T'was just past six in the post-apocalyptic hellscape that was Fairhaven. The place of mind and body alike, where procreation ran as rampant as those deemed feral and beyond hope by the powers that be. In this kaleidoscopic nightmare of sexual fluids and burning passions, what little reason remained was slowly, but surely, making its advance. Reclaiming the future however lied with the generations to come, extended lifespans or not. Those born into this perverted shade of past civilization knew not the joys of childhood, rather are given the reigns of a fully-grown adult body in an unfathomably short span of time.

More often than not, where the flesh leads, the mind will follow, but today four kind souls would hope to secure at least some information, scraps perhaps even, from the souce deemed most unlikely. "Here we are!" Magnus would announce as he gestures towards the large gateway leading into the Fairhaven Municipal School. Here, where young minds are given a chance to develop at least somewhat naturally. "I have a short bit of time reserved for us come the final period in lecture hall A-115. Which iiiiiisss... that one." his finger rises to sharply point towards one of the doors.

As they neared, the sounds of rambunctious young mutants is clearly audible, eager to end their daily lessons such that they might return to what the youthful did best. "Alright, I'll stand out here, you folks just go in, and listen to the teacher. Your job? Just take a youngling or two and conduct a short questionnaire. We are interested in their experiences growing up, if you will. What they felt, what kind of changes they underwent, how their memories came about, what it's like through their eyes." He'd then glance towards Khaybat, recalling she was mute. "Uhhh, I am not sure how you will handle this Khay, but to behave?"

Borneo had decided to arrive in a rather large form as a labrador in the nude barring a bowtie at his neck, thought somewhat surprised himself he turned out to be the largest amongst the group of adults, resolving to stay on all fours until he was able to find a seat to sit in. Raising a forepaw, he asks with a pleasantly soft voice, "Can I handle three if I gave myself three heads? Just curious."

Khaybat is already here! Cause she just loves following Magnus around like a puppy. Which is a lot more funny when she's actually in one of her canine forms. The yerf's tail swishes behind her as she waits for the others to arrive, excitedly waving from one side to the other.

Kyu may usually spend her time in hospitals, manning emergency rooms and tending to less severe patients when no one's been horribly mauled and nearly killed. But hearing about this opportunity to go do something making use of her people skills instead of her healing skills brought her here! As such, she arrives, clutching a clipboard to her flat chest and wearing a doctors jacket that seems to give off the scent of rut to those that can recognize it... It's totally just the jacket though. Definitely. Though as she walks there is an awkward wobble to her, and she's hardly the fastest walker. She'd take note of the instructions, rather literally as she moves the clipboard from her chest, and nod. "Sounds easy enough! I'm prepared for just about anything."

"I don't know, Borneo." Magnus snickers "This isn't my forte, but you've been around for longer than I. Just do what seems best for you. You'll be fine, you're loads of fun." He'd then direct his attention to Kyuketsuki. "Excellent! Remember, we're here for only a little while. You are representing the greater Fairhaven officials. These young minds will remember what you do and tell them, which will ultimately gain or cost the big three followers. We don't want any blunders! Now then..."

*knock knock knock* The fennec knocks thrice on the door leading into the lecture hall. Moments pass before a sweet looking husky woman opens up and smiles softly. "Are you here to see the class?" is what she asks, to which Magnus nods and flashes both his smile, and his comm unit with the arrangements made in text format on its display. Opening the door widely, the lady, gestures for everyone to enter.

Those that do will witness an expansive room, filled with mutants of roughly similar sizes, at least thirty of them in fact! Some would be scribbling in their notebooks, while others would be chatting left and right with their desk buddies. Still others in the front would look engrossed in their lesson while those at the back would literally be doing anything else than pay attention in class.

The wooden floor creaks beneath their feet as they walk in, their husky guide gesturing towards several seats placed just at the center of the chamber, before the desk, where they were in plain view of the other mutants. "Alright, everyone! Please quiet down now! Quiet! Qu-ARNOLD!" she'd suddenly bark out, very loudly in fact! "Don't make me get over there!" For a husky, this woman had a lot of force behind her voice, didn't she? Once the room had quieted down for the most part. She'd smile at the group and nod, their queue to present their cause for being here.

Immediately however, the teacher's pet seems to raise her hand and sound off, an otter girl of all things, her eyes a piercing blue and her fur a chocolate brown that were unmistakable. Dressed in her school uniform much like the rest of the class, covered by a white shirt and blue jeans, she'd direct her question at the one most standing out among them. Borneo. "You're here for the Research project, right? I have my thoughts already written down here if you-ACK!" the girl reaches back to the nape of her neck and reveals... someone had pelted her with a spitball. Despite this however, everyone looked innocent. Now... maybe someone saw who'd done it~

Borneo pads in behind Magnus while remaining on all fours, looking almost no different from a normal, generally very happy, giant dog if not for the barely visible halo over his head, as the sight of the class of thirty wells up a sense of joy that causes him to pant lightly with a lolling tongue out of excitement. The teacher's bark somewhat startles him, but while she isn't looking at the group, he makes a hilariously overexaggerated expression of surprise behind her back if only for the young'uns to have something to laugh at - which he immediately stops after a split second so that he doesn't risk her turning back to see him being goofy.

He withdraws his tongue and closes his maw shut as the attention from the otter makes his ears comically flop, whom he listens to attentively until that spitball hits her. From that moment, his expression changes from endearing to neutral as he turns his head and stares directly at the gray feline at the third row, the one lacking a notebook. "I can see you may like that girl, but never do that again in front of this many adults," he says with a slight smile of his own. "Please stand, sir. I will let the class know who you are so you can proclaim your love to that sweetheart of your's." With raise of a forepaw, he makes use of his illusion nanomagic to materialize a marker of sorts hovering over the offender, shining a bright yellow and shaped like a fleur-de-lis.

Khaybat is kind of the comic relief of the group! She notices where the spitball came from however and ends up peering at the kitty responsible before blowing a raspberry at him. Kitties are cute after all!

Kyu would enter being happy as could be and standing tall and proud... And wobbly when she walks. She holds an air of professionalism and really looks the part of someone official, as opposed to the others. She'd take a look around the room at all the mutants. The cue to give their reasoning resulted in Kyu visably inhaling to speak, only to completely and politely stop to let the otter speak instead. Maintaining polite eye contact until wham! Ambush spitball from nowhere! Kyu was surprised by this act, but looking up and seeing all the innocent faces-oh Borneo found them, and seems to have that under control. Kyu would let him handle this and watching to see how the feline reacts to getting called out.

"Excuse me!" Magnus raises his hand. "Mrs. Kovacheva?" The husky snaps her eyes over towards Magnus and blinks a few times. "How did you... oh, wait. Oh!" The fox giggles softly and nods. "I was in your class, miss. For a brief whileanyway, elementary through advanced mathematics before I was sent off to Clairmont. We can catch up later if that's okay. Right now, I was wondering if I could pull out Liam and Lilly over there." his nose bobs towards a pair of idential talakai.

The husky smiles warmly and shakes her head. "I am sorry, no... the students are under my protection, Maggie you've not grown any but you look so different!" The fox pauses for a moment while Borneo works his magic, a laugh parting his lips while the class starts to giggle and chuckle at the feline's expense. The poor gray-furred fellow however sinks in his seat and looks as though he is desperately trying to turn invisible, muttering something about nerds under his breath. The otter meanwhile, poor young lady was no better looking, taking a few nudges and mocking laughs as well on her way up to hand her notebook to the first person she nears, which happens to be Khaybat! "H-here..." Her glance passes over Borneo. "He's a jerk, i-it's fine, please..." Gosh, one could practically see the red under her cheeks.

"OKAY! QUIET EVERYONE!" Barks Mrs. Kovacheva once more. "Those who will help our guests achieve their goals, please approach and answer any and all questions they might have respectfully. The rest of you, either keep quiet or you'll be sweeping the class floors today. I hope I was clear." her paw strikes the desk, a stern look on her face driving the point home. At her request, five young mutants approach, a lamb with a fleece as white as snow, a husky male with an oddly rust-colored pelt, a parrot girl with more colors to her than one can list out, a feline girl with a pelt of gold, and lastly a doe girl with a traditional brown and white spotted pelt. She is the one to speak up first, glancing between the three interviewers. "Okay, so... where do we start?" she'd ask~

Magnus meanwhile pokes the teacher once more, and explains something to her. "Oh... OH! They're yours? Okay. Yes, in that case. LIAM! LILLY!" she'd call out, then hook a thumb to send the two talakai out of the room, both seemingly quite happy to leave through the door with Magnus just behind them. Her business done, the husky returns her attention to the ongoing interview.

Borneo shoots a mischevious smile at the feline before giving a much kinder one and a nod to the young lass, waiting for everyone to calm down before his expression softens back to the pleasantly warm smile from before, tail wagging behind him as he takes care to position himself somewhere where his admittedly large frame wouldn't accidentally send an entire table flying across the room. "You two," he says softly as he raises a forepaw and points his...index finger? Digit? -WHICHEVER- at the husky male and parrot girl. "I'd like to be your interviewer. You are free to bring your seats if needed, nobody will hear your answers but me." He gives them a playful wink, though considering he just used illusion nanomagic, the other adults - or at least Magnus - may already figure he intent to mute any sound from reaching the rest of the kids as to avoid any further potential teasing.

Kyu would wait to see which the others want to take, before giving a friendly gesture towards the feline girl and the lamb. "I'd like to interview you two, if you don't mind me being your interviewer." Would be the professional but friendly statement. Leading them to the table and already jotting a few things down on her clipboard as she takes her seat, slightly frustrated at her own unbalanced-looking walk in front of so many... Not that she can help it right now. Once seated, she'd look up to make sure they sat down on the other side as well, crossing one leg over the other. If not she'd smile and gesture towards the seats.

The husky and parrot girl respectively approach Borneo and take their seats nearby, the canine of the two scratching his chin while the birdie, bless her soul regards her interviewer with sparkling eyes. She listens closely with rapt attention, almost looking ready to consume every word that parted his mouth. Meanwhile, the feline and the lamb both too make their way to the opposite end of the table of Kiyu's place, and lean back in their seats. The last student meanwhile simply takes a seat, and starts chatting up a friend. The time for questions, it was now~

Borneo is rather slow to realize the scents in the room; the fact he hadn't done so earlier was befuddling even for him in hindsight. Before anything else, he shoots a telepathic message to each of the other volunteers - a simple [Sorry] - before waving a paw, easing everyone's potential lust as he activates his SUCK nanomagic with the two adult K's feeling the majority of the effects. With a soft whine, he gives a direly apologetic look to the husky and the parrot before turning his gaze to the teacher. "Miss, I'm afraid this cannot be held confidential." His eyes turn to Khaybat and Kyu briefly before nodding his head towards them, implying something if the madam can smell their more...'provocative' scents. "Sorry, kids," he says with a sheepish smile. "I'll make it up to you later with a magic show if anyone teases about your answers." Turning his attention to the last student, he gives a hefty ruff over to their direction. "You there, young doe," he calls out. "I'll answer your questions too. Come on over." Waiting for the last and his third interviewee to join, he starts off with perhaps the easiest to answer: "What was it like growing up for you three? Please answer one at a time, it may help you get to know each other if you learn how your classmates live their lives outside of the school."

Kyu would give a nod to the two, pen prepped and to double-up, left eye lighting up with a subtle, but not at all trying to be a secret, blue glow. Though it would flicker off for a moment as Kyu replies in her own telepathy [No need for being sorry. If anyone should apologize it should be me.] Then the light flicks back on as she begins, "Well, let's start off with, tell me about yourselves. What was it like growing up? Any details you feel are relavent go right ahead and add in. If it is something you feel embarrased about, just tell me and I can make it so only I hear it. No need to worry about others hearing."

The husky would lean forward and start to speak. "The same it was for anyone else these days. You don't even know when it happens. It just does. For me I don't even remember being anything other than what I am right now. Sure, back then everything was hella' confusing, but you know..." he'd waggle a hand and purse his lips. "Kinda sorts itself out." Then does the doe interject. "Sort itself out, I wish. I was stumbling over my legs for weeks. It felt so awkward for the longest while... and all the cravings, oh! Do NOT get me started on the food craze." Then immediately does the parrot girl chyme out. "My brothers and sisters were very loud, I remember. My parents had more offspring after I hatched, they would not stop chirping and singing... mostly... chirping, or... um, crying." she'd flash a nervous smile. "It's the kind of compulsion that's difficult to control at first, but then it sort of gets a lot easier to control. My little brother had a terrible habit of plucking his own arm feathers. It was gross."

The ewe meanwhile crosses her arms and thinks for a moment. "You ever had one of those scenarios where you think you've gone through an entire week, or a month or god knows how long and then BOOM!" she slams her hands into the table "You wake up, and realize it was all a dream. All of a sudden nothing you know is real, and you find yourself in this... strange body. It's all a learning curve from there. That was me, basically. Mom and pop spent a good bit raising me on their own, yeah. But in the end I had to put my foot down and enroll somewhere. Ain't no life being homeschooled." Her words earn a soft giggle from the feline to her side. She opens her cute muzzle, and explains. "Riiiiight, well... little miss freedom here aside. I actually grew up in Cat Town. Most of it was just naps though. Looots and lots of naps. I still get sleepy around two in the afternoon, honestly. I never really knew a time before... well, this." she'd gesture to all of her own feline body "But honestly I am kinda glad that I don't. It makes things much easier for me."

Borneo chuckles as he listens attentively to their stories with the occasional nod, receiving individual answers that he felt actually answered some of the other questions he had to ask, though differently for each child. "I see. Well, later on in life you'll have many options, and things as they are now at this point in your lives will come across as days to cherish." He bends a forepaw at himself as he explains, not caring that the other kids in the classroom could hear him. "Take me, for example. I was born as a three-foot fennec with /wings/, and learning just to keep them folded to fit through doors or small places I normally could only do when I didn't have them was a total mess. Flying wasn't a breeze either, my parents panicked whenever I hit a wall. Eventually, things got a lot better, and I can't say that homeschooling was particularly enjoyable either; at the least, my parents were certified teachers before this era." He giggles softly, waving his paw at the trio. "But that's going too far off-topic. I'd gladly tell you another day, if your teacher will let me come in as a guest speaker. Onto the next question!" He clears his throat, trying to retain a sense of the professional atmosphere amidst his lighthearted nature. "Did you ever have memories that...you felt weren't your's, per se, but were familiar nonetheless? Like, did you remember how to open a door or some experiences that your maternal parent had during your sleep or were they simply there?"

Kyu would listen with her foxy ears perked and swiveled to point right at her, and give a small giggle at the vivid description of just waking up into this life so suddenly. Mirroring the feline's own giggle. Taking notes on her clipboard as she does and then listens to the feline girl's testimony. Nodding happily. "I've been to Cat Town. Lovely place. But I shouldn't get distracted. I'm sure you've learned some about nanites and know some things about how they work and what they do. Do you think the nanites affected you as you were growing up? Did you experience any pain, emotional or physical? Did you understand the pain as well at the time?"

The parrot, the husky and the doe exchange glances, but only the husky among them speaks up. "Yes, but... those are private." The three not in unison and cast Borneo an apologetic glance. "Kinda, just... not right to talk about, you know?" the vibrant-feathered one adds and rubs her beak, while the doe among them shrugs deeply. "For me it mostly came as innate knowledge of some things, but yeah. I'd rather not say. Sorry."

On Kyuketsuki's end, there was a whole lot of head shaking to be seen. "I don't remember, so I don't think so." Answers the feline as she casts her classmate a glance. The ewe nods along and explains "I never really felt bad in my body if that is what you mean, anything else... I guess I just don't have something to compare it to. Maybe if..."

She is sharply cut off once the school bell sounds off in the hallway, signaling the end of the schoolday. The teacher in the room is the first to loudly cease all noise with a strike to the desk, halting the rush of students that were quite eager to go home. "Everyone, in an orderly manner now." she'd demand "Archer, I expect you to have your homework ready tomorrow or I am going to slap such a big, red F on your report card that your parents will feel it." She'd threaten, earning a meek glance from a white-feathered dove in the far end of the room.

Once the room empties out, the husky dismisses their interviewed students as well, and turns her attention to the Borneo, Khaybat and Kyuketsuki. "I am afraid that is all the time I could set aside for you today. I am not allowed to hold the students up for any reason other than an emergency situation. Did you get what you needed?" She'd ask as she readies her things, and the key to lock up the room behind them on the way out~

Borneo gives an understanding nod to the kids, smiling warmly. "Perfectly reasonable. It helps to know that you had those memories at all; I won't pry any further on the subject." The sound of the bell makes Borneo freeze up and shiver with a faint whine in discomfort, apparent either he has really good hearing or isn't used to that noise. Waving off the interviewees with a "Have a great day, kids," he walks out before everyone else if only so that he isn't in anyone's walkway, giving a nod to the instructor husky as he drops the SUCK as soon as the kids are out of range with a sigh. "If only someone else had SUCK nanomagic, it would've made things so much easier for us in keeping all of that confidential," he huffs softly before going into a daze, taking a moment to write down everything he had heard word for word into a notepad file on his NICE then turning his head to Magnus. "I'll send you a copy of everything through a text file on your comm, just to be safe. Is there anything else needed?"

Kyu would be caught off guard by the sudden bell. Already?! But she'd quickly smile and nod to the two students she was questioning. "Thank you both for your time. Have a wonderful rest of your day~!" Would be what she chimes as she waves and watches them go. Finishing up her notes. As the teacher begins to prepare to leave, Kyu would go over her notes and seem a little disappointed, but at the same time, smile and nod to the teacher. "Yes. This should be... Enough. Maybe." Kyu would say, honestly unsure, but pretty sure this could work. Though the mention of SUCK nanomagic does make her sigh. "I do have the nanomagic but I was hoping I could blame the smell on my coat and not be prodded further."
