(Erika) A short way down the western road leading away from Crater Lake, a small base camp seems to be set up. One medium-sized tent, four mutants, and MANY crates. Lots and lots of crates. The mutants assembled appear to be two huskies, one average and the other large. The other two mutants consist of a mutant so armored it's hard to tell what she is, and lastly a black and white furred rabbit. They're all gathered around the crates, waiting for people to arrive. The smaller husky is a busty lady, dressed almost entirely in black outlaw leathers, including the black cowgirl hat. She has long blond hair, straight and held in a pony tail. The armored mutant is encased entirely in a set of power armor, carrying several weapons large and small.
(Euoia) Euoia sighs. She didn't know what to expect and guesses things are still setting up. The anime babe saunters over to the group. "I uh... I heard there was supposed to be a thing tonight. I'm guessing things are still being set up. Y'all good or you need some extra help?"

Euoia grabs her flask from it's shoulder holster and takes a swig. She's not very strong but could help out. She takes a look at the armored mutant. "Nice gear," she says to them, "Don't worry. i won't touch unless allowed." She gives it? a smile and a nod. "I take it you don't have a magic wand or staff in there?"
(Fenris) That shambling, shuffling gait. That fixed stare. That rictus grin set in an unmoving face. It is apparent that Fenris is...

Wearing a fursuit?

A comms scan shows that Fenris is here, but who can really be sure who is wearing the friendly, chunky tanuki mascot costume that is shuffling along the road in a little freestyle dance? The mascot spins a large sign painted with a donut, a hamburger, and a generic soft drink on it. The sign seems to be fixed to some sort of long polearm.

He shuffles up to the gathering point and gives his sign one last flourish before leaning on it and giving a friendly wave to the assembled mutants.
(Chessly) A mercenary group? An exploration party? A cat-boy watches the camp from afar trying to parse what possibly could they have planned there, he didn't come prepared with any fancy weapons or gadgets on hand. All he had was a burning curiosity, and the oversized lab coat hanging on his body.

Making his way to the small camp the the curious feline notices stack of crates.

He keeps some distance towards the pile, waves at the mutants, and stares down the power armor. Chessly has taken an interest in what the mutant is wearing, and from afar tries to guess what possibly features the neat piece of equipment could possibly have.
(Forkbomb)

It was an odd day.

Forkbomb, the athletic ninja tanuki girl clad in tight and skimpy cyberpunk apparel, strode out towards the tent and let out a long exhalation.

"We're here."

There's a moment of hesitation, more due to the social anxiety of meeting back up with Moresson than anything else, before she tossed her brightly colored hair and made herself known. "I... Have arrived. I admit, I've never been here before." She looks out over the expanse, the horizon of Crater Lake. "Please don't take it the wrong way, but I haven't heard anything about what happened here other than what are probably ghost stories. Mind filling me in?"
(Symaro) What does fourteen years feel like to Symaro? A lifetime, two lifetimes as a matter of fact. This lad is only seven years old, and in his short time on this god-overloaded world! Since crawling out his egg, Symaro had been through several hells, two of which were quite literal in function and purpose. The gator had gone through more stages in life than your average human ten times his age, but in a setting this absurd and riddled with extraplanar influences, was that any surprise? Heavy footfalls announce his presence, metal clanking dimly against the hardened terrain, coat swishing in the wind and hat tilted down to keep those vertically slit irises concealed. Hands swinging lightly to either side of his hips, Symaro nears the meeting point, glance wandering left and right, nose scrunched up slightly from the malodorous influence of the surrounding area. His nose tilts upwards, footfalls ceasing just before the gathering, gaze surveying his surroundings, body awash with the familiar aura of the signal's absence.

So what was this gathering about anyway? Some crackpot prophet looking to divulge mystical truths onto those willing to listen? An enterprising journalistic ploy to seed some dissent and cash in on the ensuing chaos? The packminds having branched out in an attempt to lore unsuspecting victims into their collective? Only one way to find out. "Funny place to host a party." He comments offhandedly, nearing the campsite with one hand holding the brim of his hat, the other tucked into his light brown duster's pocket. Tilting his headwear such it no longer obscures his vision, he is better able to recognize a few faces. "Fenris." One hand reaches out, a smile tugging at the gator's maw. "As I live and breathe. You have a nose for trouble like none other. Nice to see you again mate." His glance snaps around the others, a dip of his maw in greeting in greeting cast towards Euoia, Junes and Ambessa, suggesting familiarity but little shared history otherwise. As for the camp-goers. "Heeey Morri. You've changed your hair! It suits you." The gator smirks softly and crosses his arms, peering into the mask of her armor with vivid amusement.

"So this is where you've been holed up all this time. I heard something about you digging your heels into arms dealing. No wonder my agents have been finding more bullet holes and burn marks around town. Hope you're keepin' as good as you're lookin'." Symaro presses his foot into the ground and digs his heel in for a few moments, the crinkling of pebbles and displacement of grime eerily audible in this area of uncanny stillness. T'was a mite unsettling, yet oddly soothing given the picturesque woodlands surrounding them. "I'd ask what's dragged you all the way out here of all places, but I have a gut feeling we're about to find out." He pruses his lips and whistles sharply upon noting the surroundings. "Smells like something big's being built here though. You planning to start your own town or something Morri?" His glance snaps back towards the armored woman. "Running for mayor or police chief?"
(Luard) Carrying several crates at once with ease, the larger of the two huskies already gathered sets the crates down among the rest of the large assortment. He's significantly larger than the cowgirl husky, somewhere around 9, maybe 10 feet tall. He's dressed in a long, black duster coat, the coattails reaching part-way down his legs, with a white shirt and black pants on, gaps fitted into each article of clothing to let the husky's tail and two large, white, feathered wings reach out the back of them freely. Once he's set the crates down and straightened back up to his full height, he walks over to the armored mutant, chuckling to himself at the interesting assortment of mutants approaching. "Looks like an interesting bunch." He spends a moment looking in confusion at the mascot fursuit, giving a bemused wave in return, before chuckling again at the armored mutant and lightly elbowing the side of the power-armor in a joking manner after the anime babe talks to them. "Looks like you've got a new fan already." The large husky adjusts the weapons on his back and belt, making sure they're secure. Looks like a sword and a glaive, giving a nodding welcome to the feline in a lab coat approaching as well.
(Nayru) pot
(Junes) Junes walks in and double checks the paper making sure this was the meeting area. After seeing the base the chimeric hoodied hissah walks along calm but excited about another new adventure awaiting them in the unknown .
(Anbessa) Anbessa has been lazily leaning against his own lightly planted polearm as he mellows out as he awaits the arrival of everyone else. Though he had certainly came to this prepared, he seemed either anxious or at least uncomfortable as he lightly can be seen tugging at the straps on what looks to be repaired police riot armor. Either he has not worn it in a while, or something else is going on, but either way he seemed to be rather armed, albiet in more straightforward equipment.

With a polearm in one hand that he is leaning on, and what looks to be a rather intricately crafted bow, with a metal quiver rack on his back left shoulder that is seen supporting 10 rather nicely crafted, blue tipped arrows that lightly glow. Beneath them all is a small pair of bags with what seems to be replacement arrowheads and fletchings for making fresh arrows as they go. Still, this bun is wearing rather... Archaic weaponry.

Though as new people start to approach, the buck simply lifts his previously drooping ears and gives one handed waves to everyone that arrives. Nobody he thinks he can recognize from a glance, but... Is that a fursuit? Ooookay... An anime babe gets a curious ear twitch from the buck as well. Not exactly a very common form, but hey, neat... Oh, there is someone! Symaro of course gets a familiar wave and smile from the bunny as well, the bunny's eartips twitching for just a moment. The catboy and tanuki also get curious looks from the bunny, but the buck certainly does not give an unwelcoming air to him as much as someone who probably is just mellowing out and relaxing before whatever misadventures are about to begin.
(Nayru) A brief sigh escapes an otherwise silent shadow as she makes her way to the meeting spot. It has been awhile since Nayru has came out all this way, much less by herself. Unpleasant memories playing back in her mind as she remembers her previous visits in this direction. Though this was to special for her to just sit back and ignore.

The small bunny didn't look to be openly armed on first look. Her blatant gear consisting of an oversized, worn out hoodie and a ducktaped backpack, both looking to be rather old at this point. Yet one this did stand out from her. A cacophony of white, fluffy tails following behind her, moving in a mesmorizing pattern with whatever movement that she had made.

Those eyes glance about for a brief second at the others who have came here. The usually variety of mutants one would expect from this event. Several of whom seemed to be actively armed. Nayru was rather wary, but otherwise remains natural as she moves about. Just finding a quiet spot to stand and wait to see if anyone else would show up.
(Erika)

The Armored husky grips her assault rifle more tightly as others begin to approach, looking at them and watching them, seemingly acting as a guard for this operation. When she receives the comment about her armor, she gives the anime girl a nod, glancing to Luard and chuckling. However, seeing the mascot suit approaching, she raises her rifle right at Fenris. "Should I take it out now and save us some trouble?" she asks, but the cowgirl husky chuckles and shakes her head. "Nah, it's fine." she replies to the armored mutant. The armored mutant, who Symaro seems to know as Moresson, then glances towards the gator, letting out a soft grunt. "Magnus? That you? No, same hair, but I see you've changed a lot more than just that. And yeah, no shortage of new bullet holes. Get used to it." she tells him through her power armor helmet, lowering her gun away from Fenris. A soft chuckle escapes her, and she shakes her head. "No Magnus, I'm not really planning much, I'm here for whatever she has planned." she says, pointing to the cowgirl husky.

Speaking of, the cowgirl turns to look at the anime girl, shaking her head. "Not really, we got most of what we need right here, and everything is in place. Thanks, though." she says, turning her attention to Forkbomb. "Yeah, I've read the reports myself, thoroughly. But I'm confident." she adds on, watching the others arrive. In response to Symaro and Moresson's talk of building a city, the cowgirl just smiles, letting that one sit for now. At this point, everyone has seemingly assembled, and the cowgirl husky gets up onto a box, coming close to Luard's height, but not quite. There she waves for everyone's attention to her. "Y'all might be wondering why we're here. Well, I'll tell you. I was born after P-Day. I've got no memories of what life was like 'before the world ended', as the old-timers like to say. My parents were both old-timers. After I was born, my dad abandoend the family. Never found him. Later, I watched my mom go feral and get carted off to who knows where. For a long time, I just been drifting in and out of the bubble, not even knowing what I was doing. I was just walking aimlessly, fighting aimlessly, always moving, always alone." she says, gesturing over towards Moresson the armored mutant.

"It was Moresson that brought me back to Fairhaven. When I met her she was looking for RSX for safety from life outside the bubble. And it was Moresson that made me realize I was already 10, and I ain't done shit with my life. That's when I really started to notice life around me, once my head was clear of the fog of loneliness. This is why I'M here. Freals roam the streets of cities that used to be filled with so much more hustling, bustling, and excitement. Fun, luxury, hard work. Life!" she says loudly, arms waving outward in an all-emcompassing motion.

"Buildings are left to crumble, their purpose long since lost and forgotten. The worst thing is... We'll never know what the people were like. It's been 14 years since P-Day. 14 years! Everything they once were is gone. And everyone just sits there, not a care in the world even as this... Overwhelming atrophy consumes everything. As long as it doesn't touch them or their loved ones, they're content with the world as it is... But I say 'fuck that'! First of all, the world didn't end. It's still here, the old-timers are still here, the new generation is here now. The world as they knew it ended, but people are still around. This ain't the end, and I ain't gonna treat it like it is. It's only the beginning. I'll be damned if I'm gonna let the outside world fall to nothingness. This is OUR world now, and the seeds of culture and prosperity are still standing. For now. I don't need memories of the past, 'cause I'm not bringing back the past. I'm reclaiming the building blocks the old-timers built for us, and creating new life on top of them. New markets, new workshops, new festivals, new culture. So I ask y'all now... Why are YOU here?"

(Euoia) Euoia nods and accepts that the party is ready already. Then the 'youngling husky' gave what she thought was a good speech. "Why am I here... I know i don't look old, but I stopped growing when the old world burned. Back then, I was a small person with small dreams and small thoughts. I didn't have to worry about things. I tried finding a place for me as a small person. When P-day hit, I was a lowly research assistant and part of internal affairs at my job. When I came to, i lost everything. My life, my job, my history. I went crazy for a little before I was found. I wasn't a big enough person to accept what I could do in this new world. SO i found a bunker and went back to sleep."

"When I woke back up, things were better. It was easier to interact with people. It was like the nightmare of P-Day was gone. I had wanderlust, and resigned up as an agent with my rescuers at Zephyr. If i'm not patrolling, i can always go out and repair stuff. I'm always needed for something. and, I think that's why i'm here."
(Fenris) Fenris shrugs and waves, not talking yet. His stitched on grin as enigmatic as ever. The mascot tanuki does a little dance in a circle and then strikes a pose. It does not seem to have much bearing on the current conversation.
(Chessly) The cowgirl huskynude message resonated with the cat-boy, ever since P-day he wanted to change the world back to what it was, to breath life back into the city, but nothing he ever did seemed to work. Every new project crumbled under itnude own weight, and every bright idea squashed by Murphynude law. Her question ringed in the felinenude headHockeye was obviously here out of a burning curiosity, but that need to learn more, the purpose behind it was to bring a sense of liveliness to Fairhaven, somewhere for the people to feel like they had a home.

Clearing his throat the cat raises a paw as if he was a student in class. separate eople in Fair Haven deserve better, Inumber e been always searching for answers, and Inov l keep digging for them so one day folks can wake up and finally know and experience what I had while growing up.square Therenude a newfound confidence in the cat-boynude eyes, his tail cannudge seem to stay still, henude itching to do whatever this group has in mind.
(Luard) Looks like quite the party. Luard had wondered just how many would show up after Erika's little flier scheme. Looks like many are already aquainted. The large husky even seems shocked when any one of them recognizes Moresson. But he gives polite nods from his high advantage, generally only smiling and nodding back whenever someone greets him directly, not keen on making big introductions. He does take time to notice the bunny... kitsune? Keeping a curious eye on her before giving a greeting nod to her too. He strolls past Anbessa and gives the bunny a pat on the shoulder as he finishes moving things into position, before standing beside the armored mutant, another wary look cast towards the strange mascot. "Heh, maybe you're right Moresson. Maybe we should just take it out now." Seems aside from moving things, the large canine was hear on guard duty with the power-armor wearer. He listens with a slight grin to his muzzle as he watches Erika deliver her speech, giving the husky a quick round of applause once she metaphorically dropped the mic. "Nicely done, Erika." For his general friendliness, it seemed the larger husky was not going to give his own answer to Erika's question. He already had.
(Forkbomb) The tanuki ninja leans back a bit, rubbing the back of her neck. "Would you believe me if I said that I kinda feel like I owe Moresson a favor?"

She shakes her head. "But seriously, I'm here to do a bit of looting. Not to profit." And then after pausing and contemplating that for more than half a second. "Well, not just to profit. But because I believe that there was a communal Library of Alexandria in the internet of the era. Something nascent, beautiful. And destroyed. I'm here to preserve what data I can, so that I can see about distributing everything I can to as many people as I can. It might be a catalogue of fictional water-wheel cars, it might be the 1904 Summer Olympics brochure, it might be an obscure Atari 2600 game that only a handful of people have ever seen. I ultimately got my degree because I wanted to have a complete collection of porn. Nobody knows what the next big idea is going to come from. And I want to facilitate anyone to find their passion."

She parks herself down onto a crate, then draws her HARE and begins inspecting it. "So, what are we doing here?"
(Symaro) The gator shakes his head and leans against a nearby empty crate. "What can I say? I tried something new and it stuck like a bad habit. Won't hear me complain about it though. Least until I find a better version somewhere along the lines. Don't see myself changing to anything else anytime soon either. You though? Guessing you're still sporting the fluffy tail, perky ears and boopable nose." Symaro snickers softly, then adds with a soft tone. "Never change, Morri. You're one of a kind. And for reference, it's Symaro now. Magnus is a name I cast aside some years ago. Life has been a gracious upswing, and with the new skin a felt a new name is needed. Gods know I'd do anything to finally throw the past where it belongs. Behind me." The gator tilts his had down respectfully, then listens on with rapt attention at what they were all being told. The woman's words elicit a soft sigh from him, such vivid hope and enthusiasm, for something so perilous as starting a new community. Still, who was he to question this one's motives? Cynicism needs not be expressed right now. T'was not necessary in any way shape or form. Seems like a great many of the mutants were filled with similar desire for life and prosperity however. All and all it was quite heartwarming. Best keep that maw shut, let them speak their words, wait your turn patiently. When it does arrive however, the gator thinks for a moment and tilts his hat upwards such that he might peer the audience in the eyes, much the same they could read his expression.

"Seven. I've lived only seven years. Many tell me I'd lucked out. Time and again I catch callbacks to a time more perilous. When ferals yet roamed the streets of Fairhaven and attacked folks willy-nilly. For many providing the safety we now take for granted was their calling and their livelihood. We've seen the city blossom into something of a utopia since then. What we enjoy today was unheard-of, even when I was yet a wee dragonling, fresh from the egg." The fella draws in a deep breath and continues. "We've come a long way. We can go further. Hell, sometimes I wonder if we've gone a little too far..." Zephyr owning portals to heaven and hell being one example of potentially crossing a few lines, though they remain unmentioned. "If we can turn some crumbling city ruins infested with mindless feral mutants into an urban utopia, then I have no doubts we can apply that same ingenuity elsewhere to the same warm, cozy, safe and prosperous effect." He pauses for a moment and casts a glance towards the armored husky. "But to answer the question? Why am I here? To safeguard everything precious to me. My partners. My family. My home. I didn't choose it, but it's the one I got. That's more than a lot of unfortunate people are ever graced with. At least to me, that's something worth fighting for."
(Junes) hearing the speech junes nods in understanding and gives a "yeah!" periodically and after everything they mention "similarly to them" they say nodding towards euoia "i was around back then but I'll gladly help you reach those goals" but then after the tanuki mentioned their goal the nine tailed hissah loked excited and said "i cant wait for that day" and before waiting to listen more they saw a familiar armed husky and gave a friendly nine fox-tailed wave in addition to their handwave
