Outside

Along 2nd Street is the former pride of the city, King's Department Store. Well known for it's high fashion and cafe providing a good view of the city, King's seems to be a mere shadow of it's former glory. The large building along the north side of the street reads 'K-ng' the s on the end having long been used as a Frisbee by ferals. Still, the clear glass windows have been replaced with iron bars, as the occasional feral can be seen from outside. Some things on two legs, some on four, and some just on one long coiling body. It is rare to see the doors to King's open, but there is rumor that it has happened once or twice.

Reception

Just past the iron bars that have replaced the windows is the reception area. Marble statues have long since been neglected with ivy and vines long having taken over and starting to destroy them. Once in awhile one of the ferals sits near the security station up front, but it seems like it's more for the view of outside rather then any sign of higher intelligence. There are signs showing the way to the elevator and stairs with a map and directory of the store, while another big sign shows all sorts of happy looking fruit leading off to the north.

Grocery

This place looks to have been rather well stocked at one point or another, but now it's nothing more then thousands of various canned goods. There are piles of bones here and there, little bloody stains, but in general anything that could have easily been eaten has long since became tasty chow. In one corner past the worst of the debris is signs of a feral with higher intelligence. The cans mutilated in attempts to get them open, with only a few of them looking to have actually managed it. Likely whatever opened these is king in King's.

Fashion

A mecca of fashion stands here, or at least the temple dedicated to it. There are racks and racks of clothes to be found, a year filled with silk and lace and wool. Most of the area is dedicated to spring fashion, the last big fashion wave before things went downhill. Towards the corner is a bin marked 'special', although they look perfectly good, they must have not met the spring standards of fashion. Forever immortalized as a year out of date. Towards the south are big stairs leading down to the reception, and up towards the Jewelery department, the elevator long having been defaced. Towards the north is a sign saying 'Floral Department', and by the looks of it, it's become a jungle in there.

Floral

What was once amazing arrangements of flowers for customers has now become an infected jungle. The flora have taken over the heating system and are thriving with living plants and tentacles quickly taking the ferals who come close. While most of the rest of the building looks pretty trashed, the large lack of other infected have kept what little floor can be seen as relatively clean. The flowers do seem to be following sources of body heat, with the longer one stays in here, the more attention they might get.

Jewelery

Leading off the third floor of King's is the Jewelery department. This place was looted of most of the more shiny things, but the rare ring or necklace can still be found. There are glass shards everywhere on the ground, no one having cleaned up as made this place as a barren wasteland that is for the most part ignored, the foot prints seen going upstairs towards the Cafe, with only a few long coiling lengths of snakes going towards the back, 'Banking Department'/

Banking

King's at one point had it's own bank and credit card company. The vault sealed and the combination forgotten, only adventurers and some of the smarter ferals seem to come up here. There are a few dead ferals that are found about, likely ones who were commanded to open the vault or else, and the else happened. Because of the way the place was setup, the banking area is relatively clean, some ivy starting to grow in the sunlight provided by a few windows to the outside, but for the most part, just as barren as the Jewelery Department.

Cafe

At the top of King's is the cafe, a french cafe with a new menu every week from the best kitchens in the world. Where the third floor may have been spared from too much debris, the cafe has everything knocked over and trashed. What would have once looked simply amazing, is now a trash heap with a view of the city. There's a door off to the side that is locked and simply says 'Managers Office'.
