The setting was fairly modest all things considered, the racing ring much the way it's always been, kept neat and well maintained. What few racers were usually around now had the day off as the track had been cleared and given a temporary new purpose. Among the stands where the crowd would sit and enjoy the races were perched a few tables, lined with all sorts of snacks and treats. There were drinks and delicacies of all sorts, sweet and salty, bitter and mild, spicy and bland it mattered not.

Magnus meanwhile was dressed much the same he always was. Just a pair of knee-length camo cargo shorts, a white T'shirt and nothing else. He'd be conversing with the guests, every so often taking a donation or two either digitally or physically in the form of chips or valuables. The entry was, ofcourse, free. However the presence of security was scarcely apparent, though quite real. From time to time, the sound of the starting gun would be heard, as folks tried to complete the daily goal set. To beat the yearly best lap times of 2018!

A dark-furred kitsune clothed in a casual grey button-down shirt and worn jeans enters the stands and makes his way over to the snack table. He had heard there was some sort of event going on today, and the prospect of making a bit of money was quite the enticement to break normal routines. He gravitates towards some of the spicier sausage and cheese snacks, making little bite-sized sandwiches. He glances around to see if there was anyone here he recognized and immediately spots the fennec. Making his way over, he gives a brief wave and says, "Hey Mags, how're you today? Nice set up you have here. Figured I'd try my hand at stealing away some winning from here." He gives a wide grin before tossing another snack in his mouth.

The fox was in the middle of a conversation with one of the locals, a female husky with a coat of fiery fur, not lireally, just a vibrant shade of deep orange. As Zen nears, she listens in and casts him an odd look, Magnus as well. "Eh? Steal winnings? No no no no no." He'd shake his head. "This is a charity. Sorry to burst you bubble or anything, but you don't really steal from a charity. I don't need to be telling you that though."

"I think I'm gonna go get another guard to watch the lockbox." the husky states as she sets her drink down on the table beside them, then walks off without another word. "Aaaanyway..." Magnus would go on "I intend to help the EMT service by collecting and giving funds for em'."

"Truth be told it was an excuse to throw a party and load up on snacks. I have cash to spare and nothing to use it on, so here we are. ANYWAY!" his hands clasp. "If you have a racer or want to try the laps youself, for every person that beats the best laptimes of 2018 I will donate one million creds to the EMT for new equipment. And just to make things even more interesting, if someone manages to beat ME in a race, then I'll sign up for First Aid lessons and join the EMT myself!"

Theresa makes her way into the arena, looking about a bit, showing that she hasn't visited before. The vixen soon caugh eye of the drink, wandering over to have something to sip at. The second thing that catches her gaze is the fennec. Making her way over, she raises a hand in greeting. "So, gone all charity on us, huh?" The kitsune woman giggles. "Excuse for a party? Parties excuse themselves in my world. The vixen seems to think a little. "The EMT, huh?"

Zen gives a nervous chuckle and says, "Right, right, donations for charity and all." He glances towards the track where he can see a few racers sprinting through the course, "Well, it does sound like it is for a good cause. Not sure I could beat you in a foot race, but the idea of 'you' being an EMT responder is pretty entertaining. Maybe I'll have to give you a run for it." As the other kitsune approaches, Zen turns to her and gives a quick once over. "Oh, hello there. I don't believe I've seen you around before." He offers a handshake and says, "I'm Zen."

Seeing Theresa approach, Magnus perks an ear and listens to her works, his muzzle tugging into a smirk as she teases him about the event. "Oh no! I am trying to do a good! Woe is you for this sudden mind-shattering change of pace! Pffsh." he'd wave it off and roll his eyes. "That's true, parties are their own excuses by all damn means but a fella can change things up every so often. Besides, what are you, jealous I won't spend my riches spoiling you or something?" the fox winks and swings a hand to strike the kitsune's ass. "Enjoy the snacks, Tess. Thanks for coming. I still owe ya some... special... treatment." Magnus winks slyly before turning towards Zen. "Sure. You try anything dirty though and I'm afraid I'll have to have to have you "escorted" out." the fennec warns and cracks his knuckles. "Down that platform and through the hall towards the starting line, whenever you're ready."

Theresa smiles at the other kitsune. "Theresa, but do call me Tess...I don't like to be formal." She shakes his hand, looking him up and down rather blatantly. "Pleased to mee-ack!" The vixen jumps as te hand collides with her rear, but glances to the fennec and smirks. "Yeah, you still owe me a spoiling...so maybe?" The vixen jokes. "Buuut...I don't think I'm much of a runner...I'm certainly not dressed for it."

Zen gives a smirk to Magnus, "Oh, hah, I wouldn't want to get thrown out now, would I. Well... not before my racer has a chance to show her stuff in any case." He smiles and says, "Though, I can always afford a bit of exercise. Maybe I'll race you after the next bout?". He finishes the handshake with Tess and nods, "Tess then? Heh, good to meet ya. Sounds like you and Magnus are already pretty 'friendly' with one another, hmm?". He gives a toothy smile to Magnus as he turns to head closer to the track, "Well, my racer should be up soon... I wonder what that time to beat is..."

"I'm friendly with most of Fairhaven." the fennec winks and gives Theresa a teasing hip-bump. Moving over towards the railing of the track, he'd raise a finger and point at the electronic board, a primitive thing but it did its job, showing the time of the participants and the time to beat. Seems it was 97 seconds, and the closest thing anyone came to beating the lap time of 2018 was 102 seconds. "If you have a racer, go talk to Jimmy, he's down there and handles the stalls and the lineup. Doesn't look like anyone's making a try right now, so..." he'd shrug deeply as his finger points towards a cranky looking gorilla mutant down by the starting line. "By the way." Magnus yanks Zen down and whispers something into his ear, then releases him and pats his shoulder, before returning to Theresa and snagging some cookies from the table. "Are you being modest or are you trying to keep that girlish figure? I like my girls soft around the thighs anyway." he'd tease and stick his tongue out at the kitsune.
