missile, right?! "Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit, shit!" She yelped, tearing at her harness in a panic, though she seems unable to get the mechanism to release. "STUPID BUCKLES!!!" She screams, leaning down to chew at the straps hurriedly. Meanwhile, her Remington 870 had fallen to the floor, sliding to one side of the helicopter's cabin. Luckily, the safety was on, so it hadn't fired when things flew wide.

The dusk dragons eyes snap open when hears the phrase middle lock, and while he is no quite worried just yet. He can hear the woerie in the voices of the pilots. He briefly grumbles under he breath."And I was just about to take a nap." He says as he begins to release the calming aura his kind is known for in an attempt to calm his companions if onky just a little." Go to San Diego they said. It'll he fun they. I swear we better not get blown out if the sky."

Edel reaches up to unbuckle her harness, keeping herself calm as she scoots into Angus' lap, pressing her nose against his as she tries to stare sternly into his covered eyes. "Listen to me. Listen. Calm down. You're going to be alright, I promise you. I won't let anything happen to you."

"Not to sound callous sir, but we're over mountains, with forests! We have ot find a clear LZ before we can set down!" McGregor replies. "Franklin! Keep an eye on the sky! I don't want any more SAMs surprising us!" She states, her focus now towards teh ground as she flew, looking for a spot for all four helicopters to set down.

"Vulture Leader to all Callsigns, FIND US A SAFE SPOT NOW!" Yankeer literally barks, before noticing Locke's actions. "STOP THAT GOD DAMN IT! It's reinforced! You're not chewing through it." He states, now twisting around in his seat to look in the cockpit.

Meanwhile, Savi's fellows are lashed down thanks to the plant woman, teh two tauric fellows holding firmly to their positions with help. Meanwhile, in Rev's chinook, those worrying were calming down, the personnel in the rear looking around at what was going on.

Angus can feel when Edel climbs into his lap, and he wraps her in a death grip hug to make sure she isn't thrown around in the cockpit. "Edel!" He comments in a rather rough voice as he tries hard to keep calm, only to keep the wolfess from flying around the place if something happens!

Locke tossed her arms up, her canines dislodging from her futile efforts to remove the straps from herself. "Then can SOMEONE get this off of me?! I think it's jammed!" She shouted, stopping momentarily to glance about the cabin. "Where's my heat? Has anyone seen my shotgun?! It's got the safety on, but it might get clicked if it's sliding about!"

Watching out the windows with Fervor, Savi refuses to let her hold on the passangers let up. Having decided to keep as many alive as possible, he attention is focused solidly at the airspace in front of the choppers. "I dont care if you have to hover 20 feet above the earth and let us ump... get us out of the air." she barks into her comm, uncaring that she doesn't have the rank to command anyone here.

Edel willing puts herself in that danger for the sake of keeping Angus calm! That and she's pretty confident. "Yes? I told you, Angus! I'll keep you safe and calm no matter the cost! So don't worry about me, just relax. I know what I'm doing!" She returns the hug, seemingly not minding the pressure all that much, despite a bit of a wince. Her wings spread, pressing around Angus to his seat. Like a feathery cocoon.

Rev calmly sits back, and returns to munching on dried meat, and of course any potential passion such as lust, or anger in the area. " So are we going to land, or should those of use with wings try jumping out here and glide to the ground. So we can cause a distraction for the rest of you?" He says into his Mic.

"Call Pilots, follow me if you want to reduce picture!" McGregor states, her Blackhawk already having lowered itself to be barely skimming over the treetops. As they come up to a river she veers teh helicopter sideways to drip into the 'gulf' of it. "Keep tight and don't deviate from teh river! We can get closer with it's cover!" She states, flying fast and hard, the rotors of the helicopter barely getting over the tree tops. As they clear teh canyon and come up to a open space, she veers harshly towards what looked like a training air strip. The whole area was clear, so she merely landed teh helicopter. Until they'd dropped into the valley, the alarm had been blaring non-stop. Now it was silent.

Growling, the man in teh crew compartment with Locke is happy the helicopter is landing, slams a furred fist into the center of his buckle, and the harness releases. Picking up the woman's shotgun, he uses the weapon to hit the quick release on her harness before handing it over. "Try that next time." He states simply, sliding open the door and jumping out. "Alright, who wants to tell me how we didn't hear of there being SAM sites around here, and hwo far off target we are."

Angus starts breathing rapidly, quickly through his nose as he nods. "Okay, okay, okay." He comments rather quickly as his grip loosens just a little when he realizes how much pressure he might be putting on her as he keeps her in his grasp, ears twitching as her feather wings cocoon around him. As soon as that beeping stops he does calm down a lot, even if his hands are still shaking a little as he pushes back up his helmet and opens his eyes. "T-thanks....Edel."

Savi hits the door even before the rotors slow. Dropping low and keeping a crouched position, she hurries away from the choppers to the left, eyes scanning the area for sharpshooter positions while motioning for the others to keep low. "We must assume the whole area is hostile, we shouldn't be in the open any longer than absolutely needed." she mutters into her comm. The open area of the cleering pressing down on her psyche like a physical weight.

Edel slips off of Angus, wings going back under her cloak as she gives a warm smile to the coyote. "You're welcome! Now, come on! Let's go." She takes the liberty of punching the button on Angus' harness before dropping out of the helicopter herself, tugging the large sword off her back and propping the blunt edge up on her shoulder.

Locke nodded in understanding, staring down at the mechanism with a frown. Shaking her head slightly and turning to face the exit, she moved to the edge, then dropped down into a crouch. Looking about cautiously, she then ran whilst keeping low, following the leader... That's what she was always trained to do in such a situation, after all. "Instructions, sir?" She asked, her eyes flashing across the area.

Angus takes a deep breath as Edel pops his harness and he stands up a little shakely, blushing slightly as he rubs at his nose to try and get Edel's scent out of it as he steps out of the chopper. "C-can we stay on the ground for a bit?" He asks no one in particular as he keeps his head down and just heads in Saviante's direction.

Rev unstraps himself, and hops to his feet."Well at least we know whoever is maintaining the stuff around here are definitely not friendlies." He mutters into his head set before staking it off, and tossing it into the swat next to him. Before disembarking the helicopter, and drawing his ebony blade. With his weapon at the ready. The dusk dragon moves to join Angus, and Edel.

Edel grins at Angus and follows after him, nodding. "I'm sure we can, Angus. Nice and safe on the ground! No falling to death here!" She chuckles softly, giving a little wave to Rev with her free hand.

Looking over teh situation, it was clear that the 'mission commander' had little experience leading things like this. "We need to find out how far away we are. And how off target we are." He says, looking around, figuring someone could answer immediately. He was obviously a desk jockey, not a field operative.

"We're inside Camp Pendleton, but we're about 2 miles from Basilone Road. That'll get us to the areas we want easily." McGregor says, pulling out the map. "I wouldn't recommend us flying any closer than we are. But it's you're call SIR." She states, clearly upset with the idiotism teh leader had shown so far.

Yanker however, simply nodded. "Right. Agents and... freelancers... You'll scout for us. We need to find the main warehouses, and maybe even find those in charge here. IF we can open a dialogue, we might not be attacked as much." He says, acting like they weren't fired upon by a missile. That was just some regular feral group.

Listening to the conversation quietly, Savi notes the locations mentioned, then begins to casually work her way towards the objective. Having spent much time alone, stealth is something the flower is very used to. Without any nticble difference in her manneisms, the plant just simply becaomes less noticable as she begins to slid into her sneak mode.

Angus sighing a little as he finally stops shaking he takes a deep breath. "They shot a missle at us, really no point in pretending they are friendly."He mutters as he unslings his Telsa rifle, flicking the saftey off as it starts to hum gently, starting to whine as he looks over the trees.

Locke rubbed the back of her neck nervously. "I don't know about this... I suck at acting and haven't really been in training with my unit long enough to know what details I'm looking for when scouting." She sighed. "Now, if you've got something to be moved in a rush over obstacles..."

Edel flips her sword around and plants the tip in the ground, leaning against the large object. "I'm good at sneaking around. If you want me to investigate, I'd be glad to! I can even turn into inanimate objects, should the need arise! So... Point me in a direction, tell me what to do, and I'll do it."

Rev looks to Edel, and returns her wave. As he falls in line with the wolfess, and coyote. The dusk dragon props the flat of his blade against his shoulder."So whose up for drinks when we get back to the area around fairhaven.....You know what wrong time to ask. I can do a little illusionary work if needed."

McGregor sighs, and points to the south, the same directly Saviante had already gone. "That way kiddos. Be careful alright?" She says, ignoring the glare from teh wolf leading the show.

While savi was definitely able to fool most things around that was was just another, if overly sized and oddly colored plant, it was clear rather quickly not everything was fool. There was a faint *CRACK* and a tuft of sand puffed up in front of Savi's next movement. The RSX and a few Zephyr personnel drive for cover of the helicopters, while the Promethean and the remaining Zephyr employees look around confused at teh sound.

"OH FOR FUCKS SAKE! TAKE COVER YOU IDIOTS!" McGregor orders. Franklin however was pulling something out of the Blackhawk, and hucked it at McGregor, who deftly caught it and jacked the bolt on her MP5. Bruce Yankeer growls at those present, and steps out into the open. "Get out from tehre you fools! They're obviously just being cautious!" He rumbles, only to jump and yip as another bullet landed at HIS feet.

Almost breaking for cover at the impact of the first shot, Savi changes her mind as the second also finds a spot in the dirt. "I dont think they are trying to hit us..." Willing to risk her body for her guess, the plant stops and raises all four arms high, hands open. "Fucking QUIT!" she yells in the direction the shots arrived from. "You do not want this to become a pissing contest. We are here on exploration and recon only." With this the plant steps out from the cover and into the open, waiting for either a reply, or a bullet.

Edel tugs her sword from the ground and starts off, walking in the appointed direction before the bullets start. As soon as they do, she brings her sword around and plants it in the ground again, this time in front of her as she stands behind it, using it like a shield. "Yes," she calls out. "We don't mean you harm here. Nobody wants to come to blows." Just in case, though, several rock-fashioned knives fall from under her dress, sticking themselves in the ground around her.

Locke looked about for the nearest cover, spotting a boulder in a good position, then made a run for it like her heels had lit on fire. "Crap!" She growled, ducking into a roll to avoid stray shots. "I don't think my weapon's gonna have much effect here, sir." She muttered into her MIC. "Ideas?"

Angus perks his ears up and brings up his rifle as the shooting starts. Ears flicking, taking deep breaths to see if he can learn where his targets are as looks to Edel and waves to get her attention, pointing towards the south and holding up two fingers to indicate the number of shooters and hoping that she relays it to the others as he takes a few steps forward with rifle at the ready.

Rev frowns, and shakes his head. "First missiles, and now bulllets how fun" He say while creating a group of illusions to obscure what he is up to, and distract those that are shooting at him and his allies. While he heads off in an attempt to maneuver behind the enemy with the assistance of his illusions.

Edel gives a nod to Angus. She heard where they were, but if there was only two... Her train of thought was interrupted when she heard the vehicles approaching. "Damn." She quickly tugs her sword up and slides it onto her back before running around frantically for a moment, as if to confuse onlookers, before finally running off behind a tree and... Vanishing? Not quite, though anyone from the south side might think that. Where once was a wolf, now was a tree stump on the ground, a bit of tanuki magic at play.

Currently, the majority of the scavenger mission was split in two groups. Those that was scared readily, such a Bruce Yankeer who was currently cowering inside the Zephyr helicopter. The rest, were listening to McGregor. "Keep your heads down! We need to ID who they are and why the hell they're shooting warning shots!" She barks.

"Agents! I hope to God you got some ideas!" Franklin calls out, holding his own M4 carbine, using the rear section of the Blackhawk as his cover. He was pressing tightly against it when his head whipped around and he jerked the rifle to his shoulder. "VEHICLES BEHIND!" He calls out, as a convoy of 3 Marine Hummvee's roll up to the landed group, obviously controlled by beings with sanity or reasonable intelligence. Mind, they were also decked out for a war-zone in full US Marine MOPP gear, or at least, a mimicry of such considering it appeared their faces were no longer human, which caused the gas masks to not sit quite right, or be heavily modified.

Pulling into a quarter circle around the 4 helicopters, the vehicles are emptied of several Marines, all quickly pointing their own M4's are those present. One of the larger ones steps forward, jerking his rifle. "LAY DOWN YOUR ARMS AND COME OUT WITH HANDS IN THE AIR!"

Savi eyes the soldiers for a moment, then shrugs. Slowly reaching one hand to a holster, she draws out a smallish stick and tosses it at the feet of the armed militants. "That's the only weapon I brought today." she says honestly. Here armored gave beating down on the soldiers like an act of defiance. "now what?" she says softly, waiting to see if this will become a bloodbath.

Angus turns to the soldiers with his weapon still at the ready as he smiles! "Cute popguns, you get them out of a cracker jack box?" He snaps as he looks them over before lowering his rifle as his right hand rests at his hip and he looks them over with a nonchalant air about him as he stands there.

Locke spun about in confusion behind her cover, her gaze coming to rest on the unusual beings in military outfits and gas masks. Wait, gas masks...? "If they're wearing gas masks, then either they think WE have gas-based weapons or THEY have gas-based weapons they intend to use..." She whispered into her MIC. "It's hard to tell... I think I see muzzles on a few of them. Paws? I can't see too well from her." She didn't like the way things were going... If things went south, she'd be running the opposite direction, full-sprint.

Edel remains a stump. Completely not-suspicious. Just doing stump things. Watching and listening, mostly, seeing as she remained in full control of her senses. Those stone knvies remained embedded harmlessly in the ground, for now, pommel-up. She does nothing, though. Can't afford to blow her cover.

Rev who had been attempting to sneak around the enemy with the use of his illusionary powers. Instead settles dwn, and hide himself using the same power. While he turns his head to watch the vehicles, and their occupants as they arrive."Well now this is certainly something I don't see every day. He mutters to himseld. As he waits to see just what the new arrivals will do.

Climbing out of the helicopter, Bruce has his hands up, and is looking over those present who were armed. "Well? Do it! We might be able to talk to their leader and arrange something!" He pleads, wanting to try and prove he could lead the situation.

Growls, standing up and holding her SMG high before bending over and putting it on the ground. Franklin sighs, and does the same. "I don't like this John..." He mutters, walking forward towards the apparent Marines, and kneeling, hands clasping behind his head. The rest of those assembled for the mission do so as well.

"Private Spenili! Check them! Middle East Ruleset!" The largest orders, turning his head to look to one of the beings behind a vehicle. Slinging their rifle, the ordered character walks forward, and starts giving those on the ground a patting down. Then looking for rank or position identifiers, cuts them off, and strips all those present to their undergarments. Meanwhile, a few more Marines are moving around where Edel vanished, carefully prodding the area with the tips of their rifles, apparently attempting to locate her. Behind Rev however, he feels the press of a rifle on his back.

"Stand up slowly, hands above your head and this won't get ugly scalie." The voice, gruff but firm behind Rev says. If he were to look behind him, he'd see one of the first of the beings without a mask, and the reality isn't hugely surprising for those who'd been in Fairhaven long enough. It would appear whatever hit this part of San Diego turned those present here quite literally into the Marine's namesake of 'Devil Dogs'. There was some feminine lines to the face behind Rev, but it was currently curled into a determined scowl while they waited for his action.

As the soldier approches Savi She levels her masked gave into his eyeline. "You will have no problems from me... unless you try and touch me." Hands still raised, her body unmoving, only the coldness in her voice belays the fact that this is not likely an idle threat. "Nothing that makes me dangerous can be removed."

Edel was still 'nowhere' to be found! What a mystery! A single black feather can be seen trying to flit away in a breeze, but is hung up on the grass. Perhaps she flew away? That would be bothersome, wouldn't it?

Angus looks over everyone and frowns as he lays his rifle on the ground, still active, before placing his arms at his side in easy view as he smiles at the soldiers. He studies what they are doing, his eyes narrowing as he decides to put his hands up instead if being defiant. But he does not move.

Locke glanced at the number of soldiers and firearms, then counted her legs... Two .Vs... Many. Odds? Bad. Thus, she set her Remington down, kicked it away, then dropped to the ground. "Well, at least they're not ferals. THEN we'd be fucked. Literally." She said into her MIC with a sigh.

Rev turns his head sideways and looks at the apparently female devil dog as he stands the short dragon smirks."Easy there ma'am. We wouldn't want someone getting hurt." He says while simultaneously creating a clone illusion of himself as he stands, and at thesame time hides himself from her view. Should his illusion succeed the dusk dragon who is noticeably shorter than his would be captor would sneak behind her, and our the too of his blade to her back. While he debates hacking her knees out from under her for the scalie comment. Which he really didn't appreciate do to his smooth hides lack of scales.

As each person is checked over, the insignia removed is handed back to those it belonged to. They were told to hold it in front of them in a way that would keep them visible. Those that were surrendering where gathered up and kept away from the helicopters. "Sergeant, you better not be playing hard to get with that... plant thing!" The largest barks, finally pulling his mask off, now letting the rest see why his mask seemed so ill-fitting.

"Captain, I'm not sure I could move it if I wanted to! And I think it's a her sir!" The Marine nearest Savi called back. He was edging closer to her, his rifle pointed at her, though he wasn't quite sure if her threat was fully legit or just bluster.

Meanwhile, for Rev's situation, the Marine who'd gotten the jump on him was reaching for her radio, while getting ready to nudge his illusion with her rifle barrel, only to find it go through. "SIR! I got one unknown missing! He... put up some kind of illusion!" She says, now gripping her rifle and looking around, trying to find him. Just as Rev might be able to get the drop on Marine in front of him, the sound of another gunshot and the sudden piercing pain of a bullet tearing into his lower leg causes problems.

You know, the life of a stump is pretty interesting. You just sort of sit there for a while, and life moves on around you. The trees hog all the glory with their leaves and such, but it's not so bad. People can count your rings - in this case the stump has 24 - and they can sit on you to have a nice rest, and all kinds of neat things. Edel has time to ponder these things as she waits, watching. Looking for reason to let her disguise drop, one way or another.

The gunshot reminds Savi of the position they are in now, and calmly removes her gear, a process wich seems almost comically time consuming. Saving the helmet for last, she stands disrobed all but for her pattern of eye-twisting thin line tattoos. Nudging the gear toward the soldier with a cluster of leg vines. "I have personal space issues." she says calmly. Waiting for the soldier to bend close to collect the gear, she speaks in her soft voice once more. "You are not any safer now." she wispers just for him.

Rev stumbles, and lets out a growle of pain while his tail raps around the woman's legs, and pulls them out from under her. then takes off in a limping run while chugging some healing milk. hopefully with his probably brief head start, and the milk he would hopefully be able to out run her, and escape.

Angus juffs a little as he sits there, a little uncomfortable without the familiar weight of his equipment as he props his hand in his chin. "So, we just playing strip tease or is there a reason you took all my toys?" He asks as he smiles up at the nearest guard, showing allllll his teeth.

Locke hummed a small tune to herself, dirty thoughts making her drip at the crotch dramatically, resulting in a rather scented puddle beneath her. She almost looked like she'd pissed herself. However, those with a stronger self of smell could likely determine the difference... Possibly even some without. "Permission to speak?" She asked with a slight tremble in her voice.

As Rev is running, another shot is heard, and this time, his kneecap blowing out from behind as another bullet punches through him. The MArine who'd jumped him is now tackles him, and roughly pulls him off the ground. "Keep it up buddy, and them sniper's won't stop be so nice!" She growls, dragging him with her to the group.

The rest are left wondering while the Marines around them converse on the matter. "Sir, RSX and Zephyr, we know. There's a third group and what look like a few mercs. If we had to be honest... Sir, I think they're looking for resources, though from where I haven't a clue." One of the Marines says, looking at the assembled. The Captain merely looks at them carefully, and ponders the situation. "Get the General on the horn. Maybe these folks do want to talk, but we ain't putting 'em in the same room as him. I know I don't want to piss him off, not after what happened to Colonel Bull." The Captain orders, walking over to the group assembled. Kneeling down, looking over them, he sighs. "Alright, which one of ya'll is leading this raggity ass assembly?" He asks, expecting a variety of answers.

One of the Marines nearest Locke grunts and kicks her gently in the side as a clue to tell her to shut up. At this point, all the Marines had removed their masks, and while there were differences, it looked like on teh whole, they all got hte same form treatment.

Angus flicks his ears as the soldier gets near him, trying to see if his rifle was still whining. "Did you mess with my rifle? As it might not be the best idea to be putting a fully charged, ready to fire Tesla rifles safety on. That this is tempermental as a feral in rut.....Please tell me you didn't put it near the rest of the equipment?" He asks, actually giving the marine a worried glance before he glance turns to where he could hear the whine.

:looing around the group of soldiers Savi can't elp but chuckle. "So... you had to shoot at us in the air and on the ground, surround us, then strip us nude so you could hand us a radio?" Smirking openly the plant continues. "You are some pretty messed up-in-the-head pseudo-sodiers huh?"

Rev gives a disgruntled growl before wrenching free of the woman, and shakingly forces himself to his feet. Rather annoyed by the snipers skill, and of course bullet holes in his left leg. The injured dragon goes along with the woman quietly at least for now while he devises a plan to turn things to his favor."You know you should be thankful. I could have chopped your legs out from under you instead of just tripping you." He says with a somewhat annoyed by the undignified treatment. As he limos back in the direction of the rest if the group.

Locke whimpered, slipping her fingers down to her sopping wet bitch-hole slowly, her arms under her belly. Dipping her furry clawed fingers into it, she let out a long, soft growl. While pleasant, however, it was far from sating... Her body was starting to heat up as well, giving a deep blush to the portions of her skin that showed... Which was quite a bit, at this point.

Bruce stands up, obviously embarassed by his state of clothing, and raises his hand. "I am. We were looking for supplies to help fill what we need to rebuild." He says, hoping that someone wouldn't snipe him right now. When the Captain merely nods, and takes the wolf away, he pauses a short distance away. "And can someone please get the horny bitch to calm down? She's making a lewd fool of herself." He says, looking at the lot of them, before turning and heading to the hummvee the other Marine had left for.

The rifle Angus seemed worried about got louder and louder in it's whine, but a muffle 'fump' sound happened, as it discharged the built up energy into the ground. The marines guarding the gear looked at the pile, then each other, and shrugged, waiting for things to be handled.

As Rev is brought forward, he's pushed towards the rest of hte group, and 'politely' pushed to his knees as they repeat teh process of checking him over. The marine shakes her head, and looks at the rest. "Seriously, command was afraid of this lot?" She mutters near one of hte other Marines, who shrugs. "Hell if I know Brooks. We got told to pin 'em here, find out what the hell they wanted, and let higher decide from there." He says, looking over the group.

Hearing their distinct lack of fear and worry... Well that just couldn't do. They were getting too sure of themselves. Too cocky. And Edel's urge to prank was growing ever higher. Slowly, the dark, finely carved stone knives that had laid forgotten in the ground start to rise up, hovering in the air, seemingly of their own accord. While the marines have their backs turned to the stone weapons, they all propel themselves back into the ground with several muffled thumps, leaving them in a smiley face formation, with eerie accuracy and speed.

Angus breaths a sigh of relief Angus looks up at the soldiers and grins. "Welp, at least it didn't blow up this time. I would hate to have to build it over again, that thing was hard to put together." He mutters to himself as he dusts his hands off and, pulls a deck of cards from his sleeve and starts shuffling. "soooooo, anyone want to play a card game while we wait for the jarheads to do something?"

Savi eyes the soldiers for a few more moments, before she just abruptly stands up and raises all her arms in the air, stetching casualy. "So...." she says to anyone paying attention, "you don't know why people are worried about us?" turniing her head to look over the assembled group she turns back to the soldiers. "We could show you, or you could hurry this call up, we have shit to do."

Rev lets out a slight grunt of discomfort, and looks up at the woman."Really now I get shot in the kneecap, and you put md on my knees." The dusk dragon feigns further discomfort. While smiling inwardly now thst he was out into proximity of so many people. The dusk dragon inhales softly as if savoring the scent of s fine meal. While he begins to train the passions from those around him wether it be the lust radiaiting from Locke. Or any other possible forks those around him may be feeling such as anger. This of course would lead those around him to a rather serene and peaceful state. As he consumes the passions He regains the energy, and strength he spent in his escape attempt.

Locke blinked slowly, the wetness and heat gathered in her groin slowly fading to nothing. "Aww... That was the first time I've gone into heat... And rut." She said with a pout, sitting up slowly. "Hmm... Er, can we have our stuff back or are we still in trouble for... Flying?"
