Once done, the group heads back up the pipe the way they came, and reports the information to Milo. The Pangolin thanks them for their help, and gives them their payment for completing the mission. With that done, he thanks them for a job well done and lets them depart.[[Category:RPLogs]]

A setting sun can be seen in Fairhaven as Milo sat by himself in the Lobby of the third floor. The Pangolin smiled as he sat and looked though his reading material in his patience. He had ran the broadcast ealier and was curious who would be up for this run.

Cerl had been relaxing on the second floor, watching the ebb and flow of people down in the lobby when the broadcast for agents came through. Since she was already here in Zephyr, she decided she'd take a look and see what it was all about. Heading to the third floor she looks around, and waves at the only obvious person waiting for anything. "Good afternoon. Are you Milo? I'm here about the contract you broadcast earlier."

Gcc walks into the third floor lobby, shielding her eyes from the sun as she makes her way to the pangolin sitting by himself with a book, and the shadow vixen waving and speaking to him. She walks up and waits for the vixen to finish before starting, "Hi, are you Milo? I'm here for the Sewer Improvement Project mission as well."

Firecracker bolts up to the third floor of the building from the lobby proper below, zipping into the area with all the energy the pint-sized pink pegasus usually carries. "Hiya, peoples!" she calls out happily to the currently-assembled group, "I'm Firecracker! Is this the place for the exploramaficationating? I love doing that! Ya never know what fun stuff you're gunna find until you find it! Like when I was explorafictionating over by this river and I found a turtle and I hopped on its back and we went down into this cave and there were all these sparkly rocks and shiny things and then I found a screwdriver which was weird cause there weren't even any screws to drive!"

Mokou had seen the alert run across her comms earlier in the day, a dwelling irritation seeming to form in the pit of her gut. Last time something down beneath had happened... it had felt... Unpleasant. But today? Now? Now as she gird herself in a seperate set of gear, the lass patting the metalic tank upon her back... She felt ready. Ichy, the suit pressing in what felt unatural ways in on her, and the armor covering what normally could be held... and a bit warmer than she care to admit... But ready. A fear to overcome, and good to come from it as well. How could she refuse such an offer? So out to the second floor, climbing the stairs with a more hollow thump than usual, she eyes sallow and smile lean. She stepped over, a gloved hand raised in greeting. The others said her message well enough, but a note of confirmation was given none the less. "Heh... Hello Fire dearie. And yes, it indeed is for... exploring I believe." A swift nod towards Milo... "Mokou, from the negotions... This is... ah... will be there, yes?"

Escherr had heard the broadcast and started heading his way to the lobby. Still needing to stretch his legs and contacts, a chance to go exploring, along with helping a few to be in good graces was always a plus. Hell last time he ended up in Japan, how many could say they have been some of the first to view the strange exotic place. Looking around to the various people had shown up to the call. "Here for the exploration mission to the sewers."

Milo coughs for a minute at Fire's exposition before looking to the group. "Yes, I am Milo, your representative for this mission, and this is the gathering place for it." He says "To quickly note, I am looking for a few people to survey a portion of the old sewers as requested by Zephyr, and as part of it have a map of them recorded if possible. Map materials will be provided if needed, as well as some lanterns." he says "Are you all up for such tasks?"

Cerl nods. "I can make my own light, if needed, or record images of the tunnels we pass through." She sighs, glancing at the hyperactive pony. "Hello Fire." then nods at Mokou and Gcc, having met them on previous missions, then nods to the mall rat...the only agent she doesn't recognize.

"Hiya, foxy person!" Firecracker returns to Cerl with a wave as she hovers at about average head height. "I'm really light already, so I don't think I can make myself even lighter, but who knows! Oh but anyway, what's your name? And what's everyone else's names toos?" she asks, looking around to the rest of the group.

Mokou offered a slight smile back a deep breath taken in... and out. Might be the last clean one for a long while yet after all. "That sounds... Well, I am up for the task as I will ever be. The undergrounds here have been... uncertain for long enough." Reaching down to a breastside pocket, she quickly began running through something on her comms. "Just... Hmm.. Alright. P-perhaps a... lanturn would be handy for me at least. Certainty in old systems..." Looking up, a slow shiver shook her, the lass ending with a brief sigh. "Y-you have any... blueprints from... city record? Might be able... t-to have an idea with that... O-or at least a frame of reference."

Escherr keeps looking around to each person, giving them a once over and thinking of what they could contributed. The hovering equine did seem rather easily excitable making him chuckle some as he took to leaning back against a wall letting most go before him in introductions and skills. Mokou seemed a bit nervouse to this expeidtion making him question if they could handle it. "Is just a sewer, is not even that foul smelling really. Names Escherr here and I tend to get around so can always make the maps. Mostly just wheel and deal so am good with words I suppose." Giving a shrug.

Gcc nods at that the Milo's explanation, "I suspect that all of that will be quite possible thanks to the lights and maps."

Milo shakes his head at Mokou "Unfortunently any records of that section of the sewers was lost during the aftermath of P-Day, which is why a map of the area is requested. This map can be done using a Nanotech recording function like she had mentioned, or though pen and paper which we can supply you, we are just seeking knowledge of the area so as to know what needs to be done in the future" he says "If there are no other questions, I will hand out materials and you may be on your way. The map sheet has the starting point of the pipe in question, please follow it as far as possible and then report back to me your findings. Good Luck." he says and passes out stuff as needed.

Cerl accepts a flashlight and recording materials, stashing them in her belt pouches in case they were needed. Taking a copy of the map, she starts heading out to the pipe entrance, figuring the others will catch up once they've also gathered whatever supplies they need.

Gcc takes a lantern and some more recording materials, and walks out the door following the Shadow Vixen's lead, since she appears to have some idea of where to go.

Firecracker settles atop Cerl's head, folding her wings to her sides and sitting up on her haunches while she collects her gear. "Nope! Operation: Exploramatate the Sewers and Draw a Map is a goooo!" she cheers, thrusting a forehoof onwards towards adventure!

Mokou picked up a lantern, setting it to clip upon her hip as she moved over for a moment. Shuffling over with her comms, she finally managed to clip it upon that breastside pocket, setting it to record audio when they would reach the sewer. "G-got it... Figure out where. What. How long. How deep... Explore.. Report. G-got it." Flicing a gaze to the others, she tried to crack a smile as they headed off. "Oh, and since you asked... it is Mokou, Fire. Let's... See how this goes..."

Escherr picks up the materials as well and soon takes his leave to head to the sewer entrance. Least this would be more to his element, hoping to not face radiation again.

After a simple walk accross town, the group reaches the sewers, and the the damp mess that is within. As each person walks down into them, thoes without suits are accousted a little by the feeling of the place.

Cerl checks the map one last time to make sure she is at the entrance to the section Milo had contracted the party to chart out. Wrinkling her nose at the stench of decomposition wafting out of it, she scans the area , keeping an eye out for hostiles while the rest of the group finishes assembling.

Gcc breathes easily in the suit, takes out one of the maps they have of the sewers and attempts to orient herself by them, though she isn't paying so much attention to the depths of darkness in the sewer.

Firecracker simply rocks side to side atop Cerl's head, humming a happy little exploration tune to herself and the little group nearby as they start spelunking! Or whatever the proper term is for wandering around in the sewers. The sewer's scent doesn't seem to bother the little pony in the slightest!

Escherr moved about and to the sewer hole. Seeing as others where putting on their suits he sighed some and started to do the same "Hate these things, so constricting. Someone needs to invent another form of protection or some nanomagic." Mostly talking to himself as he dressed up and readied the suit before moving into the sewer. Underground always was a bit more prefered for the rat anyhow.

the group finds the entrance to the sewer without much issue. Beginning down it, the signs of feral having transversed through the place can be seen here and there, but the Ferals themselves do not seem to want to be seen. As the group works their way down the first stretch, they come upon a point where the path slopes downward at a steep angle, the side pathways to pipe seeming to form steps, though they are ones that are not in the best of shape.

Cerl raises her paw, a cone of light shining forth from it though she is not holding a flashlight. Aiming it down the steps, she starts to carefully examine them as far out as her light shines. "Steep steps or a slide down the pipe. neither looks like a good option for me." she murmurs.

Gcc gingerly makes her way down the stairs, almost making it to the bottom when a stair gives way beneath her, sending her on a gentle tumble into the sluiceway. The sluiceway sends her to the bottom, where she stands up unharmed.

"Or ya can just do this!" Firecracker says, hopping off Cerl's head as Gcc starts her way down the stairs. The tiny pegasus simply flutters her way down as the cougar starts to tumble to the bottom, and then the pony meets her as she stands by landing atop her head. "Hehehe, that looked fun!" she giggles, looking down over her head with a bright smile.

Mokou trudged through the dimmly lit sewer, a hand kept upon the side of the wall with every step, careful to keep herself steady. The stench wasn't as bad as she wanted to say... but it still burnt. At least her legs didn't feel they were on fire this time. Just... tense, pressed in on all sides, something seeming ever out of reach, out in the dark... But the stairs before he? She could at least address that. A slow step forward, careful upon the slippery edges... One step down... Lifting her lantern, seemed many more to go... "Blasted... who puts stairs in a sewer," she murmured, slowly stepping further down... Echoing, solid steps. That is, until one did not echo, rather sounding like slick slap. Weight was placed though, and down she went! Tumbling, slipping down the cavern with a staunch look of surprise predominating her expression, a faint whimper at her lips as she hurtled into the beyond!

SPLASH... "Gah, I hate sewers!" Trundling to her feet, Mokou shined her light on up, trying to wave to them do them. "I'm... I'm okay! Just... Okay." Flicking the gunk off herself, she quietly grumbled, waiting for a time...

Escherr having seen his way that was spotted before now broken stairs making him frown a bit, should of went before as was possibly lighter. Giving a shrug some and being reckless just jumps down the slide and takes it to fast as you hear a cannonball like splash a loud THUD and a bit of a groan. "Starting to think I will get hurt on every misson" Checking over his suit and finding it fine just a few sore spots.

reaching into one of the deep pouches lining her utility belt, Cerl pulls out a thin, but fairly long, cord. Tying it securely to the strongest section of the pipe she can find, she lets herself down the pipe slowly, paying the cord out as she goes, until she is safely at the bottom. "Well, at least we have a way back up now, if it should be necessary." she snerks, looking off down the pipe ahead, shining her nanomagic light around.

Gcc helps Escherr get up, "Well, it might just be that you go and do things like that." She looks over his suit, "Though you look like you'll live, doesn't feel like anything's broken, does it?"

Hopping out of the way of someone who hurtled down much less... gracefully, Mokou reached out, hauling them back upright with a faint grunt of effort. "'cm on. Can't have you falling and breaking something... already..." A small smile passed her muzzle, the lass flicking her flashlight out across theway. "Let's see... Now where do we need to go...now..."

"Woohoo! Challenge 1: Complete!" Firecracker cheers atop Gcc's head, hopping up and down in place. "Onwards to the next obstacle in our adventure!" she proclaims, thrusting a foreleg deeper into the tunnels!

Escherr is helped up "Eh at times have to take that leap of faith" Stretching a bit and testing his limbs. "Nothing broken, a few bruises. Just don't have me lift anything and I will be fine." Looking around some to the new location and listening to the others. "I want to live inside your head for a day Fire, it seems like its a game, am decent at those" Chuckling some and cracking a bit at his joints to feel a bit better as moved to take note of their path.

After taking some brief notes, the group continues down the pass, working their way along and keeping notes as needed. After a long walk ahead, they agian find themselves having reached a sudden drop, this time, directly down, as the pipe seems to drop into a larger resevoir, the water flowing like a falls. Nearby, they see a short bridge, which seems to be stuck upward, leading to a sturdy set of stairs on the way down.

Looking the bridge over, Cerl finds a control panel with what looks like a working lever mechanism. "Hey guys, might want to stand back, just in case...I think I found the way to lower the bridge." With that statement out of the way, she reaches out to give the lever a pull.

Gcc stays back from the machinery, knowing that she's not any good with them at all, so she just watches Cerl manipulate it, knowing better than to mess with it.

"Oh! You can go in my head if ya want!" Firecracker responds as the group continues on their way. Once they reach their second challenge, she points to the raised bridge and announces, "Challenge 2: Getting across the bridge!"

with a loud CACHUNK and the sound of moving gears the bridge starts winding it's way down. Slowly it works its way until it gets to about 45 degrees when there is a suddenly crack, and the bridge stops in place, the engine wiring quietly in it's place.

Cerl sighs when the bridge mechanism breaks, and gives the control panel a kick in case it does any good. "Anyone got any ideas for how to drop that the rest of the way?"

Gcc shrugs at Cerl when she asks that, and starts to curse at the bridge, enumerating all the ways she can ruin it's existance. The bridge takes the abuse stoically.

"Oh I know!" Firecracker chirps happily, hopping off Gcc's head to fly up to the end of the bridge. She lands atop it with all four legs, perching at its highest point and looking down and around. Then she starts jumping up and down in place, persuading the bridge to fall with repeated tiny taps of her hoofsies. "C'mon Bridgey! Go down go down!"

"You know... Considering that it is a lever based bridge, that moves from upright to an angled position, that means the normative position for the bridge is down, and the mechanism holds it in place." Giving a deadpand glance back to Cerl, she simply shrugs. "You can figure out how to fix it, or break the mechanism. Fifty fifty nothing happens... or it is fixed."

Escherr looks over the system some looking over the trail of gears and the system itself. His little thinking habbit a bit blocked as he scratched as his neck and chin in though but was blocked by the suit and spotting the broken axel. "The gears are still in good shape but the dropping mechanism is broke. I am still a bit sore but if we can reach" Watching Fire move about and jump on the edge of the bridge. "She sorta has the right idea actually, just not the weight. Maybe toss something to her and can tug it down?"

The Bridge wiggles a little from the little pegasus' bouncing, but it doesn't seem to move or budge with how little she is.

Cerl looks at the way the insignificant weight of Firecracker is causing the bridge to wiggle, and it gives her ideas. Backing up, she takes a short run and jumps at the bridge, trying to use her better than 400 lbs of weight to knock it down more...and down it goes, but only another 15 degrees worth. Still, now the bridge is at an easier to walk on incline, perhaps more weight applied to it will finish knocking it the rest of the way down.

Gcc watches as Cerl throws herself a the bridge, shrugging. If her words can't break its bones, and Cerl's mass can't push it all the way down, then she probably won't either, but she has to try something, so she tries to tell it the lies that bridges need to hear to move. The bridge needed no such lies, so it does nothing.

"Thanks for goin' down a little, Bridgey! But can ya go down a liiiiiiittle bit more so you're all the way flat?" Firecracker asks the bridge, still perched right on the tippy top of the bridge as it gets closer to the ground.

Watching the group rumage about, the bridge for long enough to grow irksome, Mokou quietly waited. Levers launched, a Firecracker to the upper most reaches, and Cerl hopping over to push it down... Mokou sighed. "Oh for the love of..." she grumbled, moving over towards the edge of the bridge. Twas walkable, but the return trip might be more difficult... So she reached down. "Go... Down... Blasted... Bridge!" A grit of her teeth, and the plywood path slowly began to inch its way downward...

Escherr makes a note of that needing worked on or fixed before the public are allowed to come through here. Once down though he moved to walk forward testing the bridge with a few steps and felt confident enough that it would now hold. "Right well we have persuaded the bridge to carry us across. Nearly bested by a bridge...." Having to think a bit at that and shaking his head. "Gods help us if we run into an actual threat."

continuing on, and down the stairs, the group works its way down some winding passages before it reaches what seems to be a bit of a area with a deeper trough, as it countiues on into the darkness ahead.

Cerl spots something in the water, and motions everyone to stop. "There's something swimming here. Be careful." She looks around before fading into invisibility, stepping away from the rest of the party to keep watch for any potential ambushers.

Gcc looks around alarmed, having also heard the ripples in the water. She raises her gun and prepares to meet whatever's coming with great force and equal inaccuracy.

As the bridge falls, Firecracker hops off it and tosses a thanks in her direction as she flits over to land upon Mokou's head now. "Thanks, Bridgey! And now, Challenge 2: Complete!" She tosses her forehooves up above her in victory!

After a bit of time and walking passes, Cerl gives her warning to the group, to which the tiny pegasus responds, "Oh you mean like the person swimming back there?" She points a forehoof casually over her shoulder to indicate a second rippling in the water from behind!

Looking back at the water, a few errant ripples running through it, Mokou sighed. Today just wasn't going as planned in the slightest. Reaching behind her, tapping to the spray nozzle on her metalic backpack, she stepped to the side, gazing down at the murky depths. "L-lovely... J-just what we need... now... And yes Fire. Just like that one... Fantastic..."

Escherr stops after being told a noise was heard, having seen nothing himself he would have to rely on what others saw. Arming himself with his own pistol as well, as not to be caught off gaurd. "Perceptive little pony aren't you?" Smirking a bit and looking into the direction. "Crocs maybe?" Moving to turn and face behind as the tail end of the group.

Suddenly from withing the trough, one of the Male Gator Morphs reaches out in the direction of Escherr teeth agape!

Cerl, having been clued in by Fire that there was more than 1 gator, preps her crossbow but does not shoot yet. Instead she stays hidden in the shadows, watching the water for the second attacker...and any other friends they might be bringing.

Gcc shoots her bolt-action rifle as accurately as she can manage given the lack of light and all the other confounding factors, but most of all, her own lack of skill, but still manages to hit the gator mid-leap.

"Darn right," Firecracker says with a grin as she engulfs herself with pink flames and shoots off Mokou's head to intercept the gator leaping towards Escherr. With a frontflip and an axekick, she slams its head down as she gets it to focus on her now. "Let's get to the beating!"

the Gator growls as he gathers and leaps at Fire, the Pony deftly missing it's jaws as it turns.

Watching the gators reach up, moving on towards them with intent clear, Mokou stepped back a half moment! Eyes wide, that nozzle was whipped forward, the lass taking a moment to aim before letting fly a sharp blackened whirl of flaming debris at the offenders! "Blasted... Get out of here!" A whirlwhind of heat and dissarray, but nothing in terms of lasting damage it seemed.

Escherr takes aime and fires just as Fire moves in to strike the gator that was after him. The sudden change in movement of the gator had the bullet miss and strike into the wall as it made the area a bit iced over but nothing more

the Male Gator charges at Fire with a snap of his teeth, but only gets air. Annoyed, the Gator spins around and turns to charge after its original target Escherr.

Cerl scans the water and notes that any other ripples are gone...perhaps there was only the one gator the whole time. Taking quick aim, she fires her bolt at the croc, nailing it square in the chest, and making the great beast stumble. Keeping her eye on the croc, Cerl busies herself with reloading.

Gcc jumps in the way of the gator, and attempts to transfix them with a stare. Shit doesn't work, and the gator continues to charge, but with her in the way. She braces for the hit that the charging gator will no doubt inflict when Cerl manages to hit it square in the chest, interrupting its charge.

Firecracker dashes backwards with her wings as the gator comes in for a bite, leaving him chomping down on air. "Heh, still not out eh? Alright then, have some more!" The tiny fireball of a pegasus lets out a roar as she pummels him in the head with repeated "punches" of her forelegs, "RrrraaAAAAAAAAHHH!" With a final blow, she sends him down!

Turning about as the gater falls, Mokou leered back at the murky depths behind them, eyes scouring for the one that was mentioned before, hunting for sight of them... Alas, a few moments pass without anything found, and she simply sighs. "Stupid... Blasted... Sewers..."

Escherr moves to the croc and pushes the form some with his foot, finding it to be truely knocked out. "Little things back a punch" Having to look over the rest and feeling somewhat inadequate, least in the fighting department. "Well I think is enough excitment for one day. THink I will be heading back up and scaving for some parts for the bridge to work properly." Giving a bit of a wave and turning his back to them and walking ahead.

Continuing on, the group continues to canvas the pipes, until they come upon a collapse. In front of them, the sewer has caved, leaving no easy way further, escept for the water that flows though a gap at the bottom. Looking over it, they unfortently find, no easy way to clear it, and make notes for Zephyr to come back with the nessecary equipment for nanomagic later for repairs.

Once done, the group heads back up the pipe the way they came, and reports the information to Milo. The Pangolin thanks them for their help, and gives them their payment for completing the mission. With that done, he thanks them for a job well done and lets them depart.
