Dampening Nanomagic stats

An expansion upon Reproduction Nanomagic that focuses on utilizing out-of-phase sound waves reactively to lessen and potentially negate other sounds. This requires both the sensory-input capabilities of Illusion Nanomagic to register noises and the Data Nanomagic to handle the data. Without either, this nanomagic will not function. In normal usage, the Dampening Nanomagic will muffle and even block out regular noises from the user. Sounds such as footsteps, equipment shifting, and other normal, regular sounds will get mostly nulled while abrupt, or high frequency noises such as gunfire will only be lessened slightly.

You can spend a Hero Point to help enhance this to cover for expected, simple high frequency noises from yourself for 10 minutes, like gunfire, but complex noises, such as shouting and speech, will still only be lessened in amplitude. You can extend the duration with additional hero points, +10 minutes per point spent.

A Hero Point may be spent to apply the Dampening instead to a target within 20 ft and within sight of you. Should they leave your sight or range, the effects immediately stop.

For 2 Hero Points, the Dampening can be extended to a 10 ft. Radius centered around you. This can only be maintained for 10 minutes, but it can be extended an additional 10 for each additional hero point spent.

This is an Active nanomagic, and it cannot be actived while another Active nanomagic is being used.
