Flexible Survival is a supporting Wiki for the text-based Flexible Survival MUD created by Nuku Valente.
It's storyline is based in a not too distant past of 2008, containing scifi elements about a nanite-based virus outbreak and it's mutation-inducing consequences. The game is based on roleplay and classic hack'n'slash combat.

This page does not cover all the commands currently in the game, but these are the commands that will make up most of a player's commands. For the use of some of these command in roleplay see the recomende use of command section there.

look
Lets you look at things - the room you're in, other players, objects, even enemy monsters. Typing
look
by itself merely looks at the room, while typing
look me
looks at yourself. If you want to look at a monster during combat, typing
look 1
(or whatever number they are) tends to work better than typing their name.
(short l)

use
Lets you use a power or object. Powers work best by using the format of
use <Power Name> on <Target>
. Targets that are hostile are best selected by using just the number next to their name in the combat display.

+rpinfo <topic>
Gets you more information on the topic, including some items, most powers, roles, professions, etc. A great source of help at the early stages.

public <Message>
(can be shortened to pub <Message>)
Chats in the general public channel, viewable by all players with the channel turned on (most players at this point). Using the format
pub :
you can type in emotes that just say your name, rather than your current head's chatter type. Mostly considered out-of-character and used to pass information or ask questions.

say <Message>
Using a prefix generated by your current head type, talks in the current room with a message visible to all players. Generally considered IC, or "In Character" for roleplaying. For example:
You type
say "Hello all, this is just a test!"
.
What you see:
You chirr, "Hello all, this is just a test!"
.
What everyone else in the room sees:
Playername chirrs, "Hello all, this is just a test!"

emote <Message>
Similar to say, but instead the message displayed to all players starts with just your name, useful for RP. Only displays for the room you are currently in. For example:
You type
emote is simply conducting tests for the wiki, don't mind them.

What you see:
Playername is simply conducting tests for the wiki, don't mind them.

What everyone else sees:
Playername is simply conducting tests for the wiki, don't mind them.

OOC <Message>
Can be used in two formats, much like
public
. Typing
ooc
results in an appearance for your local room that looks like a say, but without your head suffix adding its portion to your chat. Using the format "
OOC :
" results in an output that acts much like an emote from above.

editplayer
Command that has a lot of functions for editing appearance, your short and long descriptions can be edited via this command. It comes with its own built in help for most of them as well, give it a try if you didn't do much during character creation to jazz up your character's appearance to others.

inventory
Lists all the current items you are carrying. You can type
inventory #
to get more information about an item in your inventory.
(interchangeable with +gear, can be shortened to i)

+equip
yped by itself, it lists off everything you have equipped, and in which slots. Typing
equip #
, with the number of an item in place of the #, tries to equip that item from your inventory. If it's equippable, and you have enough spare loadout, then it'll be equipped.

+gear
An important command that serves as the root for several commands. By itself,
+gear
lists all the items you are carrying. Typing
+gear #
, with the number of an item in place of the #, displays more information on that item. Typing
+gear #help
shows a help screen about further commands.

+acc
*quips that item number from your inventory. You can use +gear or inventory to determine the item number of what you want to equip.

remove
*Removes a piece of equipment. You'll need to tell the game which piece of equipment, by typing
equip
, finding the slot number of the gear, and typing
remove #
.

ws
Type in a room to get some information about your fellow players without being too intrusive. Information includes name, status (IC, idle, OOC, etc), current sex and species status.

wi
Type in room to see the rp prefferences of the players in the room alos yo see theri short description if they have one. Should be used if the player comes new into the room doesn't know the other player and didn't do roleplaying steps to couse using commands like smell or look.
smell
Similar to
look
, but instead of using your eyes, you use your nose. This command tells you a bit about the fertility and species of the target.
smell here
effectively counts as smelling everybody and the room itself. And, of course, sticking your nose in someone's crotch will be visible to them.

stats
Views your current character sheet, containing a lot of useful information including your HP status, special skills, mutant powers, combat skills and knowledge skills.

+hazards
Shows a display about the current area. Known monsters and approximate threat level. Try to stay in areas which match your level.
(can be shortened to +haz)

+mut
Shows the body mutation you currently have.

+prove <a player statt>
proves if the plaer has a statt with that name. The result will be shown to the room with an message like charname proves that they possess a stat named statt name with a value of a figure. Can be alterd by
/silent
then it will not show the result to the room For Example
+ prove/silent Pregnant
will prove if the player is Pregnant and give the actual Value for it.

New York, New York State is arguably the capital of finance in the United States. Within its many boroughs, which are almost cities in their own right are a polyglot of cultures and history unlike anywhere else in the United States. However... Much of that glory faded with the release of the Promethean Nanites in February of 2008. As with other cities, the nanites wreaked havoc across the city, with many people mutating or vanishing utterly. Feral creatures roamed the streets, and those still possessed of their minds lived in terror.

The situation now is much changed; the infection has been controlled. Some would say eliminated, but the population of nonhumans belies that idea. Martial law is the rule of the day, with normal humans and the transformed forcibly kept separate; Creatures of feral nature that prove to be troublesome are dealt with, with extreme prejudice.

Basic Information
Las Vegas, Nevada was, aside from the possible rivalry of Monte Carlo, the capitol of gambling in the world. High rollers from across the world would come to spend their money and sample the foods, entertainment and vices particular to that glittering artificial oasis.

However... The end came with the advent of the Promethean nanites. Unlike other cities where the victims were 'merely' mutated into nonhuman forms, in Vegas something went even more horribly wrong. Instead of converting people into new forms, the nanites simply tore every bit of biological matter apart and produced a quivering mass of grey dust coating the vacant city. Few escaped the horrid scene, and fewer still wish to return to the site.

This effect is known as the grey goo scenario. One of the nightmare-future ideas semi-predicted by science fiction authors, in Vegas it came to be a nightmare come true.

Kollyn: made a few addition (more save) and cahge from use of ; and * to get offsets to == to also get a list of content. this page will grow i think ~~~~

A great source of help at the early stages.

public <Message>

OOC :
" results in an output that acts much like an emote from above.

editplayer

*Gets you more information on the topic, including some items, most powers, roles, professions, etc. A great source of help at the early stages.

public <Message>

OOC :
" results in an output that acts much like an emote from above.

editplayer
*Lets you look at things - the room you're in, other players, objects, even enemy monsters. Typing
look
by itself merely looks at the room, while typing
look me
looks at yourself. If you want to look at a monster during combat, typing
look 1
(or whatever number they are) tends to work better than typing their name.

;use
*Lets you use a power or object. Powers work best by using the format of
use <Power Name> on <Target>
. Targets that are hostile are best selected by using just the number next to their name in the combat display.

;+rpinfo <topic>
*Gets you more information on the topic, including some items, most powers, roles, professions, etc. A great source of help at the early stages.

;public <Message> (can be shortened to pub <Message>)
*Chats in the general public channel, viewable by all players with the channel turned on (most players at this point). Using the format
pub :
you can type in emotes that just say your name, rather than your current head's chatter type. Mostly considered out-of-character and used to pass information or ask questions.

;say <Message>
*Using a prefix generated by your current head type, talks in the current room with a message visible to all players. Generally considered IC, or "In Character" for roleplaying. For example:
::You type
say "Hello all, this is just a test!"
.
::What you see:
You chirr, "Hello all, this is just a test!"
.
::What everyone else in the room sees:
Playername chirrs, "Hello all, this is just a test!"

;emote <Message>
*Similar to say, but instead the message displayed to all players starts with just your name, useful for RP. Only displays for the room you are currently in. For example:
::You type
emote is simply conducting tests for the wiki, don't mind them.

::What you see:
Playername is simply conducting tests for the wiki, don't mind them.

::What everyone else sees:
Playername is simply conducting tests for the wiki, don't mind them.

;OOC <Message>
*Can be used in two formats, much like
public
. Typing
ooc
results in an appearance for your local room that looks like a say, but without your head suffix adding its portion to your chat. Using the format "
OOC :
" results in an output that acts much like an emote from above.

;editplayer
*Command that has a lot of functions for editing appearance, your short and long descriptions can be edited via this command. It comes with its own built in help for most of them as well, give it a try if you didn't do much during character creation to jazz up your character's appearance to others.

;inventory (interchangeable with +gear, can be shortened to i)
*Lists all the current items you are carrying. You can type
inventory #
to get more information about an item in your inventory.

;equip
*Typed by itself, it lists off everything you have equipped, and in which slots. Typing
equip #
, with the number of an item in place of the #, tries to equip that item from your inventory. If it's equippable, and you have enough spare loadout, then it'll be equipped.

;+gear
*An important command that serves as the root for several commands. By itself,
+gear
lists all the items you are carrying. Typing
+gear #
, with the number of an item in place of the #, displays more information on that item. Typing
+gear #help
shows a help screen about further commands.

;+acc
*Equips that item number from your inventory. You can use +gear or inventory to determine the item number of what you want to equip.

;remove
*Removes a piece of equipment. You'll need to tell the game which piece of equipment, by typing
equip
, finding the slot number of the gear, and typing
remove #
.

;ws
*Type in a room to get some information about your fellow players without being too intrusive. Information includes name, status (IC, idle, OOC, etc), current sex and species status.

;smell
*Similar to
look
, but instead of using your eyes, you use your nose. This command tells you a bit about the fertility and species of the target.
smell here
effectively counts as smelling everybody and the room itself. And, of course, sticking your nose in someone's crotch will be visible to them.

;stats
*Views your current character sheet, containing a lot of useful information including your HP status, special skills, mutant powers, combat skills and knowledge skills.

;+hazards (can be shortened to +haz)
*Shows a display about the current area. Known monsters and approximate threat level. Try to stay in areas which match your level.

Background
(Only the very Short Version for a first Info, will work it out detailed )

Kollyn was infected with a special form of a genetic hormone production mutation nearly seventeen years ago. Her father thinks it was caused by nuclear radiated medicine which was used to medicate her scarlet fever. Her doc a medical scientist gave her this experimental medicine cause she was having scarlet fever the tenth time in her young live. Her father also a scientist tried to solve the mutation which made her completely infertile and not developing further stating her nearly genderless. But he overdone it. The medicine worked fine his then genderless child became female again. Tests with her blood and genes also told him she would never again change gender, but there was one big drawback. She became very fertile and getting into a heat like an animal. Her Father feared that she would interbreed with all she meets. He wanted her not to do so at least not until she was fully adult so he put her under strict control until she turned 21. Kollyn now is on her on since nearly 3 years, leaving her father as fast as possible. But she was not much in contact with other people or beings cause she feared to lose control. But now she has heard of the nanites mutating other people as well. So she will not longer hide, but trying to have a good life in a world with other mutated and strangely affect people. She is often a bit torn apart between being shy when interacting with other people cause of the missing experience and her fertile heating making her so aroused that she wanted to fuck everyone.
