Standing at the entrance to Eureka, a Vespikitty in military garb looks out, "This will be the hardest position to defend, the gates." Shi says looking over hir troops. "We have scouts positioned along the walls, we have our own weapons ready, but as stands we aren't going to make it. I hope those other cities can send help." Shi says getting hir own M4 ready, locked and loaded, A Wolf Spider runs up to join the Vespikitty, "Sir! I count forty enemy ground troops, five full armor suits, two tanks." The Vespikitty sighs, "Along with a battery of morter launchers, Sir." Then lowers her salute. "Thank you Liutenant..."

It appears most of the ground troops are organizing around the gate that leads out towards the creepy forest, so that's where Selyra goes. A collie with modest assets, dressed in wealthy-looking white clothes, approaches the site. Respectfully waiting for the two soldiers to finish speaking, shi folds hir paws behind hir back and steps up. "I received the call for help. I'm... kind of an agent for Zephyr, but more importantly, I lead and manage the Surrogate Brotherhood." shi explains, waiting for any instruction onn how shi can assist the people of Eureka.

Miora follows behind Selyra, the husky tagging along her large medicle kit in hand, her bag at her side, scarf around her neck and glasses perched softly on her snout, she wore a knee length skirt, her top wearing a slightly frilled well kept tshirt, the husky nervously glancing from side to side, not sure what was going to happen, although knowing the call for help went out she was always one to give aid. When or however seh could, and if it was a call for help, chances are someone may be hurt.

Anbessa padding up behind the collie seems to be a human in a rather clean fitting black suit gazing out over the many soldiers with his unnatural platinum eyes as he nods upon hearing Selyra's words, looking towards the vespikitty as he speaks. "Same thing here. Surrogate Brotherhood at your service." He says, smiling as his hands grip his recently retrieved M4 custom with underbarrel Masterkey. Even if he may not be getting close to the action, it doesn't hurt to be careful. Also a light on his shoulder is visible, seemingly a very very wired up M1911A1 that seems to be 'Fully Charged', if the light bar on the gun shows on the side.

As a frequent assistant over at both the military base and police station, Dio felt a pull from both duty and morality to take up arms and defend the ever growing city. Taking a spot along the wall, a semi-formally dressed silver lion peers into the forest beyond, weapon at the ready. A shotgun lays strapped to his broad back, waiting to be use for a future closer range fight and choosing to wield a borrowed M4 from the armory for now. "Tanks?" He exclaims, rising up after hearing the news, causing a slight jingle upon his belt, revealing a small collection of grenades faithfully attached. "I hope we have plenty of anti-armor if we're dealing with such things." New arrivals coming on scene, he gives them a hearty little wave and gives his weapon a solid check for impending events. "Are they the Chinese perhaps?"

Lizzie walked approached the area in full rsx combat armor with a laser pistol in her shoulder holster, a medkit on her hip, and a combat knife stuck in her boot. The human made her way to the officer on duty, raising her right hand up in a little salute. "Reporting in. Where the fuck do you need us?" She didn't have the fancy equipment some of the others sported and nanites didn't really do anything for her so no mutations but hell, she did have some training at least.

The Vespiakity looks over those coming in, mostly to Miora, smelling the heat from her. "Alright... this is all the other cities?" shi asks, "And you! Are you going to be able to control yourself to be of use?" shi asks pointing to Miora. "Alright, if this is what we get." Shi says looking over to Dio next, "Chinese of course, who else besides them who before a few months ago were bombing the ever living crap out of us." shi continues. "They are rolling over toward the forest quickly, we'll see scouts or-" Shi is cut off by a loud whistling sound! "TAKE COVER!" shi yells out, the solders all diving behind buildings, the wall, trees! A final word, "Go scout them, see if there is any way to stop them!" Then somewhere in the city, a loud explosion.

Seeing Dio look over the assembled team, Selyra gives him a wave and smile. "Hello again, Dio. I'm sorry for what happened. We'll talk." shi tells him from hir place near the wall. As the collie spots the RSX agent showing up on the scene, shi rolls hir eyes and sighs quietly, cursing hir luck. Deciding not to worry about the bad-mouthed RSX agent, Selyra listens to the vespikitty start to explain thing, before the whistling and order for cover. Quickly, the collie dashes for the wall, hiding behind it like some of the others. "You said the gates were the hardest position to defend... WHY!?" shi shouts to the vespikitty, thinking the wall and gates should be the best place to defend.

Miora glances quietly at all those around, doing her best not to appear frail next to all the bigger people here, blushing a bit as she glanced around the room to them then to Vespiakity. She listens closely to what he says, her tail tucked as she does her best to pay attention to the kitty, not really in heat, although she still seemed to smell of it, no matter ho much she tried to get rid of it. Miora yelps at the yell to take cover, quickly jumping to the same place as Selyra, quickly ducking down next to the collie, her ears pinned back and her tail tucked between her legs. Glancing around despite being scared to see if anyone needed any aid or was injured.

Anbessa goes tense at the explostion, but quickly moves in next to Selyra as his hands grip his M4 all the tighter. Sure, he has been through firefights, but this seems more like a small war. Which worried the fuck out of the human male in the suit, who gulps as he looks over towards Selyra and Miora. Next looking towards Dio, the human fromns as he nods in agreement with Selyra. "Sorry for everything, if things turn for the worst here." Anbessa says, him ticking the safety off on his M4 as he looks around the wall towards where everything is going on. Just a short peek, since right after he quickly ducks back into cover. He doesn't really know how well armed the enemy is, but if they have TANKS, then it is better to be safe than sorry.

"Yes," Dio replies, looking directly at Selyra, and then at Anbessa. "We have much to talk about. Perhaps over dinner." Continuing to check over his weapon, he pulls out the magazine and takes a peek, slamming it back in after being satisfied with his inspection. Alarm going off, the lion immediately heads for cover, ducking below the wall and drawing his attention towards the explosion. "Very well," Dio agrees. "I'll assist in scouting and perhaps cutting away some of their advance. We should head out before it's too late."

Lizzie dove for cover at the first blasts of the morter, hiding behind the wall with her back pressed into it as she counts the number of explosions to try to estimate the total count of artillery firing. The agent looked over toward teh in heat herm collie with a small sneer and chuckled. "Gates are built to be fuckin' driving through. You think it'll be easier to drive a god damn tank through a wall or blast the shit out of a fuckin' door with a god damn path through it?"

Once the blasts died down she twirled around, darting out the gate and running low toward the nearest tree line to see about dealing with the enemy scouts, likely spotters for the blasts, and with some luck if she could get all the way around to the morters and deal with the guards then the weapons could be turned on the oncoming soldiers and tanks from behind. It wasn't a perfect plan and she'd need the help of everyone but hopefully someone else would come into the woods with a similar idea.

The human echos the Vespikitty commander's thoughts, "Exactly, one shell to the gate and instant path into the city. We need them stopped before that heavy armor gets to it. It will repel small troops and small arms all day, but let that armor get here and we won't have anything to stop it." shi says. As Miora makes her dive, that is when shi notices, "Oh, just one of those always in heat types.. are you sure you should be going out there husky?" shi asks, indicating the baby belly she has. "No matter, we need all the help we can get. The mine field won't stop them for long, get out here and disable their armor if you can, or see if there is anything else that can slow them down besides the trees!" Then shi turns to hir own men and women at arms, "Go see the damaged done by that morter, if it hit the wall we might have a new hardest place to defend." shi says, 6 saluting hir and running off.

Lizzie already going out to take a look around can easily hear the sounds of tanks rolling over the underbrush and the sounds of the heavy armor individual suits smashing over or cutting down the trees to make a path through the forest. No signs of scouts or other personal yet though.

The prospect of the enemy's artillery washes over Selyra, filling hir with a heat-pounding fear momentarily. However, the words heard around hir bring hir back to reality, before shi takes a deep breath. Catching what the RSX agent says, shi shoots her a glare. "Please don't talk to me again. I'm asking nicely." shi comments, trying to get hir mind focused back into it, but they have tanks! Another deep breath, and shi gets hirself up onto the wall where the normal patrols would be stationed, ducking down behind cover. Concentration on hir keen vision, shi peeks up from behind the cover, peering as far between the trees as shi can.

Miora readies her most offensive magic she has currently, illusion, it may not be much but perhaps she could at least distract the enemy if need be. Taking a few deep breaths she does her best to keep calm and concentrate, heading up towards the wall with Selyra, peaking over, her hands glowing a bit, ready to make any illusions she could to give cover or help distract the enemy she would do so. At vespikitty's comment she blushes, knowing she was preggers. "I know... I am not really here as much of a fighter... I am more here to aid where I can, if you have any wounded or injured I can heal them..." her voice was shaking a bit, still nervous from the explosions, she peaks over the wall once more, keeping an eye out for where she can help those outside it or those in it.

Anbessa looks towards the Vespikitty as he nods his head. "Don't worry. I can at least take out one Tank or a line, but the other one needs to be dealt with in one way or another." He warns, the human pointing his finger towards the wired up pistol on his shoulder. Though he watches the other human quietly, he soon looks towards Selyra before she goes to speak again. "Remember all the stuff I taught you with that sniper rifle!" Anbessa says before he bolts off in a different direction as he climbs the wall to gain a vantage point, his hands gripping his M4 close to his chest as he tries to stay ducked down to stay out of any line of fire. All he needs is to gain a clear sight of it... Though he takes a moment to observe the RSx Agent, he cannot help but raise his M4 and aim down it's ACOG scope to see if he can observe a bit more of a distance. May as well provide some covering fire until he can get clear aim at a tank!

Taking a heavy breath, Dio steels himself a bit and heads down the wall. "I'm heading down into the forest," he says, flicking the safety off upon his weapon and straightening his suit. Tanks, stopping them would certainly be a large problem. The lion began to think over possible solutions as he makes his way out the gate and into the forest beyond, taking cover behind an available tree. One shell upon the gate and that would be the end of that. Perhaps the mortars could be used to their advantage, similar to the human's thoughts. Seeing as she's the only one out there, the lion gives her a firm nod and begins pushing further into the forest to hopefully reach the mortar firing area or perhaps stumbling upon something even more advantageous. The life of a scout.

"Sure, something fuckin' happens I won't give you a warning." Lizzie said to Salyra before getting away and running into the trees and ignoring any further bits of conversation from the one staying near the walls. Even if the ones in the city weren't rsx she wasn't about to just let the place get overrun and any distraction the others provided would certainly be welcome as she manuevered around farther out. Avoiding the heavy armor and tanks was a priority to circle around to the morter units and any spotters would be targets of opportunity if it looked safe enough. Dio joined her in her rush at least and she gave the lion beast a little nod. He might be infected, something the top end commands couldn't risk being corrupted by, but on the field at this level it was certainly damn useful to have some of the nanite infected on board. She gave him a few hand signals to indicate her next direction for co-ordination before slipping farther into the trees.

With some on the walls, and some scouting out, the enemies order a halt. They are still a few houndred yards away, but, those with keen eyes or out in the forest far enough could tell they are preparing to launch a full volley of morters into the town!

Dio's sneaking abilities lends well, as he spots a forward observer team a few feet away, who haven't spotted him, however, Lizzie is not so lucky, finding a pistol to her back, and a few feet away from her a rifle pointed at her head. They are in the tree line, well covered, so help is not likely.

"What a joke..." Selyra mumbles after Lizzie's comment, sighing a little. Hir eyes focus on the enemy units shi's able to spot from hir distance, tensing up as hir lower lip quivers. "I-I... I see two tanks!" shi calls out over hir shoulder to hir side of the battle. "A-and five armored suits. Lots of men. The tanks are on the outsides, the suits are in front, and the men are in the middle." shi finishes hir report, apparently able to see all of that from where shi was. Knowing it's Miora who comes up next to hir, shi swallows audibly. "S-sweetie..." shi starts, not caring who might hear hir. "Th-this is more firepower than we've ever dealt with... I... if anything happens, just know how much I love you..." shi tells the husky, giving a glance to Anbessa, if he looks, telling him the same thing. "The suits have glass coverings! Let's see if we can punch through that!" shi tells the others, mainly the ones that have rifles in their hands. Slipping hir sniper rifle off hir back, shi focuses on the one that seems to be barking the orders, waiting until he stops for that very purpose, and readies hir shot. Shi holds hir breath, focuses hir all on this bullet, and pulls the trigger while the crosshair points just at his head.

Miora looks up to Selyra nodding at her and leaning in to give a quick smooch, although as they see through her illusion she whimpers... maybe another one... She does her best, taking a deep inhale and doing her honest best to focus hard with her illusion. Hoping to make a creature big enough to scare off Lizzie's attackers, a rather large dragonish lizard like beast was the intended design in mind, wanting to give enough cover for the girl to at least duck out of the way or perhaps distract them long enough for her to take advantage of them. Feeling a bit drained from the first mass illusion, hoping htis one will fair better at least.

Anbessa can hear Selyra's words as she gives her report, him perking up as he hears about the tanks and where they are coming from. He raises his head for a moment to put his M4 on his back before he pulls out his wired up pistol out of it's holster. Following where he sees Selyra aim, he squints to try to spot what she sees... Only barely able to spot a soldier falling in the distance and the tanks! Smirking, Anbessa raises up Zeus, the dark plated M1911A1 sporting the greek symbol of that god pinging in confirmation of it's coming use as he sits still and aims for one of the pairs of tanks... A bit too far to fire just now, but with a little patience of it's approach... Steady... Steady...

Dio pushes his way through the forest, carefully making sure to create as little noise he possibly can. Not normally proficient in matters of stealth, the lion was pleasantly surprised to get the drop on two soldiers. It's strange though, he hasn't heard a single gunshot from the enemy. And if they had so much artillery, why weren't they leveling the town and just be done with the matter? There's something a bit more to this situation. He needed information. Raising the weapon to his shoulder, he pops out of his hiding place and turns the barrel towards the unsuspecting observers. "Hands up," he says in an intimidation, growling voice, clicking his weapon to demonstrate the universal language of 'you have a gun pointed to your head'. "Move an inch and I gun you both down and add another body to my count. Give me information and we both go home happy. Speak English?"

Lizzie froze for a moment as she felt the pistol on her head and saw the riflemen across the way. Her muscles relaxed a little after and she suddenly spun about, unaware of what the illusion was about to do. Her head shifted down as her arm came up and legs twisted to the side, using her weight to pull the other soldier between her and the rifleman as her knee came up for her shields groin. The extra padding and her own combat armor would hopefully help with the return fire. Her laser pistol sparked off, hopefully getting in a quick killing shot while the other was stunned, and then pressed under the pistol weilders helmet against his neck before the trigger was pulled in a few smooth motions. It would be hard to pull off but with some luck and skill perhaps it all would work out.

The shot from Selyra rings clear, hitting the one walking around and talking square in the head. He falls over, but a team move over to him quickly, red cross patches of medics. Another hops down out of a tank and starts talking, being a bit more careful to stay covered behind the mech suits, as everyone moves into more defendable positions! The suits move to provide as much cover as possible, the the sudden appearience of the large dragonish creature spooks quite a few into firing at it! The current one giving orders seems to try and calm things down, and as the bullets fly right through it, they all soon stop. The one in command looks out between the suits as if trying to assess what is going on, and calling on a radio.

Lizzie's attempted manuver gets her a shot in the back from the pistol holder as she hits him, and another shot in the leg from the rifleman. The Pistol holder backs up a bit, and looks to be ready to shot her in the head, but the rifleman steps forward and, without taking the rilfe off of her, lowers the other's arm. Over their radio some chinese is heard, and they answer back.

Meanwhile, Dio has the most success. The two he managed to sneek up on raise their hands, and one of them even says, "Want talk! No talk fire every hour." Quite plain and bluntly.

From inside the walls, comes a report, "Sir, we have wounded, solders and civilans from the last morter, if you have a medic, we could use them!" Behind the Wolf Spider come a few others carrying 5 on stretchers. The Vespikitty looks them over, "Any medics?!" shi calls out.

Selyra ducks back behind cover when the bullets start to fly, seeing hat Miora's illusion manages to cause utter chaos for their ranks. Shooting the husky a quick smile, shi notices the vespikitty calling for medical aide, then pats the blue canine's head. "Hey, get going with her, they have injured people! If I get done here, I'll come help you. I love you." shi says, urging the girl to go with them. Just because shi can see far distances doesn't mean shi can hear far distances. The conversation Dio has the the soldiers is not heard, so shi doesn't know to hold fire. Hir next shot is aimed at one of the medics that tend to the wounded officer shi hirself shot, holding hir breath and pulling the trigger once more.

A success, for the time being. Hopefully these soldiers wouldn't get too courageous. He did mean what he said, letting them go if they gave him what he wanted. "Really? I had a feeling. You could've leveled this entire town if you wanted," he comments, M4 still leveled to their heads. "Doing well. Don't move and I promise both of us will go home happy. Make a call on your radios and stop this and so shall I." Bringing a finger to his ear, the lion begins to open a communication channel to the commander upon the walls and the others should they accept. "They're firing mortars every hour," he speaks. "And they wish to talk. They could've destroyed this town, but didn't. Cease fire should they follow suit."

"Now then," he says to the soldiers. "Make your call on the radio. We can talk this all out. Cease fire and stop advance."
