Hopping out of the jeep, he stretches out and shakes his muzzle, letting the rain wash away some of the drowsiness as he peers at Meenah and tilts his head a little. "Oh, maybe this will remind you." Otto notes and winks at her, a tug to her tail and a peck to her lips given, leading into a swift squeeze and a subtle cup of the rear, before Otto parts from her with a soft giggle, only to come face-to-face with Lizzie. "There you are!" he yips excitedly. "God fucking damn it, Liz. About time I saw you on one of these! Anyway!" he clasps his hands and scurries to climb onto the jeep's bonnet.
"Everyone get inside, we're gonna be heading off to check out a ruined fabrication facility of sorts. Scouting reports indicate it should be a smooth, safe ride all the way there, though what we find once in the damn place is... well, a mystery. I hope you folks know your machines, cause I'm not gonna be joining you." the fennec announces, before swinging over the edge of the driver's seat window and into his seat. He sounds the horn and yells out. "Well, come on then! Get in before you get soaked! We have a job to do!"
"Sometimes that's more of a curse than a blessing, Eb. Anyway..." the fox turns the key to the jeep and revs the engine. It rumbles into life and roars as he presses down the gas pedal. "Glad you decided to come as less of a hulk, Eb. We'll need the space and the weight capacity to carry what we find, if we find something worth bringing back. For all I know it could all be rust, but you never know until you look, right?" the fenenc shrugs, then sighs deeply and rolls his eyes at Lizzie's comments. "Well, we wouldn't want to get your boot dirty, would we?" he snickers and leans over to give Ciana a lick on the cheek. "Just try to stay safe, alright? Like I said, you won't be with me, you'll be with them. All I am gonna do is guard the jeep."
That said, "Too late to think about your shit, folks!" he shifts into gear and floors the gas, with a wild screech as the tires grind against the floor, the engine roars and the group departs at a rapid pace towards their destination. "SO!" Otto yips enthusiastically "We will be there in no time at all, god I love driving in the rain, if you folks have any questions, now's the time. Otherwise... enjoy the beats!"
As they enter the post-apocalyptic ruins, the state of disarray and chaos becomes readily apparent, buildings mostly collapsed, looted and left to crumble with age, any signs of their past function left subtle, if not completely unseen. What few structures remained upright already had their windows shattered and doors kicked in, picked clean by wandering thugs, no doubt.
"Really makes you appreciate what we got back home, eh?" Otto comments as they move towards their target, just a few more turns made before he hits the brakes, the jeep rocking from the sudden deceleration. To their left was the barren wasteland, nothing to see, nothing to do there, but to their right stood a half-ruined structure, ready to collapse on itself any moment now, the rest naught but a pile of rubble. Otto gestures towards the poorly remains and sighs "Here it is. We're looking for a way into their underground facility, though odds are it'll be covered in rubble. Have a good look around, and try not to be very destructive about it. That thing looks like it's ready to collapse, and I'd rather it doesn't do so on your heads, folks." the fennec warns "I'll be here with the car."
Once Lizzie nears the dent in the otherwise uniformly flat surface of rubble, she could feel it shift and give way under her feet. The entirety of the brittle and barely stable pile starts to collapse in on itself, pooling downwards into the depths of what was a pitch black pit!
Her reflexes and balance sadly fail her and the poor woman ends up falling flat on her rear, taken down into the depths of that pitch black abyss by the crumbling rubble as the very pit widens, its borders expanding and collapsing outwards! She would find herself surrounded by darkness, save for what light came in from the pit above. Her body would be severely bruised, though thank the stars she would not feel anything... broken.
