The time machine was scheduled to be tested on my 18th birthday and I was to be sent back to the year 2008. You see most of the recorded history from that time was destroyed for unknown reasons a long time ago. I was being sent there to find out what happened. Between the time I was born and my 18th birthday I was taught about all the remaining history of that time. Apparently something called the Prometheus Virus happened but no one knows what that was. Years of testing had concluded that whatever it was had broken down around the time the great flare hit the planet. Though that's another event we know only little about. The earliest recorded history we know of is the Great Species War between the Predators and the Prey. Don't get confused though as both sides were Omnivores. The terms Predators and Prey were used to separate the larger stronger animal tribes from the smaller weaker animal tribes. The war ended with the Treaty of Unity which stated that every animal tribe would work together to advance the quality of life. You can probably figure out how I ended up in a utopian society now. When I turned 18 my father Mathew Sr told me that I would soon know the answer to every question I would ever have for the rest of my life. But I think he's just going crazy. He once told me he knows what happened in 2008 but couldn't tell anyone until I left. What a weird guy. That day I was briefed on my mission and put into the time machine. |

| + | started without a problem as the time machine completed it's diagnostic checks and the dial started to decrease from the starting year of 10,008. Half way thought the test the core's cooling system shorted out. I was in the middle of repairing it when a power surge caught me by surprise and I smash my head into the core and blacked out. When I woke up the core was leaking and the time machine was laying on the ground. Using the backup power I found out from the navigation system that I was in California in the year 75,936 B.C. I Pushed my wrecked time machine into a nearby cave in the California mountains and built myself a small den in the cave. I later discovered that the radiation from the leaking time machine core had caused me to stop aging. I also found out that I didn't require any food or sleep to function properly. With my time machine wrecked beyond repair blocked the cave entrance and took a long sleep. I took many long sleeps waking up in many different years at which point I started collecting clothing to disguise my less than human appearance. When 2008 finally came around I started standing outside the Zephyr building to watch them make history. Now that the Promethean incident has happened I just try to make the best of the world in it's current state.--> | ||
