It's early afternoon and things are deadly silent around the area of the parking garage. Storm clouds are hanging overhead and there's not a creature in sight, well, except for the human anxiously drumming her fingers on a wrecked car. She's dark skinned, her hair is buzzed, and she's wearing a worn grey suit with a wimpy looking pistol strapped to her hip. There's nobody else around so she's very likely the person who so foolishly asked for help over a public channel for all to hear. Come to think of it, that might be a problem. Either way she's here and she's waiting for somebody to show up and do the deed of infecting her.
Thunder storms, something that was actually enjoyable if you ignored the smell of wet dog. Angus looks up at the sky for a second to see just how close the storm is before he walks into the parking garage. The silence unnerved him for a second, so use to the chaos that was the Zehypr lobby that it was strange that the only sound he could hear was the tapping of the humans finger upon the hood of the car and his own claws on the concrete. "Your the one that asked to be infected?" He raises an eyebrow, looking the human over as he trys not to smile just yet...
A hybrid of sorts, half-wolf and half-fox that has nine kitsune-like tails, throws a glance up at the sky, shuddering a little before walking inside of the garage. After throwing a quick glance, he notices the coyote and the human femme, before slowly making his way towards them, eyeing both curiously. "Well... It looks like I'm kind of late, huh." He says, smiling and standing a feet away from Angus.
Is there perhaps a lady in need? Dio needed no more motivation to head over to the supposed public cry for help. Dropping what little he was doing (Sleeping), the silver furred and suit wearing lion quickly makes his way for the parking garage in question. In his hands, a common looking shotgun, mostly to help scare away the ferals that may happen to try and hop in front of his path. Not too long after Axel, the lion strolls into the parking garage and bows in front of the current trio. "Greetings ladies and gentleman. I hear that a lady is in need of servicing," he says, eying the human's features. "And you dress quite well! A wonderful sight for my soar eyes."
Arimia was wandering the city when she heard the signal go out. Having little better to do she swung by the mentioned parking garage. She stops at seeing the group already gathered, one hand slipping under her coat to draw out a long blade. She slithers toward the group then, looking over those gathered. Her eyes stop on the woman and she says, "You called for help in changing to something else. You also mentioned being in some trouble. Was that trouble being caused by these ones here?"
The human quirks a brow at the motley crew that's assembled before her, especially that lion. What an odd ball. She does cast a smile his way though before turning to Arimia and shaking her head. "Nah. These goons are fine." The women goes quiet and there's a crack of thunder before she speaks again. "Let's just say I pissed the wrong sorts off and being human isn't exactly working out anymore. Looks like I have lots of options now though." The most subtle shudder works it's way through the girl as her troubles gnaw at her. "Name is, uh, let's say Lily."
Angus turns to eye the newcomers, a brow raising at the curious hybrid. "Wouldn't count yourself out just yet." He flashes Axel a smile, before Dio and then Arimia arrives. But the sight of her long blade being drawn makes the coyote bring his hands up to the handles of his guns, and he shakes his head. "Nope, we haven't had anytime to set up the party and cause trouble." The coyote and his big mouth again, yet his tail does still wag when he speaks. "What can these goons do for you miss, Lily. I'm Angus by the way."
Axel turns his head to take a look at the other people, his gaze stops on Angus for a moment, before turning it back to the girl that just named herself Lily. "My name is Axel. Pleasure to meet you. All of you." He smiles at the coyote and tenses up a little, as he places his hands atop his guns. "Yup. Just came here myself." He says, glancing at Arimia.
Dio was about to comment on the blade being drawn beside him, but then he looked down at his shotgun plainly in his hands. He wouldn't want to be called a hypocrite now! As if he were one of those things people put on their desks where a bird dips down into water and comes back up, only to drop down again, the lion bows deeply and puts a hand under his heart. "Ah yes, forgive me for not introducing myself first. My name is Dio. Though, most have been calling me That Lion as of late, despite it being much longer." The lion retracts from his bow and begins moving a little closer, arms crossed and listening in intently to the lady's request. "I'm interested in what trouble you've found yourself in. Perhaps solving this would negate the need for losing your precious humanity. But if it's a form you desire, perhaps we could oblige. Preferences, perhaps?"
Arimia looks around at those gathered again then shrugs her shoulders. She doesn't put her weapon away, however. She turns her attention to the woman. "Lily. Very well. As the feline said, this could be solved other ways. THough I will understand if you feel being human is disadvantageous anymore." She looks around the parking garage before continuing. "Next time, however, I would advise just going to the Zephyr lobby, or asking around in the mall or something similar. An unsecured public broadcast is not very private. Any of those causing you trouble could have been listening."
"Charmed, Angus, Axel, Dio. And... fighting will probably only make things worse. Believe me, I've tried." She turns to Arimia after that." I'd have gone somewhere else, but I didn't want any eyes on this. At all." There's a tired sigh from Lily before a sudden grin spreads across her face at all these people vying for the chance to infect her. "Well, time is short and I'm not picky. So..." The human pulls out an old twenty sided die and looks back and forth between the four volunteers with newfound uncertainty. She's being fair at least. "One to five will be the cat. Six to ten will be the snake. Eleven to fifteen the 'yote. And sixteen to twenty will be whatever Axel is." And with that human rolls the die onto the floor...
Angus leans back against one of the abandoned cars as he crosses his arms. "Sounds fair enough, but I do have to admit that out of the forms that you see in front of you the only one I couldn't change you into would be what Axel is." He turns, leaning a little closer to Axel to look him over. But then the die is cast and it catches his attention, wanting to see how this turns out.
"I like that idea, Lily." Axel nods and shrugs a little, turning his head to cast another smile at Angus. "There are other ways of changing someone, y'know." He says and stretches his back, pressing it against the car as well. He sees the die being rolled and leans in a bit, trying to figure out what number it'll show.
"Oh?" Dio points the barrel of his shotgun at the ground, pushing it down and clacking it once on the floor. "If fighting it was worse, you sure weren't very concerned about broadcasting on an open channel. They're probably coming for us as we speak. But alas, if you're so set..." His hands fold over the butt of his shotgun, using the long thing as a staff of sorts. "Gambling on a form... Oh my. Though, I do wish for another lioness to be born into this world, for obvious reasons," he chuckles, focusing his eyes upon the die. "Though I'm sure you'll look beautiful in any form."
Arimia reaches into a pocket of her coat with her free hand and pulls out a few nanite funnels. She sets them down on a car and says, "Yes. There are other ways of changing someone. Far less intrusive than what most have on their mind. Whatever form ends up being the one taken, these will let you assume that form without physical contact. Something preferable in most cases." She glances aside at Dio, and though she doesn't say as much, the implication that he is definitely one of those cases is plain.
Lily gives Angus a little squint as the die comes to a rest on the floor. "I don't trust anything I can't see first. Especially not coyote voodoo." She goes over to the die and looks up to Axel with an unsure expression. "Eighteen... you win. Sorry Dio, hon." The human walks over to the car and examines the funnels curiously. "Yeah. This'll be a lot better then letting someone take a chunk out of me. Thanks. Now Axel, if you'd be so kind as to come over here for me."
Maybe broadcasting on a public channel was a bad idea. Entering the parking garage and now hovering near the entrance are several well armed mutants. A quartet of brightly colored latex foxes, led by one at least a few heads taller then the rest. They spread out a bit as they approach and palm at their admittedly low quality weapons, waiting for the little gathered crew's attention.
Angus rolls his eyes at the coyote voodoo comment. "Hey, that's your choice. Not my place to judge." As she moves over to Axel he turns his gaze away, his mind wandering as he pretty much just looks around the parking garage. Broken car, broken light, broken car, oh bunch of squeaky foxes walking towards them with weapons! "Well Lily, looks like you might want to hold off on that change for juuuuussssttt one second." Standing up he fishes into his Satchel and pulls out a fragmentation grenade with a smiley face sticker on it. Pulling the pin he gives it a casual underhand toss towards the approaching group and smiles. "Hello chew toys, say cheese."
Axel chuckles at the comment about the coyote, tilting his head a little and looking at Lily. "So... I 'won', huh? Well... Funnels are a good way, too." He says, smiling and glancing back at the direction that Angus is looking at. "Oh my... That's the people you was trying to hide, I suppose." A small grin crosses his muzzle as he sees the bomb being thrown at the arrivals, chuckling. "Time for us to take a cover or something." He runs over to Lily and grabs her hand, immediately dragging her behind one of the cars. After all, he doesn't know how tough the foxes are... or how bad Angus' aim is.
Dio feels the robosnake's eyes glance upon his figure, having a general idea of what she believes. "Now now, don't worry! I would've used funnels myself if it were my form that was chosen! Honest." With a grin, the lion bows and awaits the coming infection and prepares to move on out and get home for more work (sleep). However, it would appear things wouldn't be so simple... He turns around to view a gathering of latex foxes and immediately raises his gun to his shoulders, firing off a 12g shot into the crowd and breathing deep to release an incredible and feisty lion roar, caring not for the recently tossed grenade!
Arimia leans down and sets her sword on the floor, ignoring the grenade flying into the foxes. She then flattens her hands on the ground. For a second nothing happens, then the concrete making up the garage shifts, and a few spikes shoot up, each impaling a fox. More spikes join them, but they all miss their targets. She reaches out to grab her sword again and straightens up, looking toward the group with a sharp toothed grin.
Lily is shocked by the sudden arrival of the foxes and the tossing of a grenade. To say the least. Really she doesn't even react at first. Thankfully Axel was there to heroicaly shepherd her behind a car for safety. She puts her hands over her ears as the sounds of the explosion, gunfire, roaring, and earth being torn asunder.
The foxes do not fare well after Angus' grenade sends them skittering away disoriented. They don't even have time to recover before the leader gets winged by pellets from Dio's shotgun and starts deflating with a high pitched whine. He's soon joined by his comrades, impaled on spikes of earth and flailing as they deflate. As the smoke clears there's some squeaking from behind a car and the last fox pops up and starts running for his life, leaving a not very mysterious yellow trail behind him as he tries to flee.
Angus had already drawn his guns as soon as the grenade went off, but there was no need to pull the trigger as Dio's shotgun, then he himself roared. He watched with surprise as the very earth decided to impale the foxes, and he knew someone was using nanomagic as he holsters his pistols and watches the last fox flee with a smile. "Well, that went well."
"Phew. You guys rock!" Axel stands up from his cover, patting Lily's head a couple of times, saying that it's over. "Too bad I'm a melee fighter... Though... looking at you, I might buy myself a gun, too." He says, giving a curious glance at Dio's shotgun with a click of his tongue, admiring it's power.
Dio pumps his shotgun and discharges the used shell, priming the next one for another firing. After the carnage however, he finds that would be quite unecessary. The lion gives out another powerful roar, taunting and threatening the running fox with primal beauty! "Another job well done," he says, lowering his shotgun and calming down from his battle high. He spins around on his feet and heads over to the human and Axel, holding out his hand in front of Lilly. "Are you hurt, my lady? Allow me to assist you up!" His head breifly looks towards Axel. "Oh yes, guns are indeed quite advantageous in this world. You'll find they help quite a bit in scaring off the ferals."
Arimia shakes her head slightly and sheathes her sword. "I believe that it was more the grenade and seeing his friends impaled by earth that set that one to running. Not your gun and posturing." She reaches into a pocket and pulls out a cigarette case, which she opens to pluck a hand rolled cigarette from. "When leaving you should be careful where you see the spikes. The earth under all that may be too weak to support much weight now. I moved a bit to create the spikes."
The human scowls a bit as Axel pats her head and thoughtlessly takes Dio's hand, allowing him to get her on her feet. Such a gentlemen! And in this day and age. Not that she needs one or anything. "Thanks... you guys." Lily scoops up the funnels and looks around warily before wrapping an arm around the curteous lion. "Gotta be more careful with radios I guess. Why don't you and me go somewhere quieter and put these funnels to use? Maybe a drink after?" It's really hard not be taken with such a polite cat.
"I would say go blackpowder, as it's a lot easier to make rounds for then smokless. But if you don't get the right measurement there can be problems." Angus looks to Axel and shrugs, hands going in his pockets as he smiles at the human and Dio. "Well, there goes the neighborhood. Have fun with that one Dio." Chuckling a little he turns and eyes the earth spikes, cocking his head to the side just a little as he stares. "Fancy trick, definitly a party pooper when someone attacks you. Nice one Arimia."
Axel just shrugs at everyone's comments, remaining silent for some time, looking at Dio and Lily. "Yeah, t'was nice." He says and gives a nod to Arimia, turning his head to Dio. "The funnels. Use them yourself. Girl likes you, so I'd prefer that, instead of gambling." He shrugs once again, walking over to where he was standing in the first place with an usual smile crossing his muzzle.
Joining his hand with hers, Dio pulls the human up to her feet and smiles. "It was no problem at all, my lady. It's a gentleman's duty after all." One large fuzzy arm descends around Lily's shoulders in response, and quite gently so. "Do not worry, my sweet serpent," he says towards Arimia. "I'm not claiming credit. You all did a wonderful job! And the earth nanomagic... Magnificent. I was simply stating the usefulness of a projectile weapon in this day and age. A melee weapon is certainly useful, but limiting yourself only to such may cause issues in the future. Having both is wonderful! Though of course, I'm basing this on logic. Results may vary." Suddenly, he points a finger towards one of the spikes, causing one of the tips to crack and fall off onto the floor, using earth nanomagic of his own! Smile growing wider, he looks down at the human and the array of funnels, chuckling at Angus and Axel's comments. "If you desire to be a lioness... Very well! But think carefully. But buying a lady a drink I certainly will not argue against."
Arimia bares her sharp teeth and says, "Do not call me that, cat, or I'll leave you unable to ever do what you so strongly desire to do with that fool." She waves a hand at Lily and turns away. She fishes out a book of matches, striking one and holding it to her cigarette. "Damned fools all, letting the nanites control thoughts and so leaving yourselves at the mercies of your libido." She shakes her head and, trailing smoke, slithers past the spikes and out of the garage.
Lily frowns at the grumpy snake and snuggles more into the suited lion. Sure is warm. She waits a moment and with wave to the others starts guiding the feline somewhere more private to help her change her form. Leaving Angus and Axel alone in the parking garage together.
