<div></div><br> <br>On the edge of Fairhaven a stuffy fellow stood in a suit and dark glasses.  He'd put out a contract for four security personell to escort him on his way out of Fairhaven.  He seemed a little nervous, his big vulpine ears twitching to and fro, his tail nervous.  He was one kind of dark-faced fox or another, with big eyes and a skinny frame.  He was standing opposite his small Jeep Cherokee from the NUTS outpost, legs tense, ready to jump in at any moment.<br> <br>Edel shuffles along the city streets, hood up as she makes her way towards the designated meeting point. When she arrives, she eyes over the jeep, first, before looking to its owner. "This is, uh, the place, right? You're the one that needed the help?"<br> <br>Morten walks along the street, sighing and looking up at the sky, lost in her thoughts, she snaps back to reality as she arrives at the meeting up point, she looks around before seeing the jeep, she makes her way over and smirks at the large vulpine ears of the suited fellow... she wanders close and asks, "Your the one looking for help right?" she asks, smiling as she suddenly notices Edel and offers a wave.<br> <br>Miranai was walking out toward the wastelands to continue scavaging when she noted the the large fox with a jeep. She looks it over a few times and wonders a moment, "Where did.. how.. huh?" she asks and looks over and over again. Eventually though she decides to just ask, "Where did this come from.. umm.. how did you get it working?" she seems more interested in the jeep then anything else, hardly even noticing Edel and Morten. Looking over the taur, she is massive! Likely not to fit anywyay.....<br> <br>Aescher turns a corner and observes the gathering with a little twitch before making his way over, rifle slung over his shoulder and head down. When the golden rat is confident he's close enough to the group the plump rodent offers the gathering a shy wave and starts to quietly kick at the dirt.<br> <br>The fox is jumpy at the first one that comes up to him.  He slicks back the fur atop his head, and brushes imaginary dirt off his suit jacket.  Pinstripes make him seem taller than he is.  He loves over at his ragtag bodyguards and sighs.  "Payment will be rendered once we head far east enough to my dropoff point." he says with all the emotion of a well-trained businessman.  "So...  Are you all here to take up the contract?"  He glances sideways at Miranai, the huge taur, looking -it- over with a little disdain.<br> <br>Edel raises her brow at the foxtaur, before her attention is brought back to the fox in the suit. "I suppose so, yes! I was just looking for something to break up the boredom!" Though she doesn't recognize Morten, she gives a polite nod, regardless.<br> <br>Morten looks over the foxtaur and blinks, "Bloody hell.." she states quietly before shaking her head and looking at the group, she nods to the suited fellow and raises an eyebrow as he seems to almost look at the foxtaur with a bit of hatred.. she shrugs it off and rolls her eyes at Edel, "Edel comon.. i change so often you'd think you would get used to seeing me different.." she states with a smile.<br> <br>Miranai looks over the fox and headtilts, payment, she wasn't here for payment, but the jeep, that held her interest, "Umm... could I.. even fit in there?" She asks. WHile she doesn't look very strong the tech she is carrying looks more then impressive, twin rifles, pulse energy, nanite, solar, and battery powered. She also has a heavy pack full of.. somehting. She looks at everyone looking at ther, "What... did... I do something wrong?" she asks in a very timid voice, and seems to try and make herself shrink away a bit... though that does little to make her seem any less... huge.<br> <br>"This should be interesting." Aescher mutters to himself. The rat nods at Morten as he recognizes her and pads his closer to the talakai, trying to keep his eyes and ears on all the different people around him. Especially the odd, over-sized taur who's so damn curious about the jeep. "So... where are we going exactly?" The rodent asks, voice squeaky and shakey at the same time.<br> <br>The fox doesn't like how the huge taur is eyeing his jeep.  He frowns, leaning closer to it.  "I don't know, but you'll find a way if you want to get paid.  Now, you're all here for the bodyguard job, right?  ...Right?"  He rubs the back of his neck nervously.  "Come on, it's getting late."<br> <br>Edel scratches at one of her ears through the fabric of her hood before moving towards the jeep. "Ah, a lot of people change. Doesn't make it any easier for me to recognize them. My apologies if I do not remember." She shakes her head at Miranai. "I do not believe you've done anything wrong. I'm Edel, by the way. Or Eddie. Unless you're a changed person that's stringing me along, too, I don't believe we've met!"<br> <br>Morten frowns at the suited man and rolls her eyes, "Yes we are... why would be here otherwise?" she asks before turning back to Edel, "Morti hun.. im morti.. comon, where's the love?" she asks with a grin, folding her arms behind her head and looking up at the sky, she lets out a soft sigh as she stare's into the heavens.. <br> <br>Miranai walks around the jeep a few times, and is determined to get a better look at it.. but later. "I.. umm.. I'm Miranai.. Umm..." and she looks far too shy to say or do much. As the Fox talks about the job and the need to move, she gets back to the back of it, "I.. umm.. I'm sorry if I did something wrong.." she says with a slight whimper, evidently her huge size and sizes are mostly for show the person inside them more like a scared puppy. She sighs a moment, "Umm.. someone is going to have to help me move the seats so.. I can umm.. c.. climb in." she says, not only huge but also quite along in a pregnancy.<br> <br>Well since everbody else is sharing names. The rat clears his throat before introducing himself, "Uh, Aescher. My name, that is." All this standing around talking is making the rat all the more tail wringingly anxious and twitchy. He came here to get paid, not be a social butterfly after all. And what is it that appently makes butterflies so social by reputaion anyways? The rat is stuck in that train of thought for a moment before his dishy ears he catch the tail end of Miranai's seat request with a little flick. And so, like a proper gentle-rat, he walks over to the jeep and starts putting the seats down for the taur to fit, since she's so inclined to come along.<br> <br>The fox's demeanor was mirroring the rat's.  The longer they all waited, the closer he was to his demise, as if he could feel Death's yellow eyes on his neck.  He gestures to the doors, frowning.  "Hurry up.  We have to get going now, and if you all don't load up I'm going to leave without you, and none of you will be getting any money.  Into the car, or on top, whatever.  Hurry up."<br> <br>Edel hops into the jeep with a nod, adjusting her equipment so that she may properly seat herself. "Sounds good to me. I came here to do something fun, and standing around isn't doing it. Good to see you again, though, Morten. You're different. In more than just form."<br> <br>Morten blinks and shrugs, "About time, lets get a move on then" she states climbing into the Jeep and moving along as to take as little space as possible, she leans back and looks at Edel, "Good to see you too and im so glad you noticed!.. " she states with a smirk, looking back at the foxtaur and raising an eyebrow, "huh... think the jeep can handle this much weight?" she asks the suited fox.<br> <br>After the seats are lowered, loads in her pack, the... settles into the jeep herself. It is a tight fit to leave the few seats up that are up, but she manged. The whole jeep shifts back as her conceterable bulk is put into it. She lays down, breasts still sticking out passed the first few seats. "I'm... I'm ... ready." she says.<br> <br>Aescher tilts his head as everybody files into the jeep. Where to fit a somewhat plump rat who highly values his personal space? The rat eventually settles on the middle row, right next to Morten and trying to avoid Mira's breasts hanging over the seat. <br> <br>The fox gets in the driver's seat, and turns the key.  The engine sputters to life after a few cranks.  Anyone with vehicular knowledge can tell his starter is going bad, and he needs a tune-up.  But it seems to be  firing fairly evenly.  They begin into motion, and go up onto the highway.

Winding along, they eventually come to the fork in the road.  The fox goes to drive to the southeast, still going.  "Almost there-- Wait."  He stops, and peers.  "What..."

There's the glint of something far off in a tree.  Something...  A glint...

BANG.  The pavement near the front driver's side explodes.  BANG, again, this time to the right.  "SHIT!"  He puts the rustbucket into reverse, and makes the most perfect three-point turn he's ever made in his life.  Of course this'd jostle everyone inside...  BANG.  The shot enters the back window and goes through the side, though too close to the edge to hurt anyone, aside from flying glass.  He speeds, and at the fork, takes the detour.

"Fuck, it's really true, the fuckers really hired someone to kill me!" he snarls as he guns it down the unrepaired road.<br> <br>Edel gives a startled yelp and cradles her rifle, flicking the safety off and reaching up under her hood to pull her goggles down over her eyes. "I didn't expect to be dealing with armed, sane people. This got more interesting, certainly! Who's trying to kill you?"<br> <br>Morten shout out angrily as the jeep shakes and bumps along the road, "Bloody fricking hell.." she states unhappily, lowering her head as bullets fly past, stray shots hitting the car, she looks over to Edel and rolls her eyes, "A strange shifty  man asks you to protect him in his rustbucket of a car and you -didnt- expect to get attacked by someone? really?" she asks with a grin, almost enjoying her own sence of humor before slumping back to avoid anymore stray bullets.<br> <br>Miranai yips loudly, and tries again to make herself smaller, but, that is no good! The round nearly hits her in the ass! All the bouncing around makes her jiggle and jostle a great great deal, yipping like mad as her breasts start to spill and leak their motherly load all over the van! Huge mamories leaking a constant stream of the nutritant rich fluid, Mira cowering slightly, almost in a panic from all that is going on.<br> <br>There's a lot of squeaking coming from Aescher as bullets whiz by and he's bounced around the inside of the jeep. The rat sadly forgot to put on his seatbelt. He's sort of tucked into a ball, head down, and hands being used to cover it. And is that... what in the hell? The smell of breast milk is not an unfamiliar thing to the rat. Who's whining plaintively as it gets onto his fur, clothes, and generally everwhere. Can't things ever go simply? Or well at all?<br> <br>The fox curses loud as he tries to keep the jeep under control on the rapidly degrading road.  "I hope you fuckers are professionals, because this fucker sure is!  God.  God damnit!"  He snarls loud.  "Oh, and, I really resent that remark!" to Morten.

The road goes on, for awhile, until it just stops.  To the left, a trail north into the hills, and to the right, a path down into the woods.  He stops the car.  "Fuck, I don't think we can go on.  Man.  There's an old farm a few miles to the east near the highway, I need to get there in one piece or you won't get paid.  There's someone there that can help me."
 +

As he's talking, though, something beeps...  A phone ringing.  "What's that?  Whose cellphone-  Aw, shit."
 +

 +
Just then, there's an explosion, loud, to the north side of the road where the path is.  The Cherokee is lifted into the air a bit, and tumbles onto its side, all the windows busting from one side to the other.<br> <br>Edel starts to swear and curse with enough colour to make a sailor blush. Some of it doesn't even make sense. The word 'kraken' is thrown around a few times, but it comes to a stop when the bomb goes off. And then starts up again as she pulls herself out of the wreckage, sporting several new holes in her clothes and her body. "They ruined my clothes again! Son of a... I'm going to kill every single one of them!" She scoots to the side of the vehicle, using it for cover as she checks over her sniper.<br> <br>Morten sits back rather calmly in the truck before she hears the phone ring and her eyes widen as she looks as if shes having an aneurysm, one the car is done crashing to its side she climbs out of the wreckage and dusts herself off, cricking her neck before looking at Edel and raising an eyebrow at her as she yells about her clothes "Yeah thats it, shout and let them know we're not dead and they need to try harder.." she states sarcastically.. <br> <br>Miranai yelps out again! As she hears the phone ring though, her left eye starts glowing, trying to track the source as quickly as she can.... that is till the car starts rolling! Milk.. blood, scrapes, bruses.. everywhere.. everywhere! WHen it is finally done she tries to open up the door in the back and get out... wondering if it will open.<br> <br>The rat is... not faring nearly as well as Edel and Morten. Aescher is squeaking and crying loudly as he clutches at his left side. Or rather he's attempting to clutch his left everything. His side, his leg, his arm, his face, his now missing left ear. He manages to gather himself enough to try and crawl out unassisted though, finding a path out of the wrecked jeep and getting up against the side of it. There's bleeding all along his left side, his ears are ringing, and this day is officially terrible.<br> <br>The fox tries to kick the door open but to no avail.  He snarls again, and crawls out the broken windshield.  He looks around, seeing nothing at all, but the small crater where the bomb was.  "Fuck, that made me go back to Baghdad for a minute."  He holds his arm for a minute, before he throws off his suit jacket, revealing the bullet-proof vest he's wearing 'neath it, the same blue as his shirt.  "Well, there we go.  Good thing I held onto this...."  He looks around again.  "We need to get moving.  Anyone who can't follow is getting left."  He moves to the south edge of the road, the edge of the forest.  "We have to move, they're more organized than we thought..."<br> <br>Edel shoots a look at Morten. "Drop the attitude. I'm not in the mood for it." She adjusts her goggles and stands. Her short nature means she's still concealed behind the cover of the jeep. "Lead the way, I guess. Who is it that's after you, and why? No need to stop and talk, you can explain as you go. The more I know about who we're dealing with, the easier it'll be for me to stop them."<br> <br>Morten coughs and wipes the last of the specks of glass from her fur as she looks over the ruins of the jeep, turning to the suited man she shakes her head, "Who's we?.. " she asks, not expecting an answer, she sighs as he makes his way off, edel snapping at her and following on.. "Oh sure, get mad at me not the blokes who just tried to blow us up.." she states before looking back to the jeep and the foxtaur, "Wait shouldnt we.. help?" she asks.<br> <br>Miranai yips out a few times, still very frightened! She uses her laser rifles to blast the door open. Milk, blood, everything that was still inside with her spilling out with her. She shakes herself off, cuts, scrapes, she steps out as carefully as she can. She looks down right terrified! Looking around she decides this is not the best place for her, not her mission, "I.. I.. I'm ..s.. sorry.. I.. I.. can't.." she says and with that, takes off with all the speed the taur can muster back toward 'civilization.'<br> <br>Aescher stumbles to his feet with a pained wince and a series of twitches, leaning heavily on his relatively unhurt right and looking around the area. Watching Miranai run off. Then looking down to his groin and palming there with the hand of his uninjured arm. "I think I've still got my balls." He cough-squeaks out to whoever's listening, almost like he wasn't just caught in an explosion. An attempt at humor under duress it seems. The rat painstakingly moves the gun he has strapped to him over to his right and begins limping after the fox. If only so he's not alone on the dangerous road.<br> <br>The fox sneers at the taur, who speeds off.  He then begins into the forest.  "C'mon, we don't have time!"  He goes at a vigorous pace, his polished paw-shoes surprisingly quiet in the brush...<br> <br>Edel narrows her eyes, glancing around as she follows the fox into the forest. "You do know where we're going, right?" She watches her footing carefully, making sure she doesn't step into any traps or mines. "I don't want to walk right into an ambush or anything."<br> <br>Morten follows along, shaking her head as the foxtaur runs off, "Look on the bright side, maybe the blokes trying to kill you will go after her first." she states with an evil grin, looking up at the tree line, "Oh yay I love the forest, this day is looking up!" she smiles, almost uncaring about the situation.<br> <br>Aescher trips a little and follows at a good distance in Edel's path. If anything she'll be at risk first the rodent reasons, even if he feels a bit guilty to think of it. His 'good' ear is angled to Morten's comments about the forest at the same time. "I don't see the charm." Though that might be because of his bloody left, which is making any sort of trek a nightmare, especially a forest one. People think scars are attractive right?<br> <br>They go through the woods for hours, and the fox seems to pick up speed.  His ears twitch...  He hears something the other's don't.  What to them may be the breeze, he hears something fearsome.  He reaches into his pocket and withdraws a small revolver.  He's muttering to himself the whole time...
 +

 +
They go and go, before there's a loud yip.  To Aescher, it's familiar.  Definitely a coyote.  In fact, that smell...
 +

 +
A feral coyote pops out of the brush, right at the fox.  Fangs bared, it begins a beeline at him.  BANG.  One shot, BANG, two shots, and it stumbles.  BANG.  Three shots out of the small revolver, which is uncharacteristically loud and bright.  A .22 magnum.  The coyote coughs up blood.  No, that's an impossible amount of blood...  Then it seems, almost as if all at once, to melt into blood-like liquid.

"What was that?  Shit..."<br> <br>Edel stops in her tracks, blinking. "Is that... A packmind? Here?" She tilts her head. "I do hope it won't be hostile towards me, if that's the case..." She peers around the area from behind her red lensed goggles. "This situation got a lot more strange."<br> <br>Morten blinks and stares at the puddle, "Oh not this again... " she states, shaking her head and sighing loudly, "This lovely trip in the woods while being hunted by insane hitmen just got ruined!" she grumbles.<br> <br>That yip. That smell. The melting 'yote. Oh... shit. Aescher holds his injured side as a distinct queezy feeling overtakes his senses and he starts backing away from the scene. "Oh..." He curbs the backing away though as he pulls back on his rifle's bolt, ejects a round, and doesn't push it forward. What a day.<br> <br>The fox looks back at his group.  "A what...?  Whatever.  We have to keep going.  Don't you guys turn out to be chickenshit on me now!"  With that he reloads the revolver, and continues into the woods.  The distant coyote yips continue.<br> <br>Edel shakes her head. "I didn't plan on it. What's going on out there? Something is definitely off about this." She scowls and glances around the forest, a free hand reaching up to rub her head. "And what is that smell?"<br> <br>Morten scowls at the fox, "Oy, chickenshit?!.. who uses that work anymore, bloody hell... " she tuts and follows, looking at Edel, "Oh yeah.. how did that whole yote thing turn out?" she asks with a shrug, not really expecting an answer.. her ears twitch as the yotes yip in the distance, "Hmm.. maybe the yotes will eat the hitmen.. or maybe theyre working together.. or maybe this is just a dream and we're all still out cold in the wreckage of the jeep"  she shrugs.<br> <br>Aescher starts to shudder a bit as the obstacle of his wounds becomes even more exagerated in his mind. He continues to follow close to the group, shrugging off the foxes insult and not sliding the bolt on his Enfield forward if anyone notices. The sounds of coyotes in the distance are actually sort of soothing considering the situation.<br> <br>They're going, going again, deeper into the woods.  It's getting dark and the clouds are turning crimson with the sunset over the mountains.  The path is thicker overgrown, but the trees are sparser...  Then a snap of a twig.  The fox spins around but he can only see as a Coyote rushes Edel!  Despite whatever attempts, she feels this thing IS a packmind, but, it's not a Coyote packmind, not at all, nothing like the one from Oregon she's part of...<br> <br>When the coyote makes a go at her, Edel reflexively raises her arm to block, and is rewarded with jaws clamping down on her arm. "Dammit!" While it's latched onto her arm she brings the rifle around and presses the end of the barrel to the coyote's underside and pulls the trigger.<br> <br>Morten thinks to herself as the group moves deeper and deeper into the woods, hearing the snap of a twig, she turns to see a coyote rush edel, she steps back as the coyote pounces edel, biting into her arm causing morten to tilt her head and watch, looking like she wants to do something but quickly finding it a bit too late to bother.<br> <br>The blonde rat is backed up and watching what's happening with ever extremity peaked, fumbling to get his gun ready to help Edel. Though it's too late by the time he does with Edel already firing into it. He shudders a bit, just wanting to go home and curl up in his nest.<br> <br>The coyote jumps back off Edel, red goop flowing from its mouth and the gaping wound it its body, dissolving from the inside out before it fades away.  The bite bleeds but does little else.  No changes at all.

The fox in the suit and bullet proof vest frowns, his pistol ready in his paws as he looks around, ears perk and alert, muscles tense.  "Damnit.  Hurry up, follow me, we need to get to that barn!  We should be almost there."<br> <br>Edel snarls and holds her arm close, grinding her teeth. "Let us be done with it, then. The sooner we're out of the forest the better." She glances back towards the rat. "How are you holding up?"<br> <br>Morten groans and looks around, "Yeah lets get a move on before more turn up and-...wait what barn? how the heck will a barn protect us?" she asks, scowling as the suited fox barks out orders, she turns to Edel "You alright?.. " she asks before frowning weakly at the rat.. not really able to offer any words she sighs and just goes to move along with the suited fox.<br> <br>Aescher<br> <br>"Fine... not really." Aescher gives a frail buck-tooth smile at Edel and starts following weakly after Morten and the fox. "Thanks for asking though." The rat coughs as if clearing his throat. "Half a league, half a league, Half a league onward, All in the valley of Death. Rode the six hundred..." There's a wry look on the rodent's face as he recites the poem he recently read in a book.<br> <br>The path goes on as the fox is at a jog, panting.  The trees thin, the yapping grows louder, until they come to a clearing, and a fence.  Further on, a hundred yards, there's an old, collapsed grain silo and a sagging barn, with one door open and the rest sealed up tight.  "There!"  THe fox stands.  He looks back at his company.  "Okay, someone has to go out there ahead of us, to make sure it's safe."<br> <br>Edel grimaces a little, but nods at Morten. "I'm fine. I've had worse! I can shake it off, sure! No problem!" Though her voice wavers a little. It hurts. "I'm better off than him, thankfully." She gives a nod to Aescher. "But you'll live! And I'll sit back on the going-ahead thing. I have this nice rifle here to provide cover, though, so I'll be more useful back here, anyway."<br> <br>Morten looks forward to the ruined barn and silo, raising an eyebrow at the fox.. "How did you know this was even here?... ugh whatever" she states, throwing her arms up and shaking her head, "Please, let me go ahead and get bitten in the arse" she scoffs, wandering forward towards the barn, slow at first, waiting for any objections.. but not really expecting anyone too, "Oh well, least if the bloody packminds turn up I get the running start" she mumbles to herself.<br> <br>Aescher doesn't argue with getting to stay back as cover. He shoulders his own rifle and gets down to a spot he can give Morten overwatch from, using a small stick for support. Good thing he's practiced with his left handed aim, and can some burns from hot rounds if they hit his arm. What a day. Seriously. The rodent huffs and starts scanning for trouble with his scope.<br> <br>Nothing.  The yipping dies down as Morten makes it across to the barn.  It seems the coast has cleared for now.
 +

 +
The fox looks at the other two.  "Okay, now I'll go."  He holsters his gun, hops the fence, and breaks into a run across the tall grass.
 +

 +
BANG.  A shot, from the far end of the field.  BANG.  From the other side.  But both miss, as he ducks down and lopes on all fours toward Morten, hoping his company will be able to handle the threat.<br> <br>Edel goes prone on the ground and pushes up her goggles as she brings her eyes to the rifle's scope, turning to look towards where the first shot came from. "I'll look for the first. You try to find the second," she says through a hushed voice.<br> <br>Morten drops down and moves into the entrance of the barn, slipping inside before pushing the door open enough that she can beckon the fox over to cover, looking around and trying to see where the shots came from before turning back to the suited fox and mouthing for him to hurry up.<br> <br>The rat's ear and tail are peaked as he looks for the second shooter and takes note the fox is still unhurt as he scans. Any glints on a scope or gear? Any more snaps from the shooters? Where are they?<br> <br>The silence is tense, but both Aescher and Edel can hear cursing and mechanical noises from the side of the clearing where the first shooter was.  Eventually it stops, and there are the faintest sounds of pawfalls...  Moving away.  The scene is tense for the next period of time, as nothing happens.  The fox stands up.  Nothing.  He walks out into the clear for a moment.  Nothing...  He waves over, beckoning the two covering him.<br> <br>Edel looks around for a moment longer before pulling the goggles back down and making her way across the field, keeping low. She stays silent for now, not wanting to draw extra attention from ears.<br> <br>Morten sighs and continues to look around, ushering the suited fox to the door before she moves further into the barn and looks to make sure its safe, letting the others sort the problems outside on their own while she waits, looking around for any holes in the wall someone or something might come charging in through.<br> <br>Aescher whines in trepidation and picks himself up off the ground to follow Edel as low as he can, tucking his rifle in close as he does so. Sometime he stumbles and catches himself on the ground before scrambling to catch up to her. Maybe he can sit when he gets to the barn though? The thought of any rest actually drives the rat to move a bit quicker. Oh the motivation of a brief respite.<br> <br>The barn is clear.  As they all finally move in, the fox wanders to the middle.  "Fuck.  Where is she?"
 +

 +
His question is answered soon.  From the hay, a humanoid figure leaps up.  She's laughing, as she brushes it all off herself...  A coyote-woman, not like the ones outside.  She's in a tattered dress and blouse, grinning as she does.  "Oh, oh hey!  You brought friends."  She looks over at Aescher.  "And my squeaky toy is here. He looks a little beat-up, though, were you chewing on him?"
 +

 +
The fox rolls his eyes.  "Well, we were surrounded.  What do you propose we do now?"<br> <br>Edel glances at the coyote, brow raised. "Oh. Oh, this is great. I'm not being sarcastic, either. This whole time I was expecting this whole thing to be some kind of set up where I'd have to end up shooting the fox here or something. I'm glad that's not the case." She sniffs the air for a moment and squints. "Is all of that out there your doing? The coyotes, or even the bombs and whatnot? If so, you owe me new clothes." She holds up the hem of her jacket, as if it were a cape, showing the holes that have gone through it.<br> <br>Morten frowns and raises an eyebrow, "What the fricking hell is going on?.. did you lead us all the way here on purpose then just so we could meet this wierd woman?..." she asks angrily, folding her arms and scowling..  "And what do you mean  'we're surrounded, what do you propose'  you lead us here! your the one who picked the barn.. why do we need to make the choice?" she asks, throwing her arms up and growling.<br> <br>The honey colored rat fumbles a bit in place when he sees the coyote, murmuring something under his breath, but looking relieved. He limp-pads his way closer to the 'yote, stopping a few feet away while things get sorted out and decisions get made. Need to stay professional after all, but damn is she a sight for sore eyes. And a lovely sound for missing ears.<br>  <br>The fox frowns back at the griping.  "Nothing makes y'all happy.  I'll transfer the money into your account and from there you're on your own-- Wait."
 +

 +
He takes a sniff, and then jumps back.  He whips out his pistol and moves toward the door.  "You, isn't it!  You're the assassin!"
 +

 +
The coyote woman laughs, moving into the middle of the barn.  She, herself, withdraws a rusty pistol, and raises it, levelling it at the fox.  "It's a lot of pay.  I suggest you finish paying your clients, you don't want to be a poor businessman."
 +

"What?  You...  You bitch.  I bet this whole thing was a set-up, huh!  Now that we're out of the bubble.. . Fuck!  I bet you're all with them!"  He waves his revolver around wildly.  The coyote steps forward, but the fox  turns and shoots her right in the shoulder.  She yelps out, but tries to hold steady.  "Back off!"

From the loft there's a creaking noise.  Another coyote, the same as the one below, holding a similarly distressed rifle.  The one at floor level, the wounded one, grins.  "Don't try anything funny, folks.  You can all walk away from this.  I just want the fox in the fancy pants."<br> <br>Edel props her rifle up on her shoulder, glancing between the fox and the coyote. "I want to know what's going on here. I came for the fun, not the pay, but someone ruined my clothes and I intend to find out way." She frowns for a momnt. "And please refrain from making any threats against me, if that was intended. I am carrying a lot of explosives and I don't want something to happen to that."<br> <br>Morten looks back and forth between the coyotes and the fox.. "I am so utterly lost... what the bloody hell is going on?!... " she shouts, covering her face with her palms, sighing and sitting down on a bale of hay with a grumble.. <br> <br>At seeing the female coyote shot Aescher raises up his rifle immediately, aim wandering between Edel and Morten. He's quaking visibly now as his trigger finger gets progressively itchy. The rat just wants to go home, with the coyote. "I think it'd be best if you two put down your guns." He finally manages to squeak out to his companions. What a day.<br> <br>THe fox stumbles back some.  The coyote's aim doesn't waver.  Neither of them.  She's grinning, though a little blood is leaking out her mouth.  "C'mon, c'mon.  All ya' think this is complicated?  I take contracts.  Someone offered me a lot of money to off the fox, so I'm going to.  Right here, in this barn.  And then we'll all go back to the lobby together and have some coffee, yes?"

The fox is edging back towards the door, but both the Smokies are held tight in place.  The one on the ground is looking sicker and sicker.  She swallows with a gasp.  "D-don't worry miss, I'm a tailor, I can fix your clothes.  Hell, I made these..."

The fox was only feet from the back door now, but then the coyote with the pistol yipes, and then...  Threw up copious amounts of that red goo.  "FUCK, she's a fake!"  the fox yelled, and opened fire on the one in the rafters.<br> <br>Edel brings her rifle around as the fox shoots, aiming for his gun arm, hoping to take it out of the equation. Perhaps more than she intended, given the rifle's power. "Stop that. I want to know who wants this guy dead and why. And fixes are unsightly. I'd need a completely new tailored suit! Not even patches and scraps put together. Nice, clean pressed. I have plenty of coats, so I can replace that one easily enough." She doesn't really even look to see if her shot landed. Or where.<br> <br>Morten scowls and gives up, laying back against the hay and sighing, "This is so daft.. utterly bloody daft.. " she states unhappily and rolls her eyes with a low scoff, "Cant we just leave.. or shoot them both?.. or shoot them both and leave?..." she asks aloud, not wanting nor expecting an answer as her patience wears thin.<br> <br>Almost on reflex and out of need to protex the coyote, Aescher swings his rifle around and takes a snap shot at the fox in what he desperately hopes is a kill shot. Truth is he doesn't even know if the shot hits, because his eyes are screwed up tight and his ears (basically just holes in his head at this point) are ringing from the sound of his gun going off.<br> <br>The fox sees his bodyguards turn on him quickly, and he spits.  While the coyote on the ground is turning into goop and the one uptop has seemed to have disappeared, he fires randomly at the rat and the husky, as he runs out the door.  However, as he crashes through it, the coyote-woman appears again, this time from outside, with a wicked grin on her muzzle and her gleaming white fangs all bared.  She has a wicked, rusted tool in her hands, a long spike, that she jams up under the fox's arm, and through his chest, spilling his red blood all over his blue shirt and bulletproof vest...<br> <br>Edel leaps behind a haybale as the shots come. "Goodness, I have no clue what's going on here. I've half a mind to just shoot everyone and let fate sort them out. Damn." She doesn't even bother getting up, she just sits there and sprawls out, taking a deep breath. "I want a hug. And a cup of tea," she muses to herself.<br> <br>Morten yelps, ears ringing as the sudden sound of gunfire snaps her back to reality, she rolling and ducking behind the haybale before she realises the shots werent meant for her, she climbing up from the hay and running over to Edel as the fox man attempts to escape, running behind the haybale edel uses for cover she asks "Edel?! you ok hun?"<br> <br>Aescher doesn't pay Edel or Morten any mind once his eyes open and he sees the coyote standing over the fox. He holds his rifle by the scope as he stumbles to join her outside, not even bothering to glance over his shoulder at the two girls who ducked into cover. "Is he dead? Can we go home?" The rat looks hopeful as he asks that. Anyplace but this barn would be... stellar.<br> <br>The coyote woman nots, as she plants a swift kick to the fox's body, before she bent down to retriever her bloody bayonet.  "This part won't be pretty." She muses, as she withdraws a butcher's knife, and sets to work behinding him....

While she's working, of course, she calls into the barn, to explain to the two very confused women within.  "Don't worry, I'm with Zephyr, I won't bother you.  Let me just...  Damn it, hold on."  Chop, crunch, snap, and then another chop.  "Fuck, there, okay.  I'm leaving.  You guys, you can just...  Whatever.  Sorry you got dragged into this mess, I wanted to do him in discreet-like.  Oh well, this will do..."

She sighs, picking up the fox's head by his muzzle and wiping the blood off on his shirt.  What grisly business.  She feels like that took something out of her.  Hell, it probably took something out of everyone.  A paw on her injured rat, and she was off, leaving Morten and Edel to their fate.[[Category:RPLogs]]

On the edge of Fairhaven a stuffy fellow stood in a suit and dark glasses. He'd put out a contract for four security personell to escort him on his way out of Fairhaven. He seemed a little nervous, his big vulpine ears twitching to and fro, his tail nervous. He was one kind of dark-faced fox or another, with big eyes and a skinny frame. He was standing opposite his small Jeep Cherokee from the NUTS outpost, legs tense, ready to jump in at any moment.

Edel shuffles along the city streets, hood up as she makes her way towards the designated meeting point. When she arrives, she eyes over the jeep, first, before looking to its owner. "This is, uh, the place, right? You're the one that needed the help?"

Morten walks along the street, sighing and looking up at the sky, lost in her thoughts, she snaps back to reality as she arrives at the meeting up point, she looks around before seeing the jeep, she makes her way over and smirks at the large vulpine ears of the suited fellow... she wanders close and asks, "Your the one looking for help right?" she asks, smiling as she suddenly notices Edel and offers a wave.

Miranai was walking out toward the wastelands to continue scavaging when she noted the the large fox with a jeep. Likely not to fit anywyay.....

Aescher turns a corner and observes the gathering with a little twitch before making his way over, rifle slung over his shoulder and head down. When the golden rat is confident he's close enough to the group the plump rodent offers the gathering a shy wave and starts to quietly kick at the dirt.

The fox is jumpy at the first one that comes up to him. "So... Are you all here to take up the contract?" He glances sideways at Miranai, the huge taur, looking -it- over with a little disdain.

Edel raises her brow at the foxtaur, before her attention is brought back to the fox in the suit. "I suppose so, yes! I was just looking for something to break up the boredom!" Though she doesn't recognize Morten, she gives a polite nod, regardless.

Morten looks over the foxtaur and blinks, "Bloody hell.." she states quietly before shaking her head and looking at the group, she nods to the suited fellow and raises an eyebrow as he seems to almost look at the foxtaur with a bit of hatred.. she shrugs it off and rolls her eyes at Edel, "Edel comon.. i change so often you'd think you would get used to seeing me different.." she states with a smile.

Miranai looks over the fox and headtilts, payment, she wasn't here for payment, but the jeep, that held her interest, "Umm... could I.. even fit in there?" She asks. WHile she doesn't look very strong the tech she is carrying looks more then impressive, twin rifles, pulse energy, nanite, solar, and battery powered. She also has a heavy pack full of.. somehting. She looks at everyone looking at ther, "What... did... I do something wrong?" she asks in a very timid voice, and seems to try and make herself shrink away a bit... though that does little to make her seem any less... huge.

"This should be interesting." Aescher mutters to himself. The rat nods at Morten as he recognizes her and pads his closer to the talakai, trying to keep his eyes and ears on all the different people around him. Especially the odd, over-sized taur who's so damn curious about the jeep. "So... where are we going exactly?" The rodent asks, voice squeaky and shakey at the same time.

The fox doesn't like how the huge taur is eyeing his jeep. He frowns, leaning closer to it. "I don't know, but you'll find a way if you want to get paid. Now, you're all here for the bodyguard job, right? ...Right?" He rubs the back of his neck nervously. "Come on, it's getting late."

Edel scratches at one of her ears through the fabric of her hood before moving towards the jeep. "Ah, a lot of people change. Doesn't make it any easier for me to recognize them. My apologies if I do not remember." She shakes her head at Miranai. "I do not believe you've done anything wrong. I'm Edel, by the way. Or Eddie. Unless you're a changed person that's stringing me along, too, I don't believe we've met!"

Morten frowns at the suited man and rolls her eyes, "Yes we are... why would be here otherwise?" she asks before turning back to Edel, "Morti hun.. im morti.. comon, where's the love?" she asks with a grin, folding her arms behind her head and looking up at the sky, she lets out a soft sigh as she stare's into the heavens..

Miranai walks around the jeep a few times, and is determined to get a better look at it.. but later. "I.. I can umm.. c.. climb in." she says, not only huge but also quite along in a pregnancy.

Well since everbody else is sharing names. And so, like a proper gentle-rat, he walks over to the jeep and starts putting the seats down for the taur to fit, since she's so inclined to come along.

The fox's demeanor was mirroring the rat's. Hurry up."

Edel hops into the jeep with a nod, adjusting her equipment so that she may properly seat herself. "Sounds good to me. I came here to do something fun, and standing around isn't doing it. Good to see you again, though, Morten. You're different. In more than just form."

Morten blinks and shrugs, "About time, lets get a move on then" she states climbing into the Jeep and moving along as to take as little space as possible, she leans back and looks at Edel, "Good to see you too and im so glad you noticed!.. " she states with a smirk, looking back at the foxtaur and raising an eyebrow, "huh... think the jeep can handle this much weight?" she asks the suited fox.

After the seats are lowered, loads in her pack, the... settles into the jeep herself. It is a tight fit to leave the few seats up that are up, but she manged. The whole jeep shifts back as her conceterable bulk is put into it. She lays down, breasts still sticking out passed the first few seats. "I'm... I'm ... ready." she says.

Aescher tilts his head as everybody files into the jeep. Where to fit a somewhat plump rat who highly values his personal space? The rat eventually settles on the middle row, right next to Morten and trying to avoid Mira's breasts hanging over the seat.

The fox gets in the driver's seat, and turns the key.

"Fuck, it's really true, the fuckers really hired someone to kill me!" he snarls as he guns it down the unrepaired road.

Edel gives a startled yelp and cradles her rifle, flicking the safety off and reaching up under her hood to pull her goggles down over her eyes. "I didn't expect to be dealing with armed, sane people. This got more interesting, certainly! Who's trying to kill you?"

Morten shout out angrily as the jeep shakes and bumps along the road, "Bloody fricking hell.." she states unhappily, lowering her head as bullets fly past, stray shots hitting the car, she looks over to Edel and rolls her eyes, "A strange shifty man asks you to protect him in his rustbucket of a car and you -didnt- expect to get attacked by someone? really?" she asks with a grin, almost enjoying her own sence of humor before slumping back to avoid anymore stray bullets.

Miranai yips loudly, and tries again to make herself smaller, but, that is no good! The round nearly hits her in the ass! All the bouncing around makes her jiggle and jostle a great great deal, yipping like mad as her breasts start to spill and leak their motherly load all over the van! Huge mamories leaking a constant stream of the nutritant rich fluid, Mira cowering slightly, almost in a panic from all that is going on.

There's a lot of squeaking coming from Aescher as bullets whiz by and he's bounced around the inside of the jeep. Or well at all?

The fox curses loud as he tries to keep the jeep under control on the rapidly degrading road.

As he's talking, though, something beeps... A phone ringing. "What's that? Whose cellphone- Aw, shit."

Just then, there's an explosion, loud, to the north side of the road where the path is. The Cherokee is lifted into the air a bit, and tumbles onto its side, all the windows busting from one side to the other.

Edel starts to swear and curse with enough colour to make a sailor blush. Some of it doesn't even make sense. The word 'kraken' is thrown around a few times, but it comes to a stop when the bomb goes off. And then starts up again as she pulls herself out of the wreckage, sporting several new holes in her clothes and her body. "They ruined my clothes again! Son of a... I'm going to kill every single one of them!" She scoots to the side of the vehicle, using it for cover as she checks over her sniper.

Morten sits back rather calmly in the truck before she hears the phone ring and her eyes widen as she looks as if shes having an aneurysm, one the car is done crashing to its side she climbs out of the wreckage and dusts herself off, cricking her neck before looking at Edel and raising an eyebrow at her as she yells about her clothes "Yeah thats it, shout and let them know we're not dead and they need to try harder.." she states sarcastically..

Miranai yelps out again! As she hears the phone ring though, her left eye starts glowing, trying to track the source as quickly as she can.... that is till the car starts rolling! Milk.. blood, scrapes, bruses.. everywhere.. everywhere! WHen it is finally done she tries to open up the door in the back and get out... wondering if it will open.

The rat is... not faring nearly as well as Edel and Morten. There's bleeding all along his left side, his ears are ringing, and this day is officially terrible.

The fox tries to kick the door open but to no avail. "We have to move, they're more organized than we thought..."

Edel shoots a look at Morten. "Drop the attitude. I'm not in the mood for it." She adjusts her goggles and stands. Her short nature means she's still concealed behind the cover of the jeep. "Lead the way, I guess. Who is it that's after you, and why? No need to stop and talk, you can explain as you go. The more I know about who we're dealing with, the easier it'll be for me to stop them."

Morten coughs and wipes the last of the specks of glass from her fur as she looks over the ruins of the jeep, turning to the suited man she shakes her head, "Who's we?.. " she asks, not expecting an answer, she sighs as he makes his way off, edel snapping at her and following on.. "Oh sure, get mad at me not the blokes who just tried to blow us up.." she states before looking back to the jeep and the foxtaur, "Wait shouldnt we.. help?" she asks.

Miranai yips out a few times, still very frightened! I.. I'm ..s.. sorry.. I.. I.. can't.." she says and with that, takes off with all the speed the taur can muster back toward 'civilization.'

Aescher stumbles to his feet with a pained wince and a series of twitches, leaning heavily on his relatively unhurt right and looking around the area. If only so he's not alone on the dangerous road.

The fox sneers at the taur, who speeds off. He then begins into the forest. "C'mon, we don't have time!" He goes at a vigorous pace, his polished paw-shoes surprisingly quiet in the brush...

Edel narrows her eyes, glancing around as she follows the fox into the forest. "You do know where we're going, right?" She watches her footing carefully, making sure she doesn't step into any traps or mines. "I don't want to walk right into an ambush or anything."

Morten follows along, shaking her head as the foxtaur runs off, "Look on the bright side, maybe the blokes trying to kill you will go after her first." she states with an evil grin, looking up at the tree line, "Oh yay I love the forest, this day is looking up!" she smiles, almost uncaring about the situation.

Aescher trips a little and follows at a good distance in Edel's path. People think scars are attractive right?

They go through the woods for hours, and the fox seems to pick up speed. His ears twitch... He hears something the other's don't. What to them may be the breeze, he hears something fearsome. He reaches into his pocket and withdraws a small revolver. He's muttering to himself the whole time...

They go and go, before there's a loud yip. To Aescher, it's familiar. Definitely a coyote. In fact, that smell...

Shit..."

Edel stops in her tracks, blinking. "Is that... A packmind? Here?" She tilts her head. "I do hope it won't be hostile towards me, if that's the case..." She peers around the area from behind her red lensed goggles. "This situation got a lot more strange."

Morten blinks and stares at the puddle, "Oh not this again... " she states, shaking her head and sighing loudly, "This lovely trip in the woods while being hunted by insane hitmen just got ruined!" she grumbles.

That yip. What a day.

The fox looks back at his group. "A what...? Whatever. We have to keep going. Don't you guys turn out to be chickenshit on me now!" With that he reloads the revolver, and continues into the woods. The distant coyote yips continue.

Edel shakes her head. "I didn't plan on it. What's going on out there? Something is definitely off about this." She scowls and glances around the forest, a free hand reaching up to rub her head. "And what is that smell?"

Morten scowls at the fox, "Oy, chickenshit?!.. who uses that work anymore, bloody hell... " she tuts and follows, looking at Edel, "Oh yeah.. how did that whole yote thing turn out?" she asks with a shrug, not really expecting an answer.. her ears twitch as the yotes yip in the distance, "Hmm.. maybe the yotes will eat the hitmen.. or maybe theyre working together.. or maybe this is just a dream and we're all still out cold in the wreckage of the jeep" she shrugs.

Aescher starts to shudder a bit as the obstacle of his wounds becomes even more exagerated in his mind. He continues to follow close to the group, shrugging off the foxes insult and not sliding the bolt on his Enfield forward if anyone notices. The sounds of coyotes in the distance are actually sort of soothing considering the situation.

They're going, going again, deeper into the woods. It's getting dark and the clouds are turning crimson with the sunset over the mountains. The path is thicker overgrown, but the trees are sparser... Then a snap of a twig. The fox spins around but he can only see as a Coyote rushes Edel! Despite whatever attempts, she feels this thing IS a packmind, but, it's not a Coyote packmind, not at all, nothing like the one from Oregon she's part of...

When the coyote makes a go at her, Edel reflexively raises her arm to block, and is rewarded with jaws clamping down on her arm. "Dammit!" While it's latched onto her arm she brings the rifle around and presses the end of the barrel to the coyote's underside and pulls the trigger.

Morten thinks to herself as the group moves deeper and deeper into the woods, hearing the snap of a twig, she turns to see a coyote rush edel, she steps back as the coyote pounces edel, biting into her arm causing morten to tilt her head and watch, looking like she wants to do something but quickly finding it a bit too late to bother.

The blonde rat is backed up and watching what's happening with ever extremity peaked, fumbling to get his gun ready to help Edel. Though it's too late by the time he does with Edel already firing into it. He shudders a bit, just wanting to go home and curl up in his nest.

The coyote jumps back off Edel, red goop flowing from its mouth and the gaping wound it its body, dissolving from the inside out before it fades away. The bite bleeds but does little else. No changes at all.

The fox in the suit and bullet proof vest frowns, his pistol ready in his paws as he looks around, ears perk and alert, muscles tense. "Damnit. Hurry up, follow me, we need to get to that barn! We should be almost there."

Edel snarls and holds her arm close, grinding her teeth. "Let us be done with it, then. The sooner we're out of the forest the better." She glances back towards the rat. "How are you holding up?"

Morten groans and looks around, "Yeah lets get a move on before more turn up and-...wait what barn? how the heck will a barn protect us?" she asks, scowling as the suited fox barks out orders, she turns to Edel "You alright?.. " she asks before frowning weakly at the rat.. not really able to offer any words she sighs and just goes to move along with the suited fox.

Aescher

"Fine... not really." Aescher gives a frail buck-tooth smile at Edel and starts following weakly after Morten and the fox. "Thanks for asking though." The rat coughs as if clearing his throat. "Half a league, half a league, Half a league onward, All in the valley of Death. Rode the six hundred..." There's a wry look on the rodent's face as he recites the poem he recently read in a book.

The path goes on as the fox is at a jog, panting. The trees thin, the yapping grows louder, until they come to a clearing, and a fence. Further on, a hundred yards, there's an old, collapsed grain silo and a sagging barn, with one door open and the rest sealed up tight. "There!" THe fox stands. He looks back at his company. "Okay, someone has to go out there ahead of us, to make sure it's safe."

Edel grimaces a little, but nods at Morten. "I'm fine. I've had worse! I can shake it off, sure! No problem!" Though her voice wavers a little. It hurts. "I'm better off than him, thankfully." She gives a nod to Aescher. "But you'll live! And I'll sit back on the going-ahead thing. I have this nice rifle here to provide cover, though, so I'll be more useful back here, anyway."

Morten looks forward to the ruined barn and silo, raising an eyebrow at the fox.. "How did you know this was even here?... ugh whatever" she states, throwing her arms up and shaking her head, "Please, let me go ahead and get bitten in the arse" she scoffs, wandering forward towards the barn, slow at first, waiting for any objections.. but not really expecting anyone too, "Oh well, least if the bloody packminds turn up I get the running start" she mumbles to herself.

Aescher doesn't argue with getting to stay back as cover. He shoulders his own rifle and gets down to a spot he can give Morten overwatch from, using a small stick for support. Good thing he's practiced with his left handed aim, and can some burns from hot rounds if they hit his arm. What a day. Seriously. The rodent huffs and starts scanning for trouble with his scope.

Nothing. The yipping dies down as Morten makes it across to the barn. It seems the coast has cleared for now.

The fox looks at the other two. "Okay, now I'll go." He holsters his gun, hops the fence, and breaks into a run across the tall grass.

BANG. A shot, from the far end of the field. BANG. From the other side. But both miss, as he ducks down and lopes on all fours toward Morten, hoping his company will be able to handle the threat.

Edel goes prone on the ground and pushes up her goggles as she brings her eyes to the rifle's scope, turning to look towards where the first shot came from. "I'll look for the first. You try to find the second," she says through a hushed voice.

Morten drops down and moves into the entrance of the barn, slipping inside before pushing the door open enough that she can beckon the fox over to cover, looking around and trying to see where the shots came from before turning back to the suited fox and mouthing for him to hurry up.

The rat's ear and tail are peaked as he looks for the second shooter and takes note the fox is still unhurt as he scans. Any glints on a scope or gear? Any more snaps from the shooters? Where are they?

The silence is tense, but both Aescher and Edel can hear cursing and mechanical noises from the side of the clearing where the first shooter was. Eventually it stops, and there are the faintest sounds of pawfalls... Moving away. The scene is tense for the next period of time, as nothing happens. The fox stands up. Nothing. He walks out into the clear for a moment. Nothing... He waves over, beckoning the two covering him.

Edel looks around for a moment longer before pulling the goggles back down and making her way across the field, keeping low. She stays silent for now, not wanting to draw extra attention from ears.

Morten sighs and continues to look around, ushering the suited fox to the door before she moves further into the barn and looks to make sure its safe, letting the others sort the problems outside on their own while she waits, looking around for any holes in the wall someone or something might come charging in through.

Aescher whines in trepidation and picks himself up off the ground to follow Edel as low as he can, tucking his rifle in close as he does so. Sometime he stumbles and catches himself on the ground before scrambling to catch up to her. Maybe he can sit when he gets to the barn though? The thought of any rest actually drives the rat to move a bit quicker. Oh the motivation of a brief respite.

The barn is clear. As they all finally move in, the fox wanders to the middle. "Fuck. Where is she?"

The fox rolls his eyes. "Well, we were surrounded. What do you propose we do now?"

Edel glances at the coyote, brow raised. If so, you owe me new clothes." She holds up the hem of her jacket, as if it were a cape, showing the holes that have gone through it.

Morten frowns and raises an eyebrow, "What the fricking hell is going on?.. did you lead us all the way here on purpose then just so we could meet this wierd woman?..." she asks angrily, folding her arms and scowling.. "And what do you mean 'we're surrounded, what do you propose' you lead us here! your the one who picked the barn.. why do we need to make the choice?" she asks, throwing her arms up and growling.

The honey colored rat fumbles a bit in place when he sees the coyote, murmuring something under his breath, but looking relieved. He limp-pads his way closer to the 'yote, stopping a few feet away while things get sorted out and decisions get made. Need to stay professional after all, but damn is she a sight for sore eyes. And a lovely sound for missing ears.

The fox frowns back at the griping. "Nothing makes y'all happy. I'll transfer the money into your account and from there you're on your own-- Wait."

He takes a sniff, and then jumps back. He whips out his pistol and moves toward the door. "You, isn't it! You're the assassin!"

The coyote woman laughs, moving into the middle of the barn. She, herself, withdraws a rusty pistol, and raises it, levelling it at the fox. "It's a lot of pay. I suggest you finish paying your clients, you don't want to be a poor businessman."

"What? You...

I just want the fox in the fancy pants."

Edel props her rifle up on her shoulder, glancing between the fox and the coyote. "I want to know what's going on here. I came for the fun, not the pay, but someone ruined my clothes and I intend to find out way." She frowns for a momnt. "And please refrain from making any threats against me, if that was intended. I am carrying a lot of explosives and I don't want something to happen to that."

Morten looks back and forth between the coyotes and the fox.. "I am so utterly lost... what the bloody hell is going on?!... " she shouts, covering her face with her palms, sighing and sitting down on a bale of hay with a grumble..

At seeing the female coyote shot Aescher raises up his rifle immediately, aim wandering between Edel and Morten. He's quaking visibly now as his trigger finger gets progressively itchy. The rat just wants to go home, with the coyote. "I think it'd be best if you two put down your guns." He finally manages to squeak out to his companions. What a day.

THe fox stumbles back some.

"FUCK, she's a fake!" the fox yelled, and opened fire on the one in the rafters.

Edel brings her rifle around as the fox shoots, aiming for his gun arm, hoping to take it out of the equation. Or where.

Morten scowls and gives up, laying back against the hay and sighing, "This is so daft.. utterly bloody daft.. " she states unhappily and rolls her eyes with a low scoff, "Cant we just leave.. or shoot them both?.. or shoot them both and leave?..." she asks aloud, not wanting nor expecting an answer as her patience wears thin.

Almost on reflex and out of need to protex the coyote, Aescher swings his rifle around and takes a snap shot at the fox in what he desperately hopes is a kill shot. Truth is he doesn't even know if the shot hits, because his eyes are screwed up tight and his ears (basically just holes in his head at this point) are ringing from the sound of his gun going off.

The fox sees his bodyguards turn on him quickly, and he spits. She has a wicked, rusted tool in her hands, a long spike, that she jams up under the fox's arm, and through his chest, spilling his red blood all over his blue shirt and bulletproof vest...

Edel leaps behind a haybale as the shots come. "Goodness, I have no clue what's going on here. I've half a mind to just shoot everyone and let fate sort them out. Damn." She doesn't even bother getting up, she just sits there and sprawls out, taking a deep breath. "I want a hug. And a cup of tea," she muses to herself.

Morten yelps, ears ringing as the sudden sound of gunfire snaps her back to reality, she rolling and ducking behind the haybale before she realises the shots werent meant for her, she climbing up from the hay and running over to Edel as the fox man attempts to escape, running behind the haybale edel uses for cover she asks "Edel?! you ok hun?"

Aescher doesn't pay Edel or Morten any mind once his eyes open and he sees the coyote standing over the fox. He holds his rifle by the scope as he stumbles to join her outside, not even bothering to glance over his shoulder at the two girls who ducked into cover. "Is he dead? Can we go home?" The rat looks hopeful as he asks that. Anyplace but this barn would be... stellar.

The coyote woman nots, as she plants a swift kick to the fox's body, before she bent down to retriever her bloody bayonet.

A paw on her injured rat, and she was off, leaving Morten and Edel to their fate.
