-Theme Songs-
Puscifer - Telling Ghosts ("The more you take, the more you need. The more you suck, the more you bleed. The dead know better, so listen to the letter.")
New Model Army - Far Better Thing ("Give me the strength to cut, and to keep our secret.")
MC 900 Foot Jesus - The City Sleeps (general mood and theme rather than the subject per se - replace violent impulses with firesetting and it fits perfectly.)
MC 900 Foot Jesus - Dali's Handgun (Particularly the end line: "The perfect gun leaves an exquisite corpse." If I have to pick one and only one quote or lyric to represent him, it's this one. It captures so much of his nature - his violent urges, his intellectualism, his creativity, his attraction to altered consciousness. But there's a lot of other lines that apply very well too, as does the overall feeling of the song. Other fitting lines, omitting the everpresent phrase 'the perfect gun': "A finger resting on the controls of a broken machine." "A dark intention." "Never waits for itself." "Blood at water level." "Exists in a savage state." "Will follow the free tendencies of desire." "A pill dropped in a glass of water." "Turns, as it pleases, toward all horizons." "Perfect sadism, at least as a method." "A beautiful chimera." "Is an idealist without taking part in any ideal." "Takes the shapes and colors of demoralization and confusion." "Not in the habit of saluting the dead." "Has drawn the symbol of the infinite." "Is not incompatible with a certain nobility of thought." "A door someone opened.")
Necro - World Gone Mad (More for mood and also the sort of ideas and images that bombard Acetyl whether he likes it or not. Also the specific quote, "I believe to deny what is insane or to try to flee from it is to submit to it, to be at the mercy of it, when you should just study it.")
Megadeth - Die Dead Enough ("Something's compelling me to run into the dark...")
Bruce Dickinson - No Way Out... Continued ("What does it take to open up my eyes? What does it take to register surprise? What does it take to feel joy? What does it take to feel pain?" "I've read all the books about being ill." "I've been working hard for this all my life - and I like it this way!")
Psycho Motel - A Quarter to Heaven ("I was breathing far too slow, my mind was racing but my heart didn't know. Too late, maybe this is the end. White light above me - shall we begin?") About drugs, yes... but also, for 'Cet, about how he feels being overtaken by supernatural forces like Dedications and their servants after devoting most of his life to reason, logic, and empiricism.
