A clear sky, with only a mild breeze and slightly chilly, Sasha couldn't have really asked for better this late in the year, but as she holds a borrowed coat tighter to herself, standing behind the serving station at the middle of the line. She has to stand with her side to the table, her MASSIVELY bloated middle making facing forward nearly impossible and potentally a desaster if she moved in the wrong way. To one side of her are heating bins that she, herself, keeps warm. Inside is BBQ pulled pork, hot dogs, polish sausages, burgers, and boneless grilled chicken breasts. On the otherside, the side that is open to the public, are various kinds of buns, hogie rolls, hot dog buns, burger buns, plain bread. Farther down the table, various sliced veggies and toppings for the main course, then, side items, potato salad, maccaroni salad, carrot sticks, celery sticks, apple slices, and bananas. Water, milk, tea, coffee, and... Sasha quivers a bit at the thought of the last drink container... cum, with disposable cups.

Back closer to the station building itself, various grills are set up, a station for flattop cooking, and piles of coolers for the meats. Manning the grills are three large alpha huskies, a minotaur, and a 6H, all looking as 'meaty' as the food being served, stretching their uniforms to the breaking point, and all VERY male. Various people from RSX, New Dawn, The Mall, The Library, and even ferals off the street mill about, waiting for the serving table to offically open.

Sergeant Lucas Alexander Pierce, in all his heavily pregnant glory, was looking uncomfortable, absently rubbing at his arm, as if something he was used to wearing was missing. He swallowed and walked over to one of the tables, grabbing a disposable cup for himself. He eyes one of the containers then shakes his head and grabs himself a glass of water. He sips gingerly from the cup, then scowls, a shiver rolling down his spine. Waddling over towards Sasha he leans in towards the barbecue, trying to keep the smell of grilled meats in his nostrils to keep him focused. "Ma'am, I'll try to be here as long as I can, but I don't have my armband today, and I don't know how long I can stay... professional, especially this close to lunch."

The precinct still feels somewhat new to her, in spite of the many months she's been working with them. Community outreach beats the beat, and a gnawing hunger closes in, the barbecue aggravating it. It's a pleasant day and Gcc has gone without her summer clothing, or any at all for that matter. She's not on duty after all; it's nice to let it all hang out. She walks over to Sasha and Lucas, a friendly smile on her face as she surveys the scene, "Amazing how nicely this is set. It reminds me of before everything went wild." A frown crosses her face, she changes the subject before she has to remember the circumstances too closely, "It's nice out huh?"

Synder walks up and grabs a disposible cup, tail held high as he makes a beeline for the coffee. Happy to have a cup of coffee to sip on now, he grabs a plate and three buns, and makes his way over to wait in line where all the delicious meats are being kept.

"Ahh, nice day for a BBQ, huh?" he says to the stranger in front of him as he gets in line.

Sniff sniff, what's that smell? It smells like... barbecue. Magnus knew there was a gathering to be had, and it was in his best interest to use this opportunity, see what there was to see, assess certain things and have some burgers while at it. It'd been a while since Magnus last bothered to minimize his weaponry, his duty as a front-liner and vanguard demanding his armaments be a bit more serious than the trickster-spy loadout he once used. Old habits never die however, as he carried plenty of holdout weapons more cleverly concealed, he had to... the rest however were fairly easy to spot. One need only look at him to see.

The fennec lands at the end of the street, his booster-guided flight and lack of wings now cemented into his head and habits, he'd broken his legs more times than he cared to admit to get those leg-mounted boosters to behave, but the end result was oh-so satisfying. Tucking his hands into his pockets, Magnus flits his mane from one side of the face to the other, and adorns that familiar, innocent-looking smile ever-present on his lips. He'd briefly fiddle with something in his pocket, the earphones covering those massive ears of his dimming in effect, tunes playing rather than bumping in his cavernous ear canals as he walks towards the origins of the delicious aromas.

'Look at all these police dogs.', he'd think to himself. His head sways with the beats of his music, it was always there for in case he ever got a little too nervous. Once he was standing before the building. "Is this a party of what?" Magnus snickers into one hand and shakes his head, before locking eyes with the most beautiful thing in the world. The object of his affection, the apple of his eyes, the radience of the universe all collected into one focal point, the readied grilled meats fresh off of the barbecue! Swallowing down his saliva, Magnus walks right by Synder and smacks his ass with one hand, casting a wink over one shoulder to the boy before standing right next to Sasha. "One of everything that isn't cooked with bodily fluids or aphrodisiacs, please." He'd snicker~

Mevir strides over to awkwarly grab a plate with his wings' thumbs and move it ontop of his head, between his horns and making a beeline to the rapidly growing line for that sweet BBQ meat, quite glad he got in so early with not a mile long line infront of him.

A tiny green pegasus flitters into the party, hovering just above the crowd. The sight of dozens of comparative giants milling about gives him pause. It's enough to stir up some prey instincts embedded in this equine form. Landing anywhere on the ground is almost certainly a bad idea. Not lethal, maybe, but testing the limits of his nanite-driven durability wouldn't be a good time. He's here to have one. "So glad I have some normal-sized forms saved. No wonder so few people have eaten the Phantom Taco and lived," he mutters to himself, though he doesn't use any of them yet. He steadies his nerves and flies up to Mevir. "Hi. My name's Richard. Mind if I rest on your shoulder?"

Admittedly, this is not the plant's... normal scene. Too many people, all crowded up and making lots of noise. Which has Aglaia lingering at the edges of the crowd,, craddling a thermos of coffee like a lifeline with the occasional sip at it, her gaze skimming along the masses of people in front of her. She's... honestly not sure what the occasion is? There's nippets about it being for this, because of that, drifting through the crowd, but a bunch of people are just here for free food. Admittedly, the prospect of BBQ is what brought her out. It's not a common thing, these days - not that she's seen, anyway - and the smell of it is pretty good. Even if some of the BBQers have her cheeks blushing violet, at the way they show off. Still, she keeps an ear out for when serving starts, and looks for any familiar faces to act like an anchor in all the hubbub. Even as she fidgets, vines twitching and wiggling in her hair.
