They remind you of something that a dog might dig if it were zealous about it. You don't give it much thought until you come across a loose stack of land mines sitting under a tree. It seems some that some enterprising individual with a good nose has decided that this was going too far. You can't help but feel grateful, considering how many of those things you'd have stepped on in the past few minutes.
