'''Mallrat''' is one of the infectious nanite strains in the world of Flexible Survival. Those infected by this strain have their bodies altered to resemble anthropomorphic, human-sized rats, while their mind is altered to a more stereotypical "80's retro-punk" mindset, complete with dated slang, vapidness, a fixation on the "wonders of the mall", and a love of skating and skateboarding.

Unlike most infection strains, Mallrat does not seem to increase the libido to bestial, personality warping extents - Mallrats are lusty, but can still function relatively normally. As a result, they are not a hostile encounter in the game.

Two important [[NPCs_(Single_Player) Mallrat NPCs]] are [[Rod]] and [[Ronda]].

Mallrat can apparently mutate into [[Slut Rat]] if tainted by nanites from the [[Demon Brute]] strain of infection.
