[Main Lobby, Floor 1]: MysteriousDoctor
A once abandoned department store set up as a makeshift lab near the Zephyr corporate building, the inside of this large building has been cleaned, with most the floor cleared of various racks to hold clothing and some other merchandise. A few walls have been made of stacks of heavy rubble around the outside walls to make makeshift partitions, and a portable gas powered generator runs in what used to be a manager's office, providing power for various cameras and recording devices. Some scavenged analyzing equipment and a pair of laptops hooked to it are all behind in that office. The main floor has some matresses laid out (without bedframes or box springs), as well as some set up behind the makeshift partitions, and cameras and a few other recording devices are trained on them... this gives the impression of a cross between a very low budget research lab, and an equally low budget porn studio. Some rugs and blankets have been used to cover the windows, and one of the blankets covers the unlocked door like a curtain, preventing ferals (and others) outside from immediately noticing the light within.

Her left hand is an oversized wolf's paw, complete with large claws and an utter lack of a thumb. A metal spike has been affixed against the palm, covered in lupine engravings. Fresh, wet blood mats the fur, though it doesn't appear to smear against anything she touches.
A set of battered, white ceramic plates are strapped to her body, with some simple leather garments beneath. Together, they form a pretty convincing illusion of modesty while still leaving her free to move in all the ways her body demands. Small patches of frost are occasionally visible on the leather. Her back is dominated by a heavy rucksack, the word "COUNTERWEIGHT" stencilled in black across it. A heavy belt hangs at her hips, carrying both a small notebook and an assortment of small boxes, themselves carrying enough blinking lights and emitting the requisite beeps to mark them as sufficiently advanced technology.

Looking over Lasair, hir body is covered in soft fur. Hir head is avian, with powerful beak that protrudes in a clean curve. Above, feline ears twitch and turn above hir altered face. Hir body is adorned with two large feathery wings that flutter softly. Milk also seems to flow at a soft rate from hir nipples. Sie has 2 hefty breasts. Sie has a kind of warm glow around hir. Hir arms are well muscled and vaguely avian, sporting dangerous claws at the end each digit. Looking over Redd, his body is covered in thousands of gleaming crystalline scales. His head is draconic, with sleek angular edges. A set of crystal-like horns jut from the back of his head, and amethyst eyes stare coolly back at you. His body is rough-hewn yet shapely, as if someone had done their best to chip a lovely feminine figure out of flint. Majestically arrayed behind his back is a pair of wings that look to be made of thousands of tiny prisms, shattering the ambient light into a million dancing rainbows. His arms are frail-looking, sharp-angled limbs, tipped with claws as vicious and deadly as a smashed window in a hurricane. His legs are sleek, digitigrade ones, constantly poised as if to pounce, and tipped with blade-like crystal claws. A sleek, tapered tail, easily as long again as his body, sweeps gracefully back from his rear. A private peek would reveal that he has: He has 2 titanic sharp, faceted penises. He has a wide vagina.
Formerly an Engineering major at university. He wears a tattered set of armor. 
Across his arms and legs, are scattered areas where the crystal pattern is different, reminiscent of two crystals grown together, bits of metal and stone are embedded in the crystal, perhaps this is the closest he has to scar tissue.

She is usually wearing an intricate oriental style kimono of a soft orange color, accenting the silver color of her hair/fur and shapely figure nicely. When it can be seen, as she's often also wearing a labcoat over it, and a pair of goggles atop her head like a headband when not using them.


[Sylvia(#25291)]: It would be a somewhat clear night. It rained a couple of hours ago lightly and stopped, and the moon was full, the wet pavement and walls of buildings glistening in the moonlight outside, the group together just outside the Zephyr building. The power had gone out for a short time, a problem with the generator, and since you were in the lobby you'd been asked to stand outside the door while it was fixed. The power is on again now, but it is a rather beautiful night out and not really cold either, no ferals in sight right now. You do see someone walking down the street though, a man in a slightly dirty white labcoat with a pack on his back. He has a metal cylinder in hand, looking at a display on a pad attached to his wrist, looking like he used a wristwatch as a makeshift mount for the pad. He spots you and approaches... his hair is white in color and cropped short at his neck, possibly cut with a knife, or it could just be he did it himself without a mirror. His face is pale white, whiter than it should be despite being otherwise human, his nose pink. It looks like he might have been partially altered by the nanites to be mouse-like, but not fully changed. He looks to be in his 20s or early 30s or so. As he approaches you can see his hands and fingers are slightly pink tinged, also reminding you somewhat of a mouse.

Balina has been simply leaning against a convenient wall, eyes shut, arms crossed behind her head. Something gets her attention as the plot hook walks past, nose twitching. There's something she can't place, something she hasn't smelled before. Pushing herself forward, she begins to follow from about a dozen yards behind.

Sugarbunny murrs softly to herself, idly rubbing her thighs together while watching the other members of the group with a lustful expression, squirming and presenting herself hopefully with tail lifted at anything more than a casual glance. Her ears perk at the approach of the man and she turns around to peer and him, licking her lips and idly rubbing her breasts.

[Sylvia(#25291)]: The equipment seems designed to analyze something in the air, the rod looking similar to ones the police before P-day used to detect traces of scents even a dog would have difficulty detecting and analyze the exact compositions of said scents. It's been modified, so it may be for something more, but you'd need a good look at the pad to be sure... it's a PDA and so likely has a bit more processing power than that would require as well. From the cylinder size, it could have been made partially from a nanite collector... it may be to analyze nanites in the air and in the bodies of mutants nearby.

Lasair stands there and looks towards the man as shi looks back at hir jeep. "It figures. I get back from a day at the beach, and /now/ it starts raining." shi gives a sigh, dressed in simple swim shorts and a bra with a collar around hir neck. Looking over to Balina, shi says "Brought along a few more to the beach this last time, I need to make beach trips more frequent. The best of things happen."

[Zarlene(#15867)]: Tch. Guard dirty. Not really hir cup of tea, but when it needs to be done it needs to be done. Fortunately Zarlene had multiple tails to wrap hirself in and a thermos of hot coffee. Hir being on guard duty also meant hir bodyguard was on guard duty, which might have something to do with the three headed dragon-winged wolf perched on one of the building's exterior ledges. He's paying more attention to watching for possible feral problems, so doesn't pay the man in a labcoat much concern. Zarlene does stop sipping at hir coffee and cock a curious brow in his direction, though. Hmmm.
Redd is laying on the asphalt in a particularly well lit section of the intersection, possibly dozing, possibly just relaxing... Hard to tell really when he has no eyelids to speak of.

[Sylvia(#25291)]: The man in the lab coat stops fairly close to the group, waving the rod a bit and checking his readout. "Hmmm... hmmm! Interesting..." He looks back up at the four he notices, sticking the rod in a pocket where the handle still sticks out. "Fascinating group you have here... how willing would you be to help me collect some data that might help prove a theory or two I have about the nanites? Nothing painful or dangerous, I promise."

Balina nods to Lasair as she passes, stopping to chat for a moment, while still making frequent glances off towards the departing, wait, approaching lab rat. "Sorry I missed it; guess I was just busy. Then again, I was mostly busy making up for lost time from the last time." A grin decides to show up tonight as she asks, "Any more stupid bets this time?" The stranger gets a skeptical look, and an eventual, "That would make that the dozenth time I've heard that today. Which hypothesis would that be?"

Sugarbunny licks her lips, staring slightly to the side of the rod in the man's pocket and leaning forward, clutching her Redd Plushie to her breasts, presenting her cleavage in hopes that he'll be happy to see her. Zarlene emits a curious sound as shi looks up fully from hir coffee at the man's request, ears perked in curiousity. "And just what sort of 'data' are you looking to collect?" Hir scientific interest is perked... but that's also what makes hir wary of such propositions as well.

You page, "The man's datapad is displaying a list of nanite varieties, and logging their behavior constantly, flagging any unusual behavior for the variety. It also displays a few unknown nanites, and is analyzing and logging what it can of their programming and activity." to Sugarbunny.

Redd stands slowly. He yawns widely before wandering over, his form hunched over on all fours, at least until he gets within a respectable distance, at which point he pushes himself up onto his back legs and speaks to the odd man. "I heard only the last part of that, something about theories, could you repeat?"

[Sugarbunny(#23329)]: The datapad's light reflecting off Sugarbunny's eyes reveals to those nearby a strange sudden rapid twitching from side to side, almost vibrating back and forth in her sockets, as her pupils rapidly snap wide then contract to pinpricks over and over while they sweep over the sight of the datapad. After a moment she blinks and giggles vapidly looking up at the man and giving him her cutest expression. "Ooooooh, pretty lights and colors!"

[Sylvia(#25291)]: He blinks, than just chuckles softly and smiles at Sugar as she moves close and propositions him. "Perhaps soon dear. Perhaps." Then he looks to the others who asked about what he was talking about, speaking to Redd first. "I asked if you would be willing to help me collect some data to help test some theories I have." He looks to the group in general after that. "You may have noticed that, recently, breeding and gestation have slowed down. I've been studying this phenomenom, and the behavior and effects of nanites on breeding and the children produced. My hope is that my theories may lead to a way to reverse the slow down... and possibly control it and adjust the speed and fertility in either direction. To this end however I need to collect data on breeding in a controlled environment, with both ferals and non-ferals. While feral... ahhh... "volunteers" are easy to come by, considering their tendency to try and mate with anything they see, non-ferals have been more difficult to locate, and in addition I need willing subjects who don't mind mating with captured ferals in a controlled environment and allowing me to record and analyze data, as well as take a few blood samples."

Lasair gives a look towards the doctor. "Well, I wouldn't object, but I'm no longer in heat. Already got knocked up a few nights ago by a cute wolf. Non-feral." Shi gives a smile before looking over to Balina. "You?"

[Balina(#5567)]: Balina's interest is indeed piqued. "This is extremely relevant to my interests. I'd be happy to help, but at least some of us already appear to be gestating. I've got my own nice wolf on the way as of a couple of days ago."

Zarlene takes a slow drink of hir coffee and closes the thermos afterwards, tucking it away in some pocket of hir coat. It's hard to see just where under all those tails. "This could be relative to my interests, scientifically..." pause. "... and personally." Considering where most of hir own little horde of helpers has come from. Though not -nearly- as prolific as some present, heh.

Redd turns a deep red as the researcher mentions the tendencies of some ferals to mate with nearly anything, he coughs and sputters a moment, "I ... Erm, I can understand what you mean by needing non-feral volunteers for that reason. Unfortunately my species isn't exactly well known for self restraint either... I'd like to help though, if not as a volunteer, in a professional capacity."

Sugarbunny beams at the man looking like a child told Christmas will come early. "Ohmigod, like making babies is totally my favorite thing in the world!" For those of you not willing to participate directly, I would not mind help with data collection and sorting. I came here from the town I was in because the ferals mostly took over and it was becoming very difficult to find non ferals... my lab assistants succumbed mentally, so I unfortunately ended up making a very hasty getaway. Trying to continue my research has been... difficult, on my own."

Lasair chuckles softly. "I know some sheep ferals who are like, 'Baaaa means yes!'." Shi gives a sly grin before shi nods. "Mmm, then I don't mind helping out. The life within me is too new to be affected by rough matings."

Balina brightens. "I don't think I'm a good baseline, but if you can share your notes, maybe give some sign you've made any progress, I think can help." Reaching into her backpack, she pulls out a tube, tossing it towards the preoccupied sorta-rat, adding, "I've done my own share of studying breeding, but I don't really have much of a clue why it's been slowing down beyond graphing how much."

Balina pages, "The tube contains a shot of Balina's patented parthenogenesis enabler. Its label declares it to be such, with a little cartoon drawing of Balina giving at thumbs-up and saying 'Fuck yourself with science!' The end result of using it is that the user impregnates themselves with themselves, no sex required." to you.

Zarlene's tails wirth about a bit, looping around hir lower legs to remain out of the way. Shi rolls hir eyes a bit at Sugarbunny's overeagerness, murmuring something about giving foxes a bad rep under hir breath, but shrugs it off. Gives hir glasses a nudge back into place on the bridge of hir muzzle. "As xenobiology is one of my specialties, if you're willing to share the results of your data gathering, I may be able to help with the provision of subjects to work with."

Redd nods, "I can easily help with data gathering, although, I'm not sure if I should do much else." His embarrassment over, his body has started to turn back to the transparent clear state it normally occupies.

Sugarbunny beams brightly, sidling up to the man and hugging his arm, burying it in her cleavage. She giggles and rubs up against him. "Yay! Can we go fuck now? Lasair gives a shrug, "She ain't mine. I'd just taze and let go. Catch and release program." as shi moves over to Sugar, "Come on over here, and give the nice man some breathing room."

Balina adjusts her pack, which coincidentally means she shrugs a few times and makes some indeterminate noises. "First I'd seen her, too. Ferals aren't that patient, so I'm guessing she's just a lobby lurker. Harmless, but make sure your belt's on tight." As Lasair deals with the current minor crises, she asks, "So where are you set up? I'm pretty sure you're not from around here, but has Z set you up with anything yet?"

Zarlene rolls hir eyes slightly at the inquiry as Lasair tries to drag the vixen off the scientist. "Hell if I know. Or particularly care. As long as she's eager to help. Some mutations are just very... open minded."

Redd looks at the man for a few minutes, "Where did you say you were from again? And what exactly brought you here of all places?" He thinks a moment, "Also, could we get your name, per chance?"

Sugarbunny stiffens, her face goes blank and her eyes suddenly dilate. Her voice emerges in a monotone. "Checking diagnostics...... Accessing nanite neural subnet..... Diagnostics clear. Zero feral contamination detected at this time. Project Sugarbunny operating at full design specifications." She blinks and giggles, cuddling closer to the man, her disturbingly blank face instead taking on the distinctly different air-headed blankness it usually holds. "Silly! I'm not a feral! Besides, Mister Mousey hasn't said to stop touching! Hehe." She looks up at the man and licks her lips. "Do you want to breed with Sugarbunny too? Not just have her fuck ferals?"

[Sylvia(#25291)]: He looks mildly amused at Sugarbunny, then listens to her monologue with intense interest, staring intensly at her as her attitude and dialogue change, then change back. "Fascinating... perhaps something to study more at some point in the future. But perhaps after data collection is finished I might play a little with you... business before pleasure however... though the two seem to be the same thing for you at the moment." He looks back to the others. "Regardless she seems friendly and non-harmful, so I'm not concerned over her affection. If anything, a nonferal acting in such a way may provide psychological data that could have uses in other studies if allowed to run its course, so I will simply take note of her behavior and indulge her as far as I may and still collect the data I need to for the project at hand efficiently." He scratches behind her ears as he continues. "To answer your questions, my name is Dr. Balistus William, though my lab assistants seemed to find it amusing to refer to me as "Dr. Willy" before they started degenerating too far to be more help than hinderance in my studies. I'm from a research lab in Clearspring, a town a ways northeast of here... I came here once I was unable to find any more non-ferals in the area and my lab assitants succumbed to the nanites and became feral. I've set up the equipment I managed to salvage in a department store I've repurposed to serve as a lab for the time being."

Lasair looks at Sugarbunny and just sighs before leaving her be. Lasair dosn't say much at the moment, as shi rests hir hands along hir rear, adopting an informal parade rest. 

[Balina(#5567)]: "And not Dr Ball? Nerds to the end, I guess," Balina snickers. "It's getting late, so unless you have something else you came here to do, we should probably get moving." Her backpack is jostled again as the wolfcow shuffles her feet in place; standing still doesn't agree with her when there's something important to do.

Zarlene raises eyebrows at Sugarbunny's change in demeanor, then change back. How bizarre. Someone managed to actually program a mutation, or.. hard to tell with nanites. "Concurred," shi merely agrees with Balina for the moment. "As the power is back on and the weather let up, technically our stationing here is over with for the time being anyways."

[Redd(#24988)]: "Nice to meet you then, Doctor. What's the doctorate in, anyhow?" Redd drops back down to all fours as he speaks, seemingly without thinking about it. "Oh, and what's the address for that store?"

Sugarbunny nods rapidly in agreement with Balina's sentiment, absently reaching down and rubbing between her legs. "I can't wait to start helping! Yay! I'm gonna be a science-y person!" She looks up at Dr. Willy with a wide eyed expression. "Does being a doctor mean you have to give me an 'injection'? Hehe. I can't wait to get where you wanna take us!"

[Sylvia(#25291)]: Dr. Willy looks mildly amused again. "Soon enough my dear, soon enough. The department store is at *names a street intersection a block or two away*. My doctorate is in genetics. And yes... it would be a good idea to get moving now." He turns to start walking, lightly placing the arm Sugar seems to have become attached to around her as he walks.

Lasair follows on after the doctor, hir tail in the air a bit, moving along as hir hips swing a bit from side to side. Hir hands at hir sides as shi looks about towards the others shi dosn't know.

Zarlene withdraws hir thermos from hir labcoat and takes a gulp from it, putting it away afterwards. Then tucks both paws into the pockets as well as she follows. Trying to not snicker too much at 'Dr. Willy' as a nickname. Hir tails sway about behind hir, but for the most part shi's as impassive as usual.

Balina follows along, falling in beside and just behind the doctor, nose twitching. After a couple of blocks, she pulls out her comm, sending word back to her daughters about the detour.

Redd follows the group at a short distance, asking the occasional question about the doctor's research before P-day.

[Sylvia(#25291)]: When you reach the building, he opens the doors and holds the "curtain" aside for the others to enter. Some of the ferals he has captured for study are behind some of the partitions, thoroughly restrained and with sex toys buzzing away inside them to keep them from getting too antsy about escaping to seek contact while he's away. He moves to the manager's office to turn power on to the cameras and other sensor equipment.
