Log

The moment everyone appears ready, Rokarion assumes his cold, professional demeanor, "Very well, thank you ladies and gentlemen for coming on such a short notice." He says in a neutral tone, "The task at hand is going to take you to the east of here, outside the Fairhaven bubble. We lost contact with the laboratory around a month or so ago." The poodle continues, fingers steepled as he looks around, "Do not worry; the lab was merely focusing on plant research, mainly crop growth and the like. Recent scouting reports indicate that the reason of the loss of communication was because the lab was overran by ferals." The canine adds as he opens the helicopters door and motions the agents inside, "Your mission is simple, we need you to recover the research notes as well as any uncontaminated seeds inside the building. You can deal with the ferals as you see fit here. Ah, also another thing of note, the lab had its own regulation miniserver, so the place has its own 'bubble' so to speak. Any questions?"

Fenris takes another handful of peanuts, then hands the bag over to Arris, smiling through the rain deipping from his wide, bamboo hat. "Research notes and seeds," he confirms happily, "Yep! Got it!" With his assignment explained to the extent that the tanuki feels he needs, the hefty canid clambors into the helicopter, claiming the seat by the pilot. "Shotgun!" he calls out as he pits on his seat belt.

"Yeah, I've had the allergy since childhood. Turns out nanites can't cure allergies." The coyote shrugs, and climbs into the helicopter. "I'm ready whenever ya'll are."

"I wonder what would happen if I was allergic to dogs," Edel muses off-handedly as she approaches the helicopter, hopping in and closing her umbrella with a practiced motion. The tiny dog lady clambers up into a seat and makes sures she's properly secured before giving a wag of her tail. "I am ready!"

Arris nods. "Thanks." Sie wipes some of the water from hir clothes and skin before climbing into the helicopter, before looking back at Rokarion. "Oh, how can we tell what seeds are uncontaminated?"

Willyswift looks up to the poodle as he starts to get in and asks, ''what sort of ferals were present...and would fire based equipment be of any risk in use with what the lab was working on?''

Anbessa rests his hands at his sides as he listens to the briefing, glancing between the others while it goes on... Though at the end, he does raise a gloved hand. "How will we know i-" He pauses as Arris asks the question he was going to, though he shrugs and nods his head before returning his attention to the poodle. "Just any of them still clean looking, or ones that are still in whatever container they belong in?" Anbessa asks as he steps up towards the helicopter. Though he does turn his attention over towards Edel as he lets out a light chuckle. "It would probably be horrible to live in Fairhaven. Huskies around every corner. And all of the dog hair!" Though he does turn his attention towards Willy as he hears the fox. "I'd bet making the seeds roasted would be good, so fire should probably be used in moderation, right?" He asks, looking to Rokarion for confirmation as he gets into his seat, leaning forward a bit due to his bulky rifle on his back.

Mike gets into the helicopter as the team starts boarding the flying beast. "Yes, do keep collateral damage to a minimum." Rokarion says as he looks at the three beings asking questions, "And the seeds will most likely still be in the stockrooms and they will be in glass containers. Any seeds that have been germinated or exposed to the air are useless to us right now. Anything else or shall you gents depart?"

Fenris does not answer directly, but starts to loudly sing "The Ride of the Valkyries" as he sits in the front if the chopper wearing a headset that he has found somewhere while waving his ornate spear over his head. Looks like he is ready to fly.

Willyswift chuckles a little at Fenris' singing as he settles in his seat as the chopper journies on

"I'm fine to go," Edel repeats, her sword laid across her lap as she tugs her revolver from within her robe to make sure it is ready and loaded. "And keeping collateral down is something I'm good at!" Though Redd had proven to be... Less so.

Arris drops down into one of the seats in the chopper. "I'm good now." Arris starts munching from the bag of peanuts, as well as pulling out a jar of swirling liquid and drinking from it.

Willyswift as he sits there he pulls put out an aerosol can and checks it over looking at the lighter extension he had made for it.

Anbessa nods his head towards Rokarion as his fingers drum at his lap. "Alright then. I'm ready." The human rests his elbows on his legs as he sits leaning forward, glancing between the others before his gaze rests on the sword on Edel's lap. Safe to guess he is curious about everyone's equipment, though he stays quiet either way... Especially Willy's gear, which earns a raised eyebrow from the human and a momentary scoot a bit further from them. Glancing towards Fenris, he cannot help but chuckle and smile at the familiar tune as he faintly hums it along with 'em.

Rokarion closes the helicopter's doors and heads back into the building as Mike lifts up the helicopter off the pad, joining Fenris in singing the familiar song. It takes around four hours before the group has finally reached their destination. Mike slowly lowers down the vehicle on what looks like an abandoned refueling station a couple of hundred of meters away of the building. The doors of the helicopters open and Mike gestures to the group outside, "Ok, I will be coming back in three hours or so, good luck." He says before letting the group disembark.

Willyswift works on the lighter as the fligbt continued but finds he cannot shut it off easily and decides

Fenris leaps from the chopper, almost before it touches down. "Thanks, Mike!" the tubby tanuki cries as he dashes off toward the building, spear in hand, splashing a bit in puddles left by the rain. "Adventure!" he cries, heading straight for the open double doors, eyes scanning fir possible threats, despite his carefree charge and attitude.

Edel spent the flight snoozing, her hat tipped down over her eyes. She had little concern in flight, having been on so many by now. And only once... Maybe -twice- tops had there ever been an issue. When it arrives, though, she snorts and adjusts her glasses, slipping out of the helicopter after Fenris.

Arris ate the rest of the peanuts and drank half of the jar during the flight, and slept for the rest of it. When the chopper begins to land, Arris climbs out of it and drops down a second before Fenris, but sie doesn't run straight to the building.

Willyswift to make a mental note to be careful. Leaving the help he grunts as his groin and now enlarged balls tries to mess with his head but he dismisses such thoughts as best he can and does a careful first look of the area.

Anbessa, for the most part, stayed still and silent after the song was over, his eyes gazing out the window as they went. When they start landing and the doors open, he lets out a light, faintly relived sigh as he nods towards Mike... Though his attention is drawn back towards Fenris as he lets out a soft, annoyed sigh. "At least they know they have visitors now..." Anbessa quips as he steps out of the helicopter, his boots thumping against the wet ground as he moves his rifle off of his back and into his arms, flicking off the safety as he walks after Fenris.

Being the first one in the passenger compartment of a helicopter is a pain, it means you've got to be the last one out. "Gah, remind me to never sit in the back of a flight." Redd stretches a bit on getting out of the helicopter, feeling somewhat underprepared with only a sixshooter. Though, that was generally more than enough out of a bubble...

As the group disembarks, Fenris's charge certainly did not go unnoticed. When he reaches almost 50 meters from the building, two beings charge out of the door in front of them. The creatures, a bunny boy and a bunny girl as it appears, both clad in tattered 'loincloth' and wielding clubs in their hands as they charge the chubby tanuki, screaming all the way.

Fenris screams back at the charging bunnies, lowering his spear and picking up his pace, his warcry going before him! Then, at the last possible moment, the tanuki digs his spear into the ground and vaults as high as he can, tucking into a front flip to land beyond the enraged bunnies and continue his charge for the door, still shouting his battle cry!

Redd shakes his head, "You know, it's probably easier to deal with em outside than in the corridors!" He shouts after Fenris, before walking up to the bunnies at a walk.

Edel wanders forward a little more, hand rested on her sword's hilt, ready to draw. She's not about to act first, though. She'll wait for them to come for her, or try to negotiate with them if they don't!

"The door probably locked behind em!" Redd adds as an afterthought.

Arris whips a small jar at the bunnies. It hits about between them, covering most of them with the sticky liquid and creating a spray of sharp glass shards. Arris then draws a rapier before carefully approaching the bunnies.

Anbessa raises an eyebrow as his fingers drum at his rifle. While shooting them would probably work, it would be a bit overkill with his loadout. Lowering his rifle, he fishes into his pocket momentarily to fish out a small combat knife, gripping that in his now free hand as the other one lets the barrel of his rifle aim towards the ground as he follows behind Redd. Save the big guns for the big ones.

Fenris's acrobatic flip is pulled off rather well, the tanuki bypassing the two bunnies and landing beyond them, the landing was not the most well executed one, but hey! He is still running along and nothing but the door is in front of him.

The two bunnies stop for a second, confused by just what happened, but before they can react, Arris's bombs comes flying towards them. . .and then past them, exploding harmlessly at the building's wall. This however causes the two bunnies to growl and continue their charge at the rest of the group, trying to close the distance as quickly as possible.

Fenris ducks into the building, a happy smile on his face as he rolls past the door and looks around. He is here to collect seeds, not fight bunnies. The others can handle them, he is sure. Bunnies are cute and cuddly, right? The tanuki keeps his spear at the ready and looks around.

The coyote holds up his arms towards the lapines to show he's not holding anything, "I can't speak for the gator back there, but I haven't any intent to hurt ya'll. We're just supposed to get something that was left inside the storeroom. Would you mind if we did that?" Redd glares over his shoulder at Arris, more than a little annoyed.

Edel remains quiet, holding her ready stance. If Redd's attempts to sway them work, fantastic. Otherwise, she'll be ready. But until either outcome becomes clear, she's got nothing to do but wait and see.

Arris rolls hir eyes and backs off, letting Redd do the work. "Jeez, don't look at me like that. When something is charging at you with a club and a growl, you would be pretty startled too."

Willyswift steps up to the others but for the moment let's Redd attempt to take care of the situation. he keeps one eye tho for threatening motion.

Anbessa's eyes watch the jar as it soars pretty amusingly off course, earning a little amused chuckle from the human as he looks towards the coyote. While he does keep his knife in hand, he stays otherwise silent now as he hopes Redd gets through to the bunnies... And hopes Fenris doesn't anger the ones inside.

Fenris is greeted by the sight of the building's lobby. Broken up with furniture strewn about and signs of fighting. . .as well as dried up puddles of blood and other unsavory fluids. The only other way is through a hall way on the eastern wall that leads downwards, into the lab proper most likely. There obviously used to be a checkpoint there but that is no longer the case here, and a more pressing issue for Fenris would be the three bunny morphs coming through the hall way and charging at him, each armed with a club.

Outside, Redd's attempt seems to be working as the bunnies slow down for a bit as they listen, but the female quickly frowns again and continues her charge, making the male follow her too.

Fenris grins and spins his spear. "Hello, friends!" the tanuki says cheerily, "I don't suppose you are here to show me where the labs are? I'm here for some seeds, I think." The big guy keeps his content little smile in place, waiting for the bunnies to act.

"Guess they do mind." The coyote pulls the revolver from its holster, firing two shots at each from the hip, one aimed at each bunny's hip/upper leg. "Probably should have loaded something other than wadcutters, but oh well."

Arris walks forward again, approaching the bunnies with hir Rapier, ready to strike when given an oppertunity

Willyswift sees the charge still coming and sighs before sliding ahead of the group to intercept drawing and prepping his can.

Anbessa lets out a light sigh as the bunnies continue their charge, glancing towards the others before he repockets his knife. "Screw it then. We'll just show em' why NOT to fuck with us, yeah?" Anbessa asks out loud as he lets his rifle hang from the strap at his side. Raising his fists, he takes a steady breath... Then, he grins as he slams them both together with a satisfying THWACK! Wait, when did he take that many steps forward to Redd's side? And why is one of his fists now aimed towards the bunny boy?

Edel takes a deep breath when the bunnies seem to be continuing their rush, drawing her sword and turning the blade to face the oncoming attack, point turned skyward. She was going to remain grounded, and let them expend the energy to come to her.

Fenris's jolly behavior seems to stop the three bunnies rushing at him, instead making them stop in front of the hallway, training this gaze on him while scowling, "Go away! Home, us." the burliest bunny morphs growls.

Outside, Redd aim strikes true as he hits the female bunny in her leg, making her squeal as he falls over, holding her leg in pain, but unfortunately he misses the male bunny, and luckily misses Willy too. Anbessa manages to strike the bunny, the male lapine not even having time to register what happened before he was on the ground, nothing but a meatbag filled covered with bruises and filled with broken bones. Looks like the opposition outside has been cleared, the bunny girl is whimpering and holding her leg while the bunny boy seems to be unconsciousness

"Sure! Sure!" Fenris says happily, "I'm happy to go! I just wanted to trade something good for some stuff you don't need!" He fishes in his pockets and produces a packet of sandwich cookies! Stowing his spear on a holster on his back, he advances slowly. "Cookies?" he offers, "I'm looking for some old writing and some boxes from a lab. Then I will go away and leave you be."

Ejecting the empty casings, Redd reloads the two two empty chambers before reholstering the weapon. "Somebody got some bandages and a scalpel? I might as well get the bullet out while I'm out here. So they know it's nothing personal." He crouches over the female rabbit, examining the bullet's wound channel.

Edel tilts her head to the side and slides her sword back into its scabbard. She didn't even after to do anything! The best kind of scuffle. She turns and wanders off towards the building after Fenris, intent on giving him backup, if needed.

Arris walks into the building, after Edel. "Hey. You think we might have to do some actual fighting? I'm getting a little antsy thinking about it."

Willyswift sighs as he realizes his bandages don't work. I have some calming med if you think she's gonna need them."

Anbessa cannot help but feel a momentary fit of delight from what he had done, his fists clenching again... Before those with sensitive ears hear a faint squeek come from Anbessa as he grasps his right hand, waving it as if he burned his hand. "Guh... I gotta use a weapon next time..." Anbessa grumbles, walking up next to Redd as he nods. "I got pliers. If we are not on site, it should work... We just need something to dull the pain." Anbessa reaches into is pocket momentarily to hand Redd a pair of pliers, and also a flask, which he takes a moment to sip out of before handing it over. "Give both of them a sip of that, and it should help a little bit... Just... Uh, make sure I get that flask back please? She would kill me if I lost it..." Anbessa insists, patting the female bunny's head before he follows after the others, rubbing his sore hands.

The bunnies looking at Fenris seem to ease up a bit as he starts getting out food from his bag. One of them turning around and running back into the hallway again while the other two remain to guard the tanuki. . .and the three other strangers, Edel, Arris, and Willy, who just appeared, "You! Stay!" One of the guards yells with a growl.

Redd on the other hand is successful in in his first aid attempt, the alcohol in the flash ensuring that she remained mostly silent during the during the operation. The male bunny remains as he is on the ground without any movement while the female simply stay seated in her place, a hand on her wound.

Fenris waves happily at the others as they arrive. "Hey all!" he says, producing another pack of cookies and kneeling on the floor, " These nice folks offered to help us out!" he smiles, passing the cookies to the lead bunny with both hands and a bow.

Willyswift stuffs puts his stuff away for now. "too bad ons started off badly." he

"Alright, now hold still, gonna wrap that wound with some cloth. I'm gonna have to cut up this loincloth to do that though." Redd uses a claw to slice several strips off the loincloth from the female, tying them around her thigh to reduce bleeding, before he moves to examine the male rabbt. "Just looks like a concussion and a few broken ribs. Not much I can do there." He stands and moves inside, slightly bloodied from pulling the bullet out. "Here's your flask and pliers back." is all the coyote says, handing the items back to Anbessa.

"Stay? Sounds fine to me," Edel says as she falls into step next to Fenris. "Good job working on the negotiations, Fenris. You do Tanuki proud!"

Arris raises hir hands in a non-threatening way and leans to Edel a little bit. "Hey, you think these guys like sex?" Arris' sounds like sie is whispering, but it ended up being completely audible.

Anbessa glances towards Redd as they approach the front door that the others already went through, smiling as he pockets the flask. He slows down momentarily to wipe the bloody pliers against the side of his pants leg before he pockets that as well. Waste not want not. Looking back to Redd, he shrugs and smiles. "They'll be fine probably... Did I overdo it with the punching?" He asks the 'yote curiously before he peeks into the building as well. Though amusingly enough, the only thing he hears is Arris' little aside towards Edel, earning a chuckle from the human. "They are rabbits." Is all he says on the matter.

Willyswift looks to Redd and the others making a face at Arris' comment for a moment before getting regathered. "hopefully those inside are as willing to work with us."

After a number of minutes the third bunny comes back with three other bunny morphs just as Redd and Anbessa stand near the group. A female bunny, clad in a more covering tattered labcoat stands in front of the group flanked by two larger male bunnies each holding a crude spear. "You make trade?" the slightly more eloquent leader says to the group as one of the guards gives her the cookies Fenris handed them, "You want what for trade?" she adds as she eyes Redd and scowls, pointing outwards causing two of the bunny guards to rush outside to help their down tribesfolk.

Fenris preens under Edel's compliment and he smiles at the bunny in the lab coat. "We are looking for the seed samples kept here," he says, "Still sealed if you have them. And the notes from the lab." He looks to Edel for confirmation. "If that is not enough," he says, "I am willing to toss in my spear as well."

The coyote follows the two guards outside, even offering to help to carry one of the downed rabbits back in... If they'd let him anywhere near her, that is.

Edel peers at Fenris, hoping that they'd realize what 'seed samples' even meant. "Yeah. We need those," she says with a nod, setting her hands on her hips. "And are you sure, Fenris? Don't over-offer."

Arris slowly approaches the bunnies. "Hey. Do you want to mate?" The gator seems ready to toss away hir clothes and get down with it.

Willyswift grimaces as Arris throws that question and grimaces his mind messing with him agian. Shaking his head he says with a quick cough. "uuuhhh....being they live in a bubble I'd be willing to give them my bandage maker...the skunk girls would like me doing it anyway."

Anbessa moves out of the way as two bunnies move past him, glancing back towards Redd before he peeks over towards the leader bunny. "Yeah, the seeds are inside of glass carriers, just to say. Ones not inside of them are no good." Anbessa notes out loud towards the bunnies to make sure they don't grab others... Though he raises an eyebrow towards Arris as the gator steps towards the bunnies... The facepalm is audible, and painful sounding.

The leader of the bunnies tilts her head as the group talks before she shrugs and points inside, "We have closed room, no bunny in. You can take what inside?" she says before wincing at the word notes, "Many paper on ground, you take that?" she added before tapping her chin, "You not give enough. What more than food?" she asks. Redd's help is not rebuffed when it comes to aiding with the male bunny, the two guards with Redd quickly transporting guards inside. Arris's attempt at seduction falls flat on its face, the bunny guards scowling at her before focusing more on their duty.

Fenris nods happily. "Yes! That is precisely what we are looking for!" he says, and unhooks his beautiful leaf head spear from his back, laying it on the floor, "I will also offer you my spear. It is very beautiful and very strong. Certainly better than any of the spears you have made yourselves. I will miss it, but I am willing to trade it with you." The big tanuki waves off Edel's concern. He had been planning to make a new one anyway, maybe get Lord Tanuki's blessing on it.

Edel snorts at Arris' attempt to woo the bunnies, giving a shake of her head. "Well... I'm afraid I've got nothing to offer! But I'm sure you'll come up with something," she says, glancing amongst the others. "Well, unless I have to offer something. Then... Hmm..." Maybe leaves.

Arris rolls hir eyes and starts looking through hir pockets and backpack. "Let's see... I got a fishing rod, some armor, craft modifier scematics, carrots..." Arris closes hir backpack and gets up. "...aaaand someone you can get in bed with, but you obviously don't want that last one." Sie rolls hir eyes again.

Willyswift takes out his liquid bandage maker and looking at the lead says "trade?"

Anbessa shrugs his shoulders as he looks towards the leader as well. "I don't have much to offer either, sorry..." Glancing towards Arris, he lets out a little chuckle as his hands rest at his sides. "Maybe they would prefer me, huh?" He asks, puffing out his chest a bit in a playful, joking manner as he winks towards the bunnies. His tone hints that he isn't trying to be mean, though it did come off as a bit prideful. After that, he lets out another chuckle as he rests back against a wall. Looking towards Fenris, he seems a bit surprised of the tanuki's offer. That is a good weapon he is giving! Watching the others, he glances back towards the leader. "Anything else you have in mind that you would like?" He asks curiously, seeing if the bunny was satisfied with the offerings at the moment or not.

The bunny leaders shakes her head, looks like she won't be getting anything of real use for her, "I take spear." She says, "You follow." She adds as she enters through the corridor, taking a left turn and walking across another corridor, greeting the groups to the sight of more bunnies who made this place their home, before stopping in front of a door and taking out an ID card from her clothes, "You give me offerings, I give key." The lapine says. The door seems to be indeed locked by an electronic lock that seems to be opened by said ID card. Another thing of notice to the group would be a strange sensation, a familiar one that indicates that they are inside a bubble field again.

Fenris nods and rises from his kneeling position, following happily after the bunny. "I am sorry I don't have anything you like," he says, with genuine concern, passing the spear over to the bunny, "Is there anything you want? I would be happy to find something for you!" The amiable tanuki holds out his hand for the key card.

Once the injured rabbits are inside, the coyote follows the rabbits back to the main group, holding his revolver out to the rabbit leader. "Would this be a good offering? I can make another one back in town."

Edel raises her brow as everyone just hands over their weapons in trade so willingly. A slow shake of her head is given in an obvious gesture of disapproval before tucking her hands into her sleeves. "Can't believe you're just giving up good weapons like that. Tsk."
