Out in the 'wastes' of what used to be Cali, a small community was built in the middle of a mountainous forest. After a great deal of time, this community was discovered by those who maintain their own interests in Fairhaven and Woodfield respectively. The first attempts by Zypher staved off, they come back again to try once more to take what they desire. Quite a few of their agents using binoculars to take a look over the situation. A few cabins in the woods, some farmland all about, a thriving community, but they had something they desprately wanted.
At the same time, RSX was working with community leaders, a Fox Girl and a Herm Collie, about what was happening and how to best go about keeping their community active and alive. RSX officials weren't too keen on losing a stable area because Zypher wanted thier shiny things.
In the woods themselves, a small group of Promethians keep and eye, wondering exactly what is going on, but not willing to let themselves be seen just yet. Jumping into a small war between Zypher and RSX would not be wise.
Miranai herself stands with the Prommies, though quite a distance away. Her colors, glowing, and size would be a dead give away to their location, and she didn't want that.
Syn was standing about with the Zephyr agents, her hands gently holding onto the binoculars that had been offered too her, her claws being surprisingly gentle as she looked out over the village. The bat-girl wasn't one hundred percent sure what they were really after out here, but she did know that whatever it was the company had wanted, the group wanted it badly. So Syn, thinking very little as she usually did, awaited to see the events before her roll out and hopefully prepared for whatever may come.
Siyu tries to work a knot out from his shoulder, a cape of forest camo, more appropriate in color and thermal tempreture of the forested area then his normal desert camo. The short, 3 foot 10 kangaroo rat keeps the hood up, and just watches. Used to sitting for long periods of time and waiting, he's not bored, just trying to keep all of his lithe body limber for when he has to run. Expecting to have to break into a sprint at a moments notice. Occasionally digging out a monocular, checking the suns posistion so that he doesn't flash a glare, spotting around the cabins, giving a look and then putting it away again.
Standing over by the Prommies is of course Angus, but he's never really seen eye to eye with his comrads there. He was tapping his foot impatiently, wondering what Zephyr and RSX were up to this time. "So Mira...think they will be foolish enough to attack?" He asks, taking a step away from the other prommies as he checks his equipment.
Miora stood next to Mira, although she was smaller she didn't want to be a giveaway, wearing her usual glasses, satchel and scarf along with a simply shirt and knee length skirt. Her paws clenching to the handle of her first aid kit, glancing to Mira every now and again. Although at Angus's voice she glances back. her tail giving a little wag at another familiar face. Quickly looking to Mira in wait. Hoping she wasn't going to get in the way.
Dio had heard a few rumors about the previous expedition over at the village, but not the full report. The full word wasn't available to him, but what he heard certainly wasn't good, especially for PR. Taking a pair of binoculars for himself, he peers into the village and soon tosses it upon the floor with a small crash. "I refuse to let this situation dissolve into barbaric shooting," the semi-formal wearing feline declares. Picking his shotgun off the floor, he straps it to his back and gives his suit a good tuck. "Even if we don't manage to get what's in there, I shall partake in a more diplomatic solution."
Dio is given an interesting look from the senior Z Agent, "Look, our bosses say they want what they have, and if we have to shoot up a few mutants to get it, so what? Maybe get some interesting times with them too." A few of the others rub their hands together, a few others their cocks. "Keep your 'morals' to yourself Agent, and we can all come back with quite the profit." Says the Mama Borno. "Now, here is the plan, we will sweep in, try to offer then some more crap for their server. Hopefully the RSXers haven't put in their heads just how valuable and useful it is."
Meanwhile, the RSX agents continue to work inside the small almost village, pointing to verious things and locations. Seems they are busy trying to think up a plan.
Chance, the lead for the Prommies looks over to Miora, Angus, and Mira, "Lets just stay low for now, we should be ready to help our brothers and sisters, I doubt either Z or RSX has their best interests in mind, but, you never know. Be ready to spread the word, and if it comes to fighting, ready to fight." Says the Herm Latex Fox.
Siyu lifts up the monacular again, "Movment from the Zephy...it appears as if they're going to head in soon..." he reports. "For now it looks like RSX is building up a response. Depending on what RSX wnats to do, Zephy will be exposed on the way up to the village." he offers a brief summation, lowering the monocular again. His ears give a little flat as he pulls the hood back up.
Angus perks up his ears as he turns to the Fox. "It's Zeyphr and RSX going at it again, of course they are going to fight." He mutters, then he catches Siyu's warning and he draws his revolver. "Well, looks like its show time." Smiling he gives Miora a wave, before he steps forward a little and finishes preparing.
"Morals?" A low growl begins to bellow within the lion's large chest as a hand reaches back to once more unstrap the shotgun on his back. The grip upon its handle grew in intensity with a power that could nearly turn coal into pure diamond. "Because shooting up the place worked so well last time, did it? Perhaps the rank of senior agent means senior in the mind," he growls, voice becoming more intimidating as he approaches the agent. "Bloodthirsty isn't how Zephyr should be running things. Profit, sure. Greed, sure. But at the expense of an innocent village? You're not fit for your position or business. A TRUE businessman would see the value of PR and happy customers."
After a deep breath, the lion takes a short moment to cool down and lowers the grip on his shotgun. "Trading is fine as well, but forcing it is not. If trading fails, we should instead opt for researching what's within together for the benefit of out society."
Syn was still scanning over the village when she heard the small arguement going on behind her. The bat seemed to be...a touch displeased with the actions going on as her steps made it very clear. her claws rasped over the ground for but a few moments until her free hand moved to gently grasp the lion by his shoulder, moving to turn him around towards her as she simply spoke," Vell vhen you ladies are done vighting, vere is an entire village to deal vith. Now come on, ve vill try to be peacevul vor as long ve are able. There ist no zense in useful vighting." the bat rasped on, her sceptre still on her back as she turned towards the village, actually daring to be the first one of the group to take a step forward.
Miranai looks to Siyu, then to Chace, "If.. if there is fighting I'll be ready." she says squarming slightly from her heat and rut, but has herself under control. Chace looks to Angus and over to Siyu next, "Just keep observing for now.. and.. wait, what is happening now, Siyu, keep eyes on them, and do we have anyone or anything able to listen?" Shi asks.
With a plan in mind some of the Zypher agents move in, a few stopping at Dio, "The bosses say take it, by any means needed, and these aren't exactly our 'customers'. If we can work out something that is in our advantage, we might take them for all they have, but for now, they have only one thing we want, and we are going to take it." Says the Momma Bronto, before heading down.
The RSX personal watch as Z's walk up toward them, "Hello there, partners, just trying to work out some ideas with our friends here. Seems they have told you a few times they aren't interested in trading with your for their server, so why are you back?" they ask.
Siyu is new here in the Prom camp so he won't make any sort of first move, he'll just report what he sees, "They look like they're all armed, we were supposed to try and offer a solution, but I don't think there's any sort of solution to be had when everyone is packed with firepower." he turns back, "Should we wait and just prepare a report of what happened?" He takes a breath and shakes his head, "My ears are good but not that good..." he'll take out a stilt tripod and set up the monocular, setting it so that it's pointed towards the meeting of RSX and Zeph. Getting ready to try and watch, "If anyone can lip read, you can use my scope, but otherwise I don't have a clue"
Miora watches allt he action going on, feeling her form shiver a bit in nervousness but stading firm next to Mira, looking up to her and nodding as she was ready too. The medic husky not one for actual fighting, but having quite a few ways to heal and support her allies that were there. She wasn't very good at lip reading, but if no one else could she could give it a shot, she was usually a decently good study. Her ears pinning back a bit worriedly as she waited for anyone else to step up for the task first.
Regretfully, Dio lets out a heavy sigh and puts the shotgun upon his back again. There was no use in in-fighting, and perhaps a trade or deal could be struck. "Very well," he replies with a sarcastic tone. "We'll see."
The lion strolls up towards the village with the others, waving at the RSX members and dipping into a short bow. "Good day," he says as he rises. "Are you sure they don't want anything for it? Anything at all?" The lion rubs his chin and thinks for a moment. "Would you perhaps allow one or two of us to inspect this server? It could even be under gun point if you desire to make things safe."
Syn found herself coming to merely stand within a small bunch of Zephyr agents, her hands crossing beneath her chest as she allowed herself to just slip in with the others. When Dio decided to be a nar-do-weller and try to strike a bargain with the people, the Zephyr bat moved to approach them, her eyes sweeping about the RSX employees that had been gathering before them," Und ve could even offer you each a blow avterwards." she mocked, her eyes cutting over to Dio as she nearly glared at the man, her gaze almost able to burn a hole straight through him.
Siyu begins to muse a little bit, "So...this village has a data server...they're under the protection of RSX...." he'll think aloud, "Zephyer wants it cause of the tech involved, they tried to strongarm the village, cause it's what they do. RSX doesn't want Zephyr to destablize...does the village want to actually keep the technology? It seems as if it's like RSX and Zephyr don't want to lose face in this..." he keeps thinking. "If the village is willing to trade the server...maybe the solution is a neutral 3rd party. If the village trades the server to someone else. RSX can say they defended Zephyr off their turf. If we promise to trade the server to Zephry, they get what they want, and they'll just leave. So maybe. Everyone gets what they want, and goes home..." he realizes he spoke the whole plan outloud, and blushes a bit, turnining back to the others, "Is that right?"
Angus frowns, but holsters his revolver. "We will play it your way for now, but as soon as I see someone starting to wave a gun around I'm intervening." He gives the Fox a glare, before he walks up to the monocle and takes a look. He couldn't really read lips, he just wanted to see!
The lead Z agent watches as Dio and Syn try to open negotionations, but the 'mayor' of the place, the herm collie, steps forward. "RSX has confirmed what we thought all along, that without our server, we'd be just as our scouts who leave the protection of the outermost layer of the 'bubble' are. Weakened, hungry, and with out the needed resource this... Mako you call it, to keep our other machines running. For the good of our community, the computer is not for trade." The RSXers nod along with hir but the lead Z agent looks less then happy, "Look, we can trade you other machines, maybe even move you into the city with us. Have you thought of joining our company?" The RSX agents look again to the mayor and hir aid.
Meanwhile in the prommy camp, Chace watches with the monocular stand, "Miora, you are a Z agent, what do you know about their tactics? And Brother Angus, you spend a lot of time with Z in their tower, what do you know?" shi asks. Mira ponders for a bit, "Maybe we should go talk, and see what we can do or offer?" She nuzzles into Miora tightly, "What do you think Siyu, Angus?"
Miora shakes her head. "I will admit I heal some of their troops and play medic from time to time. But I have never really done any missions for them outside healing some troops at their base. I know nothing of their tactics. I am more a nuetral party." she states calmly. A bit worried at what may happen here. her tail tucking at being useless for the moment. "Sorry, but as far as tactics and how they operate in a fight I know nothing.
Siyu earflats, "I really don't want to go down there. It's not our fight, I don't know if we can do anything to help, don't even know if they want to give it up. Frankly I don't think they'll care about shooting outsiders if they're shooting each other..." he looks back at the Fox in charge, "Do you know anything about their server? Is it just somthing they keep or is it important to them?"
Dio looked down at Syn with a curious expression, eyebrow rising in a clear sign of his confusion. "I'm curious about your motivations, ma'am," he says, letting out a small cough to clear his throat. "Personally, I'd rather have a good relationship with the village and allow them to keep the server while we get some researchers to look over it. If you don't agree, then perhaps we should discuss the issue now before it's too late."
Listening to the village leader speak, the lion seems quite surprised at just how dependent they are on the server. There's no way they could take it now, at least from a moral standpoint. "I see. I thought the bubble here was simply a lucky find. We shouldn't move it. So how about this!" The lion claps his hands together once and puts on a smile before negotiating. "Your village seems quite happy here and I doubt you'd like to move into the city. Instead, perhaps you could give us rights to look over the server and derive research from it while under observation? I think this is quite fair."
Angus smirks. "They are pushy, and they don't enough a Prommie blowing up their stuff. I only trust a few Z agents, and there is a reason for it....But then again, RSX don't really like me either...for reasons." Crossing his arms he eyes both parties, tapping his foot upon the ground impatiently as he waits to see what happens.
