T'was a damp and rainy day at the edge of the bubble, where one fennec was situated just at the edge of the bubble, seated in the front seat of a familiar jeep. The old girl looks like she'd seen better days, or rather the front bumper looks as though it'd taken a few too many bumps, though given the age and state of things, was it really surprising. Still a closer inspection would reveal some bumper work having been done, the vehicle overall in decent condition save for the overall aesthetic of it.
As for Otto himself, the fennec looked rather tired with those bags under his eyes and his vacant expression. He stares blankly out the window and into the vast expanse beyond, seemingly lost in thought, distracted by gods knew what. The doors to the vehicle remained closed, windows rolled up tight to keep the cascade of water out, but alas... no heating. Seems the AC unit was on the fritz.
Meenah was running along the beaten path that lead to the edge of the bubble, she'd heard rumors it wasn't very safe out here. Most recently though word had been groups of scavengers were going out to salvage and to be honest she wouldn't ming have a part of it herself. There was plenty to be said for other things she could be doing though, like sitting back at her apartment resting from a hard weeks work. Although the mousette seemed much more inclined to take as little rest as she could get and instead take this time to assist whomever she may meet out here. Who knows she might even find something useful right?
These were the kind of thoughts occupying the mousettes mind as she approached the jeep, was this their ride? Was she REALLY the first one here? The mousette astonished, could not help but survey her surroundings as the rain pittered and pattered around the surrounding area.. It was only after a half-haphzard look around that she shuffled to the front of the jeep with all her equipment and dropped a single dufflebag to tap on the window. She had a feeling of eery familiarity from the fennec inside, but not...it couldn't be... "Hello?" She gently questioned before motioning for the patron of the vehicle to roll down the window, as she had MANY questions.
Ebreus was hardly bothered by the damp rainy-ness of the day as he brought along his powered hazmat suit... what RSX marketed as 'Power Armor' and might well some day actually become power armor. He strides up to the familiar jeep and fennec, and the unfamilair mouse. "Hello." he says to the mouse girl as he makes his way up to the jeep, then, "Hey Otto." as he reaches the jeep.
Ciana slowly flew from the distance into view of the people nearby the jeep, giving light waves to Ebreus and Meenah and landing next to Otto as she hugged her master. "Ottie! It's been forever, how have you been?" A purple drone followed her, giving a few beeps of greeting as the fox landed.
Lizzie was only somewhat familiar with the particular job, more heading out by the request of Otto and her own desire to get a bit of fun scaving and doing whatever done. Nothing like helping out a friend after all. As she approached the area she just started to shake her head with a slight sigh. "Goddamn it. Pick a fuckin' body or some shit so I can recognize ya easy you fuckin' asshole." She grumbled albiet goodnaturedly.
Adjusting the pack on her back she eyed the other folks who had arrived and continued to ignore the rain. "This everyone goin' on the fuckin' job? The name's Lizzie for those of ya who might not fuckin' know it. I think I recognize at least a couple of ya but uh, fuck if I don't remember everyone."
The fox looks rather spaced out for a few moments more, before the familiar tone of one... two... three, nay... four familiar voices! His eyes adjust just in time for him to catch Ciana's glomp-tackle, a giddy giggle passing him once he squeezes the other fennec and gives her a peck on the cheek, "Hiya sweetie." Otto greets with a wide smile, before releasing her. "What are you doing here? I had no idea you were interested in these sorts of things!" he notes, before casting a nod and a wave to his more hellhoundish friend, "Yo Eb. I had a feeling you'd not want to miss this."
Hopping out of the jeep, he stretches out and shakes his muzzle, letting the rain wash away some of the drowsiness as he peers at Meenah and tilts his head a little. "Oh, maybe this will remind you." Otto notes and winks at her, a tug to her tail and a peck to her lips given, leading into a swift squeeze and a subtle cup of the rear, before Otto parts from her with a soft giggle, only to come face-to-face with Lizzie. "There you are!" he yips excitedly. "God fucking damn it, Liz. About time I saw you on one of these! Anyway!" he clasps his hands and scurries to climb onto the jeep's bonnet.
"Everyone get inside, we're gonna be heading off to check out a ruined fabrication facility of sorts. Scouting reports indicate it should be a smooth, safe ride all the way there, though what we find once in the damn place is... well, a mystery. I hope you folks know your machines, cause I'm not gonna be joining you." the fennec announces, before swinging over the edge of the driver's seat window and into his seat. He sounds the horn and yells out. "Well, come on then! Get in before you get soaked! We have a job to do!"Meenah was helpless to the gropey fennec who took a liberty by tugging her tail, eliciting a muffled response from the mousette into the quick peck on the lips delivered by him as well... She huffpuffs as he takes subtle pawful of her butt before strolling off with confidence to the next patron...Normally she'd be drowning him in questions but this all seemed like a lot so she'd figured he'd explain on the way or something.
All outside thoughts of hers dropped as she picked up a few key words 'Everyone get inside', it wasn't long before she was sliding into the passenger seat and positioning the two bags she'd brought with her, at her feet. The mousette barely waiting for Otto to finish speaking before she rolled down the passenger window to shout softly at him as he came close to finish. "It better be safe!! If we hit a land-mine you're gonna owe me a lot more than dinner Otto!!" Obviously the mause was doing her best to sound serious although it was hard to tell with how widely she was grinning. Seconds later she was ducking her head back into the jeep and rolling up her window, not long after she took to sorting her equipment some and drying off her flamethrowing with a soft rag she kept in the pocket of her uniform.
