Here's an idea for a guide that I haven't made yet:

Flexible Survival is both a multiplayer and a single player game, the multiplayer version is much more interesting. It was based on the single player verson, which is an adult text-based game where you get to play a nameless character, who ends up puzzling through the aftermath of a nanite-caused apocalypse, and sex-crazed others who are infected with transformations, more than willing to rape and pass on some of these mutations, often leaving the character inflicted with a variety of unexpected, and, sometimes unapealing transformations. The multiplayer version is based on the same premise, though much more feature-rich, and the other players are much more polite than the non player characters, other survivers who have retained their sanity, if not their body's origional shape.

The multiplayer version is a vast improvement! You create your own character, with a name! And interact with other players! Also, some of the special abilities you can select at the beginning of the game prevent what you don't want to happen to your character. This is a Muck-like game, which you can connect to one of two ways: Through a telnet client, preferably one specialized for these types of games, or through a web interface. I don't believe the web interface allows you to create a new character, so the telnet connection is probably what you want to focus on. There are multitudes and multitudes of MUD, MOO, and MUSH clients, all of which will allow you to connect. You may want to use one of these downloadable apps, or use a client that opens in a web page (which is much like having a web interface, in itself)
