(Willy) It was a calm cold day at in Fairhaven, as agents went along their days and Zephyr went about their buisness. Part of their buisness included improving on the City, to which the commissioner of the department quietly sat at his desk. The Pangolin sighed at little as he sat there, and patiently looked at the door. He knew he had put a bulliten out for help with the hotel, and he hoped there would be enough to complete the job.
(Junes) walking in from the northern sidewalk Junes walks in wearing a casual black hoodie/jean outfit and walks to the spot double checking if its correct
(Fenris) Fenris swaggers into the office look for all the world like the most stereotypical construction worker imaginable, in a shabby wife beater and grungy jeans with a heavy tool belt.

"Reporting for duty, boss," he grins, flexing a burly arm, "You bring the ammo, I've got the guns!"
(Willy) The Pangolin smiles and then looks a bit perplexed when he hears Fenris'
(Willy) ...s comment about his "guns" before shaking his head and flicking his tounge as he regathers himself. "Umm...yes that would be helpful with this..." he says, before also nodding to Junes. "If you two could take up a chair, I will give it a couple more moments to see if anyone else will arrive and then I will get into the task" he says.
(Junes) shrugging junes decides to sit on the ground "im pretty good with organization and i guess lifting if that helps"
(Fenris) Fenris snags himself a chair and spins it around to sit on it backward. "So, we're fixing up the old Hotel Oblivion?" he asks, leaning forward on the backrest, "Seems like a big job, what with the place being overrun by ferals like it is."
(Willy) Seeing Junes deciding to sit on the ground when there is ample chairs makes him shrug a bit, before he hears Fenris' question. "Ah no...that place is...far too choatic for such a project" he says "However, over the past couple months, Zephyr has been working on the rehabilitation of an old Hotel structure that is located near the Curvy Gym and the Sloppy Seconds Buffet, and we have reached the point that the building is structually sound enough to move to inside work." he says pausing for a second and looking twoards the doors. "This is where you guys come in. We are sending a team of craftsman to work on rehabilitating and renovating the interior of the building, in hopes of returning it to operation, and I will be asking you to lead this project. As part of it, you will be tasked with getting a read of what is inside, what needs to be done, and to help support renovation of the property as needed. Are you up for this task?" he asks as he flicks his tounge agian.
(Junes) hearing fenris mention hotel oblivion junes eyebrows raise but after hearing the current job they respond "oh sounds easy enough though id be lying if renovating the other hotel wouldnt be interesting but this is definitely the better option"
(Fenris) Fenris frowns in thought and steeples his chubby fingers. "Do I get a clip board?" he asks, "I can do almost anything given a clipboard and a crowd of gullible people."
(Bleu) *knock-knock-knock* There's a knock at the door, and then it swings open. "Yo." A satyr walks in. "Yo guys. I heard you need money for something. Willy, Fen. Other person."
(Willy) The commissioner chuckles to Fenris "I don't know if people will be available for such but we should be able to get your a clipboard from the reply" he says as he relaxes a little, before with a tounge flip, he smiles as he sees Bleu comes into the room. "Ah hello, I don't think that we will need money per say, but if you can lead the team that is doing the improvements and point the way with supplies I think you will do well." he says, before looking back to the door. "Well I think this may be all we get. Is there any questions before you are dismissed?"
(Fenris) Fenris shakes his head and looks like the jaded, world wise construction worker he is not. "Sure thing, boss!" he says, "We got it all under control!"

After all, how hard can construction and interior design be?"
(Junes) remembering a trick they have they "oh right fen! it may not be permanent but i could give you" and appearing in tiny wisps a small pencil and puny clipboard appear "it doesnt last long but if you need a quick thing i could make a thing" directing their attention to the manager they mention "i dont have any questions for now so i think im good"
(Bleu) Bleu nods his head. "You may not need money for the renovation, but you'll need money for the decorations, hah. And I'm prepared to offer a sizable sum of freecred in order to furnish whatever site it is you're renovating."
(Willy) Willy The Pangolin nods to Bleu hearing the comment "I'll make sure to get contacts to you and we can see what we can setup." he says before looking to everyone. "If that is all then, then you are good to go. Go down to the lobby and speak to John the Arctic Fox thats with the group meeting down there, and then head to the location noted and get to it." he says, before looking back down to his notes as he awaits them to leave.
(Junes) Junes gets up from the ground and walks down to find John
(Fenris) Fenris gives a lazy little salute and hops up from his chair, spinning it back around to show the sweat mark he has left behind on the plastic. He is really going out of his way for this dirty construction trope he is leaning on. "You got it, boss!" he says, swaggering out of the room to see what he can learn from this John character before heading to the site.
(Bleu) Bleu does finger-guns at the pangolin, then he saunters out after the others. "Well, I tell ya, it sure is nice to be flush with cred, eh?"
(Willy) Once the group has met with John, they are given a bigger heads up on the situation and are guided out to the site. Arriving at the location, they find a 4 story hotel in front of them that looks like its seen better days, but it has been patched to the point it of looking stable and ready, with good front doors. Entering inside, they find themselves within the Hotel's lobby, which looks like an expected after Z-Day mess. Tables and chairs and various thing as strewn over the floor, and there are some rather ugly stains on the walls. Even so it looks like the desk itself has survived the carnage as a computer monitor sits idily on the counter. Looking about, they would also see what looks like a metal hotel directory on the wall.
(Junes) looking at the mess Junes figures to get started on brushing aeay debris and diligently brushing out various stains with surprising success!
(Fenris) Fenris saunters through the debris, clip board in hand. A real one that he acquired on the way.

"The imaginary one was nice," he explains to June, "But not much good for taking actual notes."

He scribbles on his clipped paper, boting the need for debris removal and the importation of newer, classier debris. "Ugh," he grunts, "We're gonna have to pull all the carpet and half the drywall to get this place livable." The burly tanuki wanders to the computer and checks to see if the thing has power.
(Bleu) Bleu makes a grimace as he enters the wrecked lobby. "You know why they call this place "Hotel Oblivion," right?" he wonders aloud, to no one in particular. "According to rumor, Ground Zero, the spot where the first nanite outbreak in Faihaven happened, was literally somewhere in or near this hotel. Some say it was an attack. Nobody knows the truth." As he talks, he's taking stock of the mess. "I scavenged here years ago. Doesn't look much different from back then..."
(Willy) As Junes diligently worked and used her Prestidigitation abilities, she is able to straighten up the lobby without much trouble and in time makes it into at least presentable shape.

Meanwhile, Fenris upon finding the computer, finds that it seems to be without power, the outlet looking like its damaged, but he thinks he can jerry rig something. Attaching a Mako battery with a little help from Junes. He is able to get it to boot up. As the tone of Windows Vista chimes as the computer boosts up, the computer asks for a password. Fenris smiles and after a couple minutes is able to figure out the admin password, and logs the computer in.

Once in, the Tanuki sees various system and databases for the hotel, detailing various things that were occuring as events occured on Z-Day.
(Junes) Junes smirks when that beautiful windows background appears and even though curious about the past and what it holds decides to wait for later to learn more and props up chars near the walls and generally away from other furniture to try and clean up under them and make the place more cleared up "so does anyone have a radio we can listen to?"
(Fenris) Fenris sticks out his tongue at the computer. "Ugh, Vista," he groans, "Microsoft's greatest crime."

He gives the compy's files a cursory glance, then gets back to work. "Let's see what else we got," he says, setting out to explore, "Since they say the place isn't going to fall down on us."
(Bleu) Bleu laughs. "Pretty sure Vista is what caused the world to end," he jokes. He looks at all the ruined furniture. "I think it'll take about 1,500 freecred to replace all the wreck furniture."
(Willy) looking over the files and records, Fenris would find what looks like a general case of what would of been for the day, though there are several warnings of people who never checked out, and a report that the mechanical lock system for the room doors is offline. As he begins to step away from the desk, he also spots a large stand of keycards sitting under the table, which various ones are missing, especially several of the keys to the rooms on the 3rd floor. Meanwhile, Junes continues to work on the room, and they and Bleu spots the metal Hotel directory. On it, they see the current list of featured places to the hotel: "Lobby, Conference Center, Room #-#" there are also various greyed out areas, which they expect are worker areas of the hotel.
(Junes) while placing chairs upright Junes hollers over "so what kinda stuff is on the computer anyways?" and hile awaiting an answer summons a tiny magnifying glass looking at the ceiling
(Fenris) Fenris helps himself to the keycards, stuffing them in a belt pouch and taking note of both the missing cards and the noted, unvacated tennants. "You guys just keep up the good work!" he calls out, heading for the stairs, "I gotta go check some... uh... construction stuff? on the third floor. Computer says there might be some... uh.... blockage."
(Bleu) Bleu harrumps, and checks the computer for himself. "Blockage, you say?" He's not terribly gullible. He squints at the screen. "Woof. 14 years worth of overdue room charges add up to $3,567.89. Flyin' fuck. And look at that room service charge, too. Somebody REALLY liked Lobster Thermidor..."
(Willy) As Fenris climbs the stairs to the third floor, he finds something intreguing as he opens the door. Down the hall beside one of the rooms there stands what looks to be an old housekeeping cart. Stepping up and looking closer, he notices that the door is barred to stay ajar, and so are the doors to several rooms further down. Looking over the info, Bleu doesn't really find any new info on the system that Fenris had already found, and noticies the keycards in the stand on the shelf.
(Junes) seeing the floor cleared of debris Junes head off to search a closet and eventually finds a vacuum and proceeds to wheel it over and after connecting it to the battery starts to vacuum up some dirt and smaller debris that would have been a pain grabbing by hand earlier
(Fenris) Fenris saunters down the hallway to stop by the housekeeping cart, out of sight from the gap in the door. The burly tanuki ponders for a moment, trying to decide how best to advance.

He concentrates for a momentand there is a flutter of leaves. Once they clear, Fenris is wearing a stereotypical French maid outfit!

He pushes the cart down the hall and stops at the first door standing ajar and knocks gently. "Housekeeping," he calls in a light falsetto, "I am here to clean ze room!"
(Bleu) Bleu looks at the screen a few moments more, but aside from gawking at the astronomical overdue charges each remaining resident has managed to accrue since P-Day, he learns nothing new. So, instead. he calls up a furniture maker he knows to talk about furnishing the hotel at his expense.
(Willy) Searching the staff area, Junes is able to find a Hospitality closed and finds themselves a vacuum. Junes however also finds that the hallway to the Kitchens is a utter mess with shelving fallen over and blocking pathways and shattered glasses and other items scattered all over the floor.

As Fenris calls out, he hears a gasp from within the room, and some sound of clattering before stuff goes back quiet as before. He swears he hears something also from further down the hall.

Back at the bottom floor, Bleu is able to contact without much problem and starts detailing whats needed.
(Junes) finishing up the vacuum job Junes then surveys the room and sees its definitely in better condition and decides to move on to that ramshackle kitchen and tidy that up and proceeds to scan the room and note down what needs working on
(Fenris) Fenris gently knocks again and pushes the door open, entering the room. "I ope tou are not ze naughty, wicked ferals I am hearing about!" The burly tanuki saches into the room and looks around, waving a duster he plucked from the cleaning cart. "Listen," he says in his normal voice, I really hope someone is in here, because I really hope I did not put on that show for nothing."
(Bleu) Bleu converses with his friend on his comm device. "Yeah, it's a big job. Possibly the whole building. Definitely the first floor. The lobby alone will cost up to 2,000 freecred. You up for it? Oh, and look into getting a newer computer terminal from Zephyr. Not RSX. This is Zephyr contract. They can afford to ante up for all the electronics..."
(Willy) Upon Opening the door, Fenris sees a female Marbled Fox standing in the room, and suddenly hears her scream before beginning to throw random trash at him in what seems to be a bit of fear, as the sounds of other doors in the hall begin to open. Bleu hears the scream from the floors below. Meanwhile with an almost supermutant strength, Junes is able to lift and straighten up the shelves, letting them clear the path to the kitchen and with a little sweeping, is able to get down to it. Reaching the kitchens, the place is as much a choatic mess as the lobby before, with various pots, pans and plates scattered all over the place. There is also the sign that at least one of the Ovens might have exploded. Sniffing the air the Bunny would also get the smell of long rotten food that lays stenched in the air.
(Junes) as they sweep junes hears a muffled yell and quickly uses the comms to ask if Fenris is alright and awaits to see if he is in danger or has a grasp on the situation at hand to continue cleaning
(Fenris) There is a poof of construction site scented smoke, (you know what I am talking about) and he is back in his grungy construction gear. "Hey!" he cries, dodging thrown garbage, "Knock it off, lady! It was a joke! Sheesh!" He triggers his comms and broadcasts an all clear. He isn't really in danger, after all. "You and your friends live here?" he continues out loud to the frightened fox, "I just want to talk!"
(Bleu) Bleu had been following Junes into the kitchen area, and as he does, his sensitive satyr schnozz had started to detect the rank scent of long-decayed food. The closer he gets, the stronger the odor. It's almost gag-inducing. He types on his comm device a request for a Zephyr Hazmat team to come down to help clean out the freezer and pantry, all but certain both rooms are in need of biological containment till they can be *thoroughly* decontaminated. While he's typing away, he hears...a lady's scream? "Fen, you alright?" he radios. "Need backup?" But the question is answered a minute later when the tanuki sends all-clear message.
(Willy) Junes works their best to tidy up the Kitchens to the best they can, getting it into a least some sembelance of order. However they can tell that the task will take more than some cleaning as several appliances will need to be replaced and some of the piping has failed in the 14 years this place has set. Up on the third floor, the Marbled Fox stops and looks at Fenris confused "What you..you're not..." she says, before falls to the floor, as Fenris feels the presence of several others in the now open door behind him, though not seeming to be threatening.
(Junes) "yeah im not touching that fridge, oh but yeah bleu could you get those cabinets? i sort of cant reach them" and Junes continues to diligently scrub tiles, countertops and sweeping bit by bit and they swipe a bit of dust off their pantlegs after getting the urge to sneeze more than once after all this dust
(Fenris) "Not housekeeping," he says with a smile, keeping his hands down and relaxed at his sides, "And the swooning is a little dramatic, but I can appreciate a little drama." He steps clear of the door and allows the others to enter, but he still does his best to keep his back to the wall. "You folks been holed up in here for a while?" he asks, motioning them in to check on their fainted friend. The burly tanuki has even affected a Bronc accent with his grimy getup. What a ham.
(Bleu) Bleu makes a face. "I'm pretty sure whatever was in the fridge has long since gained sentience and an intense desire to destroy humanity." He looks around, then grabs something to check the cabinets, afraid of what he might find.
(Willy) Fenris sees that the group is much like the woman in the room comprised of all Marbled Foxes, of various sexes and shapes. Coming to her aid and helping her, one of the other looks to Fenris to address them. "Yes, we've been here for some time. Shes our Mother, who as I recall used to work here before as she told me everything happened." they say, as the woman rises up and recovers. Meanwhile in the Kitchens, the Cabinets creak and squeak from their aged hinges, bbut Bleu finds it mostly tidy, as what staples within them are still largely canned, all be it showing some rather gastly shapes from age, knowing that they definitly are going to take a one way trip to the trash dump. Clean up seems to be straight forward from here for them both, which leaves them knowing there is one other area to check, the Conference Center.
(Junes) finishing up the few other odds and ends Junes turns to Bleu "alright this place is good enough so im gonna head to that other spot, i think a sign said convention center?" and after putting the cleaning supplies away decides to head on over to the next area
(Bleu) Bleu inspects the canned foods, and sets aside whatever look good enough. Ignoring their 14-year-old expiration dates, of course. The rest that look too far gone, he disposes of completely. He ponders the big industrial fridge for a moment, and, disregarding his better judgement, he opens the door to take a peek. Oh God, they say curiosity killed the cat, you know.
(Fenris) Fenris leans on the old furniture and considers the family of foxes. "Well," he finally says, "We seem to have both a problem and," he raises a hand to forestall anyone speaking over him, "And an opportunity."

"The city of Fairhaven, unaware of your presence, has decided to renovate this hotel and get it up and running again, which puts you folks out of a home," he holds up a chubby hand again, "That said," he continues, "I am pretty sure we will need a crew for cleanup and renovation as well as staff for this hotel." He raises an eyebrow. "What do you think?"
(Willy) The foxes look to Fenris as he speaks before looking to each other, and to the Woman, who after thanking for the help up. "I see...I guess we should have expected this at some point, but if what you say is true, Then perhaps there is a future for us..." she says with a smile before they start to converse with Fenris and prepare to leave. Down at the conference room, Junes and Bleu take the back way around to the Conference Center, clearing the way as they do. Stepping to the door, they are accousted with a very strong and damp mildewy stench, one that is unfortunently too great for Bleu's stomach, causing him to hurl his lunch. Junes however seems unphased for the most part, and would look inside, to find the Centers carpet a rotten mildewy mess, by the looks due to a hole that used to be in the ceiling of the center.
(Junes) pinching their nose junes checks the ceiling and it has a rather weird origin "hey uhh i think a mutant did that? though theres a footprint on the floor so maybe someone grew too big for the place?" looking around they start to haul a bag ready to collect more garbage before fixing the bigger items
(Fenris) Fenris thought he was just going to be doing heavy lifting. It is a good thing he was here to do what he was best at. Negotiating.

The tanuki scribbles wildly on his clipboard. He takes note of the foxes needs and wants and their knowledge of the old hotel, which is infinitely more in-depth and accurate than what was on the computer. "I think this will be an excellent relationship for everyone," he says as he writes.
(Bleu) Bleu was thrown off by what he sees in the fridge, which turned out to be completely unrecognizable brown lumps and piles that look remarkably like shit, and smell just as bad. Whatever it was, it was certainly a biohazard for Zephyr to clean up. The sight and smell unsettles his stomach, unfortunately, so as he nears the conference room, the overwhelming and rank stench of a carpet long ruined is enough to cause the satyr to hurl all over the floor. "Flyin' f-fuck," he grumbles.
(Willy) As Bleu tries to regather himself after loosing his lunch, Junes pushes their way through the stench into the room. Ripping up old carpet and moving chairs, they start to clear the place, though after some time, he starts to struggle and realizes this is probably not the job for one person. Up above, the Foxes give Fenris some pretty detailed notes, and good information on some of the inner works of the hotel, before they finish packing up and let Fenris lead the way.
(Junes) finished up most of the center while somehow standing the smell and then using a few cleaners and fresheners to make it easier to enter later finally decides to head up and help out fenris and sees a group of mutant foxes "oh you guys seem friendly mind if i clean up a bit around here?"
(Fenris) Fenris leads the way down the stairs, charting with the foxes about opportunities as live in staff for both the renovations and the reopened hotel, should they so choose.

The construction-garbed tanuki stops short at the wall of stench as he finally finds Bleu and Junes.

"Are you two trying to clean this place out NOW!?" he asks incredulously, "Alone!? You crazy or something?" He looks at the foul mess that is the conference room carpet and the swinging door of the kitchen, along with the barricades of junk shoved to the sides of the foyer. "I can see like, twelve OSHA violations just standing here!" he waves a chubby hand in front of his face, "And I can smell at least one major biohazard." He steps aside to introduce the family of foxes. "Meet our almost-but-not-quite-official renovation crew!" he says, "We'll get these guys set up and the cleanup will be done in no time flat, right crew?"
(Bleu) Bleu gags a bit, and he waves at Fenris. "I already texted a request for a biohazard clean-up crew from Zephyr. The fridge and walk-in freezer in the kitchen are absolutely horrific. And don't get me started on the conference room. That's at least 10 years worth of mold."
(Willy) As they come to the bottom of the stairwell, they meet Junes there, and shrug for the most part. They had planned to leave with Fenris so Junes was fine to clean what they could. Reaching the rooms upstairs, they are able to unlock the doors with a little hacking and work, and are able to inspect the rooms. For the most part they find them in one of two shapes, either pristine as the day they were left, or a choatic mess of stains and broken glass as the resident had done whatever they could to escape. The rooms the Foxes were in were also a bit of a trashy mess but nothing a bit of cleaning couldn't take care of. Meanwhile as they approach the conference room, the group stops and stays back as they begin to catch the smell. "Sir..." The Mothjer of the group said. "Perhaps we should head to so called Zephyr first and get where we are to rest settled first..." she says "before we try to work on this place."
(Junes) seeing the one clean room was a pleasant surprise and so focuses on the opposite one and sets to work on in using standard cleaning supplies and once the stains and glass are all up theres not too much else to clean and figuring the claw marks need more work later just tidies up the former mutant home and looks over their handiwork! then heads downstairs to chat a bit
(Fenris) "Absolutely, Ma'am," Fenris says, tipping his hard hat, "You folks don't do any work at all until you have a nice, solid contract." He frowns at the foul stench wafting from both the kitchen and the conference room.

"And you definitely don't start until a hazmat crew cleans all of this out."
(Bleu) Bleu nods, as well, and he greets the Fox Mom. "Hello. Yes, I'm Bleu, and I'll be paying for all the new furniture to repair what's too badly damaged or destroyed. I look forward to working with you guys."
(Willy) The Woman smiles to Bleu and thanks he for the help and for eveything that can be one. As Junes comes downstairs, the others return from the conference center and after a small discussion, meet up with the rest of the renovation team. Laying out the tasks that are needed in the immediate future, and the deeper issues that need to be addressed, the large crew confirms what needs to be done and begins on work. While they begin their work, the Foxes are bought to the Zephyr lobby with the help of Junes, Fenris and Bleu and are settled in, before they return to the Hotel to lead the Renovation. In that time, they are given thanks from the City Improvement department and are rewarded pay for their work, as things continue to get the Hotel together and ready to operate in time.
