The Prometheus Virus was what happened when cosmetic nanites were accidentally released into the world without instructions, so they blended the humans they affected with whatever was handy - cars, pets, random imaginings, etc. Sometimes it got confused - and weird animal mixups like this (a friendly blend of porcupine, husky, and toucan) are the result.
