[Hare Town]: Center of The Town

You are in the busy town center, with many survivor hares walking around. A few of them are giving you some curious looks. A large well stands in the middle of the crossroads, a nice circle of stones with an overly complicated mechanical device to pump the water, definitely steampunk style. The road to the north leads to the residential area, with many little houses spread over the place. To the east; there are few, but bigger, buildings with signs over the doors, while to the west there are fields and a lot of hares working in them.

( Friday, March 29th, 2013. The initial representatives for Zephyr and New Dawn showed up outside the Town gates and met with a young female secretary, presumably within the local town government. They were given the situation and a list of what needed to be brought in. Working tools, medical supplies, and perhaps a few spare hands. )

As Easter Sunday approached, the clinic went from dangerously near capacity to being overflowing with patients and a severe surplus of eggs was recorded within the hundreds of thousands. Another two days went by, bringing with it a return to normalcy though the medical supplies have been depleted by then and their farm tools are still broken.

By this point the needed supplies should be ready for delivery. Word would spread, naturally, and attract other curious people to this town...

With most mall rats never leaving their home, it leaves the burden of those needed outdoor chores to the few rodents that do wander out. With one such winged rat back in town to pick up some extra slack, there's now a Mall rep to help tote along the goods, spread some cool, and maybe pass out some swag. Mickey travels to the designated meeting point from an earthbound route; a slow chugging whine announcing her arrival as she rides in perched awkwardly atop a refurbished moped. If it wasn't for the large sack tied securely to a rattling sidecar she'd likely be tipped over with how rickety the thing was. If there was a convoy, she had lost it ages ago with her weak pace. It's hard to tell if that's from the lack of real wheels or she was just too cool and enjoying the purr between her legs to rush the trip.

Grunting, Neighing, groaning, whimpering, belly-aching. When you have a large as a bed sized bag of salvaged scrap metel on your back, you better be as fit as a horse to just carry it. Fortunately Herma was a crimson pegasus and hir pride made up for hir lack of working out at the gym lately, but the male rabbits that were assigned to assist hir were too exausted to carry their own bags after the frequent attacks by territorial ferals. Herma turned to the cart those bunny boys put together, the harness that they used to tie hir to it, And then the boys themselves riding in the cart taking naps. Herma was peeved, to say the least

Arriving shortly after the moped, the smaller mouse pads into the town limits on foot. Shi looks rather refreshed, as if shi only had a short walk to get here. Hir usual attire of enhanced overalls are complimented by a hip holster containing a customized laser pistol. With wide eyes behind round glasses, Chell surveys the surroundings, and catching sight of Mickey, the engineer heads in her direction stumbling over an exposed root. Not nearly as cool as others, though also not nearly as upset about the travel conditions either.

Herma nickers, "I was assigned to teach you guys how to find salvage. Not babysit you so you don't knock up your sisters like a bunch of country hicks!"

Carrying both supplies and a squad of soldiers, the heavy duty military vehicle regularly changes position in the convoy as needed to provide a point vehicle in potential ambush points, an escort vehicle in long stretches of road and then bringing up the rear in steep mountain passes where some of the older weaker vehicles literally need a push to help them make it up the terrain. Rattling behind it a moving trailer of heavier equipment and tools, slagged or functional. When the convoy arrived, the soldiers piled out, unhooking the trailer so that the vehicle(no longer having a driver) can roll out and circle round to inspect the back of the convoy and stragglers and then eventually back into an unloading zone so that the soldiers may begin unloading it and the trailer so that anything not already paletized or shrink wrapped could be assembled for swift parceling and distribution.

The nanite adept heard about this little bulletin and thought this would be a way to kill time. After a long walk she ends up at the bottom at of the mountain and smiles, "I hate climbing sooooo...." She shift into a large tentacled monstrosity and begins scaling the side of the mountain with ease her many tentacles. She makes it over to the gather Caravan smiles with her eeriely beautiful face. "I'm Kilsa, I'm hear to help in anyway I can." The flaming tentacles trail all around her killing grass and weeds a like as boiling liquid prevents any real fires from starting. "Its a pleasure."

As group after group arrived, all in their myriads of strange shapes and colors, the thing that could perhaps stand out the most was a modest and short, thin coyote. She, on two paws, didn't look like she was really part of the relief aid. Thin, scrawny, she didn't look like she was there to help build. Her long, volumous skirt and her oversized military jacket made her look smaller. She didn't carry anything that would betray her as a doctor, or anything but a dirty scavenger. The only thing she carried was herself and her rifle, slung over he shoulder, rusted on the reciever and damaged on the polymer grips. She was smiling as she looked around. That crooked grin on a long, slender muzzle, showing the slightest bit of teeth as all she did was watch the bustling and the chaos. Furthering her ragged look, she had only half of her right ear, and her fur was shaggy and ungroomed. Yes. This was something. This was a sight to see, and she was here to see it, and so Coyote was here to see it, and wherever she was, Coyote had a paw in the mix.

As the 'caravan' approaches the gates, a pair of tired looking Bonny Boy guards start waving the signal to open the gates. Inside are dozens more equally tired rabbits, their ordeals still leaving them in a state of low energy.

The rabbits with Herma, the ones that are still awake, give a huff. "We don't. We've been just as laid up as the girls with the egg business without any procreation involved. Don't ask." One of the rabbits responds, pointing to his bare crotch as if saying that's apparently where the eggs came from. From there, he shut up and stayed quiet.

Ah, a female rabbit comes up upon the Caravan by now, a young female. One of the caravaneers, maybe two, know her as the secretary for the town's acting mayor, and the only rabbit in the town who was immune to the egg laying kick that swept the town..for a perfectly sensible reason that only Herma knew about. This time he's more properly dressed in a spring shirt, shorts, and as always carrying her clipboard in one hand while adjusting her glasses in another. Blue-eyed and brown-haired if you can believe that, the Secretary comes to a half in front of the group. "Is there an inventory sheet?"

There's a sharp *BANG* and puff of black smoke, along with a forward stutter of the 'hog', before Mick can finally tame the beast to a jerking stop. The final putters of the engine seem to be a sigh of welcomed relief from a machine on its last leg after she parks and kills the engine. There's a toothy grin on her face as she looks to the array of soldiers at work, and it's carried over to Chell as the rat spots her. "Hey! How's it hanging Chell?" She squeaks as she removes her goggles and helmet, then quickly replaces it with her hat from the sidecar's compartment. "Man, I heard it was gonna be a party, but I didn't think it'd be a whole blockbuster event," she remarks with a whistle; gaze going about to the hustle and bustle around the nearby vehicles as she holds off dismounting her bike and chills with the mouse. When the call goes out for papers she tries to flag a soldier down, then passes over the mall's donation sheet. Soda, chips; predictable. 'Accessories', however, was the oddball out. Ignore the fact it's scribbled on a napkin. "So what exactly happened here, y'know?" She questions Chell curiously.

Herma groaned as sie turned around and looked at the exausted rabbits. " Well boys... I might need a bit of help sorting all this scrap when we're finally back in town. Tell you boys what, If you can sort it all neatly in 10 minuets, I'll personally turn you all into men." Herma pulled the coller of hir shirt down a bit and gave the rabbits a wink

Chell adjusts hir glasses as Mickey approaches, making sure to step away from the ass end of the moped, just in case. "I... I admit that I am in the dark here. I believe there's a delivery going on, but aside from..." Shi eyes Herma and hir innuendo with a questioning, blushing look. "...aside from that I'm more lost than you are." The mousey engineer lifts to the tips of hir toes and lowers back down again in nervous restlessness. "Though I'm... I suppose I'm just along to inspect infrastructure? Or just to get out of the workshop for once. Fresh mountain air and mosquitos."

Lt. Ripley is more than a bit peeved by the way the mall rat donation is recorded and in moments is busy with properly transcribing the information and making a duplicate for record keeping before adding it to the military manifest, which in contrast is neat, legible and easily compared to the visible supplies. For those that have met the squad before, the lack of Cerris stomping about acting a potential hardboiled ass might be a bit shocking, but one may assume he is near if they are present. Either way Lt. Ripley is clearly taking charge for now, sorting through the paperwork before offering the secretary the documents, a chain of custody form and a pen so that Hare town could officially take possession of the gathered and accounted for offerings. "Here miss, this should account for everything save that last load of scrap which was weighed but not sorted, If you'll just sign and initial in the appropriate spots..."

The massive tentacles monster looks sheepishly at the group, "I don't know what you want from me, but I'm willing to help other wise..." She holds out tentacles Chell which flare to life before killing many of the mosquitos around her. She looks over all the rabbits and smiles like a happy child, "I remember my pet bunny, not as cute as these little guys she says before she starts following around the Mall rat considering someone that cool would know what she could be doing. The moment she see her donating she smiles, "Oh Oh I got stuff to give." She removes a duffle bag from her body that is partial melted on one side and filled with bullet hold on the other. "I have about twenty-five different infection strains. Would any of these be helpful?"

The Coyote-woman is still just hanging around. Standing in the middle of it all, she managed not to be in the way of anyone as traffic flows around her. All the hurrying, all the smells from all the different places. She laughs a little, twirling her way around to someone whose smell she recognizes. Chell, yes, that rat, she steps into her line of sight, though stands at a distance. She'll wait until she's notices? Well, unless otherwise questioned. She stays quiet for now, not responding to any of what the rabbit-secretary was asking for. She didn't look like she was part of the group. She didn't look like she was part of anything. Was she here alone, then, with nothing to offer? Oh, she had so much to offer, but she didn't yet know how to offer it.

The secretary takes a long look at the forms, then the supplies proper. Visual inspection, mental calculations, all that jazz. "Seems like this is in order. The clinic is over there. The workshops for the tools are o-" She stops, eyeing Chell. ".... Why is she here?" Bunny ears flatten as she reguards the herm, apparently the grapevine had bad things to say about hir even up here.

The bunny boys with Herma start waking up fully. The ones already awake and prone to the inuuendo and the cleavage reveal however were still young boys and had no sense of control yet. To punctuate this point of their hormonal levels being bonkers after the eggpocalypse, three of them got overexcited to the point that they ended up popping out two eggs each from what may as well be termed ovipositor hybrids now instead of straight-up bunny wangs. This was mostly unseen...except for one blue and green striped egg from one of the boys practically being launched from one young bunny boy and onto Herma's chest where the impact cracks it open. Thankfully it wasn't like a chicken egg, but more like a cadbury cream egg under the calcium shell. And rather edible too.

Mickey slings one leg over and transfers seamlessly into a lean against the side of the bike. Using the moment to give a little stretch in place of both furred and feathered limbs, she agrees with an eager squeak. "Aah yeah. Nothing like a little ride outside. Shame the rat's are gonna strip hher; figure I use the excuse to give her one more ride." she says with a pat to the machine, then digs around her vest for a smoke. A curious glance is given to the waving mass of flesh and tentacles, but she calmly takes it in stride as she sparks up. "And hey, at least we're lost in company eh?" she flashes a thumbs up, takes a puff, then unloads the bags as she continues. "I mean. I just got back in the city, right? Rat's already send me out on two jobs. Both on napkins. One almost turned into a fight. Someone threw a spear." She shakes her head, keeps her good natured smirk, then seeks her canteen to drink from. "Almost escalated quickly. Be cool to get to see you work," she remarks; oblivious to the attention Chell was drawing from the natives.

Getting egg on your boss's face deserved a wise crack."Geeze. You guys came from that alone?" Herma wiped some of the cadbury 'yoke' off of hir shirt and then slowly licked it off hir fingers. Herma silently savored the taste while the boys were going into hyper-drive to sort things by the type of parts it was. Mostly it was those ridiculous copper hub caps that used to be popular in the city years ago.

Chell smiles appreciatively for the impromptu extermination by tentacle, and waves enthusiastically to Smokie. The mouse starts to speak her thanks to Kilsa when shi catches the sharp look from the secretary. "I'm ah... this is..." Hir hands wring together as shi contemplates hir response more carefully. "I'm an engineer so if ah... if um... if you need help setting up the stuff I can..." Shi trails off, taking a step back and to the side, clearly looking to avoid the scrutiny of the secretary and any of the other bunnies.

Once Everything is verified the Lt. puts her copies of the paperwork into protective casings and bounds over to the truck. The rest of the squad and accompanying work force set about moving items toward the indicated regions save that last bit. The truck on the other hand changes, purposefully making a trademarked sound of transformation, it proves itself to be more than meets the eye by rearranging its parts into that of a great metallic winged serpent before nanites set about making that biological before everyone's very eyes. This form doesn't last though as folks without hands and rigid vertebrae are not as good at lifting and carrying loads. So in moments the rather well known feathered serpent, whom had been eyeing Mickey like Grade A prime cut, shifts again becoming a hulking armored dinosaur, hoisting a palet in each hand and bracing them upon his slightly hunched and very armored back before asking "Where was that last part? May as well get this part underway too, we can play squeeze the squeaky toy later, right now you have a crisis to manage right?" Wonder how long Cerris' sanity and altruistic attitude will last with folks like Smokie, Chell and Mickey around to either goad or stimulate him until instinct tries to run its course.

Kilsa notices the rabbit is look at Chell and ties to avert her attention, "Um, I was wondering I have something else that might help... This is something I'm a little ashamed off." She pull out a black vial that has a picture of blackhole on it, "This probably won't do much for you people but it would help if you need to dig holes or fight off enemies. Before you use it I should probably demonstrate but that only if you need it." She continue to talk before moving her tentacles covering Chell after noticing her discomfort, "I can do many other things if you need, I love helping out, if you go enemies I would happily remove them, if you got a need for tunnels dug I can make it happen." She continues to lists her skills.

Ah, that face, the mouse. So familiar. Worried, blushing. Yes, that's exactly who she remembers. Coyote-woman skirts around the crowd, lost for a moment, until she comes up behing Chell and Mickey, while the strange tentacled-creature is distracting and distracted. A light-tipped claw on the shoulder, before she turns, lost for a moment in watching the sudden transformation. That beast was familiar too, as was its speech. Hm. Something she liked... Ahh, yes. She needed to stop and see her god-daughter some time. Her hard grin turned to a soft smile on her muzzle. For now, back to Chell. "Hello, my tenant."

This rabbit girl was still giving Chell the distrusting glare. Kilsa's intervention however was a reprieve for the tentacle horror. "Uh..Demonstration? Alright i guess. Demonstrate away." And while that was going on, one of the boys that got overexcited hops down to stare at Smokie, then point the proper direction. The other two boys follow suit for jumping town, taking their eggs with them and mumbling about being glad the egg thing is on a wind-down. "We'll be able to get our own back into the fields once they get their new equipment. After they recover from the holiday of course."

Mickey rubs her legs after unloading the last bag to join the other supplies, finally getting used to standing upright once again. She's not so engrossed with watching the passing soldiers that she misses the sudden collapse of action centering around Chell. The appearance of a coyote however does surprise her. "Oi, y'look familiar," the rat squints, trying to place it. Must of been smaller..and slightly more stuffy-looking, wasn't it? "Maybe the best time to get to work outta sight before she starts glarin' at you again, eh?" Mick suggests helpfully.

Herma blinked as sie looked at the those rabbit boys zip by so fast that sie mentally added a BGM from Sonic 3. Sie started taking count of the sorted scrap, filling out the fourms and then finally handing it the to Secretary. "Okay, Here's the paper work for your new donation of gaudy looking hubcaps that spin, tire irons, beer cans, and bottle caps. Is there anything else I can do to turn this junk into tools?"

A whispered response, much lower than hir usual low volume voice. "I.. yeah," the mouse agrees with Mickey. Looking about, shi starts to make moves to help the bunny boys. Not being a burly, strong, muscle-bound weightlifter, shi can barely handle a few boxes of crap, and a few spinnin' hubcaps. Shi takes the time to make sure that there's almost always someone or something else between hirself and the Secretary's line of sight. "Creepy..."

The shuddering steps of the heavily laden dino super-soldier move off in the direction indicated by the little egg-shooting dudes as the workshop. With his squad double timing it to help out, Cerris begins making short work of relocating the scrap. His people obligingly focus largely on tools and other items that can be put to immediate use. All the while the massive brute of a soldier was watching, his eyes hungry and his head full of Nostalgia as he spots more and more people he knows or knew intimately. For a moment there is even a low lusty growl in the form of " Miiickeeeey " But with his back turned and all the noise, it was surely just some whisper on the breeze right?

"Prepare yourself.." Kilsa smiles and decides to do things slowly, she makes a little show of gripping her head, "Heeereeee.." He body slowly turn back as her arms grow into larger and larger. "Weeee." She is loving the attention from the singular bunny as her face become that of a lionnes as she direct her nanites to do the final touch. "Go!" The gigantic solid black creature has star-like lights dotting all over her body her torse reflects the constillation of leo while a heart shape of pink points appear on her butt as she towers over the little bunny, "Inject that in someone you trust because you don't want a crazed one of these running around.." She idly swipes a claw near the bunny to show the incredible heat. "Now on the other end of things, I've also given you about 25 for so vials of Treant, If you want a form that can help things grow I can't think of anything better." She looks around at the strange rabbits and smiles, "I guess I luck out being an adept, I wish there was more I could do besides manual labor to help. I know you want salvage but I've always been a fan of embracing this infection to furthering human ends, with that I've packed in a few chocolate cow and heh heh Busty Cow. I've against my better judgment also placed in a walking vagina vial" She pass various small boxes with labels. "I've collect these in my spar time so if you need more just come by the wet bitch in fairhaven. I've got a room there." She winks at the bunny and adds, "Its doesn't all have to be business."

She was brushed off. Not even acknowledged by the mouse. Of course, she gained Mickey's attention, and perhaps, some of the resident rabbits. Huh. Did they like what they saw? Maybe being so modestly but thoroughly dressed was attractive to them. Maybe, she looked exotic in her almost gypsy-like cobbling of salvaged and re-purposed items that she called dress. Maybe, they liked her gun. Yes, that old gun was very sexy. But no. In other matters, things were starting to move, and she looked around, watching it all run by. She caught that dinosaur's eye now and again with her own, and couldn't resist a cute pose, but whenever she saw him, she heard a distant voice in her head, telling her, "You ought to meet your god-daughter". Weird. Well, people were starting to move stuff. She stood out of the way. Totally useless? She liked to think that she was making a montage in her head to show Coyote later. Of course, she'd give a paw here and there, with a recovering of a dropped item here, and the help of moving a two-person-lifter attempting to be lifted by one person. She wasn't terribly strong, but she was more than adequate for her height and build.

Some of the bunny boys starts collecting scrap to take to the workshops. Others just stared at Kilsa, not entirely understanding how to use those vials even though they just saw an example. They were just a little confused and probably weren't raised in the city. Probably. "Where?" A bunch of rabbits without maps, these.

The Secretary checks a few things off on the clipboard, never once taking her eyes of Chell while fielding some responces to others. "If you can keep an eye on that bad egg there," she says in indication of Chell, "this can be unloaded faster. I'm pretty sure there's enough surplus candy eggs to take home as payment. Who knows what we'd need them for. Right this way please." And deeper into the town they go.

Mickey stomps out her smokeable, then lugs a bag in each hand to join the conga-line trickling inward. Like Chell, she's overloaded. Practiced delivery has the rat slightly more balanced then the mouse, and she finds herself slowing down so that she didn't accidentally step on hir tail. When they pass the snappish lead lapine she breathes a sigh of relief. "What'd you do to them anyway? Thought you said you were lost." She glances back to watch Herma speak to the bunny, and shortly before she loses sight she stops in the middle of the supply chain. "Hmm?" She questions as her head spins around, trying to identify the direction from where people were branching off, then picks one seemingly at random. Following her ears and feet, she tags along with a troop which she suspects were carting food supplies. Or it could be power tools. She honestly was rolling the dice on this whole day.

Herma pulled one of the bunny boys aside with hir, and a few hammers and nails to go along with some sturdy wood. "The most important part of making a craft bench is that that is has to be sturdy enough that the two of us could do a strip tease on it with out it falling apart. To make that happen you nead to make sure it's level, I usually test level by placing a marble on it." Herma put hir cock on one of the tables and dripping pre rolled down the grain and off the other side. "And the table that I'm putting my drooling cock on is not level at all."

"I don't even know I've never even met these people before!" The engineer is a bit excited at this point, eyes wide behind hir glasses as shi walks along with the much cooler Rat. Hir voice raises in volume, but is still below what normal people would consider a whisper. "Aside from you and Smokie back there, I don't think I've even met anyone else responding." Hir face scrunches a bit as shi stops to set hir box down to shake out hir burning arms. "And Cerris' bunch too." With that, shi picks up the box and spinners again, mumbling something about things being better in the workshops.

Cerris for his part remains on good behavior, though likely because a town of egg shooting rabbits strike him as too odd to get worked up over and all of the people that do get him going have been kept at a distance as he works, his lt. working with the other soldiers to keep the rest at a distance, especially the coyote.

Kilsa doesn't do much more transforming except for becoming a large metallic badger as she goes about helping to move stuff and contributing in any way she can. She notices that she hasn't felt the urge to do anything wicked to these bunnies, maybe the therapy is working. Just to test she walks up to a bunny and puts a hand on their shoulder, "Good job." She says randomly trying to avoid feeling awkward as the desire to overpower and dominate them only has a faint flicker in her mind. She sigh and smiles on the inside feeling more capable than ever.

Mickey clicks her tongue softly. "It looks like your reputation proceeds you then. Always cool to have a rap sheet," she snickers. "Good or bad. Look at it as a plus.. And I was wondering why that lieutenant looked familiar.." Explained why the fur along the back of her neck was starting to bristle too. Her head turns, as if trying to spot a cleverly camo'd stare, then stops when they reach the workshops. "This is you, right?" She asks Chell, surveys the work, and tries not to snicker at the impromptu leveling job Herma is giving. "Well ain't that something.." She looks further down the line. "Guess they're sortin' grub down there. Hopefully the tables there were already leveled. See if I can flag down a stronger set of arms to help me with the second trip. Stay clean, yeah?" She winks to the mouse and raises her hat; intent on dropping off the goods and seeing what she could stick her nose in.

Everything seems to be getting under a good bit of momentum. Sort of. Some bumps here and there. But there was one thing left for that 'secretary' to say. "I'm sorry, but while we're here please try to avoid any...procreation activities. We've got enough egg problems right now." If it wasn't apparent enough in the last few days. Still, there was planty of work to be done and a few of them could probably play after the work is done!

So many noises and sights, so much to be moved. Stuff. All that damn stuff. She laughed about it, laughed all the time, laughed it all off. She laughed her way out of work. Maybe the bunnies had heard about her. Maybe they'd heard about her cult. They'd certainly heard of Chell's evil mad-science explosions in Smokie's basement, where Chell's lab was currently set up. Maybe they'd heard about that nanite grenade she'd thrown in the lobby three years ago. Maybe, rumors about how she lost her ear, or maybe how she had spent a year or two as a nonmorphic coyote, hardly speaking, eating ferals. Well, that last one she was sure no one knew about. Maybe a few people, but it was one of those things where hardly anyone would make the connection between this laughing songdog and the scruffy wild-dog. Besides, these rabbits had never seen her in action. She'd been up in the mountains before, though. Where was that? Round Mountain? Yes. But here now. She was getting bored moving stuff. All this stuff. People on their own, whether or not they were people still, consumed so many resources, so much. So many tools and resources. She was watching. She was waiting. Coyote is always waiting, and he is always hungry.

Herma zipped hir pants back up just as hir bunny boy assistant made another egg. Smiling while sie bends over to pick up a hammer sie whispers to hirself that sie still has the charm that brings all the boys to the yard.

Chell nods once, then once more, setting up the small box shi was carrying once they reached the workshop. "Yes um... I think I'll keep myself more in the labs now and do less fieldwork though." Hir eyes flick to the leveling and shi just turns a deeper shade of red. "Thought I've seen it all..." With a wave shi greets Mickey and the rest. "Yes be safe out there on your runs. Hopefully you'll get to keep your scooter."
