Washed in from Out of Town

A call was sent out to those in the employ of Zephyr with co-ordinates to the location. Upon arriving there it can be seen that the area is fairly unremarkable, the crossroads of a city street. A dusty intersection that is strangely barren as if the ferals fear to tread into the fading light. Nothing out of the ordinary is seen aside from the wear and tear the city has endured- crumbling concrete and twisted wrecks of cars and other debris from the battles fought in the streets.

Redd approaches slowly on foot, his body gleaming from the sun's setting rays. He looks around, as if waiting for something, or someone, to approach.

Liana hops from roof to roof, her wings buzzing to aid the occasional longer distance, able to move quicker and avoid most ferals in this way. Reaching the meeting place, she crouches at the corner of the roof she's on, before gently gliding to the street, her arm-blades unfolded, but not up threateningly. "Evening, Redd...Glad more than just me answered the call..."

Shuffling slowly in, Kushivi's head whips in every direction and paranoia gleams in his eyes. He clutches his laser pistol in a two-handed grip and jumps slightly when he notices the others nearby. A bead of nervous sweat forming on his brow, "Uh, yeah, I responded to the call. Either of you have any clue what's going on?"

Skylar comes walking normally into the intersection, hopping over debris and broken cars as if they were simple hurdles in a race, checking her map from time to time to see if this is the right place, she soon spots Liana, Kushivi and Redd, not sure how to greet them, doing a polite nod to both as she approaches them. "So...this is the place?" She anxiously asks.

Alane walks carefully in, trying not to attract much attention of ferals in the area, till she finally spots some persons who seem to be the others who got called. "So this is the meeting point?" the blonde says, mustering everyone of the group.

Liana flicks her tail side to side, frowning slightly at Kushivi's tight grip on his weapon. "Relax...there’s plenty of us here...no need to break the poor pistol. Just come join us here, rather than standing near those ominous alleyways..." She looks to the other two newcomers, giving a soft smile and nod of her head to each, slowly keeping an eye out around the area...

Kushivi's grip on his pistol relaxes slightly, though the edge of slightly overwhelmed paranoia lingers in his eyes. "Uh, yeah, sure." Grimacing and shaking his head to clear it he wanders over to the others.

Skylar looks around for any animal tracks or signs, like smell or any stain, thinking that the 'barren' look of this place is clearly unusual.

The wind picks up a little, the scent of something stale and musty being picked up for those with noses accustomed to such. Not an uncommon thing, but the scent is strange for the city. Something from beyond the usual scents, its smell foreign.

Liana doesn’t seem to react in the slightest to the odd scent, her reptilian snout rather lacking in detection. "So anyone know just what it is we're after here...?"

Alane doesnt notice the smell either and shakes her head at Liana. "At least I have not the slightest clue... just noticed the call and curiosity has driven me here. I actually hoped to get some kind of full briefing here..." she says with an little sigh.

Kushivi shakes his head in denial, his nose crinkling up as he smells something odd on the air. "Anyone smell that?"

Alane blinks at Kushivi. "It wasn’t me!"

Liana quirks her head. "No...what's it smell like to you? Any idea if the source is close?"

Skylar crouches, looking curiously at the ground. "Hey...look at this..." She points to some thin marks on the ground, like the mark of the strike of a thin blade. She gets closer to smell the marks and quickly notes. "It smells just like whatever is in the wind...and...acid?"

Alane goes closer to the marks which Skylar noticed and looks at them. "So you mean someone or something had an fight here and is still close?" she asks, eyeing Skylar curious.

The wind kicks up, a gentle howl soon carrying the smell of sulfur and a furious roar. A roar quickly interrupted by the sound of something sharp, silencing it before its culmination. The day is cloudy, and as a result the dusk is darker, a brief purple light can be seen in the distance, the phantom fading almost as quickly as it arrived.

Kushivi's fingers tighten around his pistol again, any progress at relaxing totally shot, "Eheh... eheh... acid claws? You gotta be fuckin' kiddin' me... aww hell, roaring is even worse..." Kushivi moves further toward the back of the group.

Liana's blades snap fully upright, a little arc of electricity darting from the fin of her tail from one side to the other as she whirls to face the direction the light came from. "There! Let's go before it gets away!" A tiny shudder goes through the body of Alane as she hears the whole... which suddenly stops and spots the light in the far. "I... I so serious hope, that the acid claw mutant was the one which got silenced right now... " she gulps and takes some steps back. "After you, pleaaaasse!" she says to the group with an sweet smile.

Skylar looks at Alane, clearly anxious. "I...uh, I don't think it really matters now...anyone knows how to defend against acid...? Also, what was that purple light?"

Liana chuckles softly. "Try not and get hit...as for acid and claws...it may have been one of those mutated hydras...no clue what the light could mean though." She starts to head toward the direction the light came from, looking back after a few steps to see if anyone else is coming...

Skylar follows behind Liana in a sprint. "Wait wait, you sure you want to separate yourself from the group and rush after it?" She says looking slightly desperate at Liana. "We could try setting traps or something...wait until it comes back..."

Kushivi quickly hurries after Skylar, desperate not to be left last in the formation. "Don't leave me here, for the love of God, slow down!" Kushivi huffs and puffs as he tries to catch up, wheezing heavily. "Goddamnit people, I just spent two years bunkered in my folks's basement with nothing but... oh hell." His eyes widen as he catches sight of the creature ahead of them.

Alane says low and mroe to herself "holy sh..." she eyes the sillhouette closely. Frightened she stays still, still.

Skylar seizes up as she sees the weird creature. "What...the...listen...we don't know what the hell that is, nor what those purple things aroun it are...we...need to retreat and see what it does...let's try finding an entrance to a building or something..." She says already looking around for possible escape routes.

Liana speaks slowly, not moving. "You forget the place and times we live in...for all we know, this being isn't hostile....So let's give it a chance..."

Alane raises an brow, with an sarcastic voice she says to Liana "Do you want to head over, introduce yourself and invite that.... thing... to a cup of tea?" Slowly she takes a few steps back.

Kushivi stares flatly at Liana. "Ever since coming out of my hole in the ground, everything other than Zephyr company employees or allies has tried to either hurt me or rape me, so forgive me if I'm not to eager to lose my life or my virginity at the moment."

Skylar nods...feeling a bit of an ass for not thinking such possibility. "She's right...it might be docile, hang on you guys." She steps in front of the group and tries starting a conversation with the creature.

Alane gulps slightly and says to Kushivi "Well in horror movies it was the virgin who always survived... wasnt it?" The being stands still, and as the group approaches closer, its armour seems to be of eastern origin, the being resembling a samurai of old, though something is off. The spheres hover beside its head, two orbs above and behind each shoulder, seeming to be gently flickering torches. A face plate seems to be covering whatever face it may have. Standing as still as stone, it seems patient, if mocking of their hesitancy despite no words being present. As Skylar approaches, it turns its attention to her expectantly, a hand swiftly going to the blade strapped to its side, gripping the katana. Still, it makes no move aside from this.

Kushivi mumbles to Skylar, "Can it even speak? Seems to be one of the better dividing lines for whether or not it's nutso-crazy, or possibly willing to not eat me, from my limited experiences."

Skylar squawks, "Excuse me...sorry if we're bothering you. We received a report about some weird happenings around here, we were wondering if you knew about something?"

Alane her hand moves to her Laser pistol as she sees the Samurai putting the hand on the grip of his sword. Quickly her head moves around, searching for a car wreck or some debris which she might use as cover.

Liana nods slowly, slowly, smoothly moving to stand an arms reach from Skyler, ready to interfere if she's attacked. "He...she? seems to be sentient, and understand that we are talking...perhaps it's a language barrier...?" she murmers softly to the group...

Kushivi raises his laser pistol, his arms shaking like a leaf. "Come on buddy, let go of the big sharp thing. Don't make this an issue." He grits his teeth and mutters to himself under his breath. "Like a cop movie, man, like a cop movie. Don't freak out, you can shoot it if it attacks... just keep confident man."

Skylar turns to Kushivi seeing him pull up his laser pistol. "What the hell are you doing?!"

The lanturns seem to flare for a brief moment, illuminating the creature. Despite the definate make of its armour, it seems to be made of natural things. Shell, Wood, leather, cloth, bamboo. "Thou stands before me. Thou has a moment to ready oneself. We speak with blade, and through blade may we mark our words." it says, the deadly glint of silver as it draws its weapon and points it at Skylar, the blade then pointing to Kushivi. "If thoust interfears with a bout, it is with my sincerest apologies that thou shalst be slain where they stand." it warns. Its voice seems to come from the weapon rather than the being itself.

Liana grimaces, looking over to Skylar. "Would you like me to take your place in this challange, or are you comfy with this...?"

Kushivi grimaces, "Yeah, nice talking there. Hence the pistol."

Alane mumbles low, "I never was a fan of eastern cultural stuff..." as she eyes the speaking sword. "Could it be that the armor is just there and the actual .... thing... is the lights or the sword?" she asks the group.

Kushivi mutters out of the side of his mouth at Alane, "If the old greenback meant a damn thing anymore, I'd bet you five bucks that we'd be best off just shooting the damn thing until it stops moving."

Skylar stalls for a moment, trying to see if there's any weak point where it would be easier to separate the sword from the main body. She then talks in a low voice, trying to only be heard by her colleagues. "Ok, so clearly that sword is the 'source' of this thing's power...maybe the light as Alane said, I'm short and I had training in gymnastics at college so here's the plan...I keep it busy by evading it, if you guys notice a weak point or anything, go for it, I hope that those balls are just for show and can't actually attack us...also, does anyone have a glass plate or something made of glass I can use to protect myself?"

Skylar squawks, "Oh and if it comes after you guys, separate yourselves, if it only has melee capabilities we can 'kite' it around."

Skylar squawks, "Otherwise...take cover?"

Kushivi turns to stare at Skylar in disbelief, "You're actually gonna mix it up in close with... Shit!" His trembling finger tightens a hair too much around the trigger of his pistol and it goes off.

Alane says, "Doesnt horrormovies also aways start with the... lets seperate and run alone from the scarry big monster, so it can take one by one easily out?"

Liana shakes her head softly, before looking up. "Good sir...What are the terms of this battle? First blood, until submission, or to the death?"

The being is mostly natural, though on closer inspection the sword seems fused to the hand that grasps it. It seems to be patient, and upon the laser firing, the blade flashes in the air, the burst of light deflected as the creature flicks its wrist, and the blade finds its way back within the sheath. Then it's gone. No trace of the creature for a few moments until the familiar sharp sound is heard as the car that

Kushivi had taken cover behind is cleft clean in two with a brief flash of silver, the familiar pang of the hilt meeting sheath again resounding through the streets.

Liana leaps foreward, running near Kush. "That was a warning! I don't think it's going to kill you, but it just most definatly showed it was capable...I've never seen something move that fast, even with mind tricks like that. She looks at the care carefully, examining the metal where it was cut...

Alane says low "Is.. is it gone?" as the creature suddenly disappears, but as she suddenly hears the sharp sound she shrieks loudly for a moment. The blonde only can see how the car got split in half. Gulping she withdraws her hand from the holster of her gun. "What the hell!" she exclaims loudly as she stares with disbelief at the car. "Ok... I think... but only think... that we better not piss that guy off anymore... or attack it at all..."

Skylar keeps her eyes wide open, locked on the samurai thing. "What do you mean with mind tricks, how do we stop it from slicing us in half before we see it? And do you guys agree with my plan?"

Kushivi's head slowly swivels to look at the cleanly sheared vehicle behind him and he goes white as a sheet. He stumbles backwards and falls to the ground before trying to scramble away from his prior position. "Oh God! It was an accident! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Don't kill me!"

The car is split, and one can smell the faint acidic smell. "Thou has initiated combat. Talk of many fighting one. Your honour is lacking." it says, its voice perhaps a little high and garbled as one gets a better sounding, and would perhaps smell a little like fish and snails of some sort. A few more gleaming flashes as the being once again draws its sword, carving smooth lines into the pavement, just barely missing Kushivi's feet before it swings aroung in a wide arc, aiming for Liana. "Fight! The time for words is gone! We speak and sing with blade!"

Liana yelps at the sudden change in direction, ducking under the swing, skittering close then back out as she aims to hamstring the large figure with an arm-blade!

Skylar tries scavenging around for papers, a bat or something similar, something to keep all this toghether and maybe something that can start a fire, maybe she can use someone's laser pistol for that? "Keep evading it Liana, we'll try to find a way to stop it!"

Kushivi screams in panic, a suspicious wet spot appearing on the front of his trousers. He lifts his pistol, no apparent target save for the creature's general direction, as his eyes go wide enough to see their whites. He begins firing from his backward prone position. Like a high pitched litany he keeps chanting over and over, "NOT GONNA DIE, NOT GONNA DIE, OH GODS, NOT GONNA DIE!"

Alane mutters a low "crap crap crap!" as the samurai attacks Liana. Swiftly she pulls her laser pistol from her holster and aims with deadly accuracy at the purble light orbs. Losing her confidence she exclaims loudly "KILL IT KILL IT KILLIT!" to the group as she starts to shoot, in her voice lingers fear.

Balina comes bounding along on all four legs, the icewolf arriving just in time to... see a beach samurai challenge a few agents she doesn't recognize. She stops a safe distance away, head cocked and watching.

Liana manages to duck under the swing, though its footwork is deft, the creature hopping over her own swipe as it dances around to her flank, going between the mantis and the trigger happy laser boy, spiralling in place as it advances towards Alane with a determined march, the bullets whizzing by the orbs. Eventually one is struck, and a choking purple smoke quickly engulfes the place as the cloud billows outwards, concealing the creature as the mist rapidly spreads, the could glowing faintly as if lit by ethereal flame. Skylar sprints towards Kushivi, pointing at his laser gun and at the bat full of papers smooshed toghether on its tip. "Either give me that gun or shoot point blank in the tip of this bat to light it up, try not to shoot me if you can." She angrily says as she presents the bat's tip to Kushivi.

Liana scowls at the sudden billowing cloud, her right arm pointing out, before a thin nozzle on a deceptivly small arm device lets loose a startlingly large and fierce torrent of toxic and highly acidic chemicals, aiming directly for the heart of the incoming cloud! Besides some of her shots, an "EEEEEEPPPP!!" is the only thing which comes from Alane. Screaming in fear she just tries to spray her gun at the orbs till she eventually has hit one. She seems to calm down abit as she noticed that something happened... till she noticed that her enemie now just disappears in a huge cloud of yellow dust. Freaking out again she starts to shoot into that cloud while she slowly walks backwards.

Kushivi blinks suddenly, Skylar's voice snapping him out of his freakout. He shakes his head before sniffing the air and blinking. A quick frown creases his brow before his face lights up. "Actually, move that bat a bit..." He grabs the bat and shifts it in place with the laser pistol pressed against the ball of papers at the tip, angled at where the gasoline is pooling under the car. A slightly crazed gleam lights his eyes and he grins toothily. "Everything's better with explosions." He says as he pulls the trigger. You see, this is why Balinawolves stay back for a moment. There are now so many chemicals in the air, nobody even knows who or what anything anywhere is! Someone's going to end up on medic duty in a few minutes, and Balina volunteers by virtue of staying back. She's still about 20 yards away from the mess, and hopefully not downwind.

The caustic torrent of acid vanishes into the cloud of purple smoke and something bad seems to happen, the air suddently flaring with warmth as it turns orange and practically explodes outwards, a thick heavy mist spreading along the ground. Relatively harmless, though it does manage to conceal the firing long enough as bullets from Alane's gun whizz past Liana, one of them catching her side, and other her arm. The Samurai is also not unharmed as a loud spack rings out through the air as it penetrates shell, a soft goey splat soon after. The bat that Skylar wields is now aflame as the burst of light ignites the makeshift torch and the remianing fuel. It is sprinting, every so often flickering out of existance and back in again before another sharp sound rings through the air, and a spattering of crimson lingers in the air as the blade bites through Kushivi, a wide gash across his torso.

Kushivi screams, dropping his gun and clutching at his wound while curling into a ball, cursing loudly. He scrambles in a panic for his medkit and attempts to use it to treat his injury.

Skylar tries hitting the samurai in the legs with the burning bat after it strikes Kushivi.

Liana cries out in surprise and pain as Alana's bullets strike her, eyes shutting a brief moment, her nanites mending her just enough to move her joints correctly, before lunging at the seamurai, leaping in front of the flashing blades. Wincing, knowing this has a good chance of hurting if aimed wrong, she swings her left arm-scythe to intercept one of the Seamurai's vicious swings from the side. As the blades touch, a bright flash of electricity arcs along her tail, through her body, and down her arm, pouring into the half parried blade with enough power to kill the average horse on the spot, and cause her own arm blade to lightly glow with heat where they blades contact. This, being part of her body, and not an external weapon, is -quite- painful. Weather the blade is conductive or not though, or how effective this is, remains to be seen, and the flying lunge will leave her fully open to a counterattack.

Balina finally, *finally* sees something she can do. Darting down from her perch, she rushes to Kushivi's side. Sitting down nearby, bringing her bag to something approaching the mostly-human's level, she mutters something about 'pouches in the front; take one and call me in the morning', then lets off a loud, piercing howl towards their assailant. Alane stops filling the air with lead and calms down again as she noticed that the samurai prefers an less triggerhappy target. A little relived sigh escapes her lips... till she notices that she has hit Liana. "Oh damn SORRY!" she screams out to her. Afraid to hit her or anyone again in the fight, she only aims her gun at the samurai but doesnt pull the trigger.... just waiting for a good moment, a moment which makes sure that she doesnt hit anyone but the samurai.

The creature is assailed on multiple fronts, its blade quickly moving to block the bat with the rear of the blade, only to be parried by Liana, the surge of elecriticity and dull thud of bat meeting leg, the being almost immediately catching fire, electricity not seeming to have much effect, though the smell of cooking fish can perhaps be detected so it may have had some impact, the being quivering in place. It laughs. A laugh of pure amusement, something that only seems to grow more hearty as Balina nears and howls. "I did not expect such valour! Well played warriors! My travels have not been in vain!" it exclaims, the being once again flickering in place, the group of people battered by a torrent of cuts lashing out on everybody save for Alane, and soon after the metal clinking of sheathing blade signalling the new location of the beast. Off to the side, facing the rest. The flames seem to have died down, but there is goo leaking from the earlier bullet wound, and it seems to favour one leg over the other.

Liana lands with a thud from the self destructive parry, grunting as she's then hit with several shallow, but painful, cuts, her right arm blade charred at the middle, and left arm weak from the bullet wound. Standing, she pants for breath lightly, her wounds very slowly mending themselves. Still, she offers an almost arrogant smirk to the likewise injured blade user. "I don't suppose you'd be willing to call this a draw, and talk this out over some riceballs...?"

Skylar ignores the pain of the wound, runs into a straight line at the Seamurai, doing a soccer (not american football!) tackle on his good leg, she tries to hit him in his burned leg with her burning bat again, using the speed of the tackle to get distance from the Seamurai after she passes through it if her attack is not blocked.

Kushivi's eyes dilate as he sees the onrushing Seamurai, and with a shriek he flings his medkit at it in hopes of blocking it's line of sight for an instant. He rolls to his side, grasping for his pistol as his eyes clench closed. He continues his roll, further opening his wounds. His eyes fly open at the surge of pain and his hand snaps up in a motion memorized from years of first person shooters, aimed at the hand holding the Seamurai's sword. "Ain't no fucking respawns here! Pull the trigger and pray for a natch 20, baby." He grits his teeth and fires.

Balina fails to feel a hand on her back. Instead, the idiot starts spouting gamer cliches! Muttering something under her breath about newbies, the icewolf decides to be a bit more active, and begins circling to the sword side of this mysterious, anachronistic mutant, reading for a pounce as soon as the path is clear.

After the Seamurai disappeared, Alane kept looking at the other ones to make sure that no one is mortally wounded from the cuts. After that she turns around to the sound of the weaponsheat and she again spots the samurai. Carefully she levers her gun and aims for the head of it. The doubts in her still linger in her head as she aims at the Seamurai, so she takes extra long for an precise shot... till the right moment was there. Balina is close and Sky distracts him aswell... 'he shouldnt be able to ward of all attacks at once!' she thinks and pulls the trigger of the gun once again.

The creature seems to regard Liana for a moment, and seems just about to speak before the others begin surging towards him. It reacts quickly, but not fast enough, the creature leaping into the air as its katana carves through the bat, though not before sustaning a solid hit to the foot. While airborn it twists towards the medkit, slicing the thing in half before it raises its other arm to protect itself from the laser blast, and a spray and crack of cooked shell, leather, and fabric rains down from the ruins of its left arm, the wisps of light finally moving from its shoulders as one streaks towards Kishivi and explodes, a nasty burn searing his flesh. Still twisting. Still spinning. A flash of light followed by a sickening crack. It had just split Alane's bullet in two, however such efforts yielded a wound to each shoulder as the remains pierce shell. Still better than being shot in the face. It lands more or less on the ground, struggling for a moment before falling to its knees, balancing upon its blade. Despite the samurai look it seems to be more like a slug underneath its armour. A hearty laugh. "I tell that the battle ends only when one is unable to stand! Alas, the battle ends! Glorious it was, and thus I concede. You have fought well warriors!" it says, a hacking cough escaping the seamurai soon after.

Balina tsks in disappointment. So much for riding to the rescue. Ducking behind some standard-issue street rubble, she emerges much closer to person-shaped, backpack unslung and held in her good hand. Balina moos, "Okay, who the hell is still dumb enough to keep fighting while wounded out here?"

Liana allows the pain to catch up now, lowering herself to one knee as she focuses on having her nanites repair her wounds, the bullets popping out onto the ground, and the cuts starting to mend..." Well fought, warrior...though I do have to ask, what the hell was all that about?"

Kushivi grins sheepishly while holding a hand to his bloody chest. He sets his pistol down nearby and nervously raises his hand. "That'd be me. That was stupid enough to keep fighting. While wounded. Ouch." He winces as his adrenaline rush and general shock begins wearing off, and the pain starts flooding back in. Skylar grunts as she gets up from the ground, taking the dust off the back off her pants and fluttering her wings to also clean them slightly. She finally feels her wound and curves herself a bit while letting out a tiny grunt. "...Yeah...why go around challenging people in the middle of the street like this...? Even if you didn't kill them they could still get mauled by ferals on their way back..." She sighs and looks worried at Kushivi, noticing his set of mutations. "Hey, newbie! Are you still alive?" Alane walks faster towards to Liana. "Are you alright?... And sorry for the shots... didnt meant too..." she says with an worried voice, biting lightly on her lips. In case Liana is fine she checks out the other members and checks if they are alright... while still listening to the answers of the Seamurai.

Kushivi grits his teeth and nods silently at Skylar. For his suicidal tendencies, and slightly for stupid jokes in the heat of battle, Kushivi gets hit full in the chest as Balina tosses a high velocity milk packet at him.

The being offers a small laugh and a shrug. "Because I travel to fight those who are strong. By testing strength through conflict one grows! Though I prefer singular combat. T'was my intent." it explains. "The ones who passed through earlier. All weak and unworthy. Disarmed they were! Unaware of their surroundings they were!"

Skylar sighs. "So...how can they become strong if you disarm them and throw em' at the beasts? It's not honorable to fight people who don't want to get into fights, you're just a bully..."

Liana shakes her head softly. "Most those you found are mindless beasts, only guided by instinct...and those that are not are fighting to survive in a hostile area. But your strong...I'm sure we could find someone that could emply your strength against dangerous, ill-intentioned foes...."

Balina regards the downed seamurai slug with a level of feigned disinterest. "What the hell *did* I walk in on, anyway?"

Another laugh. "Well, I can assure they were guarded. The streets are clean yes?" it says, gesturing around. It seems to be recovering at a steady rate, even its armour mending. Though the same cannot be said for the other bits that comprise its form, most of it appearing to be scavanged material. "I challanged thee individuals to singular combat, though they attacked en masse. An amusing diversion, and well played! There is strength to be found in many." it says to Balina, clearly quite amused. It looks to Liana and shakes its head. "Alas I must refute the offer, for I still have a ways to go. Perfect my art and travel on, thou I shalst return or linger longer mayhaps."

Skylar holds the closing wound with one of her clawed hands. "Zephyr told us to como investigate this place...something ~fishy~ was happening here, we came, saw marks on the ground like an acid blade had cut it, then this guy appears and challenged us-well me...to combat...then we all piled on on him..." She says not very proud of the last part. She then turns to the Seamurai. "Ugh...fighting isn't an art, we do it because we need to to survive...try letting people accept the duel before at-" She then remembers that they started the whole thing by accident. "Uh...do you just go dueling anyone or do you stop if they deny it?"

Liana crosses her arms, mostly healed herself, save for the bullet hole in her vest, and rips along it from the sword. "A shame...Though if you wish to fight the truly strong, while not appearing to be a villain, make your challange an option...there is no honor in defeating one that has no fighting skills. Should you ever need a place to rest or settle, look into Zephyr...Just try not to kill -too- many of the employees..."

That gets a snigger out of the wolfcow. "Now I just regret showing up alone. Or at least on time. There is nothing one can do that three can't do better."

The being shakes its head. "Alas I have not killed any but the beasts. Too little to waste. They live, they grow strong, they fight again." it says, then hilting its katana as it rises to its feet. "War is art, as is the fight. The song of the blade as potent as others. Art how your soul speaks!" it practically sings. "Some paint. Some build. Some use the graceful flow of steel." Skylar actually feels a little inspired by the Seamurai and thinks of getting a sword when she returns to Zephyr. "Uh...I see...that teleporting thing you did before cutting the car wasn't bad..." She smirks. "So people...mission complete I guess...?"

Balina coughs. "What were the *precise* orders from Zephyr, again? Came in late, remember?"

Alane says, "Well... seems so... but I seriously never would have expected that..." she says, while her eyes give only a tiny hint what she means with 'that'

Kushivi shifts uncomfortably and glances at Balina, "Between the alternating bouts of pain and mind numbing terror, I can't really remember." He grimaces slightly and sighs.

Liana shakes her head softly. "simple as "hey, go look here, somethins making a path of destructiong and heading that way". No backup, no info, thats it.

Kushivi mutters under his breath, "This shit was so much cooler in the movies than living it. Go investigate my ass."

Skylar nods at Liana. "Yeah, basically that...can you walk...newbie?" She asks Kushivi and then notices she didn't introduce herself after all. "Uhm, I'm Skylar by the way."

The being tilts its head as it observes the people and then offers a wave. "Well friends, I shalt possibly see you all again at some other point. Mayhaps I linger here to test warriors. Mayhaps I make a tournament. Shall see i will. Check this Zephyr and see." it babbles, the being vanishing out of sight much as it had before.

Kushivi slowly rises to his feet and gathers his dropped supplies. "So is this investigation wrapped up yet?" His furrowed brow and brooding expression betray his dawning comprehension of the realities of his new life. He blinks for a moment then glances at Skylar and manages a shaky smile. "Uh, cool meeting you. Kushivi. Me, that is."

Balina moos, "We are not getting paid for this."

Alane smiles at Skylar and Kushivi, "Alane the name, nice to know now the names of the ones who were about to die with me." she says with an tiny smirk.

Liana nods to Kushivi, moving to help him gather his supplies. "yeah...we succeded...thats pretty much how things happen in this twisted world. You alright...? You got gashed pretty bad."

Balina tips a hat that doesn't actually exist. "Balina, by the way. Usually better in groups, but such is life."

Skylar groans at Balina as the Seamurai disappears. "Yeah...I know...can't win them all...sooo...who was the one that started opening fire when the mist blinded us?" She says trying to seem calm, but her face clearly a bit pissed off.

Kushivi shakes his head and sighs, "I'm not alright, but the gash isn't that bad. Had experience doing triage as an RN before all this shit happened, I can patch myself up. God this world is fucked up though. It's hard to believe everything's gone insane like this. I guess... I just need some time to figure things out." He reaches up with one hand and scrubs it across his face. "See you guys in the future hopefully?" He offers a pensive smile.

Balina seems to already be juggling a pouch in her spare hand, waiting for anyone else who dares claim to be injured.

Liana turns to Skylar, nodding as she fingers the hole in her vest from the bullet.

Alane raises her hand sheepishly. "I think that would be me... at least I fired at one of his light bubbles... and clouded the area with it..." she says, pouting shyly. "I'm actually still suprised that I got out without an scratch...."

Skylar waves Kushivi off. "Take care, newbie..." She then looks at the holes in Liana and at Alane, putting her hand over her eyes for a second. "Zephyr really needs to invest in training..." She chuckles as she notices Balina just gave a bottle of milk to Kushivi. "You know...it's kind of evil to not tell him what that was Balina...he's going to freak out when he does..."

Alane exclaims pouting, "Hey! I still have hit that slug thingy and wounded it!"

Liana grumbles, but nods lightly. "True...just...try to think before shooting...had it been, say, anyone without healing nanites you hit, things could have been very bad..."

Balina shrugs, grinning. "The first one to the chest should have been a good hint. I'd be more interested to see how he reacts when it's still cold eight hours from now. 'Sides, it's got my name on the side. Hard to really cover it up." As she talks, yet another one is dug out; someone is overly prepared tonight. "I've got dozens of these things, if you'll believe it. Nobody else got hurt? Really?"

Alane says meekly, "Things would probatly went worse if I wouldnt have hit his chest once..." to defend herself.

Skylar sighs...putting her hands on her hips. "Just...don't fire blindly into places where your allies might be." She then turns to Balina. "I'm alright, just a scratch on the arm."

Liana chuckles at the sight of milk-maid Balina, before giving a salute to the group. "I'm going to go get cleaned up...I can heal fast, but regeneration wont stop an infection from filth or burns. Take care, and try not to die in the meantime." With that, she leaps up to the roof with a buzzing of wings, then hops roof to roof northward.

Balina stops tossing the pouch momentarily, considering her next move. With a shrug, she puts it away, and slings the bag back onto her back.

Skylar squawks, "Well...guess I'll head over to Zephyr and report what happened..."
