In the Taskmaster's hut Nichole is busy pouring over maps and information she managed to gather. The Fox Taur waits for the support she requested to arrive. In behind her is a projection from an old schoolhouse projector showing an image of a Female Husky. She pads around a bit, seeming to stuggle with nerves a bit before sitting down and just waiting. Outside, the rainstorm pours on, making her concider if this was a good time to try this or not.

With a light thump signally his arrival, a large solar dragon walks into the hut - he is a larger, imposing figure. The normal shine associated with his kind is largely absent - dulled and covered by camo-paint and mud. A large powerpack is on his back, hooked up to a rather large rifle modeled after a Mk14 EBR. He wears what appears to be an oversized army uniform, though lacking identifying markings. He examines the room and nods politely in greetings to the hut's only inhabitant in greetings before sitting himself down near the table, glancing between the projection of the female husky in front and the door in the back, waiting for whoever else will be joining him.

Still trying to enjoy her vacation, Savi was unable to just sit by after the radio call. Hitching a ride most of the way there, the little plant slowly moves into the room and takes up a spot in the back corner. With a polite but tiny nod to the two others Savi turns to face the projection. Trying to remain little and unnoticed she waits for the briefing, wondering idely who else will show up this time and if they can stop themselves from destroying everything.

Bah! A rainstorm and a suit wearing lion. Probably not the best choice of attire for the circumstances, but looking sharp is the key to success, along with another thousand things. With shotgun as his side, Dio enters the hut and desperetly attempts to remove any water that had drenched his cloth and dense mane. Of course, such actions were of little result beyond wasted energy and a few splattered drops of water splashing upon the floor. "Evening, ladies and gentlemen," he bows, now clearly revealing the catgirl hanging upon his back! Nodding to the others, the drenched lion takes a seat and crosses his legs, placing Cookies upon his lap so he can lean back a little. "So, a community of ferals is it?"

Katalynia looks around shivering against the rain, before entering. Why does it always have to rain? "Did I hear something about some help needed with ferals?"

Cookies waves slightly to the room as Dio bows down, looking about as drenched and terribly disgruntled at the covering of rainwater. Once placed in her lion's lap, she shuffles back against him 'til her back is pressed against his front. Peering around at the room, she lets out a slight 'hmph' as her tail curls 'round Dio's middle. "You mean like th..." She then bites her lip and peers at anything BUT Nicole. "Uhh... Th.. The... Not this place, no sir," she murmurs out oh-so-tactfully. Smooth.

Edel skitters through the rain, not carrying her hammer today, but an umbrella instead! Hammers aren't as effective at protecting from the rain, and she can't have her dress getting wet, now can she? "I'm here, I'm here! I'll take any chance to help ferals! ... Hopefully that's what we're doing, anyway."

The rain is still audible, but it seems to have stopped falling right outside. Then a big, nebula-irised eye is peering through the doorway. Someone went and told Aliasi... "Hey, I heard you all were planning something. Thought I might offer to be transportation-slash-big scary asshole that'll draw fire."

Alastor was not too far out and was able to walk, well slither, there with no problem. He came in not minding the rain in his current form. If anything he appreciated it even though it made his lab coat hang on him a little. He nearly stopped as he saw the Cosm in front of the hut, and he realized he had seen her once before outside the Zephyr complex. Well... he hoped that it was Aliasi. He barely crept forward and called out, "Ali - Aliasi was it? It'ss Alastor. Umm... may I get by?" The hydra asked politely with his midleft head while crouched slightly, ready to fly away if need be.

After the group as assembled, Nichole puts on her 'work' face and gets to explaining things, pointing to a map and waving to everyone, even those who can't quite fit inside. "Here, out in the north east corner of Fairhaven, we have found an unusual group of ferals, all Huskies, most female, but the most unsual part is this one." she says now pointing to the projector, "She is the strongest, most powerful example of a Female Husky we have ever seen. We have sent in a few teams to investigate her, but... well.. even our best either return huskies, don't come back, or come back with so little information as to be useless. We need more information on her, so, head out to where she and her pack have made their den, near Point Zero, and come back with something we can use. Any questions?"

Edel rubs her neck. "Huh, huskies? I should've come as a husky today, but I'm always willing to talk to them! I don't think I have any questions, though. I'm ready to go whenever the others are."

Savi listens to the info and wonders how this is going to go. Info, not blood is what they want, but what price will be paid to get it. Sliding up to Edel, a teamate she is comfortable around, Savi tries to shadow her friend planning to follow the group, planning on doing her best to help but deciding she wont kill anything unless there are no choices left at all.

Aliasi clears her throat. "So what is 'most powerful', here? Like, is this a Husky that can bench a Buick, or some such? Or some kind of strange abilities?"

Arano looks at the projector and thinks over what questions he might have. He smirks at Edel a bit, knowing how she usually looks when he sees her, and then remarks, "So... what ACTUALLY makes this one special? I mean, this sounds like a regular group of ferals with a prime leading them - or is that the part we don't know? Which then begs the question: why do we think this is anything BUT a group of female huskies with a prime version?"

Dio pets the feline within his lap with long, slow strokes, almost as if he were caring for a cute little kitten. Water still dripping off his soggy and jungle-like mane, he gives his head a little shake and waves to the new arrivals before listening intently to the briefing. "How interesting. I do hope that this particular husky isn't converting people into ferals with various methods." Dio gently begins to stand out of his seat, placing Cookies back down on the floor. "Very well my lady, I do believe this deserves investigation. We shall go at once. And hopefully without violence," he says, taking a moment to look at Cookies. "It could be a prime, or perhaps something more grand. If they had all the details, they wouldn't need to send us."

Cookies lets out a sad mewl as she's put down, then clambers her way around to climb up onto Dio's back again, letting out a soft sigh. "Okay so you sent in teams of your best and now you've sent out a random call for a ragtag bunch of jerks. I mean, I'm not going to argue with payment, nor the fact that we /rock hard/, but I'm just saying that you really need better solutions to these issues than 'hey let's throw minor variants of the same thing at it repeatedly until it works'." Her nose is all upturned in that snooty, condescending sort of way and everything. Sheesh.

Aliasi chuckles, "Well, they haven't sent ME yet, so there's already an improvement in their decision-making ability, right?"

Arano turns to look at Cookies, and in spite of her tone, he can't help but say, "Did I mention I like you? I don't think I did."
