With the US HARD CORPS. having a forward operating base in the area running at lest a skeleton crew at all times, it didn't take long for the local Commander to send word back that he'd noticed two things: One a place that needed attention that was inline with the think tank activity of recent fame and some people poking around the building.
Though not present himself, Colonel Voss sent out messages and requests that civic minded people join up with some of his crew to investigate and possibly salvage what may from the building as Eureka will benefit in the long run from renewed power.
Edel didn't need much convincing to join in on a salvaging mission. She practically lived for that kind of work! As she shuffled around the plant, though, a frown formed on her face. "This place isn't in the best of shape... Though I suppose that's to be expected," she muses to herself.
Knowing full well what the group was looking for, and having spent many hours in this building and the one next door, Savi was eager to begin the shakedown of the building. "It's old." Savi says in agreement with the other soldier. "But all we need is the design. Any scrap of paper, any working machine. If we cant get all the parts we can figure out ways to make more." 'kicking over a small piece of debris with a tendril the plant covers her face completely in her Shemagh. "I'm just worried what might be living in here."
Twitch adjusts her hold on the high powered rifle that was usually slung over her back, her eyes darting around and nose wiggling as she keeps an open eye for any scrap... After all, scrapping was what keeps her alive these days, and it is a rare treat to get authorized to scrap a power plant! "Is not bad. More damaged place is, easier is to get scrap and parts." She smirks somewhat as she sends the bolt of her rifle foward with a sharp clack. "Not like we walk into hell."
Tama. opting to fly instead of walk this time, arrives much quicker than before, offering a wave and announcing. "Tama, Night Daggers, it appears I've been autorized to keep working on this mission."
Lotus arrives on the scene with her usual smiling face and a slight swing in her step.
Katalynia arrives to the power plant. Shi smile genially at Sav and Tama as shi made hir way towards Lotus. Shi cuddles up against Lotus keeping hir wings carefully folded to avoided taking up more space than necessary. "Mmm...hey, Save, Tama, the rest of ya'll. Hello, Miss Lotus, its nice to see You here!"
Cookies arrives in her bizarre little techsuit, mocha kitty concealed within. Packed to the brim with prior experience and appropriate nanomagics, not to mention wearing her RSX op badge right on the front of her suit, she's eager to assist with the job, though as it stands she's wordless as she enters the area. That Voss guy sure /seemed/ legit. Still, she nods to Savi, recognizing her almost immediately. Hard to miss the ferocious plant, after all, even when she's being tiny.
With no one on scene to supervise, the group is left to themselves to figure out how to procede. The place had a certain smell to iy...something akin rotting cabbage, but who knows what was causing that. Stale urine and musk here and there...but no signs of feral activity in the open.
But what first?
With hugs and greetings all around, and a brief thought o how not so long ago all these friendly faces seemed strange and unknown, Savi turns her attention to the room. "An office, a storage room. Any kind of record keeping." gesturing to the junk all around the plant continues. "We should see if what we are looking for is already written down, before we decide if we need to start pulling things apart." With a broad sniff at the room she goes on. "Savi also suggests we all stay togethner and mark any important looking machines as we may pass them."
Edel sniffs at the air and shrugs. "Hopefully we won't have any troubles with violent parties." As others begin to show up, she glances over them and gives a little wave. "Ah, I don't think I know... Most of you. Might as well introduce myself! I am Edel." She dips into a little bow before turning her attention back to the room in general. "Schematics would be superb!"
Lotus takes a hold of Katalynia's hand and surveys the group, looking over the familiar forms and lingering a little longer on the unfamiliar forms. She happily hugs Saviante and waves to Cookies with her free hand. "How do you suggest mark them?"
Twitch nods to Savi, looking around the area as she tries to take note of any specific doors that may lead to small rooms or offices. "Am Twitch." Her grip on her rifle doesn't lessen, well aware how relaxing too much while scrapping can mean your end. "Could cut symbol into them." She glances to her knives.
Tama looks aroudn warily "We sould get together some solar panels, i have no doubt that theyd have those here. We should keep an eye out for any instruction manuals on power generation as those would have instructions on how to build wind turbines for sure. We should split up into 3 groups of 2 for expediency, less we just end up getting in eachothers ways, also one group has to be of 3"
Katalynia smiles happily. "Hi, Edel, great to meet you! I'm Katalynia." Shi gives a small curtsy. Shi holds onto Miss Lotus' hand. "Shall we travel in a group? We could cover more ground seprately...but if there are hostiles about that could be problematic." Shi nods in agreement with Tama. "If the facility has any, that would be great. Schematics and instructionswould be equally wonderfully if there's any laying about."
Savi looks up at Tama and frowns beneath her mask. In silent answer to how to mark something she reaches over and runs one finger across the wall twice, leaving a bright X in the stains of time. With a pointed looks towards Twitch she moves more to the center of the room. "Savi still thinks we should stay together, at least for a first sweep."
Cookies finally speaks up. "Standard salvage operation or are we actually trying to get anything up and running again for reclamation? Was not made clear. Can do both," she claims, shifting her weight onto one leg and crossing her arms.
Tama realizing the falw in her plan she hastily revises it "On second tought we need someone who can read through all the manuals and such for the turbine schematics, so make that two groups of 3, if nobody has any objections i volunteer to read through all the manuals and such to find wherever the wind turbine schematics are located as they sould be here, it seems fitting since i suggested it. If you are ok with that then savi, cookies, twitch, you seem to each know eachother so you team up as well, another good reason for me to searchs the manuals, anybody who finds anything report back to me with it."
Lotus smiles at Savi and copies her action, dragging a gooey finger near the 'X'. Her smooth skin quickly picking up the dust and grime, leaving a similar 'x' on the wall. She signals Savi with a thumbs up.
Twitch raises an eyebrow at the pointed look but shrugs and takes a few steps forward. "Twitch not able to read. Will make sure give anything Twitch find then." She looks to Savi, the plant woman knew what she was looking for specifically, and Twitch had no issues following her lead.
Savi nods after a few minutes of hesitation and agrees to the split, but still not liking the idea. "There is a generator there... or most of one. Thats our goal if all else fails." Looking up she points with one hand. "Catwalk above, dangerous but likely leads right to an overseers office." With a motion forawd she indicates the deeper parts of the powerplant. "Two teams, two directions. Take your pick."
