Were one to wander into the area, one would find a rather curious sight. A duo of mall-rats seems to be busy lugging something out of a trailer. An inquisitive mind would find the busy with a few large crates, one of them broken and the contents littered on the floor.
Taking a gander at either rat, one would find them either wearing an obviously fake moustache, more than likely looted from the littered boxes. The dude seems to be wearing handlebars, while the dudette wears a carnie 'stache. Along with that, they wear the normal attire one would expect on them. Cool baggy pants, a large assortiment of jewelry and other bling decorating their entire body and of course, the old-world rockband-influenced shirts on them both. The duo seems to be busy re-filling the broken crate, although that does beg the question. Hard at work, or hardly working?
Zalthar was just out on her daily rounds, searching for useful salvage. As the black beast lands on a nearby rooftop, she notices the boxes and smiles, leaping down like a professional free-runner. Her leathery wings fold up behind her while she strolls over to the two rats before asking "Oy there. Need a hand with those? I've got two free ones right here, more if ya want." Zalthar lets loose a deep, rumbling chuckle before whistling softly to the skies.
As if by some act of God or incredible chance, another citizen walks upon the situation at hand, which happens to be the curvy husky male known by few. Nyo stops at a bit of a distance, seeing a large black dragon hop down from a building. He doesn't recognize her at the moment, so he remains observant where he stands, watching the dragon and the rats. Many questions flood his mind, he just needs to muster up the courage to go out there and ask.
while jogging back toward her homebase, Davina happens upon a crashed trailer. There seems to be activity within as she approaches it with wary eyes. She spies two rats wearing strange but familiar clothing that jogs her memory to the way things were prior to P-day. Her periphiral vision spots a male husky in the distance, seeming aloof to the situation. As she nears the rats, a large dragon becomes evident within the area.
"Oi, Cloe! Seems we're in luck, eh?" the guy calls out to his female accomplice, his paws letting go of the fake red and brown moustaches he was busy stuffing into the crate, jewelry jangling and clinging with every motion he makes. His stride relaxed, laid back and generally just keeping it cool. "How's it hanging, miss, er?" he asks curiously, before his gaze wanders back to the trailer. At the same time, Cloe seems to be scouring the area curiously, leaning against the crate they've been working on. Eventually, her eyes set upon Nyo, offering them a small, toothy grin before gazing towards Zalthar. "Any hands you dudes and dudettes could spare would be greatly apprecated, really." Slowly, their gaze wanders towards the final arrival, which seems to bring a grin to Cloe's moustache-adorned face. "Told you we didn't need to send out a call, Steven.. Just keep it cool, and help will come anyways," she smirks, giving a light knock against the crate besides her. "Got some merchandise we should get to the mall at some point. But well.. This one's all spilled out over the floor, and the others are still up there," she points out, her thumb directed over her shoulder..
Zalthar smiles as two leopards make their way over the rooftops, leaping from ledge to ledge until they jump down to stand next to the dragon "Name's Zalthar, and these are my two teammates, Hitoshi," She gestures to the larger of the two, looking like a lithely built wall, "And Kasumi." This time she indicates a more feminine, sleekly built leopard. After the introductions are over on her part, she expands her wings down to the ground to start sweeping up those mustaches into a pile as she inquires "And who might you two cool rats be? Always interested in meeting fellow mall-goers."
Kasumi speaks up, her voice soft yet strong "Anything that we can do to help? A friend of Zalthar's is a friend of ours." Hitoshi just nods, putting an arm around his sister.
Seeing the grins from one of the rats and an approaching cow, Nyo's worries are slowly eased away, causing him to cautiously make his way towards the group. "Um... to the mall? I-I can help, if it's not for anything bad..." he says timidly, and in a somewhat quiet tone of voice. Looking in the direction the female rat points, he sopts the other crates that have yet to be hoisted out of the trailer. After taking a glance at everyone present, and offering a small wave, he walks towards the trailer itself to get a better look, judging the size and weight of the containers. "I-I cna help you carry..."
Davina grins as she wipes the sweat from her brow. "Hello, I'm Davina, you may call me Dav for short if you wish." She scans the current situation as she comptemplates what the rats intend. "That's awful strange cargo you've found." She reaches down, picking up one of the moustaches. She places the "Fu Manchu moustache on her face as she giggles, "Grasshopper". "I'd be more than willing to lend a hand if you need assistance."
With a grin, Steven twirls his fake moustache, musing a moment as he wanders right on back towards the crate. "My accomplice here would be Cloe.. Myself? Steven's the name, don't wear it out," he states coolly, his long, pink tail dancing around behind him.. "Evil? Nah, man.. Too much work, really. Personally, we'd rather just... Chill." With a curtsy of her own, Chloe goes back to chilling and observe the quint of willing helpers, smiling at the three. "What Steve said.. Being evil's just too much work, yeah. Tried it once, stopped five minutes in." She too glances at the different moustaches, grinning towards Davina as they put on one of the 'staches themselves. "Heh. Careful with that merchandise, miss. Rod'd have our hide if it got damaged.. Well, maybe." Finally, her gaze wanders towards the twin felines, a smirk appearing on her face. "Well, not eating us would be a good start," the rat muses, before nudging her head towards the other crates in the trailer.. "Pretty sure the pretty boy over there could use a paw or two as well, tho. Oh, and if you guys see any 'stache you like, let us know. I'm sure Rod wouldn't mind handing a few out to some friendly dudes and dudettes.. Especially considering the load you're taking off our backs," the two muse.
Zalthar chuckles and nods, depositing about twenty or so 'staches near where they spilled and starts collecting up more. "Why are ya even getting all these moustaches? Guessin someone found a great warehouse just full of them, and figured they could make a profit?" Hitoshi and Kasumi make their way over to Nyo, the smaller leopard offering to help the husky with her box while Hitoshi simply props one up on his shoulder, carrying it over to the rats with ease.
Nyo gets in one more glance at the others, listening to them talk. He can't help a chuckle at Davina's joke, seeming to be one that does minimal talking if he can help it, as he does little more than chuckle. Stacking up two of the crates in the trailer, he tips them towards himself, slips his paws underneath the lower crate, and lifts the both of them up. He only then notices the leopard, shaking his head. "I-it's okay, I've got it..." he assures her, motioning to grab one of the other crates. It's a good thing they're mostly filled with mustaches, right?
Davina musters up as much strength as she can as she motions to the female leopard, "Slide one of those crates my way!" "I should have no problem carrying one." Suddenly, the moustache tickles her nose in a way that ellicts a powerful sneeze, "Aaaaachooooo!" Her eye watering, she wipes her large bovine nose with her arm. "Excuse me, please," Her eyes divert to the rat's cool T-shirts, "I sure would like one of those shirts if ya think you could spare one." "I was a musician once, long ago."
"Well, Rod /did/ tell us to collect cool stuff if we found some. And hey? What's cooler than a 'stache?" Steven notes as he peers back at Zalthar, offering to pick up a few of the things himself. Common courtesy, after all. Not like he really wants to do any work, but hey, being rude's even worse! Suddenly, Cloe perks up, grinning broadly. "Yannow, we're even on time to bring 'Movember back this year," she jokes, tail swaying lightly behind her as she peers at one of the crates. "Steve? How're we going to haul all this stuff back to Rod, anyways? I mean, it's pretty swell we've got a few extra pair of hands, but the're a lot of crates here..."
Moments later, when Davina sneezes and disturbs the relative quiet of five people working hard and two hardly working, Steven perks up. "Gesundheit, miss. As for the shirts? Ask Rod when we're there. I'm sure he'll be more than willing to share a few." A smile adorns his face as he peers at Davina a moment, tail lashing behind him. "Anything chill you played, then?"
Zalthar looks up and around before noticing a dumpster "Well, why not make a giant cart?" she asks, moving to open it up. Frowning slightly, she touches her collar and after glowing an odd shade of violet for a few moments, her form seems to nearly triple in size, huge leather wings powerfully standing to either side. Her arms have also doubled, leaving her with four powerful limbs to carry things, or simply to rip the top off of the dumpster, which she promptly does. Pulling the sides down, she creates a singularly massive container to hold the crates for transport "Would this work guys? I'm sure I could carry most of the crates this way."
Nyo falters as he witnesses Zalthar grow and change, almost dropping the two crates he carries. "W-wow... th-that's impressive..." he stutters, managing to keep his balance. He takes a breath, calming his mind so another scare like that doesn't happen. He still doesn't recognize her, but he might with time. Making his way over towards the rats with the crates, he sets them down at least until they're ready to start moving. "H-how far is the mall from here?"
Davina can't shake the "Maggie Mae lyrics from her head after Steven's mention of the name Rod. Gathering her thoughts back, she exclaims, "This might work!" She looks to the Ashen creature with a discerned peer, "Move the dumpster closer to the trailer. We can just push the crates into it."
Davina She begins to doubt the strnght of the Ashen as she devises an alternative plan. "If this doesn't work, I think Steven and the the Ashen should guard the trailer while the rest of us take as many of the crates as possible back to Rod. Maggie Mae lyrics fill her head again.
Now /there's/ an idea," Steven muses as he puts the final 'stache into the open crate, grinning as he peers at the dumpster. "If you'd be so kind, miss? It'd be greatly appreciated, he admits as he leans back against that crate. Cloe is equally passive, generally observing the happenings. "Don't damage the merchandise, though!" the rat admits again as she peers towards the dumpster and the truck. "Should be about ten to fifteen crates, or so, I believe," she notes merrily. Everything's cool right now, five people helping them and generally doing a wonderful job at it. Slowly, Steven's sight sets on Davina, a raised brow present. "Pretty sure the missus can help us out, but if needed, I s'pose we could. As for the mall? We're in the southeastern quadrant of this fine city. The mall is in the center, as you're probably aware.. It's a bit of a hike, but I'm sure we could take a few breaks along the way.." With a curious gaze, he rumbles through the crate, finding a nice white pair of twirlers. "Oi, dude. Why not take one for the troubles as well?" he notes towards Nyo with a grin, waving the moustache triumphantly in the air before he offers it up to the husky. Nothing wrong with having a bit of fun between moments of chill, is there?
Zalthar pushes the metal container over, having very crudely reshaped it to provide a better carrying space for the crates "I'm cool with anything. Just point me where I need to go, and I'll go." She chuckles and starts loading up the crates, making sure to not use excessive force. Having four arms does come in handy from time to time. Her two friends join in as well. But after three crates, she stops and looks at the dumpster, grinning at an idea.
The ashen cracks her knuckles and, grabbing the side of the dumpster, curls it up and around to provide a sleigh-like handlebar to pull or push it by, easily enough room for four people, if not five. "Oh? What's this?" she grins, pulling out a big, bushy moustache that looks like it's straight off of a mop, covering her lips, chin and running down to the top of her clevage.
Nyo puts his paws on his wide hips, examining the goings on from his spot near the others. "W-well... a-a few of us should carry some with us, I think... n-not all will fit in the dumpster..." he tries, unsure if most will hear him and his quiet self. "L-like if Steven and I carry some... and uhm... h-him, the leopard..." he continues, noting that if Steve carries one, Nyo carries two, and the leopard guy carries another, that's only 11 that needds to fit in the dumpster.

Davina giggles at the husky as she holds out her open palm. She twists her Fu-Manchu, "Grasshopper, you must take these pebbles from my hand before you can become a Shoulin priest." She immediately dumps her joke and begins filling the dumpster with crates, her hopes high that the Ashen can carry out her duties to return the cargo to Rod. Maggie Mae hits her head again..
Cheerfully, Steve pushes the 'stache into Nyo's paw, grinning broadly. "I insist, my friend. Keep it as a gesture of thankfulness," he muses as he points at the crates, then at his own limbs. Davina Puts her back into the dumpster, intent on getting it to it's destination. She also wants to meet Rod... perhaps a cool T-shirt.... ?
Nyo rolls his eyes, but takes the 'stache nonetheless, and pockets it wordlessly. He notices that things seem to be moving along, squatting to pick up the boxes he set down.
