Arona says, "So, question about writing. Are lstats still allowed ? And how much can we do with them if they are."

Miorna says, "You can still do Lstats, however, Lstats should be either randomized fun things, or exceptionally simple in how they work. An example of a randomized Lstat would be the Tattoo that the Lizard Girl gives you. An example of an exceptionally simple thing is the fact that Vixen Nurse can take off and respawn hir clothing."

Arona says, "Would the size of antlers for a deer-based form be okay ?"

Lunasta says, "If memory serves me correct, Nuku has a preference for forms to be 'static', hence why there shouldn't be complex lstats."

Miorna says, "Not particularly. They shouldn't be used to change physical aspects of a form, which is where we were running into the most diffaculty."

Neant says, "So, antler size on lstats sounds pretty much okay to me."

Jade says, "I do assume this is true, but do some of the mutant forms choose their sex before engaging the player? Becoming male, female, herm, or neuter?"

Miorna says, "The static nature of randomized aspects is why Nuku is ok with that. Once it is randomized, it is done, and it doesn't change."

Miorna says, "Some of the forms do come in more than just always female, always male etc. This is perfectly alright, but does require more work on our parts."

Jade would NEVER give the staff more work! *halo*

Miorna says, "The base form should be X sexually all the time though."

Treharne says, "(See: the 'list forms' distribution.)"

Miorna says, "Example, I could make Female Husky spawn as male! However the form itself would still have the same sexual characteristics."

Neant says, "In the case of the Nanite Mage and Puddlejumper (Those forms can appear either male and female)."

Neant says, "Puddlejumper being a Neuter in the base form."

Treharne says, "...isn't nanite mage largely just a cloaked figure with few if any distinguishing features?"

Neant says, "Basically, if you want male and female versions to spawn of the same form, we need to create a male and female itteration of the base form."

Arona says, "Is it possible to get your e-mail address changed if your old e-mail service provider closed ?"

Neant says, "Yes, you need to make a +request about that."

Neant says, "I think, if I remember correctly, that it is a Private Form that has that power."

Treharne says, "Seems like a private power to me, yeah."

Lunasta checks.

Arona says, "I think I remember some time ago work being done on replacing the current stat-specific upgrade system with one that would be based on themed upgrades, like giving furry hide a set of upgrades based on sea mammal fur, desert mammal fur, polar mammal fur, etc. What happened to that ?"

Lunasta says, "yes, I see a form. it is private offgrid. Also absolutely ancient."

Miorna says, "That is Aux's project. None of the rest of us have the time table or anything like that."

Dracolon says, "Ah so it falls into the same boat as the Wolger. Thanks for the info!"

Arona says, "Are there private forms that have been abandonned by their creator and made public ?"

Neant says, "We are going through them regularly, and depending on quality and theme, we can release them at times."

Neant says, "Do take note, the owner of those forms have to have been absent for a long time, and some of the older ones aren't quite up to scratch in the quality department, or are of a type that is already in the game in a very similar way."

Dracolon says, "Would it be possible to add an older private power to a new form that had a better place in the current state of the game?"

Neant says, "Well, the point is, if a similar form already exists, that would not be a done thing. Also, it would undermine the uniqueness of the private form."

Neant says, "Which would be troublesome if the owner is still around."

Dracolon says, "I see"

Treharne says, "...having said that, there have been instances of effectively the same power under different names and descriptions."

Otto says, "SO I have a question to axe. Can someone outside the bubble do anything while using their Regulation Nanomagic, other than exist as the carrying vessel for the mini-server?"

Otto says, "Because I get mixed responses. Some folks say "Oh you can use your mutant powers and fight as regular. Others say "You can barely think, thinking about anything but the server being up will lower it." and others are all "No, in fact I'm not sure you can even move.""

Neant says, "The writing bounties page is Song's territory. They are working on quite a few things now, so we'll need to see when they get around the it."

Otto says, "And this one fellow said he uses it all willy nilly and even baps his other nanomagics around freely while maintaining the server WHICH VIOLATES WHAT"S WRITTEN ABOUT IT but even though I corrected him he said a judge told him he can."

Miorna says, "Ok, the power says pretty much how this one works. Or at least tries to."

Miorna says, "The objective here is that anything that would render you incapable of any kind of focus also disables the nanomagic. It also makes it apply as 'in active use' which doesn't allow other nanomagics. So, yes, you can think just fine, use mutant powers, etc. But you could not use other nanomagics, and get knocked out/black out/fall asleep/etc, and it is going to stop working."

Otto says, "Ah so then door number 1."

Treharne says, "So... for anyone who's familiar with Mutants and Masterminds, kind of like Sustained powers?"

Treharne says, "Miorna, are you familiar with M&M and would that be an apt comparison if so? @_@"

Otto says, "So I was in this scene where this *stifles obscene amount of profanity*-wad was linking their mutant powers and insisting they should grant him higher rolls for tasks like picking a lock and lifting heavy things. What's up with that?"

Miorna says, "If a power provides this function, it will be listed in its statuses AND will already do this passively."

Miorna says, "If they can +gear/prove it, then all is well. Unfortunately we don't really have a method of limitation beyond that. For an extended scene, you could ask each player to create an inventory list for you."

Otto says, "I mean I'd look damn silly right now. I carry... let's see...5 different weapons that are moderately large. Armor, A scattershot and a buncha different flasks (considering the amplifier can be flask-sized?)"

Treharne says, "'Looking damn silly' is possible ven within loadout restrictions. XD"

I'd allow it, just fine. People get TF'd mid combat, mid power use, all the time, and it doesn't cause a knock down effect or anything of that nature. Heck Tanuki's get an energy boost for it."

Cura says, "It's more a person to person case. Someone who is used to being in a static form, or is afraid of TF's may find a sudden mid activity change to be VERY distruptive, while someone like a nanite adept may find it at the most a minor inconvinence."

Miorna says, "They wouldn't be comfortable about this. They would want to go back. Even more so if pregnant!!"

Miorna says, "But as for 'can'? Yes, a feral can walk right out of the bubble just fine."

Samhall says, "seems like it'd mean death for ferals, since they're supposed to be starving all the time."

Cura says, "Not all do, those that still have enough survival insticts could survive and perhaps even trive outside of the bubble."

Cura says, "Also there is a sliding scale of feral behavior. You know all of the Mall Rats? Allmost every single one, Rod included are Feral."

Miorna says, "Also, more sane ferals would prioratize food over other things. But, it isn't like a feral can just walk to Walmart, give them some little green pieces of paper, and get a whole, cooked, chicken."

That makes me better than other ANs!'"

Aaron says, "Open-to-public RP events appear to be largely non-existent, apart from things run by...well...me. Do you think the general absence of open-to-public RP events is damaging to new player retention, and if so, what's being done to remedy it?"

Treharne says, "@Aaron: Depends what the player comes here for. Also that's a judge thing, not a staff thing. Anyone can apply to be a judge just by asking; if anything, I'd have to guess that's more just the general tendency among RP groups to have a lot of people who want to play in something and not many who want to run something."

Dio says, "A lot of the older judges are burnt out, don't like the way lore has shifted, hate the playerbase now, or a combination of the others. Newer judges I imagine have a problem with nerves. Can't do much about that."
