Coyote: The Packmind/Interlude
After the adventurers took the bus back to Fairhaven, there was a period of downtime. Some people had to deal with unexpected new genders, species, or entire life forms.
Taggart found himself human again for the first time in ages, needing to use weapons and armor instead of his Wolf Beast fangs and claws.
Apostasy could not shift to any form except female, whatever species she tried to take on. Despite being sent male by Coyote at the end of the rescue.

And lastly, Sparhawk began agitating for a return trip to Oregon. The original reason was given as 'get back the junk I left in the pool'. Over the course of a week the often-gryphon began acting increasingly erratic, sometimes using 'we' instead of 'I', until shi revealed what shi'd taken away at the end of the first trip. When Coyote rescued everyone from the dream inside the wellspring, Sparhawk had entered it after the dreamer awoke. Shi never entered the dream, instead floating among the nanites of the original coyote pack before Coyote added magic. Shi could feel it dying with the heart torn out...and decided to take the pack-mind with hir. That mind had learned to think by watching the dreamer, and now watched Sparhawk from the inside. Sparhawk needed to return in order to understand what shi had done.
